I ate at Boston for the first time in years. I am very disappointed in the food quality, it is flat out nasty. At first I ordered the calamari it had a very bad fishy taste to it. Then I order the nacho which came on a cold plate, my chef always says hot plate hot food, if I get hot food I would like my plate to be hot when I get hot food. But I was in good company at a birthday party had fun but will not be returning. Working in the industry and eating at places I will just eat at home. Sad face I don't think your worth one star I will never return
Review Source:Inedible every time. I give most restaurants a three strikes and you're out chance, I shouldn't have bothered after the first time here. The worst was the night I ordered a drink from the bar. I sent back three different drinks, all disgusting. Who uses mint syrup in a mojito?! It was like drinking toothpaste. No other restaurant, not even Applebee's, has earned such absolute disgust from me.
Review Source:Crappy food in a well decored restaurant. I've gotten the nachos and the shrimp pasta. I questioned the realness of the chips, they didn't taste like chips, which was odd. The pasta was flavorless and bland. Twice was two much. One good thing for beer drinkers is the 22 oz mug you can order, but I guess you could go to TGIFridays and at least the food there is marginally better.

Dear Mr. Pacinda,
I'm writing you this letter to bring to your attention of an incident I experienced at your Boston's The Gourmet Pizza Restaurant in Anchorage, AK.
On the evening of Easter Sunday, April 8th, 2012, a friend and I decided to take a short walk and stop by the restaurant to have a dessert. Since you restaurant is located a few blocks from my residence, we walk our dog and stop by your restaurant for a meal or have a drink.
This day, I tied my dog who is a registered therapy dog, to a pole that was over 15 feet away from the front entrance. He was quiet and not bothering anyone.
My friend and I went to the sports bar, ordered a dessert. Our food arrived and as we proceeded to enjoy our meal, the food server came up to our table and asked if the dog outside was ours. I said "yes" and she said" Well, I'll get you a to-go box, you have to leave". To my shock, we were getting thrown out of the restaurant and she expected us to pay for the food!
I was so upset that I went to get my dog and as I was retrieving him, he was chomping of a wicked-looking splintered chicken bone that was tossed onto the front of your restaurant's property. I was so panicked for my dog's safety of swallowing this bone that I reached into his mouth to pull the bone out and prevent him from swallowing it. At that moment, he bit down with his full force onto my hand. I ran home bleeding profusely and in extreme pain.
I'm conveying this to you and not to the shift manager in the restaurant because I prefer to go from the top down. I know you are a busy man and a unpleasant incident in one of your restaurants is for location managers to deal with. However I feel its important for you to know of situations like this.
At issue, is the way this staff member handled this situation. If there was a policy that I need to be aware of, she needed to convey that. She was not nice or polite. She could of handled this much better than she did. She left an indelible mark on my attitude of you establishments. In addition, she didn't know who I was. I could of been related to a prominent resident in this town, I may know powerful people or I could be someone who would do evil. She didn't think out her actions toward us and it wasn't professional.
In relief, I am fine, no permanent injury or infection. The physical health hazard could have been and issue for legal action but I'm not interested in anything like that. To be honest, I will never step foot into any of your establishments again nor will I refer your restaurants as a choice to eat. In addition, your food is not of good quality.
I do ask only one item in resolution. I would like to request a refund for my purchase from this awful evening in your restaurant. A small price to pay for a terrible experience.
respectfully,
Carol M.
had late dinner 12/30
mac & meatballs was really bad.
bacon wrapped steak appetizers were really really bad. the "steak" tasted like it had gone bad a few days before.
most of the food was still on our plates when we asked for the bill. the waiter asked if we needed a to-go box. he was surprised when we said no.
we will not be going back.
Boston's is a chain sports bar/restaurant located in Midtown on C St. between Northern Lights and Benson.
Only reason I go here is due to it's convenience to my work location. Â
I never see it very busy inside, but it's never been empty. Â For a place that calls itself a sports bar, it's has suprisingly few televisions. Â It does have free wi-fi though, which is a big plus for me and probably why I gave Boston's a third star.
The food is okay. Â Nothing fancy, a touch overpriced. Â Everything I've ever gotten there has at least been freshly made.
I'll probably be back, just because of the easy location, but I don't go out of my way to come here on a date night with the husband or out with friends...
Been back to bostons again. Simple menu, good pizza. It's got a nice little sports bar and  the service has been good both times I went. A lot of times at places when I go in as a single guy, service is  horrible (to many single guys tip badly? Bills to low? but I haven't had that problem either time.
Nothing amazingly special, but pretty good just the same.
Rare that I rate a pizza shoppe a dull two-star but Boston's deserves it I'm afraid. Maybe it's because I've been jaded by the quality of the Moose's Tooth Pizza (which is, by and large, epic) but this poor calzone that I ordered was disappointing.
At first glance the place seems like a little more open TGI Fridays - plenty of sports fanfare and plenty of sports on the tubes. The menu's weren't totally worn out and featured that I considered a decent selection of items to cover everyone's bases.
I tapped on the 'Flyin' Buffalo' Calzone which was recommended to me by an top shelf server: Eric. The thing comes out and it looks like it was just tossed on the plate without a care in the world. The whole thing contained strips of what could have been boiled chicken breast, very runny 'hot' sauce and a little too much of fontina, provolone and mozzarella cheese(s).
Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy my dairy like most, but this was just a haphazard accident of a dish that I don't care to order again.
Food is meh. Service is sometimes pretty good, and sometimes unbelievably shitty, like when we went there yesterday.
First, let me say the restaurant was pretty empty. Â It was mid afternoon, almost no one was there, and there were plenty of employees. Â So the first thing that went wrong was when the server took our drink order, and it took 10 minutes to bring out a soda. I mean honestly, ten minutes? Â With like five tables total in that restaurant? Pretty absurd. Then, before we had ordered drinks, my brother (who got there before us) had ordered an appetizer that took literally a half hour to get there. I mean, it was chicken wings. Â What takes a half hour for chicken wings is beyond me, unless they had to pluck them themselves.
Other than that, well. It was all right, I guess. You know, it's a chain, you kind of know what to expect from a mid-level chain restaurant when it comes to food. Passable but nothing remarkable. Â It's where you go when there's nothing really good around and you want to go somewhere close.
Boston's used to have Thai Chicken Pizza, which was AMAZING. My favorite pizza of all time.
And then they discontinued it.
Why? Only God knows, but I haven't been back since.
The waiters were always RIGHT there, refilling your drinks without a moment's notice. It's like...they were actually paying attention... Whoa.
The food and service here isn't that great. Everything tastes a little on the plain side. The last time we came here we also ended up waiting an hour for our food. Once we got it, it wasn't really that good. Service was ok.
The deserts here are really good though so I would only come back to take friends out for their desert menu.
I don't think Boston's food is that great, the servers are nice enough, but typically my drink runs dry.
Once they brought me an alcoholic drink made with out of date milk, that wasn't too awesome, but they quickly came out with a new drink.
However, I will definitely go back, after 9 pm all of their appetizers are $5 with the exception of their combo app which is $10, so that's a good deal even if the food is just so/so it still beats a fast food place.
