Crab fries are the best! Huge bar. One of my favorite places to watch the game.

A good place to find yourself, not necessarily one to plan for. I used to occasionally end up here after work and never had a bad time. Crab fries are all they're trumped up to be, beer flows freely and pretty cheap and...well, the game is on. It's a pretty standard sports bar with a great marketing campaign and some official partnerships. It is just fine, and you probably won't regret spending an hour or 2 there.

My only beef is that they asked me to turn my hat around, but I supposed they were concerned about the glare from the indoor lamps getting in my eyes and causing an accident or something, so it was probably for my own good...or whatever. It couldn't have been a need to maintain a dress code in a place where jerseys are predominantly worn. Anyway, don't go out of your way for C & P, but if your co-workers invite you or you want to kill some time before/after a game, why not?

Went here for a party in the other side of the main restaurant. They have these little cubicles with whatever game system you would ever want. Can't say anything new about the food so I won't... I'll have to go the the service. If the entire experience was dependent on the one bartender that I initially had serving me at the bar, I would have given the place 1 star. He was dismissive, ageist, and confrontational. When I decided that he wasn't going to person I wanted handling my food I took a seat in a 2 seater booth and my waitress totally changed my opinion of the place. That happens, sometimes so I'm glad I didn't just storm out of the place. She was attentive and very helpful. Gave me great recommendations and didn't rush me even though her shift was ending. I wish I wrote this review fresh because it was 4 months ago during March Madness and I can't remember either of their names.

Great food, great atmosphere, great service.  Crab fries, Philly steak sandwiches and a cold draft...Life doesn't get much better than this.  A must stop if you're in Philly

Came here for the crab fries and an awesome Superbowl experience and this did not disappoint! I had  cheese steak in the form of nachos which are kinda weird but its such a cool place and friendly staff that it didn't matter too much.

I went here for my first time tonight, and I was blown away! I'm a big fan of sports bar/restaurants so this place definitely fit the bill. Their buffalo wings were DELICIOUS! And I've heard so much about these Crab Fries, I had to try them... they rocked too! Give this place a shot, I'll definitely be back.

The fam stopped in before the Phillies game the other night.  I had been here prior to Eagles games, mainly for the crab fries and beer.  Tonight we stopped for dinner.  Must have been a bad night(really, really bad night). Had to wait about 20 minutes while looking at multiple open tables.  Finally sat down and ordered.  We had a Chicken cutlet sandwich, cheese steak nachos, wings and a burger(didn't say we were eating healthy!). Chicken sandwich came out first, all by itself...about 5 minutes before the nachos...then the wings....then the burger.  4 items, 4 different food runners at 4 different times.
Cutlet sandwich was a couple tenders, tossed in hoagie roll drizzled with honey mustard.  Nacho chips were very soggy from the moment they arrived.  Wings were so-so at best and the burger was simple but the bun was crusty, literally hard crust on the outside.

Our waiter was energetic but when returned with the bill and my credit card, he literally tossed it. Our table and walked off.

I'm in no hurry to go back.

OK- so it's not hard for a native Californian to realize that they have bomb cheese steaks and crab fries. However, the 'dress code' is hilariously awful. No backwards hats boys. This isn't some 5 star fine dining in NYC or Beverly. Its a sports bar in south Philly. The service was nice, however we got our cheese steaks literally two minutes after we ordered and waited a few more minutes for water. When it came time for the bill, we had to flag down our waitress after waiting. Sorry but in Cali we are free to do as we please at a place of this caliber and a dress code at some bar just doesn't do it for me (even if it doesn't pertain to me)!

Side note: my boyfriend was wearing a 76'ers hat...a PHILLY team. And he and his dad were/are professional athletes themselves. HAH...maybe that's why I found this so comical...this sports bar thinking they have authority when real athletes laugh at people that take this crap seriously. I will never understand the lack of common sense in this city.

By far one of the best if not only sports bar and daily regular hang out for me back when I still lived in south Philly !!!!!!!!!! I was there hanging out for lunch ad dinner and partying til closing nearly 20-30 hours a week at least. Great place to catch the games, mingle with people and the friendly staff. I'm sure if management or Pete himself reads this and sees my profile pic he would remember me. If owner Pete is reading this ....."yo Pete you should consider opening a CP out here in Vegas all the Philly people that live here and there is quite a lot to be honest love and miss CPs .

Recommendation to people is def try the crab fries. Many of te items on the menu are great. Been 3 yrs since I moved from south Philly to Vegas but I'm guessing there's been a lot more added to the menu?

I really hope to one day be visiting back home and will def want to come back to CPs. I miss the overall experience atmosphere, food, service and most importantly the people of CPs as that's what really makes me love the place and is key to any business to retaining clientele returning.

Hope someone that remembers me reads this and messages back on yelp. Would so seriously love a CP franchise location in Vegas for all us Philly natives and such out here. Plus Vegas could use the most popular voted sports bar in the nation at the biggest sports betting capital in the world here in sin city.

    Love you all at CPs

I've gone back and forth with giving this place 4 or 5 stars, I am settling with 4 only because of the pain in the tail service we had when we first arrived.

I was told by all my Philly friends that I had to go here for crab fries when I was town.  Friday night during the Phillies game we went to Chickie's and Pete's, we were immediately seated at a two top table.  While delivering our beers and crab fries, the server asked us if we were ready to order.  We explained that we would be there for the game and we were pacing ourselves and her response was "the whole game, well you better be constantly ordering if you are going to take up my table."  I totally understand her concern, and we assured her that we would in fact be ordering beers and food throughout the game.

A few moments later she walked through her section complaining and cussing about the $1.00 tip she received from her table, again, I understand her concern, but there is a time and a place.  She then cleared a table and came to take the order of the people next to us, and placed the dirty plate of shrimp peels on the table, gross.  While our beers sat empty she sat down a few tables near us and had a 10 minute conversation with her friends that were dining there.  Another table sat down and again we heard the same speech about not talking up her tables and that they had to order all night (glad it wasn't just us).  At this point, our beers had been empty for 20 minutes.

My friend went over to the bar, found 2 empty chairs and I asked her for our check.  She knew we had planned to stay all night and asked why we were leaving, and I was happy to tell her that we were not going to take up her table.  Our check was $14.00 and I left $24.00 hoping that she would take that act of kindness and extend it to the poor patrons who had to deal with her next.

Now.... Onto the experience at the bar... TOTALLY AMAZING.  The bar staff that was working on Friday 4/19/13 made our night.  They were friendly, informative, suggested what yumminess to order on the menu!  Over all, those 4 gentlemen negated the unfortunate experience on the other side of the restaurant.

The food by the way... the crab fries... yum'tastic!  My friend ordered the "red" mussels and I had the "bleu" mussels.  I feel like we ate all night long and never put a dent in them.  Absolutely amazing.  If I am ever back in Philly... I will 100% be visiting the bar at Chickie's and Pete's!!

IT JUST SIMPLY AMAZES ME WHEN I READ THESE REVIEWS WRITTEN BY THE SILVER SPOON RESIDENTS OF THE SUBURBS. LAUGH OUT LOUD. Ok, so you've read the reviews about the food, etc but this is quite simple folks. This is the #1 Sports Bar in the United States of America. Period. The ambience is 5 platinum stars. Anytime there is a goal, touchdown, etc the bells, whistles and horns will blow off like your in the 1st row of the stadium in person. The music is upbeat and sets a motivating tempo to party. Friday and Saturday nights in C&P is the epitome of brotherly love. The commoratore is SECOND TO NONE. Trust me folks, I've been to sports bars all over the country. This is numeral uno. Wether your there to watch sports or party and eat this place accommodates everything. Please for the love of God will people from the suburbs stop coming here and rating it. They only write sub par reviews because genetically they are nerds and wouldn't know a good time if it landed on their main line boring heads

Not your average sports bar, especially when their's a 100 inch screen in the middle of the place. It's located in some strip mall right off the highway, their's other stores there but the entire parking lot is for Chickie's. My friend and I came here after the Knick's got their ass kicked by the 76'ers. The wait we were told was 45 mins or so they sent me a text to my phone for a way to track my seating, in less than 20 mins I was ready. I feel a lot of restaurants may try to add extra time to the wait list just to make it less crowded and or give the employees a breather.

I ordered the crab fries right away, to only be disappointed real fast, its just old bay seasoning on crinkled fries, not a big deal. Had they put crab meat with old bay with melted cheese, then we're talking! We both ordered crab legs cause apparently their seasoning is different which it was! I don't know what type of spice it was but you can definitely tell the difference between old bay and whatever they used, it had a nice kick to it. The menu said a pound and a quarter per order but I felt it may have been less or maybe I was just too hungry.

Their's a lot of stuff on the menu that I want to try next time. Its def the second place you visit in Philly after you get yourself a cheese-steak!

It's good for what it is. The food isn't great - save for a few standouts like the mussels and crab fries - but it's bar food so your expectations can't be that high. It's a great place for grabbing a bite before a game at The Bank. There's plenty of seating so it's usually not a long wait even before game time.

Came here for the worst culinary disappointment of my entire life. My friends raved about these "crab fries" which I assumed would be some unique concept of fried crab meat made their own secret way served with thier own secret sauce. Instead out came these fries with seasoning on them to which my reaction was "WTF?!" First of all, seafood seasoning does not belong on french fries. I tried them and was not impressed, especially for the price I paid.  Try ketchup or cheese wiz Chickie.  They are possibly the most over-hyped food in the entire Philadelphia region.

Heyyy I just ate here recently for the first-time in a very long time. It's pretty sweet here. I am totally going to go back. The sweet potato crab fries are awesome with the cheese sauce and the hot applesauce dressing. I think the applesauce dressing could be an aphrodisiac? I was all horny after an hour of eating that stuff. Like legit.

PLENTY of seating, dinner on a Thursday night was quite interesting. Very awkward music (club/house/electro) for a sports bar. Aside from that the "ultimate tailgate" (crab cake on burger) was alright. I was thoroughly impressed by the crab-fries, specifically the dipping sauce that came with it (def made the meal)

Very formidable beer selection, I was not disappointed. All in all, it was ok food at an ok venue. The food seems trumped by the over-the-top atmosphere.

Last time I went here I got mussels which were pretty on-par for this city.

This last time I got a burger. Had to be one of the worst I have ever had in my entire life and that is not exaggerating. You would think a kitchen that doesn't have to worry about pushing the whole table out at the same time (each plate comes out as they are ready) would have a potentially higher quality.

    Nope.

Lets start with the cheese: The cheese was all not on the burger and was burned from the hotplate and so it was this huge black thing stuck to the side of my bun. Literally no cheese left unburnt. Why order a cheeseburger if I don't get any un-burnt cheese?

The bun: ruined by the burnt cheese for some reason.

The meat: overcooked to heck. they didn't let me choose how I wanted it done (I prefer medium-rare), so they cooked it overly overly well-done. Not sure why you can't get the whole table at once when there are only 15 other people in there during lunch...

The rest: it came with tomato, onion, lettuce which were just ok.

Bottom Line: do not get burgers here. They are absolutely a waste of money and are disgusting. Good thing I had some fries, those are always somewhat good.

If I were to go back, which I probably will, I will get the mussels or clams I guess.

I'm not sure if there is anyone out there who can say they don't like Chickie and Pete's. What's not to love? Their crabfries are the stuff of legends. Their mussels are served in a red sauce that makes me wish I had an Italian grandma. Their sandwiches are served on the best rolls I can find in Philly.  I'm also a fan of their hot shrimp (must love garlic) and their crab legs (must really, really love garlic).
Aside from the food the atmosphere here is one of the best. Even if you aren't a Philly sports fan, you have to admit that this is one of the top 3 sports bars in the country. The beer towers are always flowing here and they sometimes have decent specials. The local sports radio stations and tv sports stations broadcast from this location on occasion. Locals and tourists frequent this spot so it can often get crowded during the weekends or before/after big games. Go early if you want a seat.
Without a doubt, Chickie's is the best place to watch a Phils, Flyers, or Eagles game or any other sporting event.

One of my favorites. I like everything, but of course, the crab fries are my fave. The wings from here are also one of my favorites. I used to love the mussels but then started to make my own, which I think are better so, I pass on those. I always take visitors here when it's cold for a cheesesteak, I actually love the provolone cheese sauce, so I prefer it to the big names down the street.

This has got to be one of the worst places to go to in the entire city. I came with friends here and hated everything about it. First of all, they had hardly any vegan food options. I ended up getting a pizza without cheese and fries. The beer selection sucks, unless you think Budweiser is a high-quality beer. The place is full of fat, disgusting heathens with grease dripping from their mouths staring at the servers breasts, who looks like she might as well work at Hooters. Seriously, this place is foul. I hated everything about it, including the name.

5 stars, as far as sports bars go. Awesome atmosphere with tons of TVs, high ceilings which allows for huge projectors to show games, great service, prices and food. For my gluten free eaters, the tortilla chips and fries are both gluten free. They also use a separate fryer from their breaded goods, so no cross contamination! Try the Buffalo Chicken nachos... the chicken is grilled, so no worries there. It is covered in cheese sauce and bleu cheese, too. I opted for extra buffalo sauce for more balance between hot and cheesy. I got the bacon cheeseburger with no bun, which was made from high quality sirloin. It was incredibly good! Their mixed drinks didn't skimp on the alcohol either. High recommended. Can't wait to go back!

Every one knows the deal with Chickie's , so I will not try to sound repetitive here.
Great , clean establishment, great service, beautiful bars, beautiful women serving you with that South Philly attitude we all know and love. If you are not familiar with the area along with that "swagger" some might think this is odd, a bit rude I over heard a table say. I laugh at that, thinking they have no clue with their suburban mentality how things get done around here.

Not familiar group asked: Excuse me waitress what kind of cheese comes on the burger?  ( on the menu it says "American" )

Waitress: a slight pause... looked and said "American" what else were you looking for?

There is your answer, you don't question it , its how they do, you either want cheese or not basically. The list goes on and on with all the great ways to enjoy the C&P rush you get  with Play 2 located thru the corridor you can't go wrong here.

Wings here are  absolutely  phenomenal, meaty wings perfection I must say. If you do , no better yet when you ask for the wings ask them to make it crispy, keep it in the fryer a little longer . Trust me you will like this , I am a trained veteran in this area.

We also  tried the Buffalo chicken Nachos, amazing I must say, who doesn't love nachos with the shredded chicken, chunks of blue cheese with the melted American to add to the mix making it a nice blanket of covered goodness .

I also went with the ultimate tailgate cheese burger as my main course.  2 words.. GOOD LORD, this was delicious, a marvel to enjoy. The " Albert Einstein" of genius I must say, E=MC2 (Eat More Chickie's ) The crab  cake on top of the burger was delicious with the added compliment of the juicy burger underneath cooked medium with the right amount of cheese. I was gonna add bacon to the party, even though you can never, I mean NEVER go wrong with bacon I figured I would rock out the bacon party on the next visit.  Now I can't wait for the next visit to South Philly so I can peruse this adventure. (Next Tuesday before work ! )

Great crab fries with the lovely cups of melted American cheese for you to dip, or if you are not into the seasonings go with the sweet potato fries with that delicious dipping. Be bold mix it, go half and half if you want, half crab, half sweet, bickitty BAM ! that is good stuff. They do have regular fries also if you just want to be a "plain Jane". No pun intended to the Janes out there, I am sure you are all not plain.

Great atmosphere for the sporting fan, my lovely wife loves this place, great service, clean, TVs' everywhere so you don't miss a beat. Beer towers to enjoy, Lobster tails, lobster pizza, crab and or lobster cheese steaks.. of course crab legs I mean the list goes on and on of just a great place to dine.  Mussells red, white , Shrimp, ok I gotta stop because I will never finish this review.

We were here for an event honoring 9/11. I had the salad (surprise surprise) with grilled chicken. The chicken was salty I couldn't even touch it. My mouth watered after taking the first bite it was so strong. The fries were yummy though.

We also sampled their pizza. No flavor whatsoever, but we had to eat.

The actual venue and the servers are great! So two stars there.

Finally made it out to Chickie & Pete's, must say for all the hype regarding this place I was pretty underwhelmed. The place is essentially a large sports bar with mediocre food. Lots of TV's so its easy to see the sports action from virtually every seat in the house.

Had the pepperoni pizza. Didn't like it at all. The sauce tastes like Ragu sauce poured on a thin but doughy crust. Not appealing at all. The crab fries are good but hardly enough to recommend a visit just for them.

The service is a bit slow even though the place was only half full and not friendly at all. All in all with Xfinity just down the street at the stadiums you're better off going there.

If you need salt, then this is your place!  There must be a salt mine under the restaurant, even the air in there smells of salt.

This place is ready for a "Restaurant Impossible" makeover.

There were 7 of us in two different cars.  The second car was delayed by 10 minutes so we arrived first and told the hostess that we're a party of 7, but she refused to seat us until our whole party arrived.  The place was mostly empty, with staff just standing around.  We should have left... If they sat us, we would have all ordered drinks and at least 2 apps, but instead they lost on that sale.

The interior is an attention deficit disorder's dream come true with flashing lights and weird noisy decor, a visual hurricane of bad design sense and beer lights.  Like someone threw a hand grenade into a Fridays chain.

Once seated on the sticky fishy smelling uncomfortable kind of damp chairs, looking at the menu it was impossible to find anything that wasn't fried.  Even the salad comes with french fries on top.  I asked our server if they had any grilled chicken, she said it was a slow night and the kitchen could "Probably grill something".

All the beers were your typical beer flavored watered down beer brands like Coors Lite and Bud Lite and Light lite, now without the taste!

The clients were mostly middle aged pot bellied men, holding beers and looking like they were all wondering where their lives went.  There wasn't a pretty girl in the place really.  Why would a pretty girl want to go there anyway?

Figuring since we were in South Philly I ordered a cheese steak.  My gal pal ordered a salad without fries, and the children with us ordered a pizza to share.  All standard fare for South Philly, one would think... right?  There's no way all of these Italians in South Philly could fuck up a pizza and a cheese steak, right?

    Wrong.

The pizza was an Ellios frozen pizza, I kid you not.  It was so bad that hungry children wouldn't eat it.  I've never seen a kid not eat pizza before!  I tried a bit, it was totally inedible.  It was also wet.  Not like greasy pizza wet, but like someone dropped it in the sink wet.

My cheese steak was also wet.  Like the pizza, not like greasy cheese steak wet, but soggy roll wet with cheese dripping out.  I thought the cheese was so hot that it was melting, but it never solidified.  I asked my server and she said it was "cheese sauce" which is apparently cheese flavored water, with extra salt.

My colleague ordered a Buffalo Pizza Steak, which also came with wet salt sauce and extra salt, and his wife got crabs with crab fries and salt.

For the uninitiated, crab fries here means "orida frozen fries with old bay sprinkled on top", not fresh cut fries with actual chunks of crab meat as one would expect from a restaurant.

Overall, avoid this dingy, horrible place until the "restaurant impossible" make over is done with it, or it falls though the Earths crust due to the salt mine under it.

Perfect place to go if you are looking to hang out, relax and watch the game while eating some great chicken and seafood.

This C&P, in particular, has a new expansion that truly makes it fun and amazing for both the man-child or just the child, with an entire game center of video games to keep you entertained.

I also have to say I love the camaraderie here. Obviously, I'm a Flyers fan, and it was funny to me to see some Rangers fans get boo'd out of the place before they could even sit down. I know some will find that rude, but it's Philly-you should know how serious the sports fans are here. That being said, if you are with a "mixed party" (i.e. Flyers fans with opposing team friends/fans) don't go here to eat. ;)

I've never been disappointed with the service or the food. We go here again and again.

Chickie's used to be my favorite spot to go to in all of Philly.  The sports bar atmosphere, tons of seating, beer specials, and great food (Crab Fries at the top of the list) were all apart of the Chickie's culture that many Philadelphians loved even more than their first-born.  I mean where else could we all openly talk about how it was the Eagles year to win it all, or how Peter Forsberg would finally take the Flyers to the cup.  (There's plenty more of these could-have-beens in this town).

Well, years have passed since this location opened and while many of those great attributes remain, the quality (and quantity) of the food has declined greatly.  First of all, they add new items to their menu about once every 3-4 years but I can get over that pretty quickly.  They really haven't needed to be innovators because of their incredible location by all of the Philly Stadiums and the Walt Wit Bridge.

The food is the main reason why I stopped coming here- they serve less of it for the same (or increased) prices and I always seem to have a problem with it; whether it came out cold or sloppily put together.  Specifically, all of the menu items with chicken cutlets on them have gotten smaller in the past few years.  I'm not picky, but it's easy to notice when you visit pretty frequently.  The burgers are plain and nothing exciting, the salads lack flavor too, and loading them all with crab fries seems to be the go-to method for sparking some appeal in these boring bowls of green abyss.  I could go on but you get the point, the food is just mediocre and if they didn't have Crab Fries they would be the same as any other large-scale sports bar on the east coast. (thinking of CHAMPS, Buffalo Wild Wings, etc.).

It's not only that Chickie's food quality has started to slightly decline, it's the fact that so many new places with just as many TV's, just as many seats, better beer specials, and 10x better food are opening up all over the Philly region.  Pete has become more concerned with franchising out, making bank on each new location that opens up (can't blame him), but there comes a point when you have to look at your creation and say "Is this the best that I can do? Is this the best product I can put out there with my name branded all over it?"

Right now I think the answer is a big, resounding "NO!"  But once they have some fresher ideas for menu items (thinking sandwiches tied into Philly legends), and better quality food to choose from... I"ll be back, and they'll have me as a regular once again.

They say this place is good for watching sports and having a beer. I am not usually here for sports purposes as I am a fan of the SuperBowl Championship NY Giants, and 27 time championship NY Yankees. I am usually here for after work get togethers or lunch every two months.

It's crazy but this NY'er is not turned off by the pizza. I think it is pretty damn good, and makes for a pretty good snack after PSSC softball games. To all my die hards, please accept my apologies but the crab fries are overrated. They are way too salty, and the cheese dip is nasty. Everything else is pretty much your regular bar food wings, burgers, chicken sandwiches, etc. Off course you are going to have your cheesesteaks and the chicken sandwiches come in different variations.

What shocked me here was the mussels and the crab legs. They are better than some seafood places. If you're not afraid of shellfish order the mussels in white. If you are trying to avoid carbs; suck it up. Order extra bread and dip that that sucker in that bowl end enjoy!!

Oh Chickie's and Pete's, you are the perfect place to watch some sports and indulge.

No doubt this is not the best food I've ever had but, if you can get a seat, grab some beer with mussels red and crab fries, there's no way not to thoroughly enjoy this place during a game or any time you're down by the stadiums.

My favs are the crab fries, mussels red (white is overloaded with garlic that I can't always take it), the spicy pull and peel shrimp, steamers, and if the mood is right the blue crabs (it's a lot of work but tasty). This place also makes getting down and dirty with your food easy. There are sinks all over so you can rinse the mess off your hands once you're done....good touch.

To sum it up, Chickie's and Pete's is a Philadelphia institution and always a good time. I strongly suggest going at least once to enjoy the experience.

Please note: Make sure to remember two things before coming during major sporting events. 1. You'll never get a table and 2. You'll deal with a ton of drunk people. I've absolutely been one of these people before and we can get annoying unless you're in the right frame of mind. :)

There's no better atmosphere for me than a sports bar in a major city packed with fans about to head out to the game(s) who are getting ready for it by eating and drinking and bonding.

Chickie's and Pete's, just around the corner from the Philadelphia sports complex that houses the Phillies, Eagles, Flyers and Sixers is the ideal spot for all pregame festivities. It's one of my favorite sports bars ever. (And I've been to many)

With plenty of beer, food, TVs and passion among the fans of the Philly sports scene, it is very intense and a lot of fun even if you don't love the Philly teams.

This place is famous for its crab fries, which are thin crinkle cut fries dusted with Old Bay seasoning and served with a side of white cheese sauce.  They are served in a large tub, so sharing is encouraged.  Pregame snacking doesn't get much better than this.  And if you miss out on them here (or need more) you can also get them at the Phillies game.

Another great option are the mussels in either a red or white sauce that are extremely tasty, along with shrimp, lobster, clams and crab options!  Not exactly standard sports bar fare.

But, of course, there's also the standard bar food choices such as wings, burgers, sandwiches, various appetizers and, of course, plenty of beer and drink options.

You like sports bars and sports teams?  If you visit Philly and plan to take in a game, (or even if you don't) go see Chickie and Pete first to get yourself ready.

Crab fries + mussels + crabs + ice cold Yuengling + 300 million TVs and projectors to watch any sports programming available = one of my versions of heaven.

Get here early though, if it's a big game night it gets packed pretty quick and you'll be waiting an hour for a seat.

On our way to The Lakes for a quick lap or two, my sister and I drove past Chickie and Pete's. She then proceeded to describe, in great detail, how mouth-wateringly awesome their crab fries were. Needless to say, during my run at The Lakes, crab fries were on my mind the entire time.

So on our way home we picked up an order of buffalo wings and their famous crab fries. Oh yes, the crab fries were finger-licking good. Their goodness surprised the hell out of me. They were a little too salty, but the old bay helped to balance it out a bit. Unfortunately, the buffalo wings weren't that good. Chickie and Pete's is too well known of a sports bar to have just ok buffalo wings. They need to do something about that.

I'm sure I would have a good time here having crab fries over a game of soccer (do they show soccer there?).

    Will never go back.

This place is all hype, if that's your thing. I went here before a game and waited about 45 minutes for a table for 2. I watched about 7 tables sit empty the entire time, and even pointed them out to the staff. The food was eh. They are known for their crabs fries. They are good, but not worth everything else. If you just want a beer, while standing around a bar to chat with friends while a game is on, then this is your place.

    CHEESESTEAK RATING: C+
I had the lobster cheesesteak, so this could be skewed a little. The sauce and lobster did not add to it. Even without the sauce and lobster, it still was a small cheesesteak and not anywhere comparable to the best of them.

This is a great place to stop in before any game in the Philly area.  The place is huge and has plenty of seating.  They expanded this one to make it even bigger so you will likely be able to get in depending what day and time you are visiting.  If it's a playoff game or big game in general and the game has already started I would expect a wait.

The food here is your basic bar food wings, beer and some really great mussels.  They serve everything as it's ready so if you are expecting an appetizer then dinner and so on you will not like this place.  If your mussels are ready before your chicken sandwich then you are getting it in that order.  They also have no dessert menu so don't go looking for any ice cream.

This is a great place to go and party and they frequently have Philly area sports media and players in the place to meet.

Everything is fairly cheap in the place too so that's a major plus.  If you need any suggestions I would get some Crab Fries, Magooby sandwich and some Mussels in red sauce.  They also have some pretty cheap endless crab legs and other endless food entrees that you can get.  If you can't have fun in this place you are either an out of town fan or just not able to have fun.  Would definitely make this a place to visit if you are in Philly for a game and want to eat somewhere not in the stadium.

I will not be a stranger to this place despite the opening of Xfinity Live. The personality of C & P resembles that of true Philadelphians. We enjoy the sandwiches and seafood, the fries of course and the dipping sauce. The portion of fries is huge!

There's a ton of TV's that display any Philly game on that night/day. It's a casual party and get together to mesh with strangers, drink and eat and take in a game or enjoy a live performance.

Their new way of taking down names and notifying you when you're table is ready is a so/so method. The hostesses text you when you can be seated, and if you have no service, you may wait unknowingly for a while.

Service has always been great and smooth.

We will never forget about C & P. I will always make this place my go to place to watch games and eat.

I'm going to keep this short and sweet. I am a sports fanatic. I've traveled all over the country and I've never found a better sports bar. Now I may be slightly biased because I am a Philadelphia sports fan but I really don't think that is the case.
The crab fries are a must-have. Leave your computer now and go try them if you haven't. If you haven't had them before you haven't lived.
The crab legs are a seafood and garlic lovers dream.
The chickie's cutlet italian always hits the spot for lunch or dinner.
There are TVs everywhere and sports fans galore. This is where the real fans hang out and watch the games.
The service is wicked fast (yes I said wicked).
I could go on forever but then I'd be taking away precious time that you could be spending at Chickie and Pete's and I wouldn't want to do that...

The only bad thing about Chickies- you will usually have to wait for a table during peak times which happens to be when I go most often.

What an incredible atmosphere, a huge party place with delicious food all around. I had been here several years ago and didn't think it had enough charm back then, but the recent renovations are thoroughly amazing. I love to devour their sandwiches and spicy crab fries.  These fries must be patented, because no one else but Chickie's delivers as much taste in one bite. No other fry makes you want to stick a garden hose in your mouth to chase down the awesome, tongue tingling burn :)

If you are looking for good food and Philly sports, you could not go wrong here, just don't come late for dinner. It gets super crowded at about 5. Also gotta enjoy their game room next door where we can all play rock band in any of the private rental alcoves while servers came around and refilled our mugs.  Made us feel right at home!

While I was in town for business, my cousin said that we had to come here to get the truly Philly fan sporting experience since it's located right next to the Philly sports park.

While waiting for her to arrive, I was reading Yelp reviews and realized that the crab fries were a must.  I ended up splitting an order of those and going with the Philly Cheese Steak which turned out to be great as well.

Atmosphere was a little loud since they were launching Corona on tap and this is the first place to serve it in the US.  TVs were also everywhere which made watching any NBA game possible.

Now I am a Pihilly girl..Chickie's and Pete's is just in my blood.

    But this particular location, NO.
It is always packed!  And if you actually want to hear the person next to you, forget it.  Now I get it, all of the locations are loud, but this one takes first prize.  It is obnoxious in there.  But you know, the food is great and the prices are not bad.
Alot of times, sports fans will come here before heading to one of the stadiums so you get alot of young drunks in there.  I can live without that!
But I cannot stress enough, the food is amazing.  Everyone needs to try the Crab Fries and the Tower of Beer!
