I got food poisoning here. I'm talking days in agony and missing work because I couldn't be more than 5 feet from a toilet. I nearly landed in the ER due to dehydration. The worst weekend of my entire life, healthwise. Never ever returning to another Chipotle and I hope other people think twice too. That naked burrito cost me a lot more than 7 bucks.
Review Source:If most other Chipotles are 5 stars, I give this one a 3!
I love love love my Chipotle and come to *this* specific location almost every week, mainly for convenience.
You can't go too wrong with a regular burrito bowl, but I'm sad to say my experience has gone downhill with every visit.
For one, unless it's rush hour, your burrito's going to take a few minutes. During the lunch rush, you're in and out, and they make your burritos like speed demons! Otherwise, they'll just take their time and peruse. Guys, I'm still on my lunch break, even if it is at 1:30 p.m.! ):
Secondly, their chicken. Chicken is a no go. They must induce those babies with sodium because it's so much more salty than the ones I'm used to! And when I ask for tomato salsa, they load it UP, so it's super drenched in tomato water (eep).
And finally, today was the day that had me write the Yelp review. As my burrito is being tossed down the line, salad is the last thing to get on my burrito. I see someone pick up a dirty rag, wipe down the counter top, use those same gloves/hands to put lettuce in my bowl. Eep! That was not fun to witness, nor was my burrito fun to eat considering where else those gloves have been.
Chipotle, I love you guys. But this location specifically needs some sort of "check-in" or something. Come in as a "disguised" individual and see for yourself. It's a joke.
The worst experience I've ever had with Chipotle. I usually go for Qdoba but it is Sunday night as they close early at 8pm. So instead I tried the Chipotle store on north Michigan. I ordered a steak burrito and I had to stand and wait for 5min as the cashier was flirting with the man before me, exchanging phone numbers. Â The disgusting part started when I got home and took bites on the burrito. The so called "steak" was half-cooked and half of which were skins and tissues other than meat. I did not even finish the burrito. This has never happened on my steak burritos from Qdoba. Also they don't have wheat tortilla. But comparing to the "steak," that became minor. Rice was also undercooked.
