The food at Cancun is really good, but they are more expensive than other Mexican places in the city that are just as good!

I'm still not sure if I ate chicken or beef or venison or cat.  I recall it being iffy - and I'm someone who will literally eat anything south of the border.  But I decided to try it again and got something that could easily have been cat meat.  Old cat meat.  I was a waiter once and sympathize with those guys, so I didn't say anything but really - there was no excuse, considering I've been eating at jivey mexican places foreign and domestic for 20 years and never had that happen.  anywhere.  Not one piece - I mean the whole enchilada (literally).  Maybe a one-off bad moment, but if I was ever to eat a human cadaver, that is what I imagine it would taste like.

I seem to always move RIGHT by a Cancun restaurant. My boyfriend and I enjoy going here on Sundays when pitchers of margaritas are on special. They can sometimes be too sweet for my taste, but I can usually battle through it :) They have decent fajitas, and I used to LOVE their quesadillas. Their Diego dip is pretty darn good and their guac is good as well.

Overall, its a good place to go get a margarita and some chips and catch up with some friends. There is usually no wait to get a big booth.

Me and my girlfriend ate here a few nights ago, which wasn't our first trip. The food is not bad-we mainly eat here because it is convenient. The server was friendly, although I didn't know how to feel about him telling us we look 17 when he checked our IDs......anyway, this is a great place to go if you want to have some drinks and chips & salsa. None of the food I've eaten here has blown me away, but it is decent.

Food is still good but the service was pitiful.  We've eaten at the Keystone Cancun Restaurant for nine years and go there fairly often.  We always go there for dinner on Halloween.  Typically not at all crowded and this Halloween was no exception.  The host wanted us to sit in the dining room but we requested a booth in the bar area which is where we always sit.   He led us to the very first booth inside the bar and when I asked for one further in he handed me the menus and silverware and walked away.  And that was exactly as good as the service got.  The waiter wanted us to order right away but when we did, good luck getting him back to the table.  My order wasn't correct, he didn't come back to check, and this was the first time ever someone didn't ask us if we wanted a second margarita.  Took forever to get the check.  We actually had to flag someone down to ask our waiter for it.  We noticed the booth behind us having the same problem.  The poor man had to walk over to the bar to get someone then had to get his own leftover containers.  This restaurant used to have the best service and now it is the opposite.

Cancun is a decent restaurant. They are fast and have good service. There is also a decent selection of food and specials. I've tried a couple of their veggie options and was pleased. My husband always gets the wet burrito. The sauce on it is creamy. I think it's like a sour cream sauce.
The real reason we come here is the drinks! I don't usually get drinks with my meals but the margaritas are big, strong, and delicious. There are so many varieties. We have had a few different ones but I usually stick to whatever the special is.

Stick with the vegetarian dishes. Chips and salsa great. I liked it. Handy. Good service.

You know, it seems as if places like this are all the same.  The same extensive menu with interchangeable selections made from the same small group of ingredients.  The chips and salsa.  The queso at this place was pretty thin.  All and all, it wasn't bad, and it certainly filled me up, but that utter sameness just got to me this time.  Not only is the restaurant the same as so many similar places around town, but even the food is similar -- I couldn't tell much difference between my chicken and beef enchilada because they're pretty much, yeah, the same.

First off, I DO realize that most these joints are all the same. I used to frequent this place for several reasons:
    1. They have hard liquor, not just frozen crap. (i.e. La Piedad)
    2. The food is great.
    3. Great bar, and outside seating.
Now, on to why I'm done with Cancun:
Prices have ALL jumped up in the past 6 months. NOW, I normally don't have a problem with that, as long as there's reason for it. In this case, the food has gone so far downhill, it's embarrassing for them.
No more homemade salsa, no more fresh jalapenos, small I know, but it adds up. At one point it seemed as if the servers would fight over your table to get you served, now, sparce at best.
I realize I'm pretty much the only one you'll read that doesn't like Cancun, so go judge for yourself. As for me, if I'm goin' to a "greesey mexican spoon", it'll be La Hacienda.

My girlfriend and I were craving some Mexican this week, so we decided to grab an early dinner at Cancun Mexican on Keystone.  It looks and feels like your average Mexican-American restaurant with all the fixin's you'd expect.  Prices are right too.

They get you the chips and salsa fast - nice and warm, just how I like 'em.  The Menu is pretty good; lot's of variety and plenty of sides to add or substitute to your dish.  I went with the steak enchiladas, which were pretty good, but not out of the park good.  Unfortunately, I didn't check out the specials before I ordered - be sure to!  They have some great weekly deals.

One thing I noticed was the service became pretty slow after our meals were delivered.  We waited about 20 min for the waiter to come back around to fill our water/drinks.  The check took a long while to get too.

I also enjoyed a signature Texas-style Margarita, which was pretty delicious.  Made with 1800 Silver, it will have you feeling pretty good by the end of your meal!  I'd definitely come back for some Cancun creations, muy bien!

There are several Cancuns in town, but I've only been to the one on Keystone.  I was having a Mexi-craving last night and thought I'd give this place a try.  I was happy I did.

It was a pretty standard Mexican place.  Warm chips and okay salsa.  The first batch of chips I got were all the broken pieces, so when I finally flagged down a waiter, he was happy to bring me a new basket.  We started with an order of the queso dip- so yummy!  I'm up for anything involving melted cheese, so of course I loved it.  For dinner, I ordered two tacos, one beef and one chicken and my boyfriend got steak enchildas.  He devoured his plate, and I enjoyed mine too.  Nothing to write home about, but pretty decent for Indiana Mexican.

The reason this place gets three instead of four stars was the services.  The food came out really quickly, but once the waiter brought us our dinner he rarely stopped by to inquire about the meal or get drink refills.  I waited about 10 minutes for a refill on my drink which I think is pretty unacceptable.  I will say this: it looked like the poor guy was the only waiter on our half of the restaurant.  Maybe on a weekend night the service would be better.

All in all, I will definitely be back to Cancun for me next Mexi-craving!

Eh. The food was okay. Not enough tortillas, dangit. The pollo poblano was alright- Nothing memorable. The order was taken so quickly that I basically picked the first thing. I think I spent too long looking at the margarita menu and trying to debate if I wanted to drink a 40oz monster margarita, and be the only one to drink a drink that big, in front of my boyfriend and his mother, or pay nearly the same amount for a drink half that size.
I went with the monster margarita. It was $1o (on special) and the other margaritas were $9. That's about TEN bucks for a 20oz margarita (or so). Seriously? Not a price I'd want to pay. I didn't even end up having to pay, but I wouldn't want anyone else to pay for that, either. Needless to say, I went for the big one.

This is my local Mexican place.  I love it!

There are more than one Cancun in town, and they are both very good.  The one on Keystone is "mine".

The food is consistently good quality, and very tasty for the price.  They have the full menu of "Tex Mex" you expect, and many house specialties.  I've had most of the signature items and they're are all great.  Any of the "Jose Frog" items are recommended.

The have daily drink and menu specials that are really great.  Examples are: 48 oz Draft beers for $3.50 and Giant margaritas specials each day.  The "Pink Cadillac" is a must try.

The service is always fast and friendly.   The servers are attentive and helpful.

It's also a great place to get a quick drink before heading into Broad Ripple for a Saturday night.

    Give this place a try!

I went with a group of 5 on a Sunday afternoon and was very happy with the quality of the food. Our server was very attentive and helpful.

I really did not expect the food to be as good as it was. Can't wait to go again. And how can you go wrong with 60oz pitchers of margaritas for 12.95!

This was my first visit to Cancun Mexican Restaurant.  My friend Marty and I decided to check them out.  I had the fish tacos, which were okay, but I'd have preferred them not being breaded and fried.  My friend had the Burrito Del Mar and he seemed to really enjoy it.

HUGE margaritas on the drink special and we were quite buzzed and stuck around after we finished eating so we could get home safely.

    We'll be back.

Our usual go-to Mexican place.  Strong Margs?  check.  32 XX Drafts?  check.  Bottomless chips and salsa that doesn't taste like ketchup?  check.

Nightly specials, friendly service, what-you'd expect atmosphere.  If you're planning to hang out a while, hold off on placing your order since food comes out pretty quickly.  Sit in the bar half to the left, as the seating section to the right of the host stand is kind of sparse and harshly lit.

When you want Mexican and don't feel like worrying about parking, it does the trick.

I'm a total Mexican food snob. After living in San Diego and Texas, I've had the best of the best - either Baja style or Tex Mex. Cancun is alright, but it's not on the top of my list.

The one redeeming quality is the 1 drink I had got me pretty toasted. Bang for your buck is always nice.

I probably won't be back here of my own volition, but I'm sure we'll end up here with some giant group or another.

Cancun is awesome for when you want to pig out on mexican food and drink XX beer in a tall frosty mug.  The portions are large and if you start with the chips and salsa (why wouldn't you???) you're going to leave stuffed.  My favorites are the fajita nachos, fajita quesadilla, and fajitas.  Seeing a pattern here?  What can I say, I figure out what I like and I stick to it. I've had some disappointing dishes, but considering I've been to Cancun A LOT it's safe to say those experiences are far and few between.

Decent Mexican chain restaurant with good service. The food came out so fast it gives La Piedad a run for its money but wasn't nearly as good. It was just okay but the margaritas were delicious and stiff.   Two dinners and a pitcher=$37.33

DOWNGRADE! Cancun can join Fountain Square's El Arado in the category of Indianapolis Mexican FAIL. I guess I had one too many margaritas here last time to notice that the food is really pretty lame. My meal arrived within about three minutes of ordering, which is a little suspect and also just inappropriate for a sit-down place. The veggies in the enchiladas were undercooked and the cheese on top was NOT even melted. The sauce tasted bitter and the tortillas were coldish. It was as if the dish had been warmed under a heat lamp instead of cooked in an oven. I would have sent it back--something I really only do if there appears to be a foreign substance in my meal--but I was afraid my dining companion would think I was an a-hole! The service was super nice, but it couldn't make up for a completely unacceptable meal.

Full disclosure: I used to not be a fan of Mexican food. I know, I know, what is wrong with me, etc. However, I finally managed to grow up some  and become an actual adult, and discovered the joy that is quality Mexican food, which is what you'll find at Cancun. No sad little platters of bland, microwaved tortillas and meat here, friends; my bf and I had huge, delicious plates of fast, fresh, and hot food that came out quickly despite the fact that the place was packed on a snowy Friday night.

From the piles of warm tortilla chips and fresh salsa, to the creamy non-radioactive yellow queso dip, to the massive quesadilla filled with avocado and all kinds of other delicious goodies, there was very little not to love about our meal at Cancun. It took a few minutes upon finishing our meal and having our plates cleared to get our check, which was amazingly reasonable for how much food and booze we had, but I chalked it up to the fact that our server probably had a ton of tables that night.

Even though I'm a Nap-Town n00b, I'm fairly certain that from here on out I'll be a Cancun regular.

Friendly, fast service,  but usually the food comes out cold/lukewarm.  Steer clear of the enchilada sauce as it is terrible.  For as many times as I've been here, I should have more to say.  But it's pretty typical Tex Mex stuff.  Oh yeah, free chips and salsa are good.

Wow, I didn't even realize this was a chain! I guess it kind of has that look to it, especially from the outside, but it seems nicer than most chains to me. It has a pretty unromantic location--right by the Kroger, pretty much in a strip mall--but the food is good, and pitchers of beer are relatively cheap. The decor is a little nicer than the standard Mexican restaurant pictures of girls in 19th-century-looking traditional dresses baking bread or something.

I recommend either not ordering an appetizer, or sharing an entree with your dinner companion, because the portions are really big. Any kind of burrito smothered in sauce is a good bet. The only thing I really can't recommend ordering is the quesadilla with meat added--when mine arrived, it was almost all meat and very little cheese. Hardly a quesadilla in my book!

Another thing I really like about this restaurant is that there are two "sides" to it. When you walk in, you can either go to the right or to the left. To the right is a dining area which is mercifully free of TVs, and to the left is bar area (with tables) that does have a TV. I really appreciate the choices there, since TVs that can't be escaped are one of my biggest restaurant pet peeves!

Nice outdoor seating, inexpensive, good service and good food. I've eaten here probably 100 times and never had a problem, despite the fact I order a la carte items that aren't even on the menu. The language barrier very rarely causes any problem, and they are quick to correct. And oh yeah, they are super fast getting your food out! I've heard this location is much better than the 82nd St. one.
