I've been here a few times and enjoy it. I was talking to the bartender and as it turns out they are going to completely renovate the whole restaurant beginning in April. I was lucky enough to try the chicken pot pie that was created by the new chef and it was all fresh and made in-house. I will be back again but probably won't get a chance before they close the renovations.
I'm only giving it 4 stars because of how much it's going to improve and I will write  new review when it's up and running.
Went here for lunch recently and I'd say this is a solid three stars with a chance to move to four if future visits yield consistent results.
I love the look of the place. I've never been to Ireland but I've been to England and Scotland and this pub reminds me of pubs I saw there. Cozy, lots of dark wood, Plenty of bar stools, even a few random people getting drunk at noon on a Tuesday.
We started with potato skins. They were made with fresh potatoes, real bacon with real cheese melted on top. I'd have preferred more bacon bits but still a string effort. Not the frozen crap with wiz that you often see.
Next up was a corned beef special. It was pretty good. The corned beef was well made. The coleslaw wasn't great but overall it was a good sandwich. Â The burgers and sandwiches come with what appear to be homemade chips. But for $1 more you can get well made fries. Then you can drown them in malt vinegar. Always a great touch. Â They feature coke not Pepsi which is great.
I'll go back for lunch sometime soon. Maybe a Friday when I am have a couple pints.
Nothing is better than going to this place on St. Patty's Day. Â Bands all day into the evening. Â No one afraid to let their Irish out! Â
Food here always delivers, Sheppards Pie is AWESOME and the beer is always a-flowing.
It's a dark Irish Pub. Â The staff is frazzeled when times are busy, but always smiling and ready to serve. Make sure you book early if you want to go on March 17th, though!
I've been there a few times...even though I live in Texas my cousin plays in an Irish band that performs there several times a month. Â I've had good experiences each time I've been. Â Food has been great, and of course the music is wonderful as well. Â The wait staff was nice, though I'm unsure about the bar tenders.
Review Source:Brittingham's is a good place to drink. It's an Irish pub, for goodness sake!
Daily, from 5 PM to 7 PM it's happy hour. ($4 Guinness? Not too shabby.) There's live music (at times), and they've got a stage (all the time). They have plenty of seating plus a bar worth its weight in booze, so bring friends.
As for brunch, they're a decent spot. Besides the bar area, they have a homey dining room, naturally lit, with tablecloths to keep it real. You've got standard brunch offerings, plus regionally-flavored ones. If you're thirsty, they've got mimosas. If you're of a mind to grab lunch, try their corned beef special sandwich ($6.75), served cold with a side of oh-so-crunchy homemade potato chips. Not sure what makes it special exactly, but it's a sound meal with lots of meat; you won't leave hungry.

Review Source:Another great watering hole located in "downtown" Lafayette Hill. Â
This place, just like some other bars/restaurants in the area, is a historic landmark.  Built in 1743, it was used in the Revolutionary War as a resting place for troops.  During the Civil War it  was part of the Underground Railroad..very cool.  So with all of this history taking place inside the walls it could only mean one thing- ghost stories abound!!!  Just a little history lesson for ya.....now onto the review:
Brittingham's  has three areas: the dining room, the bar, and the party room.  The dining room has a "grandmother's dining room" feel to it.  This section of the restaurant seems particularly jumping on Sunday afternoon when brunch is being served.  The party room opens up into the main bar area and usually holds the various musicians that provide entertainment on the weekends and selected week day nights.  The epicenter of Brittingham's is the spacious bar  that encompasses most of the  main room.  It is very inviting and makes you feel very comfortable once you have pulled up a chair.  Tables and booths fill in the rest of the room making it feel like a cozy nook, without sitting on top of the people around you.
The food ranges from Irish specialties, to standard bar food, to pastas, sandwiches, salads and soups. Â I am a huge fan of the Irish potato soup, corned beef sandwich, and the classic BLT. Â
My husband and I walked here in the midst of those crazy snowstorms this past winter, they were open and ready to fill us with good food and drink!
A great place to go for a cold beer, hot soup, and good company.
Brittingham's is nice local bar for us. Â We'll head down there occasionally for quizzo or other events that they have going on. Â Overall the pub food they serve is good and inexpensive and the beers on tap are good (although without much variety). Â Service has always been good and the inside is nice looking and clean. Â If you want a nice clean local place to grab a beer this is never a bad choice.
Review Source:So this was one of my first expeditions to the 'burbs and I'm happy to report that it was a successful one. Â Went for a benefit that included open bar and stayed for the best U2 cover band I've ever seen (aptly named 2U). Â
The place gets 2 stars but 2U automatically adds two more given how good they were and how hard they rocked the place. Â I didn't know the 'burbs had it in them to be fun but I guess I was proved wrong.
Brittingham's (like the General Lafayette, one minute from my house) is a nice place to catch up for a drink on a low-key night. The beer selection is decent - in addition to having your standard fare on top, they also have an OK bottle selection with some creative picks.
The food is pretty good too. The menu is extensive, with food ranging from Irish specialties (corned beef and cabbage, shepherd's pie, etc.) through pastas and a cold sandwich/deli section. My only criticism is that it feels like they stop serving food kind of early sometimes - especially on Sundays.
The staff is always very nice and they always remember my wife and me when we stop in to visit. Pete the bartender is pretty cool.
On occasion, we even order take out from Brittingham's, which is always quick and good.
Would definitely recommend stopping by Brittingham's.
Adorable and accommodating! Â I attended a benefit held here, and the event was great. Â Brittingham's provided just the right venue for 100+ people enjoying food, drinks, music, and a raffle drawing on a sunday evening.
The tickets for the benefit included food including apps, salad, roast beef sandwiches and dessert, miller lite and yuengling. Â I can't speak for the quality of the food since I didn't eat any, but the beers were good and the bartender was very friendly. Â Later they had a decent cover band. Â I liked the space itself - felt very cozy without being cramped. Â Felt like just the right kind of place for a snowy winter night.
On top of it all, Brittingham's was nice enough to allow the organizers to host the benefit there... apparently they had asked around some places (in a town that starts with an M and ends in a Yunk) and were denied. Â But the Britt came through.
You shouldn't leave the Philadelphia area before visiting this amazing Irish pub in the heart of the Philly suburbs. On the Friday night we went it was packed with the most age-diverse group of people I've ever seen in one social place, all rocking out to a U2 cover band called "2U." Classic.
