If you love a New York neighborhood bar you will love the Tee Gee. Darts, jukebox, booths and whiskey perfect. Worst thing about the place no sign to tell you it's cash only ANNOYING. Best thing the bartender Johnny from England I think, super cool guy who made me the best Manhattan I've had in a while.
Review Source:Another untouched bar in L.A. and a must visit. The inside is just nostalgic of the old days (70's?) and is a nice break from all the new stuff in downtown (e.g. bars around Staples, Nokia, etc.). Came here on a bike ride with Sins and Sprockets and it was dead and the bartender was itching to get off work and almost lost his shit when he saw 45 people walk in at one time. Yessir!
Review Source:I was here randomly here last Saturday and I LOVED IT!
Why??? Â IDK!
This is a TOTAL DIVE BAR, but I really liked it,
The bartender BOB was cool, the drinks are good and cheap, I can ear what people are saying. I don't have to scream every time I talk, so that's a plus.
As soon as we walked in, it reminded me of an old hotel bar, and it smelled, but I didn't mind at all.
Will I be back? YES.
