Wedding party rehearsal dinner. We had booked the dining room as a private party. When we arrived there were people seated in our room. We were told there wasn't anything they could do about it since they already sat them. The manager was very rude and didn't try to make things right. He was overheard by our guests bad mouthing our party. The bar service was very slow even though it was open bar. We had to ask for our buffet to be set up and for them to serve our food. Then at the end they over charged me for every item. I would not book a party there again.

$5 martinis, comfy outdoor couches, and good food. Great place for happy hour and they have a pup menu!

First time through Phoenixville, so we decided to check out a local restaurant for lunch on a Saturday.  I was very pleased with this place.  Great menu, excellent food (reuben egg rolls!!!) and their staff are friendly and hard-working.  They have indoor and outdoor seating as well as a bar area.  We were in the dining room by the window and it was very relaxed and not noisey.  Their Cubano sandwich was perfect, but their risotto was tough to get down.  It may just be my taste buds that didn't like the cheese they used though.  I will definitely be back the next time we're in the area and hopefully get to try their wings, which smelled amazing.

When visiting my friend in town, we somehow always end up here.  Downstairs has decent food and a solid tap list.  If you don't see what you like on tap, they have a good bottle list too.

I never thought I would be that into shuffle board, but after a few practice shots, I felt like I could run the table.

They have a good selection of sauces for your wings and you can mix and match if you are feeling crazy.

First visit this past Monday and we showed up @ 5:30pm and the place was dead.  Mondays seem to be slow nights as many restaurants in the area are not open, so I was expecting more of a crowd after 5pm.
Awesome Happy Hour menu w/ 1/2 price off all appetizers and $.40 cent wings to boot.  I enjoyed the Jerk and Hot Habonero varieties.  A little inconsistent in the size of the wings, but they were crisp and just enough heat on the HH to make me want to kick things up a notch next time, as I am heat seeker.  I also had a small salad (fried goat cheese) which was excellent and just enough to fill in the voids around a dozen wings.
My daughter loved the mac and cheese, which was prepared with bowtie pasta.  Tons of white cheddar and some butter too.  Birch beer on draft for my daughter and a very fresh Lagunitas Daytime IPA for dad.  Server (Jenna) was very professional and did not rush us one bit.
I did notice after paying the bill that a sign read "kids eat free on mondays" which caught me off guard, so I did not ask why I was charged for my kids meal.  I did send a note to the restaurant thru their actual website and thru facebook, but no response, which I don't truly appreciate, but I'll just ask the next time I have dinner there, which will be very soon.  **Revision - they emailed back to apologize next day and will refund or whatever....bonus**
Large dining room, with plenty of space for bands, pool, darts, shuffle disc or whatever you call it.
A great spot and if you like a large menu with craft beer, you will be glad you stopped by.

Good service, good food and a decent selection of beers.

We decided on a whim to go out in Phoenixville last weekend, which meant most of our regular spots were already booked up. While browsing the town, we came across Bistro on Bridge, and based off other recent reviews we stopped in.

Overall it was a really good experience. The prices are not cheap but not outrageous either. They had several different types of mixed drinks, a decent sized wine list (with wine pairing suggestions in the menu) and some good seasonal beers.

The food was good. It wasn't the most amazing food I've ever had, but combined with the friendly and competent service it was a great dining experience.

    We'll be back.

My wife and I ate here with our daughter (4) and son (1). We wanted to write a review based mostly on the outstanding service we received. Don't get me wrong, the food was great and food being the reason you go to a restaurant. However, it was the wait staff that really impressed both of us. I had the pecan encrusted chicken with cranberry beurre blanc. My wife had the lobster ravioli and out children had the mac and cheese. Everyone loved their dinner. This place is very kid friendly. Again the wait staff was very accommodating and friendly with our children. They also had an excellent assortment of wings which I didn't get to try but I will definitely be back for them. My wife loved their large assortment of craft beer. Give this place a chance if you haven't been there.

Staff changes made this rather disappointing.  Oh well.

We stopped here for dinner one evening and everything was fantastic.  We had a large sampling of items including raw oysters, caprese, lobster ravioli, crab and shrimp balls.

Of everything we ate everything was fantastic, and I'd recommend all these items on the menu. In addition, the service here was great.

They have seating on the sidewalk at the front of the restaurant allowing the customers to enjoy the open air of Phoenixville and their wonderful "main" street which has come back to life over the past decade.

They have several drink specials and signature martinis, so be sure to try them with your dinner.

This place really surprised me with the bar scene that they have, I realize that there is a dance club upstairs that is a separate entity but this place holds its own in terms of drinks and people, the only negative was the horrendous music they play there, i mean the worst I have ever heard in any nightlife establishment, also they can't messed up my dirty martini by putting way to much olive juice in it. Now normally I would severely penalize an establishment for these two grave offenses, but like I said  the bar scene surprised me because the first time I came here was for dinner. And I really enjoyed myself and the food they served so as a restaurant this place gets 3 stars. They also have a nice selection of craft beers on tap that can be ordered at any time so that's always a positive. If anything I would start off my night here if I was bar hopping and then quickly move to either molly maguire's or pj ryans to enjoy myself a bit more.

Went to Bistro yesterday with some friends and had a good time. The waitress was there that my friend knocked her tray of drinks over. Her name is Jen and she is very  energetic and friendly server, and most importantly consistent. My friend ordered a burger and man did it look good. However, I was only planning on getting krunk and had to practice self control.

The food is good. I had the risotto balls (which are awesome) and the 4 cheese pizza (they add blue cheese and it's super tasty). I was with a party of about 14 and everyone really liked their food. Although I skipped the alcohol, the rest of the party had martinis that they claimed were really, really tasty and strong.

I give this restaurant only 3 stars based on service.  Granted, we had 14 people and they were accommodating  to our shennanigans (bachelorette party)  but the place wasn't crowded and we would have liked faster service. Our drinks took about 15 minutes. Our food (mostly appetizers) took about an hour and a half to arrive. After the food arrived, some additional items came out about 10 mintes after that.  Soup orders came after the meal and so did french fries. We had to ask our waitress, after about an hour of waiting, for bread because we were starving.

Overall, I would eat here again, but I would expect slow service.

The bartenders I found knowledgeable, they suggested, yes both of them, a nice IPA, Loose Cannon...very good.  The layout of the place was kinda strange, walking through tables/game area, to the bar in the back.

We were going across the street to the Steel City Coffee House for a concert, so we need timely service and we got it.

Now, the food.  The Italian Sausage soup was full of oregano.  Who are these chefs who think that oregano adds flavor, it takes over the flavor of the entire soup!  Also, it was extremely salty.  Some of us have hearts who cannot take so much salt.  Next up was the lettuce wraps.  Included in a mixture of tiny chopped pieces of chicken and onions and the like was a weak flavored sauce and, again, tons of salt.  The lettuce was fresh pieces of bib lettuce, too weak to roll without breaking, and not a proper amount to service the dish of crap to put in it.  The cuban egg rolls were average at best, and with more salt.

The bartender kicked a keg, we were sitting in front of the taps, and the beer shot out at my friend and permanently spotted her shirt.  No offer of a free beer in apology.

If this is the best bar in Phoenixville, as mentioned by someone else, I would hate to go to the others.

Stopped here for food and drinks with a buddy recently. I was a little disappointed with the food, but that may be because it was extremely hyped up by a guy at work as "the best food in the world".

I do have to say the cubano egg rolls were pretty dope. I'm a big fan of shoving anything in an egg roll though. About a 1/3 of the muscles pincante were either unopened or broken and there was no discard bowl (wierd?). The prosciutto wrapped shrimp seemed to be a bit on the dry side. Had I made it in time for the half price appetizers, I would have been totally ok with all of this.

The interior is pretty cool. A lot of different areas to sit and chill at. Plenty of standing room. Good specials almost every night of the week. Large bar area with several TVs for sports. Not overly loud. No annoying people. Overall, I really liked it here. I don't think the advertised "$3 Sam Adams pints" are a true pint though. It seems like people toss that word around too much.

Edit: I've been here about 10 times now and have noticed a recurring trend of absolutely horrid music playing very loudly early in the evening. Worst part is I don't see people pumping money into the jukebox so I think it is selected by the staff. Also after trying nearly everything on the menu I'd say this is a very solid 3 stars. If you are just drinking and socializing, it could reach 4.

The bartenders don't know enough about the beers, and the service was only lackluster.  Female bartender was the pits, asked for my order, and ran off before taking it. Food was great, prices average.

Edit on return visit:: The bartenders have actually gotten better, I'm not sure if they have weeded out the bad ones or not.  The bar was packed, so i (we) sat at a table for service, after repeatedly being passed by the servers and not being acknowledged (not even by the manager, which is super disappointing on her behalf) I was ready to put my jacket on to leave when the bartender came out from behind the bar to serve us (def a thumbs up on his part). The food was good and the service is still average, maybe its time for new management?

A while back I wrote my review on Bistro on Bridge.  Since that time they've changed things up........ for the better.  The first time I made a return visit I was pleasantly surprised at the menu which was scaled down and simpler.  In this case simpler is much much better.  After my first return visit I've stopped in a few times with the same pleasant results.......... just good food.

Finally, I went again last week and again my experience is worth bragging about.  Starting off with a pepper encrusted seared tuna (appetizer) that was perfectly pink inside with a perfectly seasoned outside was the best way to start.  The salmon sandwich was next with fresh rolls and a nice large piece of salmon (prepared in an Asian sauce) which doesn't need much to make it a good sandwich.  Again, they kept it simple and it payed off with big dividends.

I'm getting pretty close to saying that they have the best food of all the bars in Phoenixville.  They really do a nice job.

There are too many other good places to go on Bridge Street to waste your time and money on this place.  We went in on a Saturday night for dinner. Our waitress was nice but it was obvious she had way too many tables and seemed very overwhelmed. Drinks took 15 minutes and the "Reisling" I had was awful ($8.50/glass too!).  We ordered appetizers and since the atmosphere was so bad (loud rap music and bright lighting) we decided to stop our order there and get dinner somewhere else. Unfortunately, it took 45 more minutes for the apps to come and another 15 minutes to pay the check (which was VERY high for the bad service and not so great food).  Over an hour later we finally escaped and moved on to a much better dinner at Black Lab Bistro!

Went back to the Bistro and when they say the Best Happy Hour in Town, IT IS! My girlfriend and I had a great spread of Apps and drinks, and it was under 40 dollars. ANd that included the tip!

Some of the best Appetizers I ever had and their new Fall Menu...amazing. I'm looking forward to trying their Snack selection and Lettuce Wraps.

Definitely the place for a date night.

I took my family (3 kids, wife) and my dad her for dinner.  The food was better than the service.  The waiter did not know the food, food took a long time, and the food was just ok.

This place is only good for bar food, if that.  The chicken piccata was decent. I ordered the portobello stuffed with shrimp.  I specifically asked if there were any sweet peppers and she assured me there were not.  Of course there were though, and being im allergic, I could not consume the meal.  They also forgot a salad and only brought it out after we asked.  The service here was absolutely horrible, but the girl was very nice and did bring out club soda when my friend got a stain on his shirt.  Overall I would never come back, as this place was an absolute disappointment.

Went for a weekday dinner. Too hot to sit outside, which would have been fun on a cooler day. Happy hour specials are not served in the main dining room.

Ordered a Smoked Gouda Burger which was a decent sized burger on a soft brioche bun with thick cut applewood bacon. Would have been great if they served it to medium as requested as opposed to the hockey puck that was presented to me. Should have returned it, but was too hungry to wait another 20 min. Fried were good as was the beer selection.

Wife's chicken marsala had no pasta (unless it was offered as a side instead of the salad she got).

The worst was when our food ...ummm...lets say revisited us a few hours later.

Will wait a bit before trying again.

I dis-affirm my love for this place.  We went there last night for 35 cent wing night and $5 martinis  We sat in the bar section.  The place is divided into two (well three if you count the upstairs club) sections:  one sit down place and then a good sized bar area.  The wings were good size for the price and there were quite a few types to choose from, though the original hot buffalo are the best.  I grade the service as much as the food itself.  Our waitress was rude and was mad we were only there for the specials (we did end up spending quite a bit after all the drinks and wings).  I have been here before and the male bartenders are friendly and provide good service.  But this female was just SLOW!  It seriously took 30 min for WINGS to come out and people who got there after us were being served their food.  I would not come here again unless you like rude service and like to waste your life waiting for your food.

Bistro on Bridge is a huge venue, with a semi-formal bistro dining room up front, and a bar, arcade machines, and flatscreens in the rear. Like shuffleboard? They have that, too!

It was strangely empty the Friday we went, but I guess we got lucky. Good service, thanks to Jenny.

Decent lunch. Went for a small Caesar salad and their Mediterranean shrimp appetizer. Not too much flavor, but it didn't cost much. Next time I'll try a burger, and will definitely stop in for happy hour.

Where the former Tyler James Pub used to be. The place has been cleaned up and looks a lot nicer than the previous establishment - not that you would have had to do much to accomplish that as TJP was a bit run down. The bar area has a pretty cool contemporary look with lots of lights and mirrors. The dining area looks even nicer.

Went here with some coworkers at happy hour for some food and drinks. We got a bunch of appetizers to share including Parmesan Chicken bites, buffalo wings and Caprese (tomatoes, mozzarella olive oil, fresh basil and olives) on toast points. During happy hour (5-7) a select group of apps are 1/2 price and the ones we ordered were included. The Parmesan Chicken bites were very tasty but there were only 5 pieces of chicken just barely larger than your thumb on the plate. At $4 for a half price app I couldn't help but think that if I ordered an app this size for $8 with so little on the plate that I would be pissed. The buffalo wings were tasty but they were the weak anemic little wings with barely any meat on them that you usually get at a dive bar instead of the nice plump juicy ones I've come to expect at better establishments. The Caprese on toast points was nice and refreshing. Overall the food was ok but not great and the regular prices are a tad high for the quality and quantity.

Drinks were good for the most part but I do have two minor complaints. First, we ordered a couple of mixed shots and the shots were small and VERY weak especially for $6 a pop. Second issue for me is their wine list prices. I usually opt for a good glass of wine over a beer but their wine by the glass prices are a bit ridiculous compared to most other places. Most glasses of wine here are $8-$10 a pop. Only the low end Gallo type stuff is around $7 a glass. This place isn't fancy enough and the wines weren't high end enough to justify prices like that.

Service from our bartender was good considering the circumstances. It became obvious as the night wore on that she was clearly overwhelmed due to getting very little help from the other male bartender who seemed a bit of a tool.

It's an ok place but I think they're overstretching their bounds a bit for the prices they're charging for food and drink.

Had dinner here last night with friends, and had a very good time. The appetizers were very good, as we ordered 4 different ones to share.

For my meal, I had the chicken picatta and it was ok. But I must say that I'm such a picatta connoisseur, that I'm tough to please on picatta sauce.

When we finished dinner we went up stairs to club 212 where we sat in the vip section. The staff really took care of us in the vip section, and it was definitely noticed by our group.

The only thing missing, was being allowed to smoke cigars in the vip.  The vip has an awesome atmosphere for entertaining AND smoking cigars. Allow us to smoke cigars in the vip..and you get that 5th star 212!

    Would definitely go back.

Before the firebird festival, we decided to have a nice long dinner. The kind that you don't order your appetizers until after you've had a drink, order your entrees after you've eaten your appetizers, probably the way you're supposed to enjoy food.

We started with risotto balls and a side of a pesto dipping sauce. They were excellent. They were fried to give a little color and bite, but the inside was still creamy.

For entrees, I ordered their prosciutto and asparagus angel hair pasta. It was basically like a twist of bacon and peas in carbonara.  I loved it!

Jeff ordered their chicken and chorizo bow tie pasta. It was very unseasoned and the chorizo had no flavor at all. When the waitress noticed  it was barely touched, she said that the lack of seasoning was the number one complaint and that they were redoing their menu.

If it wasn't for this dish, this would have been a four star dinner. Definitely worth trying again.

A nice place.  The music level is good.  A good place for kids.  The menu is light fare.

The bar has a nice selection of drinks including varieties of mojitos (my fav) and margheritas.

I feel the price is very good against the quality of food and the establishment in general.

Replaces Tyler James. Similar layout but they added a sidewalk cafe area. They also have a nightclub on the 2nd Flr. The food is a good selection of apps, sandwiches and entrees. They also have a good selection of beers and mojitos. I have been there a couple of times and have not been disappointed. I have had the BBQ salmon and Crabcake sandwiches and a couple of their apps. They were all very good. The average bill with a couple of drinks came out to be $25-$30. I like the sidewalk cafe area that is nice on sunny days. Definitely a good addition to the downtown Phoenixville area!
