Brulé Bistro

Excellent all the way!!

Brule is just more fun than ever.  Last night we sat at the bar - Randy the master bartender is just wonderful, efficient, knows his stuff and takes good care of his clients!  Had great drinks, met lots of new people in the mood to party and a wonderful dinner on top of it.  I had delicious salmon and my friend had the grouper.  Both were outstanding.  Everyone was milling and having a ball - it was like a private house party.  The week Brule was closed they made major changes inside and it's even warmer and more cozy than ever.  Truly my home away from home.

When I've had a few drinks, I expect food to be divine, not mediocre. Maybe the service had an impact on my experience.

The Service (2 star):
I came to Brulé Bistro after the Delray Beach Beerfest. I was hungry, and ready for good food. At 10:30pm, we sat outside on a rainy night. The place had some tables, but not enough for our server to greet us after 10 minutes of being seated. After taking our order, she took another 10 minutes to serve three beers; she took another 10 minutes to source a random assortment of soaking wet glasses, which looked more like wine glasses. Each person in our party of six ordered an appetizer. Mine was completely forgotten and came out 15 minutes after everyone else finished eating.

The Food (3 1/2 star):
I ordered the "mac" which came out pipping hot, and would be rated a 4 star for its crispy crust and decadent cheese sauce. It had a decent amount of shrimp in it, too. For my entree, I ordered the burger, which came with a really tasty sauce, which was great at covering up the standard burger that tasted like it lacked meat and had more filler than anything. The portababello on top was the best part.

Overall, the food was just a-ok; I would suggest revamping the service.
