Ooh I'm on the verge of loving this bar. I'm a huge fan of dives that feel comfortable, like an old comfy sweatshirt, if that makes any sense. Catalina Lounge is definitely that kind of dive. It's more open and well-lit than most I've been to, and has a bunch of pool tables and nice guys who taught us how to play the giant shuffle board.
The down side? I can't help but think they're a teeny bit pricier than I expected. And they don't take credit cards, so keep that in mind before using the teeny tiny ATM by the front door.
