My review follows many of the others. Bagger Dave's is an O.k. meal spot but could be much better. The burger selection is wide but both burgers we had were bland, served in paper wrappers, and served with some soft, mushy, sweet potato chips. I expected better for the prices. Thirty dollars for two burgers with soggy chips and a craft beer for each of us seems a bit much. Our waitress was pleasant though young and a bit lost though not rude at all. I would go back if invited by friends, but this will not be a destination eatery for my wife and I with many better choices around our area.

Very nice place.  The decor is clean and bright and inviting.  The food - it's a glorified fast food restaurant.  The burger was reasonably tasty, but nothing spectacular.  The bun was great.  The meat, like McDonalds.  My fries were pretty decent.

My overall take-away from the place was that they are trying to be a gourmet hamburger place with blah food.

For two drinks, 1/4 burgers and fries we ended up spending $25....not cheap.
I would say, not a good value for what you get.

We probably won't be going back.

It was OK, nothing amazing. Got the  burger, beer, and fries... Would eat there again, but I'm not really that picky. I thought the turnaround time was a bit slow. Love the concept and decor.

All things are not created equal. We went on a slow weds night, and it seamed like the staff was more worried about cleaning then if the food was good. My Train wreck burger was as bland as humanly possible, the pickles were the size of toothpicks and we were charged 50 cents for a 2 oz cup of dipping sauce that wasn't even an 1/8th of the way full. The atmosphere was blah & so were the fries. So sad. The Berkley Crew needs to show this staff whats up.  We won't be back.

My Aunt and I went here today after our long shopping trip at the mall across the street. The atmosphere and decorations immediately got my attention. Very modern, woodsy feel. The TVs played various sporting events (making me even happier.) Because it was out first time here, our waiter (Guy was his name) gave us a recap of the menu and how things worked.

My Aunt ordered a burger (American burger, if I recall) and I opted for the Peanut butter, banana, and honey sandwich. We also ordered a mix batch of the fries.

HOLY SMOLEY. My sandwich was amazing. It's honestly making my mouth water thinking about it. It may not be your cup of tea or maybe you're hesitant about it but I certainly loved it. I'd order it again without a doubt.

My Aunt enjoyed her burger and we also thoroughly enjoyed the fries. They're different and sometimes you need to adventure and try new things :)

Overall, our service was great as well as the food and I will be dining there again.

Just okay.  Nothing outstanding, nothing dreadful.  Okay.

I've been here twice and each time, I was met with outstanding service and a clean, inviting atmosphere.  The sweet potato chips and the homemade fries are where it's at.  Loved them..they were so addictive that I had to push the platter away!  We got ours without any condiments, but on my first visit, I did try the cinnamon honey sauce that was suggested for the sweet potato chips.  Yech!  Did not like it at all.

The sodas are homemade, or "craft" sodas, and I sampled the root beer, the citrus blend (like Sprite) and the diet cola.  Everything tasted great, and the  diet cola tasted much better than any Diet Pepsi (I'm a Diet Coke girl) you'll ever find.

Now onto the main dish.  The burger.  It's a burger joint, folks.  You can get beef burgers, turkey burgers, veggie burgers and I believe (don't quote me) chicken breast sandwiches.  The restaurant serves up several of its own creations, but there is also a form (and mini pencils) available on each table for you to Create Your Own Legend (build your own burger).  On my first visit, I had the Santa Fe Chipotle burger and on the second, I opted to make it my own.

Now, for this place to be a burger joint, you'd expect a great burger, right?  Well, it was a larger burger.    A bland, boring, tasteless burger.  Considering that it is named "Santa Fe Chipotle", you'd imagine a bright, bursting with flavor sandwich, right?  Guacamole, pepper jack cheese, Santa Fe Chipotle sauce...sounds yummy?  Well, it wasn't.  I couldn't taste anything distinctive about the burger.  All the flavors melded together and it just tasted like a wet, sloppy burger.  I was sorely disappointed, but I eased my pain with a few more sweet potato chips.

The second time around, I decided I played around with a few different ingredients because I didn't want a repeat of the first time.  The toppings and condiment list was extensive and you could even choose the type of bun you wanted.  I added sauteed onions and mushrooms, cheese (I can't remember which) and their house sauce.  Unfortunately, the only thing that improved my burger was the salt and pepper I had to add to it to make it taste decent.  Honestly, you could get a more flavorful burger at the Sonic down the street (not knocking Sonic - I love a good Sonic burger!).

The bottom line is, a burger restaurant cannot exist on diet cola and addictive fries alone.  It's a shame because it's staffed with some very friendly people and is a nice, clean place that isn't over booked every night of the week.  I would only return if I couldn't get into another chain restaurant on Hall Road without a ridiculous wait, and even then, I'll be prepared to douse my burger with salt and pepper before taking my first bite.

    Love  the new location !

A coworker bud of mine , never heard of it, so we hit it on Monday.

Received a very warm greeting, & were promptly seated, & Joe S burst onto the scene , with Zero letdown.

    [ also noteworthy were several tables ordered the very FLAMBOYANT shakes... yea shake envy }

We both ordered  BYOB  build your own burgers & split a regular  fry  with sea salt .

My double burger on a honey wheat bun
    sauteed onions, mushrooms
    blue cheese
    romaine lettuce
    jalapenos
    balsamic vinegar
    cajun spice
    pico de gallo
    5 stars all the way

Also  my pal ordered  a Train Wreck Beer , which he loved as it was a 8.2  a.c.

This place is not horrible, but it is nothing fantastic either.

The beer list is really good.  Lots of great Michigan Beers to choose from.  Soda's are homemade and very tasty.

Burgers are good.  Like I said the food isn't horrible, better than McDonald's, but you can get a better burger (I think) at Five Guys, Shamrock Pub, or SmashBurger.  Lots of toppings to choose from.  Burger was VERY messy.  Both my burger and the one The Hubs had fell apart after bite 2 or 3.  A few different cheeses to choose from.

Fries are nice.  Sweet potato chips are also good, something different.  Can get both smothered in toppings...never had those.  I am a traditionalist when it comes to fries.

Service is GREAT!  I have been to two different locations, and the service was awesome at both locations.

This place is a nice change from all the other franchise places that litter Hall Rd, service is nice and consistent.  Food will not blow your mind, but leave you satisfied.

Well, after hearing all of the and fuss about this "legendary" burger, and as a guy's guy meat lover, I needed to give this place a shot.

The look and feel of the place is great. Tons of wood, open kitchen, nice little bar in the back.

I see the menu and had to order the Train Wreck. Fried egg, fries and anything else you can think of on it.

To sum it up, it was bland. It literally didn't taste. I don't know what it is, because I've cooked frozen GFS parties on a flattop at home and got more taste out of a burger than this one.

I can't say I was mad, but when you tout your place as a burger joint, you need to be in the Top 10, and I would choose a Big Buford at Rally's over this.

The fries were "meh". OK. Not great. Again, Wendy's fries are better.

My kid got the sweet potato chips, which were the highlight of our meal.

Service was great I should add. She was friendly and well trained. That is where the 2-stars were earned.

Will I go back? I sincerely doubt it.

Small dry burgers in a large bun. Natural cut fries were Ok. Good Draft beers.

My wife received a gift card for this place so we decided to check it out last weekend.

The place has a very warm ambiance and is definitely on the masculine side when it comes to decorating. Lots of wood and brown tones and the walls have many TV's hanging on them ( I'm getting a good vibe at this point). There is even a working model train set running around the walls on a track. We were lead towards the back where there were TV's at every angle and a nice bar. I'm not much of a drinker anymore so I really can't say much on the selection.

When we sat down and looked at the menu, I immediately noticed the train wreck burger (it's loaded with fresh cut fries, a fried egg, Great Lakes mild cheddar, sautéed onions, sautéed mushrooms, iceberg lettuce, fresh ground beef patties, and Bagger Dave's® Railhouse Burger Sauce® (like Thousand Island dressing), all served on a toasted sesame bun).  I really didn't go any further and knew that I had to try it. My wife ordered a build your own burger. That is when we found out that fries were extra. Really?!?!? I'm paying $7.89 and I have to order the fries separately? This burger better be the best burger that I have ever had. Even with the gift card the red flags rose.

We were both underwhelmed with our burgers. I swear that the patties were those frozen hockey pucks that you get at any store. They weren't bad but there was really nothing noteworthy about them. Christine has turned me on to using Ranch dressing with my fries and today I felt like going down that road.

Their fries and the ranch were really good. This was by far the highlight of the meal.

    So here is our total...

    2 burgers
    2 fries
    2 drinks
2 small cups of ranch dressing

This massive order was just under $30. No really I'm not kidding.

I thought for sure that a mistake had been made but I was wrong. The fries added another $4.59 I'm not sure how to pay for one order of fries since that would be 2.29 and a 1/2 each. Not surprisingly, the small ranch cups added another $.50 apiece.

The one highlight was Amanda (pretty sure that was her name). She was very attentive and helpful. I would have tipped her more but I was not a happy camper after that bill.

    Overall thoughts
The food was decent but did not stand out in anyway. This would not have stopped us from coming back as they had some menu items that sounded very tasty. The restaurant itself was very clean and comfortable. I was very happy to be able to watch the games that were on while we ate.

The biggest negative was feeling like we had been nickel-ed and dime'd while we were there. The bill was the last straw, I will not be back as I do not like feeling like I'm getting ripped off.
