Where to begin... This club is horrendous! It looks big on the outside but the layout of the place makes it look small. So they have two main sections. As soon as you enter you walk into the bar/cumbia music area... Which mainly consists of the middle aged people. You won't see a whole lot of younger folks just because they do have a bar and the security will card you. But if you want more up to date music (top 40's, rap, dance) then you have to walk to the back room. Which I find is a pain to get to because you have to push through all those people swinging each other around, shuffling their feets like there is no tomorrow. They should have some sort of clear walk way to the other room. But like I was saying, the back room is mainly for teenie boppers and dirty dirty old men. So ladies please do yourself a favor and watch your back!
I have gone to this place four or five times just because my friends wanted to go (horrible selection!). The last time I was there I was attacked with a swarm of nasty, sweaty, short men. I started off dancing with one guy... one turned to two... two turned to three... Before I know it I am surrounded and I obviously called for help because I could not break free on my own. It was like kind of like being mobbed by a group of psychotic apes. It was not fun at all! And to make matters worse, they always have fights on the dance floor. Its ridiculous! People should leave their petty issues at home and just dance! I mean, it is a club and that's what you are primarily there for.
This place that people call a "club" is completely ghetto and disgusting. There are guys stuck to the wall watching girls dance and there is barely any places to sit. The security doesn't do their job because they take forever to break up fights and help when you need them to. Spend your hard earned $20 bucks elsewhere because it simply isn't worth it.

On July 4, 2010, there was a minor of 15 years old harrassed by the Club Barcelona/ Paladium employees, one adult (employee of the club) struck/assulted the minor, instantly flying two front teeth out of minors mouth, this last week 9/17/10 his 3rd tooth didn't make it. Was there anyone there to witness this if so please help find this employee of the club. Bay Area Protection Agency has not been helpful, they work for the club as well, since this WILL be a liability and felony charges, they have lied to the police and have not told the truth, Sunnyvale district attorney dropped the case due to thier lies, we need justice and the truth! PLEASE PLEASE there were a group of young ladies that did see this they were parked and witnessed it, then they fled the scene ( I don't blame them). Please help and unveil the truth. Please. Thank you!

Well it had been about five years since I been to this club and I couldn't remember why it had been so long since I enjoy Spanish music. Well now I remember, when  a group of friends and I arrived at 10pm with our free tickets to a rock concert last week. The deadline to get in free was at 10:30pm but It took about an hour for the line to begin moving and at this point  the crowd ahead of us began to complain they had arrived really early to get in on time but the doors were open near the deadline so almost everyone who had free tickets would now have to pay $40.Needless to say we also decided to leave because  we felt something shady was going on. Then I suddenly  remembered the reason why I hadn't  come to this club in so long. Many years ago I brought a date and it happened to be ladies night, I slipped the cashier a $20 dollar bill to pay for my entrance, when she refused to give me my $10 change back . i told her it was ladies night  and she shouldn't  charge me for my date, she simply looked at me and shrugged her shoulders. At that point, I decided not to make a scene but i vowed never  to come and patronize this place ever again.
Normally I wouldn't have mind to pay to get in and I probably would have spent some decent money since i had my girl with me and I wanted my friends to have a good time listening to their favorite rock band  but at that point it wasn't  about the money it was about the principal

The only reason I came to this place is for the Enanos, no other reason to come here.
Crowd: They have the under 21 crowd seperated by a plastic glass type in the middle of the club, I personaly don't mind the younger crowd, I actually felt bad for the little suckers!
Price: they overcharge for liquor.

this is like cholo/lil freshmen paradise. for real. theres always a fight at this club. everywhere..in the bathrooms, in the hall ways , in and outside the clubs in the dancefloor. damn...ppl just go to this club to start funk wit everybody instead of dancing. I remember one time i went some grl was gettin raped in the parkin lot! helllla crazy! she ran out of the car n got lost somewhere. yup thats how fkn ghetto this place is. I will never ever go back there again. it pisses me off how the best artists n singers end up performing at this club. ughhh.
Lets talk about ghetto.... major time ghetto! Â So this place was the bomb like 7 years ago! Â They played all the fun 80's and 90's rock en espan... and who knows what happened! Â Not only is the music terrible all they ever play is reggeton which again it ghetto but the decor it ridiculous! Â Talk about bright green palm trees.... come on. Â To be honest they need to hire a professional to do the decor all over again.
I do give them credit when they bring old Spanish rock bands from the 80's and 90's other than that take the drive to Mountain view and hit Alberto's they have it together!
I agree with the majority of the other reviews, this place is absolute CRAP. I went here when it was still the monaco a few years back and it wasn't so bad (I don't recall being thrilled either). But now... First off, they make you wait in line for hours, why? Because before 10:30pm it's a discounted price (free with a ticket) so they just won't let you in. They let in a person every 20 minutes, it's RIDICULOUS. Even more so because we were on the guest list so we weren't going to pay anyway, yet we had to wait in line. It took us about an hour and a half to get through. Once at the door the manager said we weren't on the list and tried to charge us a $35 cover (HE** NO!) and finally one of the bouncers came over and found our names on the list (surprise surprise), then she tried to say 2 of us were the same person because we share the same first name and the fact that we had 2 different ID's and were both in front of her face didn't faze her. Basically we had to argue to get in free cuz the manager is CHEAP. THEN once inside it was cheap decor (NOT worth $35) and crappy seats. And like mentioned previously staff is rude. AND they tried to give us a bucket of beer with some of the beer cans already open... NO THANK YOU. If you notice the good reviews of this crap hole are by teenagers, they probably favor it because they can GET IN, but if you're over 21 (any age in my point of view but...) DO NOT GO HERE!!! STAY OUT!!!! do yourself a favor...

This use to be my vote for worst club in the bay but that title now belongs to Gossip Lounge in San Mateo.
Stuck up girls giving you dirty looks for asking them to dance (even the fat ugly ones).
18 and up room is beyond crowded but its the room with the best music (spanish music kept to a mininum)
Other 2 rooms can get crowded too but the music is nothing special. This is also where most of the broads here get full of themselves (like I said, even the fat ugly ones).
Avoid this place at all cost, just head down to San Jose where the clubs are just as bad but atleast you won't be stuck in Sunnyvale with these people.
DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!( If you have respect for yourself) It as horrible!!! Â Everyine is too crammed together meaning, so the hundred of perverts can grab you and touch!!! It was like being molested over and over and over.!!!! There were people (clearly underage) on the wall basically doing what you shouldn't do in public and the "security" watching. Horrible place to waste $20 !!!
Review Source:Last weekend was the first time attending this club.The truth is  the only reason i was there was to see Pitbull who rocked the show! and i got the tickets for free but everything aside Pitbull's performance fucken sucked!!! Security having a bad reputation for being dick's were actually being cool that night i admit. now to the bad parts on this club:The bartenders were really rude!when i first went to the bar there was only 3 other people there who were only standing at the bar not ordering anything,i stood there for 10 minutes till finally one of those assholes took my order but by the look on his face he didn't look to happy to help me.(a bit of advice to you bartenders:SERVICE WITH A SMILE,THAT'S HOW THE TIPS COME TO YOU PUNKS!!!)So i get my drinks and they are about the size of my middle finger and they barley put any alcohol in them!
Everyone there was pretty much rude,nobody moves out of your way even if you ask nicely,the service sucks!I will never go back and give my hard earned money on these rude people who don't know how to please their customers!!!!!!
It's like T.J. in Sunnyvale - this place used to actually be horrible when they had that eyesore of a wall across the middle of the club. Â Not to mention the pain from crashing against it during all of the concerts.
I was just at the Molotov show a few days ago and the wall is now gone. It opened the floor up and now you can watch shows from pretty much any angle you want. Â
Good music, good service, good prices, and best of all, good drinks.
