Club Illusions

I am never going to host an event here ever again. Actually, this whole experience makes me never want to host events at clubs/bars again.

Did I mention this was a fundraiser for a non-profit? The general manager gave me a discount on the facility rental space because it was a fundraiser for a great cause, but the contract stated that as long as guests spent a total of $1500 at the bar for the whole night, I would get my deposit back.

I not only didn't get my deposit back, he insisted I had to pay more. This made no sense to me, considering I had a good number of people who were drinking a lot. I later discovered the bartender had been giving free drinks a lot, not charging people's cards, clearly not being honest with the tabs. That makes no sense to me; you'll get money regardless, I would appreciate it if my guests were the ones making sure your bar sales went up, not me who is doing this out of pocket to raise money for a non-profit.

I also had complaints from my lady friends that the bartender was being overly and aggressively flirtatious with them throughout the night, making them feel very uncomfortable. This is incredibly unprofessional.

There was also a huge mix up with what time the event would start. I had planned it for earlier, meaning my DJ and set up crew showed up on time, only to find out that the contract was not revised to what we had agreed on and they didn't let us in until two hours later. That's two hours of lost drink-buying time that could've definitely gone to this bar sale requirement.

One star is for the very friendly security guy who made sure guests who came in were paying the cover, proceeds which went to my non-profit. Too bad his bosses were shady as hell.

Do not host an event here.

I bought my tickets online at <a href="/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2Fdesiclub.com&s=574601770c1dd9446346fe7deb63acc08fd5f9e10128b1a3afa4f93cd00fc639" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://desiclub.com</a> when i got to the club I told them that I dont have a ticket and then gave my will call name for them to look up. Instead of doing that I was asked to purchase another ticket which would have cost $20 per person at the club and online it was less than half the price. I literally had to call my bank there and then because I hate getting ripped off and I was told that my card has already being charged. When i went to tell the employee with my bank on line the girl who I was told later worked for the organizer Instant Karma was so rude, but all of a sudden they were able to find my three tickets purchased.
To top it of I even got a chance to talk to Bhavani who is the organizer as far as she was concerned she didnt care to listen to my whole story.
There is no excuse for rudeness so people dont waste your money - paying to go to a club or event that treats bad.

Wow!  We had our Whole Foods Market holiday party there last Tuesday night and were so happy that we chose Club Illusions.  From the first phone call with the Club Manager, we were not only treated well, but delighted!  Ask for Ulysses, he'll take great care of you!  From helping to plan out the major and minor details of the party...to offering up his decorating skills...we were never unsatisfied.  The food was delicious (Peruvian Grill!) and the music/bar choices were perfect!  

My Team Members all cannot stop talking about this year's Holiday Party and I believe it's all because of this venue!  

Thank you Club Illusions!!!  We'll see you next year!
