This was mine and my family's first time ever to bahama breeze... Needless to say we were not satisfied at all! I myself work in a restaurant. The waitress, Ashley, was terrible. She got our drink orders and we waited... Then a huge group came in and she took their order before taking ours so ANOTHER waitress noticed it and came over to take our order. She was friendly and very helpful, sadly she wasn't our waitress for the rest of the night. Our waitress only stopped by our table 3 times. We ordered conk fritters as an appetizer and it came at the same time as the rest of the food instead of before. Took forever for our food to come out. My husbands water was empty and we had to ask another server for a refill because our waitress never came to check on us. I have no clue what she was doing because the rest of the staff was refilling her tables drinks, bring out their food, taking orders, etc. absolutely none of the tips should have gone to her. Luckily for her, I work in the food industry and I know tips are how they make a living and we still tippe her over 10% even though in actuality she deserved nothing because everyone else was doing her job for her. First time at that restaurant and will probably not go back. The long wait for the food would have been ok if the waitress had good customer service skills and kept checking on us and was friendly. But instead we barely saw her and other servers had to do her job for her. The food was not worth the prices but it was good.
Review Source:I like this place, I wish we had them on the West Coast. :( The food is always good, prices aren't bad, the decor is nice and airy with high ceilings and the "Bahama" vibe. This time though, we had this awesome server named Noelle. She was perfect! She was timely and brought us our order quickly, we asked for no salt on some of the dishes and she made a note of that happily. She always refilled our waters (it's hot in FL, gotta stay hydrated), and cleared our table with lots of heavy plates in one swoop. Super server!!! She gets a gold star, thank you.
Review Source:I vote with Kiki B, this remains my favorite. And this is my favorite location of my favorite. We always do take-out and the staff always get it right. Try the salmon and enjoy the appetizers. The paella is a little bland for my taste but the serving size is easily enough for 2 hungry adults. I don't drink there. I would never leave if I did. You see I am addicted to steel drum music, man!
BTW, I deducted 1 star because they still do not offer a discount in any of the hundred or so Discount Coupon Books that are everywhere in Orlando. They could at least do a 1 free app with purchase of 1 entrée kind of thing.
Happy Eats!
BTW, did I mention that the Pineapple Upside Down Cake dessert is great? I should have!.
I think all Bahama Breeze restaurants are pretty much the same since it's a chain. This one was what I would expect from a Bahama Breeze. The usual tropical decor, busy and good food. I ordered the jerk chicken pasta (full portion) so I could take half home with me. I've ordered this dish a bunch of times and it was tasty like usual. This restaurant is close to Disney World, and not as expensive compared to eating in the parks. The waitress was very nice and attentive, making sure we had all we needed. Overall it was good and nice to sit and relax a bit after spending the day walking around WDW.
Review Source:After a long day at WDW, we decided to get out of the park and do something else for dinner. Â I'd been to a couple of different locations of Bahama Breeze and the food was always dependable, if not stellar. Â So, I decided to order a nice grilled salmon. Â The side offered was a choice of potatoes, so I ordered the mashed cinnamon sweet potatoes. It also came with the vegetable of the day.
The salmon was properly cooked, but left an oily smear on the plate. Â The first bite of the potatoes just seemed "off." Â I tried it again and realized that it was spiced, not with cinnamon, but with nutmeg. Â In spite of the fact that they are both used in many similar dishes, they are not interchangeable. Â Nutmeg is also one of those spices that must be used gingerly, so to speak. Â This was a heavy handed use and the nutmeg didn't have a fresh taste. Â It had the flavor of a spice that had been on the shelf too long. Â I can't remember the last time that I found sweet potatoes inedible.
Then there were the green beans. Â I understand the concept of "crisp tender." Â While I give them credit for the fact that they were fresh and not frozen or canned, they were undercooked. Â They were so raw that if you bent them in half, they would snap.
So, I ate the salmon, the rest went back to the kitchen. Â
On the plus side the waitress was prompt and very nice.
I won't say that I wouldn't ever go back, but I'd have to have few available options.
Bahama Breeze sweeps you away to the Caribbean as soon as you darken the doors. Â The decor is fitting with the theme - as is the music. Â Bahama allows call-ahead seating - which I highly recommend. Â This allows you to put your name down on the wait list without having to be there and wait in the lobby. Â Being that this location is so close to Disney, call ahead seating will save you a lot of time. Â
Onto the food - it's great. Â I've been to Bahama Breeze more times than I can count and each time it's been fabulous. Â If for some reason it wasn't - the service staff fixed it or comped my bill. Â For appetizers you can't beat the coconut crusted onion rings, chicken tostones, spinach dip, or cuban bread. Â For entrees the fried chicken is amazing - and I know that fried chicken in a Caribbean restaurant is a little unconventional, but they put a nice Caribbean twist on a southern classic. Â The jerk pasta is also great as is the Cuban sandwich. Â I've yet to take a person to Bahama Breeze that left disappointed. Â For dessert you must try the chocolate island - it's sweet and decadent without being too heavy. Â
If I have to add in a complaint about Bahama Breeze it would be that they took my all-time favorite dish off the menu - the kabobs. Â This happened recently and was a little bit of a blow to my love for this place, but I'll still be back.
Very disappointed especially as a non-local. Not knowing this was a chain my party and I wanted to try it out.
The service was good, the music that night was okay, but the food was gawd awful! I ordered the salmon tostada salad and the salmon was over poked and dry. It wasn't flakey or moist at all. What made it worse was the cheese melted on the tostada congealed and ended up being a oily tough mess.
My friend ordered a medium avocado and blue cheese hamburger was made incorrectly three times! Every time the order came back it was inconsistent with the last order. The first one was cooked to well had blue cheese, avocado, Â no lettuce, no tomato, no onion. 2nd time around it had lettuce, onion, tomato, blue cheese and no avocado. Seriously?! The third time they finally got it right with all the toppings included on the house because of all the disaster. In the end, the burger still tasted unseasoned and flat.
Bahama Breeze offers a Caribbean escape with their menu, drinks, music and décor. The restaurant has an island-themed thatched roof hut roof with big paddle fans circulating the air inside the restaurant. The furniture has a wicker & bamboo, casual appearance which invites you to kick back, relax, and leave your worries at the door.
Darden Restaurants has another hit on their hands with this casual dining restaurant adding to the success of Olive Garden, Red Lobster, and Longhorn Steakhouse. This particular Bahama Breeze is located along SR 535 at Vineland Avenue in Lake Buena Vista / Orlando.
You can choose to sit inside and enjoy the full menu, or sit outside under the thatched roof hut bar and have a frosty Adult beverage as you listen to the live music such as Bob Marley, Jimmy Buffett, Beach Boys, reggae, and other steel-drum tropical tunes.
The food is Caribbean-inspired, and you'll find a lot of shrimp, seafood, jerk seasoning, curries, paellas, empanadas, tostones, and rice bowls. I like to start my meal with a cup of Bahamian seafood chowder which is a classic (New England-Style) creamy chowder with shellfish and vegetables. For my main course I like the seared Ahi tuna served with rice and grilled veggies.
Bahama Breeze is open until Midnight, and it's a nice place to sit and unwind after a long day of exploring the theme parks, or wandering the convention hall floors.
Ok so my review of Bahama Breeze is based on their food not their service. Location layouts are all pretty much the same. Tropical! Anyway the food is really good. I always get one of their steak dishes with seasoned potato's and veggies. It's always the same in freshness and quality.
Their appi's are always pretty good and we always order 2 along with our dinner. The closest one to our place in Winter Park. it's about 7 miles or so on Semoran Blvd. When visiting the Orlando area you should give them a try, They have live music at night so it''s a nice plus when you are eating in their outdoor area.
This review is back dated to November 2012. On this evening, I chose the restaurant that we would eat with my family, and it just so happens that we had my nephew who is allergic to anything with peanut. We preempted our server with this information and she said that she would ensure that whatever he ordered would not have anything with peanut. He ordered the chicken fingers off of the children's menu. The server had the kitchen staff substitute grilled chicken for the fried pieces, which would have possibly been fried in oil. Peanut oil.... perhaps, but she curved the possibility. The rest of the table ordered an array if dishes that we all openly shared tastes of. I was able to have a taste of the Paella, swordfish jerk, and firecracker shrimp. All of which were remarkably delicious. I was very impressed with the portion size, the flavors and the freshness of all of the dishes. The restaurant has an airy atmosphere that would be perfect for a dinner date. The mood is set with subtle lighting that is warm and inviting during the evening time. They had a band out on the patio dining area that played tropical Jimmy Buffett typed music. Our server, Mandy was very professional and was very accommodating especially with the choices that she made for us. I will visit this location again, if I happen to come across this area again.
Review Source:First off, I had no clue this was place was a chain. You could not tell from the cuisine. Â Decor when we walked in was spacious and homey.
Our hungry group devoured all of their appetizers. I particularly loved the coconut shrimp...Sooooo flaky, tender, juicy without being greasy. I also tasted the lobster/shrimp quesadilla and Habanero chicken wings (great sauce on the chicken, not too spicy but lots of character). The chefs here must throw down in the kitchen, I swear. Everything was tasty and satisfying
As entrees, I couldn't decide at first but settled on the lobster and shrimp linguine. The white sauce on the pasta was unexpectedly light and tasty. Big lobster chunks in the pasta. Â The good thing about being in a group is you get to taste everyone else's meal. Enjoyed the jerk chicken pasta and BBQ ribs (tender off the bone!). Portions were large.
Ultimate Pina Colada: awesome, full of flavor.
Prices were reasonable. 3 apps + 4 entrees + a drink were about $30 pp.
Overall, I'm a big fan of this chain. Appreciated how their menu was so varied. More like "Caribbean-American- Italian" cuisine. Will be back.
I'm a huge fan of Bahama Breeze!
This location needs some work at the hostess stand. Â The girls there act like school children and are not professional AT ALL. Â They need more maturity there.
The food at Bahama Breeze is amazing though. Â I get the same thing every time, Â :-). I enjoy the Jamaican Grilled Chicken Wings with a side salad (used to be called the breeze salad).
The best part of Bahama Breeze is that one of my favorite servers in Orlando recently moved here - Marisol. Â If you go, be sure to ask for her! Â She's amazing. Â She definitely makes up or the caddy school girls at the hostess stand.
You'll love the food (and drinks) at Bahama Breeze!!
I ordered the Vegetable Cuban Sandwich.  It had portobello mushrooms on it with seasonal veggies and  jack cheese pressed on cuban bread.  It was delicious and I am not a vegetarian. It came with a side dish. I had a fruit salad with Hagen Daz mango sorbet.  I totally enjoyed my meal.  The service was slow, I had to get up to find some silverware, but the server was nice - I had forgotten to take my credit card and he ran outside to find me.
Review Source:My family and I came here when we went to Disney World last week. I had the curry chicken bowl. My son had the ribs and my wife had the jerk chicken. We tend to sample each others plates, 'cause that's just how we do.
The curry chicken bowl was good. The waitress said it was Jamaican style, but I thought it tasted more Indian style. That, and Jamaican style comes with roti, and this was served with naan, but I'm not complaining at all. I was completely satisfied with my meal.
The ribs were pretty standard issue. They were good, but it's what one would come to expect when ordering ribs. Oh, and it is a big giant slab of ribs. My son was more than happy.
The jerk chicken was more like barbecued chicken, so as it was my wife's first foray into Jamaican jerk chicken, I'd say it doesn't quite prepare her for the real thing. She was happy with her meal and she loved the mashed sweet potatoes and green beans it came with.
The atmosphere felt like a Caribbean O'Charleys, with a variety of Caribbean music from reggae to salsa. We had a great time.
Bahama Breeze received a three because the service is a bit slow but very nice and attentive. The cuban sandwich I ordered was alright, nothing compared to the west Tampa Cubans. They do have a great selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages and the atmosphere is fun and tropical!
Review Source:I've been to a few and the music is usually entertaining. I recently went to the Bahama Breeze located in the Lake Buena Vista area. It's close to I-4 and the Orlando Premium Outlets, to say this place is located near the touristy stuff would be an understatement. In general, I try not to be biased and I hadn't been to Bahama Breeze in awhile so I gave it a fair shot. I remember I hadn't been there for about 3 years. I didn't stop going because it was bad, it's just there are so many other establishments out there. The inside of the restaurants has a lot of foliage and all that tropical looking "stuff". It's different and fun.
For a person who hasn't been here in years, the menu really hasn't seem to change much at all. I remember not being that impressed with the place but for a chain, I suppose it's alright. Well, perhaps my newest experience here would change my mind? Â I LOVE anything robust with flavor and the "Habanero Chicken Wings" caught my eye. I asked the server about the heat of them since my friend told me the wings were very weak. Â Luckily, the server was honest and said that it's not that spicy. Â At least, that's one disappointment I missed. Â Why even sell "habanero" anything if it has no kick? Yes, I understand this is a chain restaurant but you don't have to sacrifice flavor to appease the general public! Â Well, I better look for something else. Â Then I saw the "sweet peruvian corn cakes". That actually sounds good!
Sounding and tasting are two different things, my friend. Â The pineapple salsa accompanying this dish was not well-suited at all. Â Also, if the menu item states pineapple, I should taste pineapple rather than wondering if there was any at all in it. Â The corn cakes had bits of corn that were chewy. Â You ever cook corn too long and it gets that firm chewiness? Â Yeah, that's what I got in my corn cakes. Â I tend to be pretty animated in general and I'm sure I had a funny face when eating this. The chewy bits of corn distracted me from eating the corn cakes. Â Well, obviously I'm not a fan of the pineapple salsa. Â Maybe the butter would make my corn cakes taste better? Â Maybe just a little? Â Nope. Â Eh, this appetizer sounded good but I found it to be very "bleh". Â I know that's not a real word but "bleh" is the most fitting in this instance. Â As I'm eating this, I'm thinking how I could make it better. Â Perhaps I shall make my own version of Bahama Breeze Sweet Corn Cakes?
Nothing as far as the entrees intrigued me. Â I honestly didn't feel like eating a lot so a quesadilla sounded ok. Â I selected the "lobster and shrimp quesadilla". Â I just love seafood, provided that it's done right. Â Sounds like I'm picky, doesn't it? Â I'm not, I promise. Â I figure the quesadilla would be enough to fill me but not overfill me to the point of food coma.
So far, it looks good. Â Nice golden color on the tortillas, warm and gooey melted cheese. Â The sour cream? Â I can do without. Â Honestly, I really don't get it. Â It's pretty bland, doesn't really add anything. Â If something is too spicy than it can calm down the flavors but, other than that, I don't see a need for it. Â Growing up, I never ate sour cream. Â I'm sure that has something to do with it. Â I take a bite, it's alright. Â Nothing to write home about. Â Overall, it tastes pretty ok. Â The salsa wasn't that great.
I wouldn't say I had a bad experience at this place, nor would I say I had an amazing time. Â It was... "ok". Â The service was decent although it felt like the server was rushing all the time. Â If you intend on just drinking and listening to music, Bahama Breeze has the atmosphere for it. Â As far as the food goes, don't have any expectations then you should be fine. Â Would I return here again? Â Maybe if my friends wanted to go but I would not go out of my way to eat here.
I had a vicious stiff neck from a day at Disney, so the first thing on my list was a cocktail. I started with the Zombie, but it was unremarkable. Â However, I switched to the Dark and Stormy and it was spectacular. Â Of course, you have to love ginger beer (and I do).
We started with the Cuban bread as an appetizer, and it was just bruschetta salsa on top of halved Cuban bread. Â Not bad, just nothing worth recommending. Â
I had the pulled pork sliders, which were good, as were the fries, but oh yeah, just your standard fare. Â
Our server was very friendly and engaging and paid an appropriate amount of attention to us, which I like, as its nice to have your server available but I don't need him at the table every 5 minutes. Â
Again, this isn't a bad place, and I would go again for casual fare, but there's just not much, save the cocktail, that really stands out.
We were in Orlando this past weekend and some friends invited us to Bahama Breeze. I wasn't expecting much from a chain restaurant such as this. Much to my surprise, I was blown away!
First, our server was wonderful! He was friendly and helpful without being annoying. He even brought out little samples of different things for us to try.
Second, our food and drinks were very good. I had the chicken curry and it truly tasted like West Indian curry to me. I was definitely not expecting that from Bahama Breeze in Orlando! It was the right consistency and flavor. It was so delicious! Also, my husband got a Bahamarita and it was really good!
I felt like the prices were decent and I was really pleased with the ambiance and my overall experience here. Next time were in Orlando, we'll be back here!
I love Bahama Breeze!! I always visit the restaurant when we are in the Orlando area. Â There is one location by the Sawgrass mall and we always stop by when we are in the area too.
I love the feeling i get when i am there! I love the live music and the decor. Â It feels like you are in the Bahamas or something like it!
My favorite is the seafood Paella! it is very good!
The tostones with chicken is also my favorite! it is an appetizer and it is delicious!
Their drinks are great as well. Â There is a passion fruitini that is great! Â
Bathrooms are very clean and the staff were very friendly.
I can't wait to go back!!
A fun outdoor patio with live Caribbean music, tropical drinks and tasty island inspired dishes = a nice Florida evening.
Ok...for you nay-sayers...I know it is a chain restaurant...I know it is very touristy...but in low season, on a week night...it can be a fun evening...I always enjoy live entertainment in open air venues :-)
The jerk shrimp is good, the coconut coated in fresh coconut and flash fried are actually really good with the accompanying citrus mustard dipping sauce. There are also pasta, chicken, beef and pork options.
There is a tasty chocolate mouse desert as well as cheesecake, key lime pie, And then there is bananas supreme...Sliced bananas and vanilla ice cream on warm banana-nut bread, with hot, homemade butterscotch brandy sauce.
The atmosphere is relaxed and fun, the food is good, the service has always been very good. So, sit back relax, enjoy some live music, some tropical drinks, some island fare and a nice Florida evening.
This has to be the best lunch I've ever had at Bahama Breeze! The place had just opened for the day and me and my boyfriend decided to sit at the bar! We ordered the chicken tostones, 4 Jamaican jerk wings, and chicken sliders w/ the seafood chowder soup! The tostones are fried plantains with chicken, cheese, bell peppers, tomatoes, onions, and mushrooms! Soooo yummy!!! It's an appetizer but I had it as my meal! The Jamaican jerk wings were delicious it came with a jerk dipping sauce! The chicken sliders were good but seafood chowder was even better!!!
The restaurant is very big and very clean! The bartender and waiters were alll very friendly and checked multiple times to make sure we didn't need anything else.
I will definitely come back to this Bahama Breeze when I'm back in Orlando!
This is a chain restaurant, so plan accordingly. The space is cavernous and the staff is trained to move people along quickly. Our meals were decent but not spectacular. Drinks were of average size. Total cost for two people, including an appetizer, two salads, two entrees and three drinks was $86. Make your own judgment of whether that's expensive or not.
With two infants accompanying us, so we put a premium on service and attention to detail. By that account, the staff was very good. The hostess was kind enough to store our car seats in a safe location, and the server was attentive to working around the infants while they ate their own dinners. The staff is young, energetic and inexperienced, which is typical of what you find at chain restaurants.
The coconut shrimp appetizer was the highlight: tender and flavorful. The jerk chicken was moist on the inside with light, crispy crust and was quite good. My wife's seafood pasta wasn't as satisfactory. The lobster pieces were chewy and overcooked.
Would I go back? Maybe. But there are plenty of other places to explore in Orlando.
I have been visiting Bahama Breeze for several years now. As chains go, it's really great! I started in Miami and now have visited several in different parts of the US. Unfortunately Bahama Breeze refuses to add Braille menus even though I have spoken to countless managers, sent both emails and letters to corporate, and made a number of calls as well. If anything makes me not like Bahama Breeze, it's that I feel that Bahama Breeze doesn't care enough about it's blind customers to allow them the freedom to read a menu like anyone else.
Besides that, the food is always great! I love the jerk wings but for some strange reason they were out of wings today. So, I got the Paella. Yummy! I will have it again in the future. Just make sure to come hungry and don't eat much of anything else.
A part of the same corporation that owns Olive Garden and Red Lobster, Bahama Breeze tries to represent the Caribbean flavors widely found here in Florida. Â
10 years ago, a friend and I couldn't get enough of their Jamaican jerk chicken wings. Â We ate plates and plates of them. Â Fast forward to this visit, and the wings were...DRY AS HECK!!! Fail!
Pasta, quesadillas, and sliders...oh my! Sounds like every other bar menu? It was.
Pretty much chain food, which is reliable at best, but usually unstimulating. We paid decent prices and left satisfied. Â Service was so so as well. Â
Meh.
**OUTDOOR Â BAR Â REVIEW Â ONLY**
We stopped here for the post-wedding reception after the after party party. Â Didn't eat, but enjoyed the great company of the newly married couple and some new friends. Â We were all huddled around the outdoor firepit sucking some warm drinks and nibbling on some tasty jerked chicken wings as a musician played his steel drums.
The restaurant area inside was large and lively. Â For it being almost midnight, the inside was still pretty hopping and full of people eating, drinking and being merry. Â It was a cool place and close enough to the wedding that most guest walked....errr...stumbled to Bahama Breeze. Â We had fun and hung out for at bit longer until we realized we had to get back to our hotel to make our 6am (but early) flight.
Dagger!!
I added a nice picture of the restroom's stalls which for a restaurant was quite big. Â As I sat there taking a picture of my private stall I wondered, what does a "Bahama Breeze" smell like? Â We'll never know.
Anyway, the outside area was large enough to accommodate all us post-wedding partiers and the firepit was large enough to keep all the cold handed guests nice and warm. Â I'm surprised no one fell into the firepit or set their hair on fire. Â :-)
*******Steel drums are playing in the background while reading this review!!!***********
I AM IN LOVE!!!! Â and yes!!! Â I know it is a chain. Â But there is something to say about this restaurant. Â Darden did a phenomenal job with this delish concept and the atmosphere of this place totally accomodates the theme! Â AND YES!!!....once again...I know this is a chain, and they all have the outdoor seating area with the open pit fire, but it is such a great time!
1st- Comp Valet. Â Always nice!!!
The food is always delish!! Â My favorite entree is the Jerk Chicken Pasta! Â And I will stand by this dish as my FAVORITE MEAL EVER. Â This is the last plate of food that I want to receive before I die! Â Farfalle pasta with chicken, asparagus, and mushrooms covered in a delicious jerk cream sauce. Â Served with a bread stick brushed with jerk seasoning. Â NEED TO TRY THIS IMMIDIATLEY. Â To prove my point...as if I already didn't...everytime I frequent this restaurant with my family...my father will order the J.C.P. (jerk chicken pasta) because it is delish and then tell me to try something new. Â I will say no...and order the J.C.P. Â When it comes to the table...I eat mine and my dad takes a bite of his....just so he can take it home and let me eat it as a leftover!!! Â LOVE HIM....almost as much as the JCP....LOL, J.K. love him more!
I love me some Bahamarita! Â I love the kiwi~ that is inside the drink. Â
I love me some onion rings, coconut shrimp, and the jerk shrimp app.
SO GOOD. Â If you dont' like it...whatahhhhh. More delishness for me!
Love you long time bahamma breeze. Â See you when i need another trip to the islands!
There is a certain amount of irony in the fact that I would call Bahama Breeze the "Olive Garden of Tropical Restaurants" - after all, they're both owned by Darden.
Like other Darden restaurants, you're not going to get highly authentic dishes. At best, you'll get some good imitations. With that in mind, Bahama Breeze does what it sets out to very well.
This location is located right off of I-4 near Downtown Disney. Getting into the restaurant can be a bit of a pain at certain times of the day, as you have to compete with traffic from the nearby outlet mall.
Of the locations in town, this is the one we'll usually go to to meet up with out-of-towners, or after a day at one of the parks. Service here ranges from acceptable to downright outstanding. We've never had an issue with any of the servers here. The restaurant is large, and can get pretty loud. They sometimes have a musician playing steel drums outside on the patio. The lights are a little bit dim in parts of the restaurant, and it can sometimes be difficult to see your menu.
For watered-down versions of favorites like paella or a cuban, they're really not bad. More generic items like the burgers or ribs are seasoned well and cooked properly. Some of the entrees feel a little overpriced (particularly anything with seafood). The drinks aren't especially strong, but they're tasty and not horribly overpriced.
Bahama Breeze isn't a first choice kind of restaurant, but it's a decent one.
When I go on vacation I have a rule: no chain restaurants unless it's a chain we don't have at home in Chicago.
My BFF knows this about me. That's why when we decided to meet up for dinner when my husband and I were in Orlando, she picked this place. She's smart.
We started out with the chowder and it was DELICIOUS. One of the top 5 chowders I've ever had... and I've consumed more than my fair share of chowder. It's topped with fried shrimp... YUM.
My shrimp and grits... good, not awesome. I liked it. The grits weren't as creamy as advertised but still enjoyable. The shrimp were pretty well cooked.
My husband gave me a taste of his smothered tenderloin. Yummy... but anything covered in creamed spinach is awesome.
Our server was kinda scatterbrained and not great. Actually, at times her awkward conversation made me uncomfortable.
Now that I think about it, if the chowder wasn't so good, this place would only get a 3. If you love chowder, gotta try it.
Came for a late drink with a buddy. Ran out of limes? WTH? No Mojitos, no Caipirinhas, no Tanqueray and Tonic without limes! I did order a Margarita, also requiring limes, but got an orange slice instead.
Had their Jamaican Jumbo Chicken wings, which were meh, although the jerk dipping sauce was tasty. ($10.29). It was a lot of wings, though. I would prefer drummettes.
Still a formula restaurant trying to pass as something more for the Disney visitors and tourists.
I have never had a bad experience here. It is a great spot to meet up with a friend or for a fun lunch break. But, overall its just kind of ok.
I know a lot of people love this place, but I still have not been able to find something that I REALLY like here. I did enjoy their cuban sandwich, however, but I do wish that it was a more of a pressed sandwich...rather than piled with stuff on it. They have great chowder.
But, I have never really had a great server here. They tend to kind of forget about you. Only A-Ok from me...
