Great place to have a few beers and something to eat with friends.
Good fried calamari, seemed clams and shrimp and scallops.
    FUN place to go.

I love the fried extravaganza at this place especially the beer battered halibut. Service is ok but I have to say Carlos is kind of a prick. He could be a lot more personable and liven things up but he chooses to be this behind the counter expressionless troll.

I've eaten at F Street Station each of my trips to Anchorage.  The food here is the best.  They have the regular bar-and-grill food with an Alaska spin including fresh seafood offerings.  I recently had grilled halibut.  It was grilled to perfection with sear marks and a little seasoning, not over or underdone, flaked perfectly to the fork and then to my palette.   Someone sitting by the grill told me that the fish was fresh caught and the fillets were cut straight from the fish to the grill.  It had a nice cucumber salad on the side.  I always get whatever local seafood entree they offer and have never been disappointed.

F Street Station is a really relaxed place, it gets busy and its a small place, but it doesn't get too loud.  Regardless of the wait the food and atmosphere is definitely worth the wait.  The staff is really nice and I love the mason jars that they serve drinks in.

Seems like a combination of locals, out-of-town business and tourists frequent, so lots of opportunity to meet people and have interesting conversation.  Great location down town.
