The Cinefamily

We came here for the Turtle Power Pizza Party and the event was great! They had pizza for everyone and eye bands in purple, blue, orange, and red. Plus a photo booth. You could tell they had gone all out and that the staff loves what they do.

Parking is a pain, unless you want to park in the lot and pay (it's not much to do so: $3). Also: the seats in the theater are a bit crowded and don't have cup holders. The bathrooms are only single stalls, which is another bummer. But overall this place is great!

Okay, so you can bring in your own food and drinks AND they have an ice cream/treat bar and shitty popcorn to boot?!  Last night I took my boyfriend on a date to The Cinefamily to see "A Band Called Death"  (If you haven't seen it already, I highly recommend watching).  I found street parking a block up for free very easily with lots of spots still open, and I saw that the lot across the street from the theatre was only $3 anyway.  The place itself is cute as hell, with silent film stars all over the walls and an old school popcorn stand.  The volunteers all seem nice and passionate about the movies they show.  The theatre has multiple rows of leather couches so if you get there early and see one, snag it!  Soo comfortable!  I think I might have to get myself a year-long membership because the previews for the upcoming films they'll be showing all look awesome!  And I see they rent out the place for events...I may have to plan my birthday party there!  Don't worry, you're all invited.

Great place to see films shown by people who truly love them. Look for Goldstar tickets to save some money if you are not a member.

Only complaint - uncomfortable chairs, though they're working on that.
