I came here for Steak Night on a Wednesday night.  I didn't realize that it didn't start until 8pm, so I got to enjoy happy hour, which ended at 7.  On the happy hour menu, I tried out the calamari and the lamb samosas.  I was disappointed with the lamb samosas bc the meat was very dry, but the calamari was good.

On to steak night.  The special was $15 for a strip and two sides of your choice.  The choices the night I went were: fries, country potatoes, wok veggies, and steamed rice.  I ended up getting the fries and wok veggies.  Everything was so good!  I ordered the steak medium rare and it came out perfect!  The wok veggies had been cooked in some kind of soy sauce, so they were a little salty but good, and the fries were, well, fries.  I was pleasantly surprised with the steak night, so I'd recommend that; I'm still undecided if I'd recommend the happy hour, though.

I came here with a group of girls for happy hour and dinner. We started by sharing appetizers, which were delicious. It is a fusion restaurant, so expect tasty surprises. The calamari is decent, but the samaos are great! They are flavorful and a good size per person. Definitely try the tamarind spare ribs. They were perfectly flavored. I had the crispy red snapper and the presentation was excellent. It was tasty too with a bit of heat and nice spices. You can take a peak at the image of the dish in the photos section. Service was excellent and I would definitely return!

I had really low expectations for this place because something about the restaurant-turned-club thing just doesn't sit well with me. I'm thrilled to say that I was thoroughly and pleasantly surprised.

Our meal kicked off with the calamari and the spectacular dipping sauce. Next was the tom yum soup, which really grew on me as I was eating it. The broth was a mixture of spicy-sour, the shrimps were whole and huge, and I liked the soft cherry tomatoes.

Drinks are strong here. I had their specialty, Orient a L'Orange, which was a kicker. Not bad.

I wasn't a fan of my Malaysian noodle entree. That was my fault though, because I was eyeing other choices when our server came around, but panicked under the pressure of five business clients staring at me. So I went with those noodles and regretted it later.

But fear not! The group that I was dining with is notorious for sharing food all over the place, so I got to sample the wok-seared filet mignon, red snapper, and spicy char-grilled beef salad. All of them were amazing in their own respective ways. My favorite was the filet mignon by far - instead of the old "American" seasoning, this dish was saturated in Asian spices and tasted like a fancy version of my grandmomma's rock n' roll beef dish. I swore to myself that I would order that on my next trip.

Speaking of which, I do intend to return to Blu the next time I'm in the mood for a sophisticated, unique dining experience. I love the atmosphere and the detailed service. The amazing open-door view doesn't hurt either.

Oh you know something's up when they need to put a slash in the name. Ladies and gentlemen, meet BLU, Sugar Land's cultural mullet-- business in the front, party in the back. Or, in this case, ceviche for lunch, go-go dancers after dinner.

Brunch? They got it. Lunch? Err'day. Happy Hour? Ask and you shall receive. Dinner? Sure thing. Bar? Center stage. Lounge? Of course. Go go dancers and DJ's? Got it.

Whew! What a plan. And BLU does a pretty good job juggling the duties of their do-all establishment in such a way that I have yet to find glaring error in any of their endeavors. Except maybe the go-go dancer costumes. Fur n' fringe uggs, BLU? Thou hast no shame. Or taste.

Anyway, Happy Hour menu items are $2 off drafts (don't mind if I do) and $4 for a plate (small plate) of calamari, samosas, ceviche, dumplings, shrimp rolls, or spare ribs. The lamb samosas were awesome (think of these as little indian empanadas)--flavorful, tender on the inside, and crunchy on the outside. Do it. Do eat. And if you choose full lunch/dinner service, BLU sometimes plays the game on a giant projector screen for your leisure.

Bar service at night is, well, better than Baker Street (not sure that's saying a whole lot). It's prettier too. There will always be long lines, tiny bathrooms, and crowds through which to squeeze, but since BLU is one of like, three bars, in the Sugar Land Town Square, I wouldn't gripe too much about it. There's little seating, however, as all dinner tables are moved away to make a "dance floor." If you're lucky, you'll have friends like mine who are happy to approach those "reservation only" table signs as mere suggestions.

Went for Happy Hour which lasts until 7pm.  $2 off all draft beers and they have $4 appetizers.  Sampled the fried calamari: good, lamb samosas: didn't care for them a little dried out in the inside and gamey, Saigon eggrolls: excellent the favorite of the spread-has shrimp inside, ceviche: they slice all the shrimp in half and basically serve it whole so the whole ceviche was the equivalent of 2 whole medium shrimps cut in half and some avocado and tomatoes.  Felt like the prices were fine for happy hour but I would have been a little disappointed to spend more and get such small amounts of food.  Service was great though.  Prompt with drinks and service, can't fault that at all.  Drinks were cheap too and ambiance good.  Server Jeff was very friendly and attentive.  Next time want to try different appetizers but would repeat the calamari and Saigon eggrolls.

Came to this place for happy hour. Came to find out, I used to come here a couple of years back when it was called, "Loggia."

Items off the happy hour menu were not bad at all. For 4 dollars an item, my significant and I tried almost everything off the list. All items were pleasantly enjoyable.  $3 for draft beer, now that's a steal!

Service was good and the food came out fast (we were the only table here at the time). Our server, Jeff, provided us with recommendations on food and drinks, all of which was good.

The place has a nice vibe to it with modern furniture, plenty of TVs, and two projectors with large screens. There is also a nice patio if you want to sit outside and enjoy the fresh air.

Will pay another visit for sure when we're in the area!

Decided to give the Blu Jazz brunch a try for an Easter Sunday family brunch.   Decision was a big hit.    Everyone in my group was pleased with their choices, including the children in our party.   Service was friendly and helpful.   The jazz music added a festive touch to the proceedings.   And the Asian themed choices on the menu were a nice option.

One more thing, this place has a dual personality and at night Blu turns into a club/lounge.   My review is only for the restaurant, which was a big hit

I came on a Thursday night with two girl friends. It was my first time here. Walked up to the door where the male host and a female server were standing but they didn't say anything at all. We seated ourselves in the lounge area. No one serviced us so I went to the bar to request service. A waiter finally came to our table and took our orders. Then the manager comes to our table and tells us that we had to move to another table because the restaurant was going to be transformed into a club at 10 PM, and the area we were sitting in would be reserved for bottle service. I was annoyed at this point. The venue itself was decent. The crowd was small. Drinks were weak. DJ should be fired. I liked the house music, but they need to stop playing the rap crap-- this is Sugar Land, not the hood. I wasn't amused by the whores dancing in the videos shown on the tv screens either. Just horrible service and unfriendly staff overall.

So we didn't feel like traveling too far and the wife wanted to go dancing, yelped up some results and found Blu. I can't attest to their validity as a restaurant, only as a bar/dance club. We went on a Saturday night around 10 to see what it was like. It wasn't too bad, it wasn't amazing, it was just sort of so so. There weren't a whole lot of people dancing, the crowd was very mixed and I can see the bartenders getting backed up pretty easily had a few more people shown up. We will probably be back since the options in Sugarland are pretty slim as it is, you can only go to Baker St and battle the crowd of douchery & 30 minute drink waits so many times before you choose to either venture out into downtown or try something new. If you want to go somewhere to dance and don't care about how many other people are dancing, you probably won't mind it too much.

No one there to greet and seat you on a weekday night but a nice working bartender did it... eventually. Food was alright but overpriced for what it is. I was just there to take my out-of-town cousin out for a douchey SLTX drinky-drank time that was not mainly a beer and subpar wine place. Nice bathrooms of course. Yell the rest of your conversation in the nnntz-nnntz-nnntzy blue clubbing lights but it don't mattah as long as you can remember where you parked.

Do come here if this is your scene.

made the mistake of showing up on a Sunday afternoon  ... warning the menu is LIMITED on Sunday ,.  ie  bar food only ...  so I was a but disappointed that what I was wanting after checking out the online menu was not available.  Almost left and went next door to Guru Burger but decided to stay and try the bar menu ... while it was good I just could not get over the disappointment of not getting the full menu. the burger was good and the service was good.    our group was the ONLY group their  so we had the patio to ourselves.

When this place first opened, it was the hot spot but the crowd has seemed to go downhill. I've only been at night for the "lounge" so I cannot attest to how it ranks as a restaurant. The main bar could use a few more bartenders because later in the night it gets really backed up. Also the bathroom lines get long. I've always liked the music selection here (mostly rap and electronic) Very few places in Sugarland offer this selection and even fewer that don't get extremely ghetto. I also like that there is no smoking inside.

If I am looking for a place to go out and dance, Blu is definitely a place to check out if I am in Sugar Land.  If you are looking to socialize, I would make sure you chill outside because it is likely that inside will be crowded.  I haven't been here in a while because most of my friends hang out in Houston, but I enjoy the DJ's song selection.

I know some who have had events here when it was Loggia, but not so sure about what it's like to organize events here now.  I would give them more stars, but it's always so crowded when I go here which causes it to take forever to order drinks.  I always joke with folks that I should order drinks three at a time because it will take me at least two hours to get back up to the bar.

The owners needs to really rethink the purpose of all this lavish excess.

    1. They are trying to invite the older more wealthy clients with the fusion offerings, and gourmet presentation. Well last I checked that crowd dont goto restaurants that looks like harem.

    2. Then it transforms in to a night clubs. Anyone thinks youngster wants to hangout at where their parents may go for brunch?

Food is simpler than the presentation suggests. No reason for the existence of this place in it's current format?

Came here last week for last minute girls night out. We arrived around 12ish & At 12:45 my friend spontaneously ordered a absolut vodka for $150...almost $200 with gratuity. We also got a complimentary bottle of champagne. It was ghetto fabulous in here. For the 2 hr I was there someone threw a stink bomb twice...like really ppl?!? Even the DJ was making comments.

EVERYTIME I tell myself, I feel too old to party, I look up and a cougar is having the time of her life. She's making her night a fun, which I give them props for having fun...

This place had mediocre service from the guy waiters. I felt like they didn't really want to help us out at all. Luckily, my table was served by a waitress. The downside was that she was never really around after we ordered. The bus boy had to change out my water because the other waiters could careless that there was shit in it. Decent brunch food though. Will return for brunch because it is one of the better brunch places in SL.

We went for Sunday brunch.  The food was excellent and fairly inexpensive.  The waitstaff was pleasant and very attentive to our group.  The crowd wasn't that big even though it was Texans-Sunday.  This will probably change if the Texans play well over the next few weeks.  They have at least two dozen TVs around the perimeter of the restaurant plus two large projectors over the bar.  Somehow (thankfully) it still manages to feel more like a restaurant than a sportsbar.  Our server, Maria, was definitely worthy of the 30% tip we left her.

The only complaint was that the cucumber lemonade drink makes you think that it's something neat that you really want to try.  Trust me, you don't.

    They've grown on me...

The 3 Course Lunch is divine...and their weekend brunch is equally as good.

The Samosa's are spicy, but in a complex...wipe the sweat and keep eating kind of way.

I had the Mushroom Omelette and am a big fan

The rocking DJ made the experience hip and fun....

I would give the dining experience 4 Stars for the Food...but only 1 for the service.  The waitstaff was not real organized and we had to ask for coffee repeatedly.

Took over an hour for our food to arrive .... for some of us. Food arrived right away for others. So we ate in shifts - we watched while they ate, then we all talked, then they watched while we ate. Not fun. Waiter wouldn't get the manager. Finally I insisted - and the manager didn't seem to care

We will vote with our feet, but feel compelled to warn others

Coming from out of town, I've heard a lot about Blu from friends raving about the Asian fusion restaurant/club. However, I went on a Sunday to meet up with some old friends who have moved to Houston.

None of us knew Blu also served brunch on Sundays. Didn't see any Asian fusion in the brunch, but the food left me wanting more. We reminisced over a place of poached eggs covered in a tomato basil sauce, smoked salmon coupled with bagel and cream cheese, and your good old egg benedict. The atmosphere was very inviting and the manager personally checked on us.

Also, apparently the restaurant has the highest grossing alcohol sales in the area, learned this from a friend studying into the food industry in Houston.

    Number of people: 2
Must know: This place into a bar/club hangout at night!

I went here for happy hour drinks and some appetizers. I must say I was very happy to find out that the Ace Pear Beer was only $2! I always go to Flying Saucer across the street and I think it is $5-$6 over there for the same thing. Ace Pear is very good for a hot day. In addition the appetizers were great and super tasty. We had some seasoned meatballs, beef, samosas (I didn't try) and pad thai which were all super yum.

Meal: Seated immediately. Everything was super tasty and nothing disappointed me. I even got a free dessert for my first check in here through yelp. I got the chocolate truffles which I must say were amazing! I totally recommend because they just melt in your mouth yum!!

Overall: The food and service were great. I'll definitely visit again.

My wife and I were extending our anniversary celebration from Saturday and wanted to give Blu a try for brunch.  We had seen the strong reviews and heard good things about the food.

We headed to Blu on 7/8 and arrived to partake of their brunch offering slightly before 12pm.  We parked in the garage and walked to Blu.  We saw several full tables out in front of a restaurant.  We assumed it to be Blu.  However, when we approached we found it to be for a small restaurant next to Blu.  The tables for Blu were almost completely empty.  This should have been our first clue...

We looked at the menu, weighed the fact that NO ONE was in the dining area at 12pm; as my wife was craving salmon and cream cheese we went ahead and entered Blu.  We walked in about 5 minutes to 12pm.  There were two other occupied tables in the entire place right before 12pm.  This should have been our second clue.

Our hostess seated us and we waited for a server to take our order.

12pm          No server arrives...  Look at our menus
12:05pm.    No server arrives...   Look at our menus again...
12:10pm     No server arrives...   Wonder why the employee drying                           glasses 4 tables away won't greet us.  Or ANY employee!
12:15pm     No server arrives...   We leave never even having been greeted!!

After trying to flag our hostess, being ignored by the employee cleaning glasses at an adjacent table & the 3+  conducting a conversation at the bar; we got up, walked through the main dining area past the only other two occupied tables, and left Blu.  We watched the employees at the bar watch us leave and not a move was made to inquire why we were leaving.

We walked right next door to Guru Burgers & Crepes. The place was still packed! We were immediately seated and our orders  taken.  Probably one of the 5 best hamburgers I ever eaten and enjoyed wonderful service by Eric!.  But that's for another review.

While next door we tried to find an email form on Blu's website to communicate our displeasure with Blu.  No such luck!  I even called to try to speak to a manager later in the week and could never reach anyone.  No surprise there...

Sorry, I can't comment on the food.  We were never even afforded the opportunity. I get that Blu may focus more on their bar scene.  However, poor service is the death of any company.  Blu will be no exception...

I absolutely love going to Blu for the night life!! Drink prices are reasonable, i have never been there before after hours for their lunch/dinner. My friend has though, stated the food could be better.

The only complaint I  have about Blu is that in this Texas Summer heat, it is wayyyy too hot to be dancing all night long with a shoulder to shoulder crowd, and with all the front doors all wide open with no wind circulation.. I know last summer they would have huge warehouse fans, definitely not a cute look, but it got the job done to keep everyone cooler!!!

but i like the crowd, like the music, so I'll keep dancing the night away there!! =)

This review is based solely on my night club experience.  Bottom line, it's terrible.  The bouncers are jerks.  When you show up with 10+ friends ready to blow north of a thousand on booze, you dont treat them like they are not good enough to get in.  Someone needs to tell the bouncer to learn how to bounce and to pull his head out of his arse.  He behaves like he owns the the place and I am sure the actual owner would not be happy about this.  The ambiance is the same as Loggias, nothing to complain about.  The DJ is decent, music videos are a nice tough.  Drinks are pricey and the service is poor.  Too many "I just turned 21" kids messing it up.  Thumbs down.

Most recently, my hubby and I came for happy hour but ended up staying for dinner.  My two favorite dishes are the Massuman Short Ribs and the Crispy Fish.  (prior review has a detailed description)  The Massuman is similar to a peanut curry.  I always ask for it to be spicy but you can always add chili if it's not hot enough.  I love that the crispy fish comes out filleted AND with the whole bone of the fish (my mom and I love this part).

I think we will become regular brunchers after this past weekend.  We had a large group of 16 (to celebrate Mother's Day).  Service was very attentive.

So the best part was the free mimosa (or bloody mary or screwdriver) with your meal.  The second best part was my crab cake Benedict.  I asked for the hollandaise sauce instead of the salsa and I recommend that change to everyone!  The hollandaise sauce was so nice and buttery.  They had a jazz band playing.  It was a beautiful day so they had their walls open to the outside which gives it a great ambiance.  My in-laws were very impressed with our pick for brunch.

In all, brunch is a steal.  The average plate is $8-$13 and with a free mimosa, I don't think you can get a better deal.  They do half orders for kids, so it's a nice choice for families.

Met up at BLU in Sugar Land's Town Center for a friend's birthday. The rain probably kept business slow so we got to appreciate the space a bit more. The indoor/outdoor space was large and the cooler weather was let in through the giant door/windows. A giant projector screen behind the bar provides sports entertainment as well as lounge background into the night. Happy hour is a good deal with numerous options at a nice $4 price point. We got a ton of selections from the happy hour (HH) menu and a few of the regular (dinner) menu.

(HH) FRIED CALAMARI: roasted tomato-cumin dipping and chipotle chili aioli - light and crispy
(HH) MEATBALLS LOLLIPOP: sweet chili glazed - tender texture, sweet and savory
(HH) LAMB SAMOSA: crispy wrap w/ herb, spices - nice crunch outside, tender lamb
(HH) SHU-MAI SHRIMP: water chestnut, garlic oil, ponzu sauce - good texture, not chewy
(HH) SINGAPORE BEEF SATAY: gourmet peanut sauce - I don't think I tried this, looked fairly typical for satay
(HH) TEQUILA CEVICHE: shrimp-scallop, tomato-avocado relish - fresh and bright, ratio of seafood was low
(HH) EDAMAME CROQUETTES: crispy soy beans, truffle oil - I didn't try this, but heard they were good, truffle was minimal
(HH) GRILLED CALAMARI SKEWER: cucumber-red onion relish - didn't try this either but it looked good
(HH) TAMARIND GLAZED SPARE RIBS: bali style - didn't try, seemed quite enjoyable
(HH) SHRIMP ROMESCO: roasted pepper-almond, crostini - fresh shrimp, good tomato and nut flavor in romesco
(HH) EDAMAME DUMPLING: tapioca wrap, truffle butter - tender, prominent truffle but not overpowering
(HH) SWEET POTATO SAMOSA: chili tamarind sauce - good balance of spices in the filling
(dinner) BLU POMME FRITES TASTING BASKET:crisp fried potatoes featuring parmesan garlic oil & sweet potato - could have been crispier, but good flavors
(dinner) TOM-YUM SOUP: shrimp, mushroom, tomato in hot & sour spicy lemongrass broth - nice tartness and heat
(dinner) TUNA TATAKI: Spice rubbed charred rare tuna, citrus soy and sizzling oil - very fresh, nice touch of heat and citrus
(dessert) BANANA-RUM RAISIN BREAD PUDDING: Vanilla ice cream, caramel & chocolate sauce - I don't like bananas, but I can understand the appeal for others. It was rich, warm, and decadent, with ice cream and a crispy plaintain chip on top

The service was slightly lacking and I'd worry that it might suffer more if there was a busier night. Definitely worth a return trip, especially for HH.

Located where Loggia use to be, this "asian" restaurant is a delight to visit in Town Centre.

I only use quotations where "asian" is because it has dishes from various asian cultures instead of just chinese, indian, or thai.

All of the dishes I had were delicious. Here were the dishes I ordered in one sitting:

Lamb Samosas - crispy outside with lamb inside and an awesome sauce
Sweet Potato Samosa - same as above but with sweet potato inside
Crispy Saigon Rolls - hot, fresh, and very crispy egg roll
Massaman Beef Short Ribs - these short ribs were easily my mom's favorite dish of the night. The meat is seasoned so well and cooked to perfection.
Pad-Thai - this is like any other pad thai which is generally delicious

Also if you check in with yelp you get a free dessert. The dessert that was recommended to me was the chocolate-cappuccino martini. I know all you dudes out there are saying...martini...are you joking? This was actually one of the best dishes of the night. Very very good. I can't even describe it...so just order it.

I'm definitely going to be coming to this restaurant even more to try out the other dishes.

A group of us 30/40-something's went last night for a birthday dinner and some discotecking.

Not sure how long they've been open but I guess they are still using their "soft-opening" menu. There were perhaps 5-10 food types in each category. For appetizers we had vegetarian rolls, lamb samosas, and  croquettes. It was all DELICIOUS to our crew of vegans and non-vegans alike. My husband and I decided to get tapas (small dishes) for dinner. We had the ceviche, lollipops, and shrimp romesco. The dishes were very pleasing in presentation and taste.

My friend brought a dessert cake and the waiters did a great job setting the table and presenting the layered flaky cake on 3 plates. Our dinner experience went quite smoothly considering we were a big group and had multiple checks.

And as the clock struck 10:30, our tables moved and we made our way to the reserved booth. It was also the night of a masquerade party - being the last Saturday before Mardi Gras. We were one of only a few people that brought nice masks to spice up the scene. Quite quickly the place filled with the 20s crowd. Not sure if this was the norm or had it been for the masquerade party or other promotion. It was rocking! Table service was great too. That DJ ROCKED the music! He picked a good selection of songs and remixes. I had even asked him a specific question and you could tell he knew his stuff without being stuffy.

My only complaint this night was the bathroom situation. I'm okay with a little wait, but when the "bathroom bouncer" left the scene - a little chaos broke out. A group of girls were yelling and banging on doors. I can't say they waited long on me since I was in and out, the girls were just being trashy drunks. I know with the regulator there, that wouldn't have happened.

So I'm glad to say I enjoyed my 5-hour dive at BLU from the dinner to the dancing!

Blu has a lush atmosphere, attentive service and above all, the food is outstanding!!  I have eaten there several times and have sampled at least 15 items on the menu and they have all been wonderful.  I highly recommend the 3-course lunch special for $12.  (Similar to Japaniero's...but without the extensive wait time).  Blu is a fantastic addition to Town Center in Sugar Land!!

It's also a fun place to go in the evenings.  My only complaint is that they have "Latin Nights" etc.  Sugar Land is so diverse there is no reason to exclude anyone by having certain designated nights--it only alienates other races/lovers of other music genres.

A friend of mine held her birthday soiree here last weekend. Since Blu is a sophisticated restaurant/bar by day and a sexy lounge by night, this was the perfect place for her to hold dinner AND the after-party!

    * AREA & AMBIANCE: Located in Sugarland's Town Center strip, Blu takes up the space where Loggia used to be and they've kept the few things that Loggia actually did right: the sports bar feel, projector TVs, etc. The place looks pretty classy; I liked the chandeliers, the deep blue color scheme, and the neon, lit-up yellow bars. In addition to two alcohol bars, there are tables scattered throughout the restaurant. Then, at around 10-10:30pm, this place completely transforms into a lounge: the tables are cleared out, the bars light up, projector TVs showcase music videos, music starts blaring, go-go dancers take to the bar ends, and the restaurant's front walls are moved out of the way to open up into the patio.

    * FOOD & DRINKS: Blu offers an extensive menu of drinks, from beers to wines, martinis to cocktails. During dinner, I ordered a Cosmo Cocktail and a glass of Whitehaven (~$8-10 each), then shots for the rest of night. For food, I tried the Fried Calamari, Shumai Shrimp, and the Tuna Tataki. I thought everything was just "A-OK;" the price-to-portion ratio was off, but then again, it always seems to be in places like this. Unfortunately, the Tuna Tataki left me with a bit of food poisoning the day after, so thinking about it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Or maybe it just didn't sit well with all the alcohol brewing in my stomach?

    * SERVICE: Our table's waitress was extremely helpful and friendly. Although she was busy with quite a number of other tables, she did her best to check in with us and make sure we were all doing okay. I asked her to recommend a couple of drinks for me and she was great at finding something I'd enjoy. She also didn't mind doing split-checks, which I know can be a HUGE pain in the ass sometimes!

    * LOUNGE: I have nothing bad to say in this department. The music (mostly modern day dance hits) was great, the drinks kept coming, and aside from the occasional lone wolf trying to get into our circle, there wasn't any extreme invasions of space. From what I saw, the crowd seemed predominantly young (late 20s-late 30s), with the cougars and manthers mainly prowling around the bar areas. My friends and I had a great time!

Contemporary decor, great food, and friendly service.  I was visiting
some friends in the suburbs and we decided to check it out.  The
weather was nice, so they opened up the walls to the outside patio
area.  We stayed in but closeby to catch the fresh air.

As Carmen G. wrote, the drinks were quite stiff, so I didn't mind that
it was $8.  We shared an appetizer plate and loved the sweet potato
samosa.  The chicken satay was good with the peanut sauce.  The Kaya
Beef was great.  It's oven dried, but still moist on the inside and
very tender.  We also shared the basket of fries.  They were gourmet
by description but what really makes it is how crispy they are.  No
    one wants a limp fry.

I ordered the rack of lamb.  WONDERFUL!!  I would order that again in
a heartbeat.  When I'm in town again, we'll definitely come back for
    Latin Night.

Did not eat there and I doubt the food is outstanding. My friend was celebrating his birthday so he picked the venue. This place just doesn't fit in Sugar Land, it is a "club scene". Some people were dressed in short dresses and heels and some girls were in sweatpants. The dancers on the bar were barely wearing anything and the place is so small. They opened up the doors which wasn't helping on a cold night. At 10:00 they move the tables and ALL chairs. My friends were sitting at the bar and they took their chairs away. The big screen TV's now show the music videos for what the DJ is playing instead of sporting events which makes sense but who needs to see that in a "club". The congo guy playing at the same time the music is playing just doesn't make sense. You can't hear him but at least he gets a chair!

I was very excited to see Loggia under new management and elated that the new owners gave this place an extreme make-over.    They have managed to do a fantastic job of turning this former sports bar into an all inclusive night life experience.

Atmosphere:  They switched out the cold all white "modern" decor and replaced with tones of blue (of course), black and canary yellow. Giving off a warm and inviting vibe and appropriately fitting for a lounge.   Yes the furnishings look much more upscale and comfortable.  They kept the super large flat screens and several smaller ones around and a full service bar, so sports fans are undoubtly still welcome.  No more, "VIP" room in the back, it is now the home for the DJ.

Drinks:  Stiff and reasonable ($6-8).  They are still doing their soft opening so EVERYTHING on the menu is 25% off!  I opted for a Raspberry Vodka on the rocks and the bartender was not skimpy on the liquor.

Food:  Well, I only had the Chicken Nachos and they were tasty.  It's loaded with cheese, guacamole, pico de gallo, black beans and jalapenos.  Most of the other items on the menu are Asian Fusion.

Music:  After 10:00 they transition the dining area into an open dance floor.  There is a live DJ spinning a mixture of hits mostly top 40 and hip/hop.

Overall:  I'm looking forward to spending many days at Blu in future.
