Champps Americana

I ate here twice back in April 2013.  I was looking for places to kill some time while my son was at a hockey clinic in Oaks, PA.  It's a big sports bar with lots of screens.  

I ate at the bar both times.  They have something like 40 beers on tap including plenty of interesting microbrews.  The bartender was busy so not super friendly, but it was no problem getting her attention when I needed her.  Food arrived promptly and was about what you'd expect from a chain restaurant such as this - it was fine, nothing special, but certainly decent.

Not the kind of place my family would like, but if you want to have some beers and watch a game with friends then this place would be good.

We enjoyed our food (fish and chips) and the Blackhawks game!  I asked them to change the channel on the TV we were facing and they changed the 3 TVs in our area to the game! Fantastic!  We came during the week, not too busy and the waitress was nice.  We'll be back. :)

We stopped in here after a movie at the Movie Tavern last Friday for some drinks.  I was really impressed with the number of beers they had on tap, and there were a lot of cocktails on the menu, including skinny options.  The bartending was good and the atmosphere was actually pretty relaxing (although this could be because I was already kind of tipsy from the Movie Tavern). Someone nearby ordered food which looked and smelled good.  Maybe next time I'll stop in for some late night munchies too.
