Mixed opinion about this place. The first time I went there I was there with a group for over 4 hours. So incredibly slow with terrible service. The last time I went there I had such great service. My waiters name was Dre and he was AWESOME! Such a blast, so much fun, super fast and attentive, just like a restaurant should be. Wish that was how it was my first time! But definitely not the worst place in the world.
Review Source:Honestly, this place deserves a -1 star. Â And if you look at my review history, that says a lot - over 2/3 of my reviews are 4 or 5 stars. Â Here are some points which make this place pure dog poop.
1- They seem to think they are running a nightclub where it looks cool to have a continuously full doorway area. Â Tonight I counted three four-person tables sit empty for over twenty minutes while the waiting area was packed. Â The hostesses/waitresses seemed more interested in chatting with each other than flipping tables. Â
2- Their kitchen is ALWAYS behind. Â Don't believe the "we are really busy tonight" line. Â They are just poorly run.
3- Their announcements are really annoying. Â They continuously interrupt games with their microphone announcements. Â Do I want to reserve a seat at your restaurant for the superbowl? Â Heck no!! Â Not when you are so annoying!!
I could go on, but it's not worth my time. Â Basically, this place seems popular no matter what reviewers say... they only way we can hope for a change (because I would like a good wings place nearby) is to STOP GOING HERE. Â So please,
DO
NOT
GO
HERE
Been here a couple times and it's okay. Â I understand why people would give it bad reviews. Â If they could improve order wait times it would vastly improve service. Â Maybe more servers? Â Whatever it is it can be pretty frustrating. Â I like their wings although they seem to be skimpy on the sauce side. Â I wasn't aware that if you want what I consider a normal coating of sauce on your wings, you have to request that they make them wet. Â Still, I'd be back. Â Especially because their outdoor seating is nice in the summer.
Review Source:Wow, this place is super slow. This is my first time trying B.w.w and the service stinks. 9 bucks for 6 wings and fries, without a drink, I think that's a bit much. At wing stop I usually get 10 wings fries and a drink for 10 bucks. Nice atmosphere, wings were ok, a bit pricey, plenty of ladies prancing around, but I don't think I'll be going back. Wing Stop I'm sorry for cheating on you!
Review Source:Quite possibly the worst BWW on the planet. Â The only thing normal about this BWW is the food. Â Service here is less than a joke because either the server doesn't know how to enter your food into the computer or is to busy conversing with a friend. Â I called a order in thinking that would be better but was put on hold 3 times because the server could not figure out the computer and I finally hung up after the 3rd time. Â Drive to any other BWW in the area.
Review Source:It is your standard BWW however it was kind of weird seeing their employees acting like it was their hangout (while on the clock). Employees had other employees that were off that day, hanging out with them...slowing down the even slower service there. The ones that were off were loud and rude (swearing up a storm). Was not a great experience at all.
Review Source:i have gone to so many bww. this is the worst one when it comes to service. also, the consistency of the wings is way off--sometimes soaking in sauce and other times almost dry. finally, the worst thing about this location (go to elmhurst or lombard instead) is that they won't play the ufc fights anymore---aren't you suppose to be a "sportsbar"? this is the most popular sport right now !!! i am sure the other bww that do play the ufc fights and have better food make a killing on those saturdays while your patronage will be dwindling. i will have to find a real "sportsbar" in my neighborhood. thanks a lot ;(
Review Source:I've never dined in but I do notice that it's busy most of the time, so expect a wait during dinner time, either on weeknights or weekends.
I usually get carryout and I call ahead. I've never had a problem with that service.
The food is good. I've always liked the wing sauces from BWW, especially the Wild and Blazin'.
My only issue is that they never provide enough sauce on the wings. I always have to ask them spin the wings in more sauce. The food does taste good and I haven't had any other problems with their food so far.
It's funny because someone warned me their wings were terrible because they don't give you any sauce. So I was like OH I'll just get them extra wet and they'll be plenty of sauce. BUT NO!!! There was no hot sauce on my extra saucy preferred wings. EFF this place and the people who work there. Most people who work in berwyn are lazy morons anyways. Look at any store on yelp located in berwyn to see their reviews. NEVER GO THERE. They dont even deserve one star.
Review Source:BWW, are you are a sports bar catering to the 21-35 crowd or a more of a family restaurant like Chili's? I couldn't quite figure it out, as I sat there surrounded by tables full of families with their out-of-control kids screaming (too much habenero sauce, perhaps?) and running around like they're at a Chuck E. Cheese. I can't quite figure out what their target market really is, but it was pretty well pcked at 5:30pm on a Saturday. Based on the way the female servers were dressed, I wouldn't exactly call it an ideal family restaurant.
-Service: Bare minimum interaction from our server. She was a terrible sales person as she literally came out and said "you don't want to hear about our beer specials tonight, right?" She also missed offering two standard "up-sells" in the restaurant biz: "can I start you off with some appetizers?" and "any dessert for you tonight?" I guess she hasn't quite figured out that larger bills=more tips. Unlike the experiences other yelpers have reported with slow orders, I was actually miffed a little that we had about five minutes between when our appetizer arrived and the entrees. It was a not-so-subtle message to "eat your damned food NOW, pay your tab and get the hell out so we can give the table to some folks who will have 4-5 drinks a piece."
-Food: Eh, not bad, but not something I'd have to rush back and have over & over. No real complaints from me, but my friend was another story. I assume I could've asked for some of their dry seasoning to liven up the fries a little; they are the natural-cut variety but otherwise pretty bland & non-descript. I would suggest having the seasoning shakers at each table, but tethered to the table somehow so they don't grow a pair of legs and walk out of the restaurant. For the record, our appetizer was chili con queso with tortilla chips; my entree was a grilled chicken breast with a honey BBQ sauce, some bacon and some cheddar cheese; my friend's entree was a bacon cheeseburger that she said was quite overcooked. They do warn you on the menu about that, and our waitress said they will not cook them any other way for "liability issues." Yeah, right, it would mean that the short order cook in the back would have to actually pay attention to detail!
-The restaurant: Rather an illogical layout. There's a decent-sized private lot in back, but noooo entry way nearby at all, despite it being built in 2011. The noise level was pretty bad, with no help from the gazillion kids bored out of their mind since they couldn't sit still for 45 minutes in a row. Lots of flat-screens on all the walls, and they all had something different on, which was distracting.
Overall Grade: C-. I may try the one out in Lombard and not on a weekend, but this Berwyn location is a bit too crazy to go back to any time soon. Too bad, because I liked the menu on their website, but it just ain't the right joint for me.
This location is the pits! Â We sat at our table for 20 minutes, our drink order was never taken. Â In fact, no one ever stopped by our table to greet us. Â I'd understand if the place was extremely busy, however it wasn't at all. Â There were plenty of empty tables. Â We ended up walking out. Â I've been to other locations and the service was never this horrible. Â Skip it!!!
Review Source:I'm kind of partial to this restaurant chain since it brings me back to some outstandingly happy days in college. Â We would go out on Tuesday nights and bring back hundreds of the things to share around our dorm. Â They were super-spicy, crispy, and very cheap $.15 per wing. Â Well I guess that dates me.
This particular restaurant was WAY overcrowded. Â It was a Tuesday night and so wings were on sale and it was packed. Â I found a spot at the bar and enjoyed my food, beer, and conversation with the bartender. Â Hockey was playing on TV that night. Â Very nice evening.
First time I came here was for take out...hmmm word of advice....order before lol....took a while for our order...but the wait was worth it...second time was for dine in..and so far no complaints...yummy wings =) mango habanero are sooo yummy but very hot....my favorite ones are the medium wings....will come back
Review Source:This is my first review and I feel forced to write it. This "B Dubs" was awful.
I called in my order at 12:33 and was told that my simple order of 18 boneless wings would be ready in 5 to 10 minutes. I hurry in and I pay by 12:41. Within a few minutes the employee said that my order would be ready in "one minute". I sent my boyfriend to get the car. He then waited apporximately 8 minutes while i had to ASK where my order was and then wait additionally while they got it and had to bring me my correct side order.. i finally walked out at 12:58 after oberving several things....
1) the hostess turned down several customers before it was closing time, or at least made a few walk ins feel very uncomforabe about staying.
2) the conversations between employees was not appropriate for their enviorment. this included the manager.
3) the girl behind the counter huffed when she had to go to the back to get more silverware.
Ive been a sever before and I understand the late night stress, but i found my whole experience to be very unproffesional. I was already unhappy and then I got home with my food. Its hard to screw up a bbq sauce, so the wings tasted just fine but when I have to pay for ranch dressing and the conatiner is only half filled - i have an issue. The last straw was a count of 15 wings instead of 18. So to say the least, I will NEVER be returning and will make the drive out to willowbrook every time im craving some delicious B- Dubs WITHOUT the hassle of rude employees or mistaken orders.
There's no point to reading a review about Buffalo Wild Wings as a bar and grill. You know what the hell it is. They have chicken and beer.
If you're reading this, it's probably because you want to know about how it compares to other Buffalo Wild Wing restaurants around the city; as in, how good is this place when it comes to customer service. So my review is going to be based on that.
I called them ahead of time and asked them if they were able to show soccer games on ESPN 3's Spanish channel. They told me that they would be able to show all soccer games no matter what. So I headed there since it's a much quicker drive for me than The Globe or SmallBar. I got there about ten minutes before the game started and one of the employees, who I'm pretty sure wasn't even on the clock, saw me in my Barcelona jersey and said that he didn't think they'd be able to show that game because it was being broadcast on the internet. But he went over to the main TV controls and spent ten minutes trying every possible channel to find it.
I ordered a beer ($6.30, a bit steep for Berwyn, which is why I'm giving it 4/5 stars) thinking it was only fair of me to buy SOMETHING from them seeing as they're making an effort to try and find a game for me. He apologetically told me that he wasn't able to get it, and I said that was fine. I'd finish my beer, drive home, go online and maybe catch a bit of the first half.
Halfway through my beer, one of the managers asked me if they were able to find the game for me. I told her no, but that it wasn't a problem. Then she tried searching each channel trying to find it and even made a phone call to, presumably, one of the other managers asking how the hell she could find this mysterious channel.
Unfortunately they didn't have it, but I still got to watch most of the game. But this just shows you how they view customer service. It's not like there were several dozen people coming in to watch that game. It was one guy. They stopped what they were doing and did all this work for one guy. A guy who they knew was probably just going to order a few beers and run up a $15 tab.
They didn't have to go through all that trouble, but they did. And that was very cool of them.
I'm  a big fan of BWW, but not this one. Food was bad, bad bad, and the Juicy Burger I ordered was dry dry dry; I believe the staff is still very inexperienced and unprofessional; too many hormones are very active in this joint. Just bring my food and be nice!
It also seems this space is too small for the number of people who go there; I felt claustrophobic.
Also, why are there policemen standing around in this joint? Really???
I have to say, this is far the most busiest B.W.W, I ever encounter. The staff as friendly as they were , was all probably pick from a pedophile, looking to score with young girls. The food wasn't saucy enough to spark interest of an return. The floor manager didnt seem to make him/her self known , and the kitchen seems like they had one worker back there....I hate to say it, but I rather go to Fire-House and order hot wings next time, and get a bottle of their special blazing sauce..and I have BWW at home for half the cost....Maybe in the future it will get better, but I give three stars for coming this close to the city.
P.Sa party of Seven took almost hour and a half...plan head.
After reading all the bad reviews we came here anyway to watch UFC141- It wasn't all that bad. The waiters gotta deal with a helluva lot of people etc. Its busy as they can possibly be. Our Waiter did a great job- he was friendly attentive and extra helpful so maybe we just got a good waiter i dunno.
Overall not a bad place to catch a fight if  you don't wanna pay a cover at a bar.
I don't think I would go back to watch another card Id rather pay $5-$10 somewhere else and not have all the people bustling around but overall the experience was decent. Its not a candlelight dinner /steak house downtown Chicago its a BWW in Berwyn so Id say its exactly what it is supposed to be.
THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE! - improving - but still pretty horrible.
I went the week of its open - I love wings - and this place was a hit and miss. Bdubs usually make me happy inside but as I was walking into here I knew it was going to be bad - the door has a sign at the bottom left corner that says "GUNS ARE NOT PERMITTED INTO THIS AREA". REALLY!? You need to clarify that for people? So, turns out that the waitresses are ghetto - one had graphics on the side of her head with a mohawk pony tail thing (looked totally jacked up LOL) - and well, they weren't the regular girls you see at a Bdubs.
I think to franchise a Bdubs to close to the city isn't a smart more for the company, they should keep it in the close suburbs (IM FROM THE CITY AND IM SAYING THIS). I love getting the FULL BDUBS experience and this place does not offer it.
It made me sad to see what they are doing to the name.
ROUND TWO: Went again, things are improving - not as many ghetto waitresses - BUT DAMN ARE THE PEOPLE WHO GO THERE GHETTO. A group of what seemed to be college student who acted like 5 year olds were in the center tables yelling and waving their hands in the air. All their yelling was making my son cry and it clearly bother two other families who were their that night. I understand you go to a restaurant/sports bar to have fun but do you really need to be that ANNOYING?! I wish the staff would of said something because one could see it in their face that they were frustrated having them there.
PLEASE TO THE MANAGEMENT, DO NOT LET THE GOOD NAME OF DBUDs BE SPOILED BY GHETTONESS!
I've grown up in Pilsen so I'm ghetto myself, but damn know when to act right!
I work in the restaurant business so I understand certain things that other people probably wouldn't. I'm very lenient and understanding...but this place? Completely unacceptable. Absolutely terrible. I called in ahead of time and ordered takeout. I come in to pick up my food, and I sign the receipt the guy at the cash register printed. There's a spot to leave a tip, but who am I tipping?? No one served me! So I leave it blank. Right in front of my eyes I see the cashier write in $4 on the receipt, take the money out of the drawer, put it in his pocket and walk away. I am disgusted at this point and demand to speak to a manager. I understand it's $4, but it's $4 i did not give. That's stealing and forgery. NEVER EAT HERE.
Review Source:this place i gave half a star, why?
1.the wings take over 40 mins to come.
2,the wings are dry and tasteless because they hardly put sauce on them!
<a href="/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2F3.it&s=407cead072d145626c953e37b0dfb64d83778ff6e9ca11394695e872ababefa0" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://3.it</a> takes a waitress to come 15 mins after i get seated.
4.managers hang out with the staff more than they tell them what to do.
5.the waitress are all high school kids, that dont know how to make your stay enjoyable, all they look like is they lookin for dudes to ****.
i seriously recommend to just go to another bww's cuz this one is not doing too well right now.
Yeah, no, it ain't worth it. The service sucks because the staff is too busy checking their make up in the mirror or trying to make eye contact with the cute customer that just walked in. They need to get more involved in the needs of the customer rather than standing around thinking they're cool.
I saw a glimpse of the manager's interactions with staff and it seemed like he was more their buddy than their boss. That is not the recipe for good business. Something needs to change, pronto.
Also, this place is newly built. Why does it look like a dump when you walk in? Everything is dull and even the staff's uniform shirts look like they've been washed a thousand times.
Review I want to write: Â Â Â Â Â Â People all got their undies in a bundle because it was crowded opening week. Â What a buncha weeenies. Â "WAAH WAAH we had to wait. Â Life is SO HARD!"
Review I have to write: Â Â Â Â Â Sadly, after two visits, I have to say that many of the negative reviews are spot on. Â This franchise is the result of some very poor planning and execution. Â Seems like there are more employees in the dining room apologizing for poor service than actually doing much about it. Â On my most recent visit, a hospitality manager apologized for our slow order, and admitted directly that the kitchen was maxed out. Â They really should have planned better. Â 20 minutes for a drink order and 40 minutes for wings? Â No excuse.
We're all going to have to hope they get better. Â But unless they reconfigure their kitchen and dining room, I'm not expecting much improvement.
Ok...I like many berwynites have  been long waiting for a sports bar type joint, Buffalo Wild Wings appears to fill that void. It is a bit chaotic as  you walk in. The set up is not the best for the amount of traffic they are getting, entrance, bathrooms, take out, hostess and waiting area are all in the same place, which is a total turn off walking in.
It was a rainy Saturday night but the place was packed, which is expected. There were at least 5 groups of people waiting but plenty of open tables. So you think well maybe they didn't have enough staff but really how many people does it take to clean a table, certainly not three. Most of the very young staff, with the exception of Vince our server, appeared to walk around in a daze, lost. Luckily Vince was great and although service was moving slow he checked in regularly and gave us updates.
So now for the food, its great the same wings that you find accross the chain. The wings are crispy, not oily, just the right amount of sauce, the celery was good a nice crunch and fresh. All in all it was a good experience, not perfect but I'll give another shot, maybe give them some time to mature.
I showed up late at about 10PM on a wed night. Got a ten minute explanation on how this is a corporate store so they do not have tender wed special. The manager was unnecessary. A simple and quick explanation would have been fine as we didn't make a commotion about it and had only asked if they had it. Â Ordered two beers (2 green lines) and not only do they not show up for another half hour but whoever brought the beer comes to the table and asks if we ordered beer. We ask what kind and are responded to with.... "something". Yes apparently "something" is a beer now. We were then told to quit making things complicated. At this point we just wanted to pay and leave. Except our waitress never showed up again for 40 minutes. We simply paid at the bar and left to never return. I would rather drive the 30 minutes to the franchise elmhurst location. If I could give this place a half star I would.
Review Source:So, being a "WING WHORE" (both me and my hubby and my son) this used to be one of our fave places. We used to travel to Elmhurst to go to the nearest one and we were so thrilled when this one opened. We can on the 2nd day of grand opening and knew it would be packed. We expected a wait but figured the wings would be worth it.
BOY OH BOY OH BOY WAS I WRONG....
Arrived at 6pm, I was told we would have an hour wait, turned out it was only 20 minutes, talk about fantastic!!!! Our little buzzer buzzed and we went a runnin'
They sat us near the bar, which was ok but not ideal since my 9 year old was with us. It took our waitress about 20 minutes to come greet us, another 15 minutes to bring our drinks, she took our order and we did not see her again for ....guess how long? just guess? 10minutes? NO 40 minutes? NO....
ONE HOUR AND TWENTY MINUTES. Then finally our wings came out, Cold, Slimey. Tasteless, and plain nastyfied. Where was the sauce? We sat there for close to three hours waiting to eat- UH the nerve.
We figured maybe this was her first time waitressing or maybe she had a million tables. NOT. turns out she had three tables only. The wings here did not taste like the ones we usually have a BBWW and we will not be going back. Service was not "service" and NO she by no means got a tip.
This place is a madhouse! I knew that it was going to be busy, but I didn't know it was going to be this unorganized. I called in an order for takeout this past thursday. It took me atleast 3 tries to get through since their line was busy. When I arrived I tried going up to the counter to pick up my order, but they were so busy it took them about 10 minutes to even acknowledge me. Alot of people also had coupons so if you had a coupon you had to pay at the counter not with the waitress. When I brought the wings home the bf complained that the "hot" wings weren't even hot and he was right. They did not have much sauce on them. To anybody that lives on the southside I would just drive to Chicago Ridge than come here. Wait til the hype dies down.
Review Source:I enjoyed my previous visits to other buffalo wild wings locations and never had any problems but my goodness I had the worst restaurant expierence ever here. I waited 10 minutes to get seated which wasn't bad but after waiting for 15 minutes I had to ask for our server to show up to our table. Once the server took our orders we had to wait like an hour to receive our food. The food was cold, the wings were dry and had no flavor. I don't see myself coming back anytime soon to this location I hope they improve their problems or else they won't last.
