Based on one visit for a deep dish.
Sooooo sad. I am not the biggest fan of pizza, as I only order it about once a year, but who doesn't love deep dish Chicago style pizza? I just moved from Chicago and even I enjoyed Lou Malnati's style of deep dish. The crust. ooooh the crust. So important.
I was disappointed with the Belemonti's crust for their deep dish. I think it's the same as the thin crust... just... thicker. I don't think it is baked in a cast iron skillet like Chicago style pizzas are supposed to be. I also got their hawaiian, which was ok. Â But perhaps if they crisped the bacon first, or just stuck to ham, i would've enjoyed it more.
Service was friendly, sauce was pretty good. I was just really looking forward to a true Chicago style deep dish.
Next time, I might try the thin crust. We'll see.
