Barnacles

Average bar food, fine service. I only come here for Team Trivia on Mondays. Obviously, no vegetarian entrees.
I've had the loaded fries (without bacon) and the key lime pie (which was more like a flavorless cheesecake than the tart custard pie I was expecting). Both left me wishing I'd saved my money and hadn't ordered anything at all. This place is fine of you're looking for a bar, not so much for good food.

This not actually a qualified review since I did not enter and partake of anything. But, I did try. Last night about 9 ish I was looking for a quick dinner after a LONG day at work. Barnacles was close to my hotel and had decent Yelp reviews, when I got to the door I was warmly welcomed by 2 hostesses who invited me in and told me there would be a $5 cover charge this was because at 9PM the place became a "nightclub" with a DJ starting at 10. When I explained that I just wanted to sit at the bar (which is located just inside the front door) and grab a quick dinner and was not going to hang around for a "nightclub" experience, I was rather curtly told that while ladies were offered entrance with no cover charge, ALL men paid the cover charge. After they refused to ask a manager if I could be allowed an exception, I made my way elsewhere.

I love coming here on Sundays for wings and sports!  I am a big fan of their wings... I have tried the hot, mild, and lemon pepper -- all cooked and seasoned to perfection.  Throw in a beer and watch one of their many TVs and it's a damn good Sunday!  You have to get here early is you want a seat but I usually just spend $10 to be seated in the VIP section where it's never crowded.  This is my Gwinnett hang out spot.. now you know my secret!
