Fancy little speakeasy type bar hidden behind a nonassuming little black door on La Cienega.
Try the Tijuana Brass - it's interesting. Â
I went on a Saturday night and it had a pleasant amount of people but didn't get too packed. Â The bartenders told us it was a really slow night though. Â
Interesting crowd... definitely some Weho cougars out on the prowl.
We stopped in here after dinner in LA one night for a cocktail. Â It was me, my boss, and a few Japanese executives who were visiting on a business trip. Â The cocktails here were excellent - really well made with fresh ingredients and lots of imaginitive combinations. Â I also liked that it felt like a speakeasy - hidden and off the main street. Â The crowd was cool too. Â Definitely worth a visit if you are craving a top notch drink without an insane price.
Review Source:What a hidden treasure! We visited here one night before our show and had a blast. The bar is very tiny which adds to the atmosphere. The drinks really stand out! I don't normally like drinks from bar menus: I find them to be fruity concoctions that mask the taste of alcohol. No worries with The Roger Room. First, they have a great selection of top shelf alcohol. I told the bartender what I liked in a drink (Demerara rum, lime, ginger, nothing sweet) and he sure delivered a tasty libation. My husband and our friends all ordered drinks off the menu, which I tasted, and they were equally great. I remember my husband had a whiskey sour and you could actually taste the whiskey.
If you like the taste of alcohol and want to get away from the hipsters, this the bar to visit. I just wish we lived closer.
