Just has an awful experience at this Chili's! I suggested this restaurant to my daughter because I had had a great experience at the Chili's in Wappingers and we were going to be in the Newburgh area.
Total mistake! Everything was filthy, even my daughter's straw which had been in a wrapper. The only thing worse than the service was the food, which was inedible. We ate as much of the greasy appetizer (which came out after the meal) as we could and then left. The manager took care of our bill, which is a good thing because we couldn't even eat our meals.
I went to Chili's in Newburgh quite a few times when it just opened...back in 2008 and 2009!
I absolutely loved this place...always good food and service.
In my opinion this is the best Chili's of the all locations.
However I look at other reviews and I noticed one thing.

They got a few nice reviews earlier and now I get an impression that it is  like a hell hole.
(Again I went there back in 2008 and 2009,,,haven't been there so long so I cannot speak for how it is now).
I find it very unfortunate....looks like they lost a motivation and good management over time.
This place was alright. Â Food is okay/good, depending on what you order. Â Service is only alright. Â We ordered tortilla chips & salsa as an appetizer & it was the worst of both I have ever had. Â The Salsa tasted like heated up jarred italian pasta sauce. Â The tortillas were as thin as paper & SO GREASY you could see little pools of oil sitting on them. Â The smell was grossing us both out so badly we had to ask them to take it away.
Nice atmosphere (though it was freezing in there), but the atmosphere isn't the only reason I go to a restaurant. Â Eh.
This place was just terrible family and I visited this place because we wanted to use a gift card , we sat down and ordered our meals and an appetizer. Appetizer was a mess mozzarella sticks were cold and cheese wasn't gooey. I wasn't sure what to order so I asked the waitress what their speciality was she said a little bit of everything??. Â So I ordered some quesadillas which was just an utter mess. Â Tortillas tasted stale and the lettuce was wilted. Â It was a disgrace.. husband' s burger was ok. Â Their silverware and glasses were filthy. Â Just an absolute horror never again will we visit this place. Â A waste of money ... stay away !
Review Source:Before I trash this place, because that's what it was trash let me say that the service was top notch during my visit. Â My family and I received really exceptional service from our waitress as she was attentive, helpful and really on top of things.
Now the food is another question because it was an utter disaster! Our order of fried cheese (aka, mozzarella sticks) tasted like microwaved frozen food. Â My wife ordered the Nacho Cheese appetizer and it was topped with melted cheese and guacamole which had olives that were dried up appearing as if the entire dish sat in the fridge until it was "heated". Â Appetizers tasted like complete crap (I'm sorry there really is no other way to put it). Â Main courses were below average with my youngest kid's mac & cheese that looked really terrible that I didn't let my kids eat the mac & cheese.
Based on this experience I will NEVER step foot in any Chili's franchise ever again in my life; not even if it were free!
Unfortunately I have to give this local chili's 1 stars. I been to other chili's and this one does not compare at all. I been here twice and order 2 go once. I know have enough evidence to judge and give it this rating.
Okay so The first time here was the week they first open The service was horrible our waitress got our entire order wrong and she was rude. My hubby order the fajitas and it was cold, had onions after we asked for no onions (the hubby is very allergic to onions) & to top it of there only 4 strips of meat on the plate it was just a mess. The manager came out when we returned the food and turns out we didn't have to pay for our dinner that night. I figure I give them the benefit of the doubt and go back some other time, since that was there first week open.
A few months later we return the waitress we had was much nicer and polite this time, but the food was a mess again. The hubby decided to go with the fajita trio again no onions of course and when it comes back the plate full of onions he order extra meat & they barley put meat. I decided to go with the smokehouse jalapeno burger and asked it be well done because I am not a big fan of red in the middle burgers. Yuck the burger comes back and it all raw and gross. I was really upset at this time and didn't even eat my food left it there and went home.
The third time was a to go order and I figure I try ordering like this and maybe the outcome would be different lol but i was wrong. I got a stake this time mashed and veggies just very classic so nothing would go wrong. when my hubby gets home with dinner my order was missing the mashed potato and veggies I figure this chili's just not worth my money anymore.
I honestly would not recommend this place to anyone I know. Don't waste your time and money. Maybe take a drive & got to the chili's in poughkeepsie much better service.
