I went to watch the first Flyers/Penguins playoff game last night. The giant TV was black because they were featuring what looked to be a 400 pound Samoan with a guitar and an amp he couldn't turn down. Everyone at tables was seated as far from the stage as possible but still was unable to converse. Hated to be a poor 'sport' but I headed right back out the door.
Review Source:claims to have to the best burgers on the island. Must not be much competition. We went there on a sunday night. We were literally the only ones there for a while. BUrger wasn't bad but nothing to brag about. I had some wings. The wings were not good. If you ever had wings where the meat tastes like the bone. That was their wings. The fries were amazing. good service and a good place to shoot pool.
Review Source:Hole in the wall dark bar thats needs a major remodel done right. We went there to watch the football game. It has cheap bar table and chairs, Most tv were the smaller ones & Bar had musty smell. Beer was in good size glass. Hard drinks were in 6 oz plastic cups and strong. Food was good. We had all fried. Fried is not my first choice but, went by last reviewer for fish and chips. It was good. Had the fried pickles they were really good. The people were nice and the service was fast. It just wasn't comfortable. If you're looking for a place to hide or don't want to know if its night or day out its perfect. Left after eating and finished watching the game at wild wings, more family friendly & more comfortable.
Review Source:Wow, what a great surprise! My wife and I have lived on the island for 15 years and never managed to go here. Big mistake! We met some other couples there for lunch and all had a great time. The service was fast and friendly and the food good. I was tired of the usual burger routine so ordered fish and chips instead. The fish was superb; light and fluffy and not covered in three inches of breading. I have had this option at other places on the island, but Callahan's stands out as the clear winner. Go there!
