I read some of the reviews - I'm not sure these people understand - you're reviewing CHILIS. Not some trendy restaurant in Beverly Hills. It's a CHILIS. What do you want besides the world revolving around you?
It's a generic, white bread, chain restaurant with overpriced food and beer. It's not bad, it's not great. It's a place you take your friend who's in town briefly to get a bite before you head to good bars. It's not a place you go to for the ambiance or steak and lobster. Â It is what it is.
I don't eat here a lot. When I do, I'm satisfied.
Absolutely disgusting. They REUSE food!!!! Ordered the mini burgers as part of my appetizer and it was cold, hard, and had previous holes in it from the stick they put in it previously. I would stay far away from this place. There was a reason why I haven't been there in years. There disgusting. I only gave one star because the waiter was nice.
Review Source:Didn't seem to have enough servers for a Sat night?? Our food was cold-ish and seemed like it had been sitting around for a while before we got it (makes sense, since the food took so long to arrive) Large chain restaurants like this generally have mediocre food, so service is what I rate for the most part..but the food was even below standards. This Chilis sucked=/
Review Source:I've been coming here for a couple of years now and I was Until today fully willing to compromise the over priced mediocre inconsistent food for the quick and friendly service and chill atmosphere.. every time i get accustomed to ordering the same salad because i like to have a usual.. they discontinue it.. am i the only one ordering a salad here?!?!.. but since its fast and easy (and i only got 1 hour for lunch) and they have a killer pomegranate drink...i became a regular.. at this location anyway.. Â We arrived 50 minutes ago for a drink.. 42 minutes ago..finally received a waitress who appeared to have just awaken from a long nap and was still fighting the effects of a zanex.. she sullenly and without a single second of eye contact said her name.. tossed our napkins and coasters by me and asked.. "what are ya drinkin tonight?".. that's when i realized it was apparently pirate night.. We Received our drinks(2 our of 3) Â 32 minutes ago..the final, and least complicated henessy & coke, 25 minutes ago.. my long island iced tea had too much long island and not enough iced tea in it.. my friend's margarita tasted like lemon juice and salt.. while my other was forced into disappointment.. as someone forgot to invite the henessy to the party.. Â Chips and salsa made an appearance at the table in front of us.. handed over by the same waitress... 20 minutes ago.. but did not reach us until 12 minutes ago.. (yes.. im very good with memory and im very good with time) Â my friend asked for another drink at that 20 minute mark.. and at the 12 minute mark.. i asked her if she had gotten our order.. she left without responding.. my blood began to boil.. five minutes (and no drink) later.. i asked for the bill and said we had to leave (we had a movie ticket ready down the street) she responded with "are u sure u dont want your last drink.. cus the bartender already made it" i snapped.. and snapped back i did.. "NO.. get my bill.. we need to leave".. she turned and walked away, obviously annoyed.. how dare a customer come to a bar and ask for a drink and the DEMAND it be made in under 10 minutes?!.. as she left i noticed a couple asking the bar tender for a couple of drinks.. to which he responded "i can't take orders.. you have to order from the waitresses not me" UNHEARD OF!.. he immediately turned his attention to the couple even further away and said "so that was TWO jack and cokes?".. i thought he didn't take orders... We arrived 50 minutes ago for a drink.. and we are currently still waiting for the tab we requested 7 minutes ago..
Review Source:Okay so where do I begin??? After having an awful experience at the Chilis in Antioch I decided to use the free gift cards that were sent to me on behalf of the management at another Chilis... UGH!!! Â How can Chilis have a supurb restaurant in Lodi but suck everywhere else?? My husband, My daughter and I went to this Chilis about 4:30 p.m. Not too many people there (hence plenty of seating)... We were sat down, handed menus and waited........ and waited.... until a waitress showed up with water and took our order... I specifically told her NOO tomatos or green onion stuff on my Cajuin Chicken Pasta and I ordered a Midori Martini.. My husband ordered a burger and my daughter had the shrimp and chicken crispers... Okay so basically two 2 for $20s.. So we waited over 20 min for our appetizer before i had to holla at a girl for some chips or something just for her to say " ohhh i think your appetizers might be ready." WTF for real Then our appetizers come out and no bull... 8 min later our entree comes out.. WTFFFFFF!!!!! Our waitress never refilled our water nor sodas , let alone ask me if I wanted another cocktail.. ugh!! Needless to say the ONLY Chilis I will ever visit will be back in LODI...Oh yea to top it off ----- We never got a reciept, a thank you or have a nice day... NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN!!
Review Source:Most people don't drink at lunch during the week. Â I don't either......mostly. Â That's why I usually sit there at lunch because there's always open seating. Â
My husband and I had a rare lunch together and we sat at the bar. Â I did not drink even though my husband was trying to peep pressure me into it. Â He didn't drink either so I don't know why he was being so persistent.
We were the only customers sitting at the bar so the bartender was very attentive. Â
I went with the usual Chicken Enchilada Soup with a Side Salad, no croutons. Â My husband got some kind of Chicken Sandwich item. Â
We were able to talk comfortably and it wasn't to busy or noisy. Â Our lunch together was pretty nice. Pretty nice for being at Chili's without drinking.
The lunch was cut short by a work emergency that my husband had to deal with so I paid and he ran out. Â A short but nice lunch.
I have no complaints for work week eats.
Update: Food still sucks!
But definitely, without a doubt 5 stars for the drinks. Happy hour is reasonably priced and they can make any drink you want.
I love their original coronaritas more than I like La Piñata's original coronarita. You can basically have any drink made you want. It's a full bar (thank God!).
So far, Jess and I ordered a strawberry coronarita. They will tell you that they won't change the flavor of the margarita. Luckily, my girl works there and she always hooks the drinks up!
Depending on the bartender, you can get a hook up on alcohol (my fav is Paradiso tequila over Patron any day!) without asking for an upgrade! Some bartenders will try and 'hook' your drink up making it strong but it will most likely be with Cuervo or some cheap stuff. If you're lucky (Which I am so grateful to be! Thanks Girl!) they will use the good stuff.
The service however at the bar can be a hit or miss depending on the type of night. But either way, you can't not appreciate drinks made anyway you like for a decent price.
I went during happy hour on a Friday! It starts at three and there is no wait. The food is gross but the drinks are great. And the price is great on the happy hour menu. However if your order is not from the happy hour menu there are other deals. 2 meals for $20 or 2 meals, drinks and desert for $30
Review Source:so today we went to chilis and my husband got a bacon burger....he was completely disgusted when half way threw his burger he found a "pube" size hair , he started gagging...totally disgusted i called over the waitress to bring it to her attention. She then called over her manager who then says, "would you like us to make you another bacon burger?" OMFG WAS SHE SERIOUS??? Who the hell would want another anything from there?? So he obviously declines the offer, so she offers to take his meal off and doesnt apologize and just walks away....gross! Never again!
Review Source:I recently went to this Chili's for the first time to have lunch with my best friend. We were seated quickly and got our food pretty quick too. Everything was great until I walked past the kitchen to use the restroom I overheard some waitress complaining about a few of the customers. She was complaining about a family with a "bratty a** kid" and "some picky vegetarian b*tch". Now I'm vegetarian and since there were very little customers there that day I'm guessing she could have been talking about me. This definitely made me feel uncomfortable. I would have given them only 2 stars but I gave them 3 because our waitress was one of the coolest waitresses I've ever had. She came to our table frequently to check on us and was very informative with menu items. She was very easy-going just awesome so we gave her a generous tip. I can't remember her name but if I could I would definitely recommend her.
Review Source:Just browsing through my old Yelp Reviews and noticed that since my review, others have given a one-star rating as well....yet no word from the Chili's management. I am surprised that I have been disciplined enough to not go back to any Chili's since August 2010, esp. since I've been such a loyal customer for all these years. Its almost like breaking up with someone and having them not care!
See my previous review below...
Let me just say that just because tables are empty does not mean that there are enough servers on at that time to serve you. You dont want to wait 15 min for a table but then you are seated and when you have to wait for your server you complain. Unless you have worked in a restaruant before and know how the system works dont say anything about it :) Yes service can be slow but only when the server is busy or the kitchen is busy because trust me they want you in and out just as bad if not more then you. So be a nice customer and understand that you are not the only person in the restaruant
Review Source:As a former bartender I swore I'd never write a review on yelp, this chili's was literally so bad that I created a yelp profile... this THE worst chili's I have ever been to. As a guy that works in restaurants, I know what it's like to have a crappy shift and have those customers that brighten up your day. I attempted to engage in playful banter with the bartender and servers and they ignored me "the ignorant customer" and had a conversation right in front of me like i wasn't there. This could go down as poor customer service but really it's just poor social skills between miserable people. I've been about 5 times since it's so close to my house and each time I swore I'd never go back, 2 times with people that would also give 1 star so that's 3 one stars. The bartender was complaining about taking her kid to the mall to see santa and how much an xbox cost.. bartenders don't make any less than $100 per shift but none of that matters since our problems don't matter, the customers want a happy bartender that smiles and jokes around with us.
Review Source:My wife and I eat at the Chili's on Lone Tree at least once a week but decided today to go to this Chili's. Â BIG mistake. Â Walked in today at approx. 1:30 and the hostess said it would be a 15 minute wait to eat in the dining area which was half full but we could eat in the bar area with no wait. Â I'm thinking this is strange but we grabbed a table in the bar area. Â I've been a member of Chili's club online and they sent me a coupon for a free appetizer which I gave the waitress she read it and looked confused so I told her to ask her manager if she had a question with it. Â I ordered the appetizer and she came back a few minutes later and said I can't use it. Â I have used the coupons Chili's corporate have sent me before at the Lone Tree location without a problem. Â To make a long story short we paid for our sodas and left. Â As frequent Chili's diners I'll follow up with corporate and let them know of the incompetent manager they have at this location.
Review Source:at the time i was there it wasn't busy but it took forever to get refills on water and everything. the server barely came by to help us and was a little stoic when she did. i had to ask what looked like one of the managers for a refill on my drink and she went straight to our server to let her know to be more attentive. my food was alright in taste, i got maybe about 20 fries with my meal and tortilla chips seemed to be dipped in salt about 5 times and the girl got irritated that we didnt want so much salt. and then on our bill we got over charged. so no tip for this girl regardless of the social norms people have about waitresses. TIPS ARE EARNED.
Review Source:Our waitress tonight was Erica. She was fast with our food and drinks and very attentive. At the end of our meal she dropped off a brownie sundae. Before we could say  "I'm sorry, we didn't order this," she explained that she was giving us the dessert "on her" because we were the most polite customers she'd ever had. Thanks again Erica!
I can't understand why the reviews of this restaurant is so low. We've been to this Chili's quite a few times and have always had a great experience.
***This review is based on To-Go service/food only***
Since I have moved to Antioch, I have gone to this Chilis about 3 times. Each time was to-go.
I would say this Chilis is average. Not better than the one in Concord, but not bad, per say. The wait time was about 10-15 minutes, which is normal.
Some of the staff appeared to be super helpful, asking me if I needed anything when they walked by and saw me waiting, and some of the staff didn't really seem to care. The guy who actually took my order and rung me up seemed very rushed, like he didn't have time to take my order. I don't like that very much, but maybe he was busy.
Each time I have gone here I've always gotten the Mini-Big Mouth Bites burgers, which are my fav! The food has always been really good, no complaints there at all. And they always give me honey mustard on the side when I ask for it without a problem.
Overall, I'd say service was average, food was great! I'd definitely go here again, since it's just down the street from my house.
This is one of the worst Chili's restaurants I have been to. First of all, the waitress was extremely slow and only came to the table once after we got our food. Â The food was horrible and they didn't even offer to remake it. The manager wasn't available to talk to us because he was busy, but later saw him talking to a young girl in the bar. Must be more important to flirt with a girl than make your customer happy. and to make things worse, they charged my credit card over $80 and all they can say was oops. I had to wait 20 more minutes to have that fixed. Â This is definitely one of the worst Chilis I have ever been to.
Review Source:Reasonably priced tasty entrees can be offset by slow service.
My family and I eat here about once a month, and have had some great service and some terrible service. It really depends on who is waiting on you, it seems to be very inconsistent.
Apart from that, it can be a good meal at a good price.
I like Chilis and go there often, BUT this location is an exception. We went on a day that was not busy, there were plenty of employees, but they seemed more interested in talking to eachother then tending to the customers. Went there in a good mood, left irritated.
Took forever to get any part of our service, food was wrong, took forever to get someone to correct it. Glasses and silverware were dirty, all around bad  experience, go to the one on Lone Tree Way for a much better experience.
We went here recently for the 2 for $20.00 last weekend. We were in the area and the deal lured us in since it offered 3 course meal for 2 people. After a morning of Go-Karting and Batting Cages, we worked up an appetite. When we perused the Menu, there were a lot of choices for appetizers, entrees, and a couple of choices for desserts. We had ordered the Queso dip to start off with as an appetizer. I ordered a Buffalo Ranch Chicken Sandwich, and my wife ordered the Chicken Quesadilla. The lil' one ordered a Kids Grilled Chicken sandwich with corn. We finished off with a Volcano Lava cake for dessert. The deal was spot on and the bill was shy over $30.00 and some change. They did ding us on a side of Guac. for $.99 but overall a good price value especially in these tough times. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the service was okay and the food came out quickly with drink refills without being prompted. Here are a few of the items you can order on the menu for the 2 for $20.00 special:
Bottomless Chips and Salsa, Nachos, Queso and chips.
Half rack of Baby Back Ribs, Old-timer with Cheese, The Big Mouth Mini-burgers, Turkey Sandwich, Chicken Fried Steak, and Cajun Chicken Fettuccine.
Lava Volcano Cake is the only dessert I noticed but all the entrees also come with their stand sides.
i had lunch here today.
the chicken ranch sandwich. it was great.
perfectly spiced, tender and generous portions
the service was great, better than almost any place i have ever been.
the bad is that the the seating is very cramped and this place is very noisy
there is something wrong with the insulation or the way it was built that allows every little sound to travel and seems to even be amplified.
i might consider going back for takeout, i do not see myself eating in again
Ew. I decided to give Chili's a try since I heard they are jumping in on the whole 2 people eat for $20 idea. Applebee's has them BEAT! Even though Chili's does include a dessert while Applebee's does not- the food quality wasn't even close. We had the 8 nacho appetizer, the Quesdilla Explosion salad, the Chicken Tender tacos and the chocolate chip lava cake. 8 nacho appetizer was alright, the Quesadilla Explosion salad was disgusting. Absolutely gross. The chicken tasted like it had been marinated in vinegar (and only vinegar) the salad was bland and all the vegetables tasted like they had come out of a can. The Chicken Tender tacos were just as bad. They were basically inedible due to dryness. No sauce whatsoever. Just a chicken tender and some lettuce wrapped in a flour tortilla. Awful. The only item that was anywhere near good was the dessert, and clocking in at 2000 calories for such a small serving- no thanks. I'd rather pay the extra $10 or so and eat at Applebee's. On top of the grossness- it took them absolutely forever to serve us (during happy hour and we were there over an hour). They took our dessert to another table, before finally dropping it off to us, and they gave us the wrong check. Ew, once again, Ew. I would not recommend this place to ANYONE.
Review Source:Ok so this awesome review is specifically because of the kick a$$ waitress that helped us while we were there.
My boyfriend and I decided to go to Chili's last minute, mainly because we wanted alcohol AND good food at 9:30 pm. We walk in and decide to sit in the bar so we can watch the baseball game and not have to wait for drinks. It wasn't busy, and we were able to get a booth in the corner. We had to wipe it a little, but that's mainly due to poor attention by the bus boys. Not a big deal.
Now let me explain something about eating in the bar area, it's a gamble on what service you're going to get. Sometimes if it's busy, the bartender/waitress/waiter won't pay much attention and will forget about you. Not this nite. I don't want to use a specific name, but our waitress was on it!! Her name starts with an "M" and she's the bomb. We didn't know what we wanted, so we asked for waters while we decided, and SHE offered us lemon's with our waters. What a great start!! She checked on us just enough, and when we were ready she didn't have to write anything down, and brought us our drinks promptly. We asked if she would change the channel on one of the TV's so we could watch the game we wanted in our view, and she did. She later apologized because some other guys had been watching the first game that had been on and they asked her to change it back, and we were totally fine with that. We were still able to watch the game in another view. No biggie.
She was ALWAYS smiling, super nice, brought us what we needed when we needed it, brought us an extra plate of toppings for our fajitas, and made sure we had plenty of tortillas. She was just amazing.
My bf and I discussed how the restaurant probably has meetings talking about how to offer ad-on's and get people to order extra things and what it takes to be successful in these hard times, and how she just embraced those methods, and how we loved every minute of it.
We've had some horrible service before, even at a Chili's before, but this experience was so pleasurable and impressive that I couldn't not share the experience.
Our waitress was fantastic, her name starts with an M and ends with an A. She's the best. Thanks Chili's.
UPDATE: Â my review was pulled due to "personal attacks". Â In my previous review, call the phone order taker girl some pretty horrible names but its not like I used her real name or employee ID number. Â If my review is based on bad service, why cant I be mad at the one who did it and write about them anonymously in a review?
here's a revised version:
Ok, we went to Chilis last night. We ended up just ordering ahead and taking it home since it was pretty late. They have this burger called the Oldtimer. It's pretty much perfect because it comes with mustard specifically. no mayo, just mustard, lettuce, tomato, pickle and onion. I ordered the old timer and asked to add cheese and bacon. Then SOMEONE Â on the phone says "oh, so you want the Bacon Burger" .. uhm, NO... I want the Oldtimer with cheese and bacon. I told PERSON ON THE PHONE I like the Oldtimer because it doesnt have mayo and it just comes with mustard and all the stuff I like, I just want to add bacon and cheese.
PERSON ON THE PHONE takes my name for the order, I say "Kirk, (and spell it out) Â K I R K" (because people always think its curt). PERSON ON THE PHONE repeats it back to me, Â "kirk? ok that'll be about 15 mins"
Then I get there and SOMEONE ELSE is there to get my food. HE/SHE brings up my order in the computer and reads it back to me. "ok you had the Eggrolls, quesadilla salad and a Bacon Burger" Out of habit I blankly say "yea" then I realised he said "Bacon Burger" Â "STATEMENT OF DISPLEASURE TOWARDS THE PERSON WHO TOOK MY PHONE ORDER BECAUSE THEY CLEARLY IGNORED ME"
I tell the SOMEONE ELSE as HE/SHE is walking to the kitchen that I ordered an Oldtimer with bacon... HE/SHE gives me this look like he's thinking, 'that's a bacon burger'. Then I have to tell HE/SHE why I like the Oldtimer, which I already had done with the (EXPLETIVE DELETED) on the phone. HE/SHE tells the cook who had just started making it and it comes out good. But seriously, don't tell me what I want. I didn't order a Bacon Burger with no mayo, add mustard and onions because its easier to say "Oldtimer with cheese and bacon".
So, then I get my reciept and what does it say? 'KURT' what the fuck people? I even spelled it out for you. I hope ( INSERT WISHES OF BAD THINGS UPON PERSON WHO TOOK MY ORDER. BUT I MEAN IT IN A HYPOTHETICAL AND NON-PERSONAL WAY) .
They didn't even give us forks or napkins. I hate that place.
I would say this place is better than the one in concord. Not better than the one in Lone Tree Way.
Chili's overall is a good place to eat. I have been to mom and pop places and sometimes their food is hit or miss. People ride the bandwagon when it comes to the quality that comes out of big chain restaurants. But I honestly enjoy their food. Baby back ribs, cajun ribeye, country fried steak, nachos, strawberry lemonade etc.
So yeah
