The most delicious chocolate in town. A little pricey but worth it - you truly get what you pay for. My favorite is the Mayan sipping chocolate with a little whipped cream on top. The vegan Thai-style truffle is also amazing. Staff is super friendly to boot. My once a month treat, wish it could be more often but if it were, I wouldn't fit through the front door....
Review Source:There's a scale of chocolatiers....downhome favorites that keep it simple (like Alaska Wild Berry down the street), and more 'art-noveau' creations that stretch the imagination. Â Modern Dwellers falls closer to the latter. Â The presentation is beautiful, there is usually a topping that reflects the ganache or filling (ie orange peel, nuts, barley, salt). Â However, I am not a dark chocolate kind of gal, and the great majority of their truffles are dark. Â It's too rich and bitter for me. Â I've realized I enjoy truffled creams more than inventive ganaches. Â I've also tried their white chocolate citrus bar because it was on sale in another shop, and let's just say, I understand why it was on sale. Â The flavors in general just don't come together; they are too powerful in their own right and do not complement each other. Â Fran's chocolates in Seattle is better.
