Felt assaulted by supervisor Jen, hassling me out. Don't sell something to someone and force them to leave immediately.

Would have gladly left without the sale.

    Atmosphere - A
    Food - B
    Bartenders - C for cranky
    Sat. Drink Specials - F (non-existent)

I choose  BW-3 across the street, better food, great specials, and genuine staff

Every one of the customers is either friends with or thinks they're friends with the female bartenders.  I don't think that's a good excuse for not giving me napkins or even cracking a smile.  I've come in multiple occasions and my service should have gotten better, not worse.

It helps if you live in a neighborhood where you have 5 or 6 consonants in a row within your last name, if you catch my drift.  Food here has always been passable at best and overpriced, I would usually get the chicken bites since they are under $10.  Beer is relatively cheap on tap.

I think I'll take a very long break from this place, where the women are so skinny and shapeless they make the chicks at Tilted Kilt look like J-Lo.

Good bar food, but a little too pricey for the menu offerings. Semi-slow service. Couch seating is a bit awkward.

Outstanding! Food was so good I could barely walk myself to the car. From appetizers to main course to dessert, everything was top notch. And who can complain about sitting on couches for dinner with an TV practically in our booth? Highly recommended. Looking forward to our next visit. The people my wife and I went with were top notch too.

I went here with a party of 8 on a Saturday night.  We waited a few minutes for our table to get ready and I'm surprised there wasn't a long wait.  I've been here before and my experiences haven't always been that great but this time, I think the service itself made up for anything that could've been bad. Alex was our server and our party was a little indecisive and some people weren't even eating (which I didn't know of until after we sat down) but he was nice and accommodating. All the food was pretty good from what they said and I decided on a BLT because I wasn't too hungry but it was perfect!
It was also my brother's birthday and I asked Alex for some sort of cake with a candle. He did come back to tell me they didn't have any more candles but he improvised with a toothpick which I thought was hilarious but very nice and accommodating as well.
I think I would go back mostly because of our server since I had a friend that went there the same night and her experience wasn't as great.

Decent place. They had a few great specials and the food was good. They weren't very busy either of the times I was here, but it was still a great atmosphere.

I had a burger and my friend had the flavored meatballs. We shared a tower of beer that was pretty cool. Probably going to become out late night spot in the area, because it beats the hell out of B-dubs.

It was the first time we'd been there. It was posh yet cozy with indoor and outdoor fire pits, sexy art, great beer list (they even offer beer bong sizes) and a great menu. I had a very hard time deciding what to get, and now I think I'll have even a harder time because I liked the Kobe Brick Pizza so much.  My husband had the Steak Frites special with Goose Island's Green Line. Customer service was on point. A friendly host opened door for us on the way in and out, and our waiter Calyn was very helpful and even asked if I wanted a water to go because I had just finished my 2nd glass when we received the check.  My husband and I go out to dinner a lot, but this place definitely made it feel like a date.  Just an added bonus. Very impressed.  We will be back!

Had an awesome experience here tonight! Good burger, amazing service, friendly staff, and they had the Blackhawks game audio.  Tara (hope I remembered that correctly!) was a FANTASTIC server.  Our drinks were never empty thanks to her! She even brought us styrofoam cups to leave with, and held the door open for us all on the way out. Best service I've had in quite some time!  Well done, Tara and Brick House!

Brickhouse is awesome. Great beer selection..great cocktail and mixed beer suggestions....try the zombie if you want to get a quick buzz on! The food is impressive for a bar/grill...drunken pork chops are amazing...all the burgers are good. I like the bbq bacon burger....all the appetizers are pretty good and there are a lot of out of the ordinary creative options on the menu. Most of the staff are cool as hell and really nice..some are just waiting to punch out..but no reason to not go here. The couches are sweet and the outside/patio/fire pit area is great on a warm night. Great place to go watch a game or fight..and a great place to take the girlfriend/wife/family for a meal. If you havent tried it your missin out!

I love it here! I stop by at least once a month. The food is great and service is good. I recommend the Chicken parm sandwich and if you like sweets and chocolate, you have to ask for a dark chocolate double D cupcake. its not on the menu! its amazing.

We popped in here for a bite and a beverage before a movie.

After sitting down at the bar, and looking around the room, we had high hopes for this place. TV's positioned throughout, comfortable seating and a staff that appeared to be attentive.

If I were coming here just for beverages, that would be one thing (a good thing), but they have a lot of nerve calling that a "bowl" of chili and even more nerve claiming that it's good (overpowering cumin and soupy - not good). Speaking of nerve, we ordered the Grinder sandwich with our two "bowls" of chili, $11.50 for a lightly topped (except for the half-pound of lettuce) cold cut sub sandwich?? they should be ashamed. We would have been better off across the street at Jersey Mike's.

The Sam Adams was cold and served in a frosted glass, hence two stars.

Probably good if you're just coming here to drink. But if you're coming here to eat nooo good. Everything was mediocre and bland. The Kobe beef did not taste like authentic Kobe beef. Tasted like a regular ol Burger. Also, do not get the calamari. The portion was the smallest ever, and it was very rubbery, n the breading wasn't even crispy. No bueno . . .

Before i came here i always heard That the burgers are what a lot of people come for.. Naturally, i tried it and they are right. The burgers are very good.. They are served in rectangular size, not the typical round burgers, (think of a brick), and the bread is like a toasted french bread, notice i said "like", im not 100% on the type of the bread exactly, but when i tasted it thats what i thought of.. my peers and i enjoy the mushroom burgers...and even their regular burgers..when u come here definitely try one! And dont forget u can always customize it if u want to switch up the ingredients..it wasnt a problem at all..the meat was good and wasnt greasy. I noticed they also have veggie burgers, but I haven't tried those yet. I wasn't a fan of the salad because Personally, I like My salads GREEN..Romaine lettuce as opposed to Iceberg.. My coworker is a regular there and doesn't care about that part, she ordered a chicken salad which i tasted and aside from the lettuce, her salad was very good..

Our waitress Rita was awesome...she was very professional and friendly...i have been here just a few times, but she will definitely be a favorite of mine! she recommended the pork chops and my guest said he loved it.. The marinade was flavorful and gave the chops a nice color and taste. A little bit of kick to it, but not overbearing... Also, if u plan to get the pork chops take it easy on the appetizers because the pork chops were huge lol you might end up with leftovers... Or u might like it so much u won't have leftovers..

Finally, I gave this place a good review because I also like the atmosphere. Being on the far northside sometimes u don't feel like circling for parking for 30min OR traveling too far out just to find a chill spot.. Here, they have plenty of free parking in the lots, nice sofas, plenty of flat screens to watch the game or whatever u want, (simply tell the hostess or server u want a certain channel, especially if there isn't anyone near u, and they'll do it for u), outdoor seating, a full bar on the other side of the room, and daily drink specials.... It's a good place to go for lunch or after work..

I wanted to like this place as it was next to the bank I have to go to for my niece.  I was so disappointed and I want my $30.00 back from the meal. I ordered the prime rib sandwich with garlic mashed. My dining partnered ordered fish and chips. My food was so bland not enough salt could give it flavor. It was boring, uneventful and just bad. It was basically roast beef covered in melted cheese and served on a plate with this odd tasting pepper au ju sauce.  The fish and chips were greasy and flavorless. The mashed potatoes tasted instant. Save your money and eat at Chipotle across the street.

We've gone there 2 times now and have to say the food is "excellent".
The first time I went with my gf, the one drink we ordered didn't get to the table until AFTER the food because the waitress "forgot it". I ordered the Monday special - "prosciutto wrapped meatloaf ground chuck, veal, and Italian sausage wrapped in prosciutto, topped with sweet chili ketchup, served with mushroom gravy & cheddar mashed potatoes" and got fries instead. When I mentioned this to the waitress she apologized for "hitting the wrong button" and then took everything back and brought it out correctly.  Gf got the fish and chips - both plates were delicious and my first experience with Fireball whiskey here was great.

2nd time, with a 3rd person on a Wednesday - My burger was excellent (and cooked correctly unlike most places). Fish and chips were over burnt on the outside but still delicious and hot tartar sauce? Chicken wings were dry : (

So 5 stars for atmosphere and my food, they lost a star for the service and food prep.
Waitresses are cute (which was their primary hiring decision I'm sure) and the fireplaces keep it warm, but you can smell the gas from them if you're anywhere near them.

Oh! and there was a backgammon tournament or something going on that Wednesday which was a pretty cool touch for local entertainment.

Was ready to give this place 4 or 5 stars until I got the Ammonia Fish and Chips.  That's right, the fish smelled like ammonia when I bit into it.  This is a clear sign that the fish is old and almost rotting.

Drinks are great and it's a cool place to watch a game.  I love the Barbeque Bacon Burger.

I guess if you avoid the fish, this is very much a 4 to 5 star place.

Seriously... I walked in this place and fell in love.  I went Saturday for lunch...awesome!

5 stars for atmosphere!  It looks like a man's heaven.  Yes, I'm a girl, but I love sports and big, comfy couches also!  So... you walk in to a huge fire place, talk about warm welcome!  Then we had an option for a booth, table, or couches!  The couches act as a booth so its still as easy to eat at.  We picked the couches WITH a TV next to it!  The bar area looked awesome too with great TV's and another social couch area where people can sit around one big TV.  Seriously - major points for warm, inviting, fun, and just really awesome atmosphere!

Food - huge and creative menu option!   My boyfriend was super happy with all the options.  My one complaint is they didn't have too much I really wanted even with a large menu.  It is a lot of fried apps, burgers, and sandwiches.  I don't want to hurt them for that but none of the salads stood out to me so I was just left feeling like I didn't want to try any of it.  I think its because it was lunch and most options seem like dinner items but either way - I wasn't stoked about all the fried food.

Major point again - the NICEST hostess I have ever come in contact with - seriously.  She was genuine and SO SO sweet.  I wanted her to be our server.  It was so great to be welcomed like that, it made me think more places need to concentrate on that.

Last thing - our server, Gina, was weird as anything.  Couldn't chat, hardly smiled and when she did it just felt fake and awkward, couldn't help me with opinions on a few items I asked for.  I would tell her to shape up or get out - she was the only negative thing about the experience, really.

Great job, Brick!!  We will be back, probably quite often!

I've been here multiple times and I love how the place is set up especially the fireplace outside! The food is great and they always have some kind of drink specials. I am giving them 3stars because the service is not the greatest! The last time I was here, my food order was wrong and the server was no where to be found. I ask another server for help but they were clueless. The other time that I was here, we ordered VODKA ON THE ROCKS and received something totally different.

This is only the second time I've been to this location and I have nothing but positive reviews. We walked in and were greeted immediately by the hostess who held the door open. We were then greeted by the other hostess. She asked us how many and told us it would be a short wait. We went in at 8:00 on a Friday and it was just 2 of us. We waited about 10-15 minutes and were seated.

We were greeted by our server, who spoke very quietly but was friendly. She took our drink orders and we ordered as soon as she came back. The food arrived hot and in a timely manner. The waitress came back to check on us a few times to see if we needed anything. I had the chicken parmigana sandwich which was delicious. It states in the menu that the sauce is spicy which is true. I am not a fan of spicy foods but found this to be enjoyable. My boyfriend and I each had a 22 oz beer, no dessert or appetizers, and we our bill was $32..not bad! Overall, we had another great experience and look forward to going back in the future!

Fun place. We've been here 3 or 4 times. The atmosphere is really cool; I love the couches, wifi, and beer bongs.

It's more on the expensive side but the food can be worth it. The burgers are always good and the Sunday ribeye special is great! The Friday fish cake special, however... My boyfriend had it tonight. Small portion and burned on one side :(

    Overall a good place.

Brickhouse is one of my favorite local bars  because of its chill, cozy, low-key atmosphere. The space is comfortable for groups. They offer couches, tables, booths, bar seats and outdoor seating. I absolutely love the fireplace/fire pits. Also, there are TVs throughout the bar, so it is a good place to go to watch sports.

On Sundays and Mondays they have drink specials like $2 domestic drafts. For awhile they had Woodchuck Pear Cider on draft, which was my fave. I think it's changed since then, but they have a fairly large selection of draft beers. My favorite right now is the Angry Orchard cider. You also have the option of a 16oz, 22oz, 1/2 bong, or beer bong sizes. Beer bongs are reasonably priced if you are splitting with a group of friends ($19-$29 depending on what kind you get).

I only give it a 4 because the food here is okay. It's typical bar food, nothing special to rave about...sandwiches, burgers, pizza. There's a variety. Parking is decent. It's usually not too hard to find a spot. When there is a game on though the lot can be packed and you may end up parking by the Fresh Farms.

We were on the way to Fear City and decided to stop by Brickhouse for a quick bite. The interior is very sleek with dark wood designs and fireplaces. Lights were dim and the environment was very cozy despite being a sporty tavern. The wait for a Friday evening was approximately 15 minutes. While we waited, we happily seated ourselves by the bar for a few drinks.

When our table finally arrived, we ordered fish and chips, white meat chicken bites with fries, drunken pork meatballs, and crab cakes. I tried all of the above except for the fish and chips. The chicken bites are basically large chunks of popcorn chicken but a bit lacking in flavor. The complimentary parmesan, honey, and barbecue sauces were a definite necessity. The fries were served in a small, flat pan. A very flippin' mischievous and creative idea! The crab cakes were a bit too creamy for me but it was served in a generous amount. The meatballs were very tender and well-marinated. The name is a misnomer though. I was anticipating that drunkening effect!

Side note: The waiters and servers at Brickhouse have very slippery hands. Bartenders were dropping glasses and waiters were dropping bottles of ranch dressing. Very much like a war zone! Mines all over the place! In fact, one of the bottles fell and exploded right before our table. Ranch dressing was splattered across our table onto the wall behind us as well as contaminating our hair, clothes, and coats. They expressed a simple but sincere apology. A very nice gesture indeed, but I think a small discount to our bill would have been more courteous and acceptable.

The folks I work with wanted to try the Brick house tavern. Upon arriving I thought the design, layout  and decor were stunning. The Bar at this time of year is open air with the two outside walls having  window walls that open to the outside. The Restaurant has a nice homy feeling with some of the tables arranged with couches,They also have flat screen TV every where, showing diffident channels on multiple screen,

I ordered the Prime rib dinner with Potato and Corn on the Cobb. The streak was moist and tender and the corn was moist and juicy for roasted in the husk and cooked on the grill. I would recommended this place for a nice time with your friends

The food is decent, but, in my opinion, overpriced. I could definitely do without the scantily clad waitresses.

I do, however, enjoy sitting on a couch at a table. I'll give 'em points for that minor stroke of genius. It's nice to enjoy a beer with friends while sitting on couches.

Strictly from a food standpoint, this place is no good. I stopped by with some friends for a late night meal and all four of us thought the food was pretty blah. Between the chicken fried steak, steak and shrooms, chicken wings, and philly cheese steak, the only decent option was the chicken wings. Not good.

It seemed like an ok place to sit outside and have a few beers, but the food is substandard and the service was kinda crappy. Yes, we understand the you're closing in an hour. We'll be out by then. Very obvious they wanted us gone. I'll probably not go back and opt for late night mexican or white castle the next time I'm out with friends and hungry.

    Two Words: "Magic Brownie"

The Magic Brownie on the dessert menu is delicious! If you like brownies you'll love the Brick House Magic Brownie! The brownie is topped with walnuts, chocolate syrup, and a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream!

I really like the spiked calamari there... it a calamari that is lightly battered with cherry peppers & spicy marinara.

The food was not bad - had Steak and Eggs and the steak was cooked exactly as I wanted, Split a Wedge salad with Blue Cheese dressing (without all the other crap) was ok - but no crumbled Bleu Cheese like I prefer. It's an industrial type design  with concrete floors and exposed duckwork - sort of a theme place, nothing out of the ordinary, a more modern version of a Texas Longhorn type steakhouse.

I liked their assotment of Beers and beer bongs (Love Bell's Amber and Oberon) Waitress was excellent.

The Pizza (flat bread) sucked - the flavor could have been ok, but it was COLD - not room temp, just cold. A pizza that comes out of the oven should be HOT.

The worst part of this place was the Air conditioning. It was so cold it was like a meat market and the unit NEVER stopped blowing. We moved once, but that didn't make a difference because no matter where you moved, there was a 360 diffuser overhead that covered every inch of floor space. I could not wait to finish eating just to get outside and thaw out. I was not the only once who felt this way etiher. When I told the waitress how much I liked the place, but was starting to turn BLUE from the cold air, she said what all servers say - "but WE ARE SO HOT."

A reminder to the servers and restaurant owners who love it ice cold in their establishments - WE ARE THE CUSTOMERS.  Had it been a reasonable temp inside, I would have given 3 stars....oh well.

Stopped by on an early Friday afternoon. Was amazed by the beer bongs and the seeming large amount of beer and wine choices. My wife and I opted for their burgers, which were interesting to say the least. They're shaped in an elongated way, so you can split it into two?

Regardless, we had a great time on the outside seating area and while there isn't much to look at (Walmart to the north and Touhy Ave to the south) it's fun to be in the ambiance of fellow drinkers.

This place was pretty cool...but also very strange.  They have a couple leather chairs in the corner with private TV's so you can feel like you're at home...however I don't have 20 drunk idiots yelling in my living room, so they should probably get rid of the chairs.

Right when you walk in you are punched in the face by the smell of BBQ, wait, PERFECT BBQ.  Too bad I was only there for drinks or I would've dragged one of those leather chairs right into the kitchen, chained myself to one of the cooks and tell them I wasn't leaving til my stomach exploded from pulled pork.

The beer is dispensed from really cool taps above the bartenders heads.  Also, Kansas beat Ohio State in the national semifinal game when I was there so that's why it gets five stars.  GO HOOSIERS!

This afternoon myself and 2 friends had Lunch at
    Brickhouse Tavern..
I am giving this a 3 star review because honestly
thats the best I can do..

    The positives are as follows..
One of the coolest places I've been to yet..
A most comfortable, casual place to kick back and relax..
    Booths and Tables are available..
However, my friends and I chose to sit on very comfortable couches
one on each side of our table.
    Very Comfy Indeed!
The menu selections were excellent.. not your typical menu
    by far.

Appetizers such as deviled eggs, and really good chicken tenders..
A varied selection of entrees to choose from..
My friend and I both ordered Chicken Fried Steak which we both
    agreed was fantastic..
Cheddar Mashed Potatoes accompanied our meal..
My other friend ordered the healthy salmon option and she
    said she loved it!

    Okay.. on to the Negative..
I will admit our Server/Waitress Irritated me Big Time..
Just not much help when asked questions regarding the menu..
However, she did come and ask if we were ready for dessert
and we were not even halfway done with our meal..
And, I'm sure she saw the look of disgust on my face but..
    I could'nt help myself!
    So.. to wrap this up..
My friends and I loved the food and ambiance..
I did not love our waitress..
I would probably return  for the food only..
Not for the service or lack of..
God.. I'm Crabby today but.. this is my honest review..
One thing I am is honest..
Brickhouse Thank You for a Great Meal..
    But not much else...

I don't have the issue some others have.  When I was there my fiance did notice how chesty the girls were, but they were all in long pants, so it didn't feel like Hooters.

The food I thought was decent, but I'd tell calorie-conscious folk not to go.  Everything there is meant to be comfort food and more "interesting" takes on typical bar food.  The beer and drink selection was great though.

Other than that, my only other "eh" point was this place feels less like a bar and more like a restaurant.  I don't think I'd just go there alone or with a buddy to drink, watch the game, and socialize.  Everything seems more "closed" around people coming to eat, drink, and stay in their own little cliques.

I did like the outdoor area with the fire pit.  I don't know if I'd come to this place regularly over some of the more local spots that don't feel as "corporate", but it's not a terrible place.

This was not my first time here and I definitely regret coming back time and time again. I always feel like they try to imitate tapas style and high scale burger joints but are not very successful with it.

I was also there with my friends during a busy time [or at least busy for all other restaurants] and felt like the place was getting ready to close.

They have a lousy and horrible staff as well. I mean between white trash trying to get tips by sitting with tables and implanted siliconed girls with too much self esteem, they need some dominating males to boost their sales seeing as most of the clientele are females [observed from the numerous times I've been there - against my will may I add].

Should I even start talking about the cheaply made food? If I start this place might go out of business! I'm just so very disappointed every time I go there, the food has no taste and never comes out steaming hot.

The only reason I gave it two stars is because the hostess always seems nice and friendly. But overall I wouldn't recommend it nor would I bother much with it unless it is to my benefit, i.e. checking into Yelp... etc.

Ok, it IS true you have to get a good waitress here in order for your experience to rock, but I've gotten lucky as both times I have been here I've had a good waitress. If you are able to make a request ask for Alex. She was sweet, fun, and excellent at her job.

The first time I went I had a burger. It's definitely a lot of burger so save your appetite or be prepared to take some home. It was a really good burger tho and unique in it's wide rectangular patty shape.

The second time I went here I got the grilled Mahi Mahi sandwich and O......M...... G. I split it with a friend cuz we just wanted a "snack" right? We ended up getting another one to split cuz we loved it so much. The side of broccoli was perfectly cooked, nice an flavorful, slightly buttered and salted. So tasty! I think this will be my go-to entree from now on at this joint.

My friend ordered a Milwaukee Margarita which is a margarita made with beer. Doesn't sound good but it really is! I HATE beer and I really liked this when I tried hers. I could see it pairing very nicely with the mahi mahi sandwich too.

Be prepared for chicks in daisy dukes, and possibly some bare midriffs. If Hooters isn't your style just based on the atmosphere then pass this place up. But IMO if that's your only reason for not going, then I say you're missing out. :-)

It's like a variation on Hooters, but I like the food here.  My first visit was a result of a Yelp suburban event a while back, and it definitely showed the place off!  Sliders - 2 thumbs up!  Cheesy nachos - 2 thumbs up!  Cupcakes made from original recipes - 2 thumbs up!

Can you really go wrong with a place that gives you the choice of 6 or 7 potato-y sides, in the form of mashed potatoes or garlic parm tater tots or skin-on fries, etc (the list goes on)?  That night, a french martini + kobe beef burger on brioche bun + garlic parm tater tots = one full Tricia L.

It's not as bustling as the Yardhouse, which we liked because we felt like we weren't rushed out.  We'll be back!

It makes me sad to write this review. I was originally introduced to Brick House as Jelena hosted a great Chicago 'Burbs event here -- the service was great, the food was delicious, and they sent me home with one of the best chocolate cupcakes I've ever had. Clearly, someone in charge wanted to create a positive impression and bring in more business.

It worked...at first. Our first visit post-event was really pleasant. I sat in a comfy booth and ate some do-it-yourself sloppy joes on white bread! Then came Mother's Day... in an attempt to avoid crowds (who takes mom to a breastaurant?) and eat an awesome cupcake for dessert, we came here only to be met with such atrocious service. Our server was not in a good mood at all, made fun of me for ordering a virgin Bloody Mary (rude!) and then disappeared for 25 minutes after dropping off my drink. When she came to take our orders, we asked for the check and left.

The restaurant was not busy, though our server did seem to be taking care of 2 sections (one outside, one inside). I understand that people get busy - I've had plenty of busy servers before. The difference? They understand that they're making you wait and it is not okay and make a clear effort to get you food as quick as they can and apologize. We did not receive an apology, or even some acknowledgement that the service was not up to standard. So we left, hungry and disappointed and will not be returning.

So sad. I really did like that chocolate cupcake (it gets its own star!)
