I love burger kings food but the fact that they are getting their palm oil from the Rainforest in Indonesia turns me off. Why do orangotans have to die so they can save a few bucks on oil. 4.5 million acres of rainforest are being slashed and burned by Sinaar Maas to make room for palm oil plantation. Not cool. I'll have a whopper when they get their palm oil from somewhere else or use a different type of oil.

Usually, I'm ashamed to admit just how much fast food I eat on a monthly basis. I can admit that it gets disguisting, makes me nauseous and that I'd rather avoid it. But then again, it's cheap, I expect it to be sort of nasty.

I remember the days when I was a kid, being a rebel, and spending all my savings on fast food just because my mom would rarely buy me any. Fast food tasted good back then.. somehow, I never realized I got undercooked items, spoiling vegetables and radioactive meat. But now, I notice it more and more!!

So.. every time I get bad service or bad food from a fast food joint, I avoid it like the plague (and not just that one location, all of them!). I've been hopping around from one fast food restaurant to another for quite a while now. Burger King and I had our mishap and so I was a little sickened at the thought of eating it again anytime soon.

But I had a horrible taco and I needed something so greasy that it would just sit in my stomach and keep me from getting sick (my body works backwards, I don't listen to doctors!). So we passed this BK on the way home and I ordered a Whopper JR (I like some lettuce and tomatoes to go against the fattiness of it all), some cheesy tots (haven't had them in a while and what-the-hey), and a strawberry milkshake (all the other BKs always say it's out of order so it was more of a 'let's see if they have it' than a true crave).

First thing I ate was the Whopper JR and the bun, lettuce, tomato and pickles were actually fresh, which is a rarity. The mayo was just right, not too much, not too little. And don't ask about cheese or onion because I don't like either on my Whopper JR! Is it weird that I'm going into so much detail about something most of you probably hate?? Oh well.. I was excited, it was the first Whopper JR I had enjoyed in such a long time.

Then I drank some of the strawberry milkshake and was so glad it wasn't liquid and sour like the last one I remember having. It was like when I was a kid... super yummy, sugary goodness!

I saved the worst for last because so many BKs have failed at making those cheesy tots right.. they're either burnt or undercooked. I looked at them, they were a little too brown on the edges but I dove in anyway... dipped it into ketchup and ate it. Then I screamed "WTF?!" (didn't spell it) and my husband thought something horrible had happened so he got scared.. my next words were "These are freakin' delicious, try one!!"

Anyway, this BK took me back yesterday.. and cured my tummyache. My husband said it's probably because the employees are not lazy *bleeps* like at the other BKs. This BK put all others to SHAME!!
