I really enjoyed this bar.I usually hit up Goat, but I wanted a change of scenery that wasn't all weirdo trash.  It's really nice, clean, service was what you'd expect from a bar.I liked that you could go in or outside too. Lots of TV's and there are even TV's at the booths. I made it in just before cover was charged since there was a fight on that night. I'd definitely go back.

Relaxed vibe. Definitely a large sports bar. Not a big menu. Entree selection isn't great. Come for the burgers. Fair prices.

Want a local sports bar? This place is it. Nothing fancy, the food is decent, they are slightly under staffed but what do you expect from a local joint? The hot wing sauce is the best thing about this place.

Service is pretty bad here. I've been a few times and every time it is super slow and orders have not always been accurate. That said, it is a pretty good place to watch sports so if you don't mind the service issues then you can enjoy a personal tv at your booth and the large screens along the wall and around the bar.

Also, they have $3 Long Islands on happy hour so if you are looking to get trashed for cheap (or your team is blowing it like mine did last time and you need to drink the pain away), there ya go.

I love this place.  Its close to our house, the bartenders are amazeballs and the chicken & steak fajitas are delish.  Its a great sport atmosphere.   Watching the kings playoffs was a ton of fun there.

I see a lot of people giving it bad reviews but I've never had ANY problems here and the food is always good.

Typical sports bar.  Beer and greasy food, lots of TVs, and some pool tables.  The inside is spacious, but the parking lot is tiny.  I can never find parking, which often deters me from coming.

I think this is a good spot to watch games as it is spacious and prices aren't outrageous. There is patio seating but it is quite limited. They have huge projection screen TV's and High Def TV's. The food is just OK, nothing special that I can remember and the servers get really bogged down when it gets busy. Other than that I think it is worth checking out, as the staff is friendly and the atmosphere is usually good.

This Corner Office bar is not as cool as it could or should be, but then I guess most Corner Offices at work aren't either. In a word, it is "unspectacular" ... kind of like Al Gore as a dancer or George W. Bush as a leader.

I was staying nearby (like next door) and stopped in the Corner Office for a quick beer and to catch some sports on the tube. The big bar in the middle was the hub with small pockets of people and a few others at some tables by the pool tables. It was notably quiet for a sports bar, but especially for one this large. There were major sections just empty, dark, with the TVs turned off.

The bartender was sweet and friendly. She convinced me to get a 22 oz (large) Newcastle and the Irish Nachos appetizer. The beer was cold and refreshing. Perfect after a day at work (even if it wasn't in a Corner Office). The Irish Nachos are basically Cheese Waffle Fries with Sour Cream and a Meat (kind of a mystery which one). I added some Jalapenos for some heat. Like the bar, the Irish Nachos weren't spectacular.

Happy Hour is 5-7 on weekdays. Parking is free. If you work nearby or are staying at the Costa Mesa Marriott, then this might be a decent option after work. It's totally not a dive, but it isn't a destination bar, either.

Corner Office is something you aspire to at work, but not as a sports bar unless you're looking for something pretty unspectacular.

Pro: beer selection, PERSONAL TVs for each booth, specious, good atmosphere.
Cons: parking is limited on a busy night, the service is bad. So slow. Which is a big turn-off. Faster to order food & drinks from the bar... unless you don't mind waiting 30 min just for a waitress to come by.

Went here to catch some college football. Typical sports bar. Good amount of TVs, enough that I could ask to have one of them switched to the game I wanted.

Service is OK. Did have to wait a while to get served initially, but staff was attentive after that. Food is typical sports bar food, nothing spectacular. I had the jalapeno burger with garlic fries. Good beer selection.

    It's a sports bar.
Really close to a bunch of office buildings.
    It's in Costa Mesa.

Before you go here - lower your standards. Did you hear me? Lower your standards and expectations... No, much lower than that.

It's a sports bar. There are going to be a lot of guys. Some unsavory, some business men, some really unsavory, some students, some tall, some short, some fat, some skinny. A lot of guys, lots of them. This is NOT the bar to be picking up women at...

It's huge, unrightfully so. It seems out of place large, at least for the limited amount of parking they have available.

It smells, it's dirty, the food is terrible, and the clientele is a lot of the same.

The cocktail waitresses are either really good or really bad, there is no in between with them. So pray you get a good one.

Pros? They have pool tables, lots of big screens, and Golden Tee (if you're into that. And if you ARE into that, please keep walking to the machine and don't bother to stop by our table.)

So, if you're desperately looking for a drink and want to watch the game, this is the place to go. It's also great for large groups because you have room to sprawl out, and no one cares how loud you get.

I've clocked in at the office several times and a few themes continue to emerge. First off, the parking is retched during busy times which is ironic considering how spacious the bar is. There are lots of flat screens around the entire place so you are never out of luck when you want to watch a game. The excess of televisions and NFL Sunday Ticket make the corner office a nice stop on Sundays unless you have something against degenerate gamblers and grown men wearing football jerseys.

How about the food and booze? Well, the service can get kind of spotty depending on who your bartender is. When I first started coming here I thought the bartenders were freezing me out because of my good looks but it was merely the aforementioned spotty service. I've learned to just accept the waiting as part of the experience. In spite of the service issues, the bartenders have all been very very kind here. The food is your typical bar food, nothing to write home about. I have pretty low standards for my bar food, all I need from it is to taste good when I'm a bit shibfaced and to not get me sick. Corner office gets it done. I agree with previous reviews about the happy hour...it's not that great of a deal.

Overall, I dig the office. I just wouldn't want to come here when it's busy since it takes the same amount of time to get a drink as it does to find a parking spot.

Typical big ass sports bar. Lots of TVs of course, and is why I ended up here for a Kings hockey playoff game. Not my idea, as my buddies law firm is in walking distance. We were looking for a convenient place for several of us to meet and I reluctantly agreed.

First off, no parking when I arrived. Damn it! I was aware of the structure behind Pizzeria Ortica and made a beeline there as the game had already started. A very professional looking suited-up attendant met me at the entrance and asked me where I was going. Wow, they really screen their patrons for this half empty structure? Again, I'm in a hurry so I just blurted out Pizzeria Ortica and quietly hoped I wouldn't be charged $20 or some other outrageous sum, but at this point I didn't care and rolled the dice.

So far not going well eh? After my 2 block jog I enter to a full to capacity madhouse, but luckily my lawyer bud had secured us a perfect table. As in some of the other reviews the service here can be extremely lacking. We lucked out with our server, Dylan. Nice cheery kid, and the only holdups were from the overworked btender, and that he had to wait his turn in ringing up the tab as he was sharing a terminal with all of the other floor service ppl. He even gave me my last beer gratis for the long tab wait.

As one of my friends commented, you never hear any buzz about the CO. No one that we know ever says, "hey lets meet at the Corner Office." Just an out of the way off the radar location. I guess they survive on the local office folks and the nearby hotel patrons. I have stopped here in the past on a weekend day and it was near empty every time. Nothing bad, nothing great either. Just another basic sports bar, which I am not a fan of anyway. To me that just means bad food and lots of dudes.

So yep, 2 stars = Meh. I've experienced better. Couldn't have said it better myself.

And oh yeah, my parking sitch worked out not too badly. Different attendant this time. Asked me if I got a validation from Pizzeria Ortica, and I told him I forgot to ask. He paused, then said "I will give you a special price." Paid the man his requested $8 and was on my way.  Lesson for the day.....lying can sometimes have its rewards.

I don't get the 2.5 stars!  This place is a cool place to chill!  Open seating area, huge flat screens with sports, cheap HH drinks and appetizers.  We had potato wedges, nachos, quesadillas, spinach artichoke dip and alqui.  Service was great - we sat in a booth, and it's walking distance from my place (in case I wana stumble back while intoxicated), I mean what's there not to like about this place?!?!  Oh, I do recall someone complaining about the salad being bad ... Whatever, dude, it's a BAR!!!  Who orders salad at a bar???  Go to Souplantation!  If you complain about salad freshness there, they're more likely to care!

I tend to visit this place quite frequently and EVERY time I do, I kick myself for thinking it will get better.

It's just a mile away from where I live, so it's so convenient. I've always loved this place for Lakers playoff or football Sundays. Super casual, large open area with enough room to stand around if all the tables are taken.

My issue with this place is their service. You can be standing there with your card or cash in your hand and they'll walk by you at least 874654672165876 before anyone even acknowledges you. I'm talking specifically about the Asian bartender there. Guy or girl, she'll ignore you for a good 5-10 minutes before finally taking your drink order. I've honestly contemplated ordering 3+ drinks for myself knowing that after i guzzled the first I'll have to wait another decade for another one. If you're friends with any of the bartenders then you'll definitely get quick service but be prepared to wait if you're not.

Another thing about this place is the cleanliness. My friend sucked up a fly from his drink. Not sure if it was in the straw or in the drink but it wasn't pleasant regardless. The male bartender was nice enough to replace his drink. But I'm sorry i like my protein in the form of a steak or burger.

If they could have at least ONE more bartender on duty then I'll add on another two stars.

Until then, it's Garf's down the street for me.

Good happy hour. Decent food. Good beer selection.

Great place to watch a game or hangout with friends.

They are always understaffed. Seems like it takes forever to get a drink. If this ONE thing would get better, the rating would go to a 4-star.

It is so damn close to my office that it doesn't make sense to go anywhere else.

I've been here twice before for a beer or 10 but never for Football on a Sunday. Place was packed. WAY understaffed. I most definitely would have found better food in their trash cans than what they actually served me.
I did however enjoy my subsequent "cleansing" from the soap that was in one of my beers. Cha Cha Cha !!!
If you enjoy being stared at by "thugs" and their families wearing 49ers, Raiders or Cowboys jerseys, then this my Yelp friends is your place.
They need to close for a week and clean and sterilize this dump. It's so gross, I think I got cooties from the waitress.

They have KONA beer on tap, delicious!  A lot of different shapes and colors frequent this spot. Use to go there a lot for Lakers games and even watch a few "pay per view" boxing matches here. They charge 20 bones cover for those nights though. Anyways, it's just a chill place to  shoot the crapper with friends, so no need to rock your fancy pants swag and don't expect five star sevirce. The service isn't bad here though, we always been treated well.  They have plenty of different beers on tap and the food menu isn't bad, we usually order the pizza. Oh did I mention they have Kona on tap, Shaka bra!

8-18.11- Went there last night and they no longer have Kona on tap, so sad. Oh well, still a chill place to hang.

Yes!  Huge TVs to watch your sports and smoking hot females! Still trying to figure out those were real or fake but anyways..  Corner office has won hands down under that category but  why the 3/5 stars???

Service was OK though - Nothing to brag about then again when i went there I wasn't really drinking up. The waiter was pretty straight forward. Simple question simple answer .. I guess?. She was nice though..  Hint: If you want to get a big tip and be recognized you want to make a name for yourself in this business. So get a little friendly, socialize and smile more.

What pissed me off the most is the fact that you pay big bucks for food but you get little amount? What are you trying to prove here? .. $8.00 for 22oz Guinness? seriously?  Drop it down a couple bucks --Too much for my boat but you lucky I like my Guinness. I had one drink and some food that was pretty much it for the night. By the way finger foods doesn't need decoration save yourself sometime...

Parking situation is weird. If you ain't there before 7pm you wont get to park across the street cause the gate is closed. Good luck  trying to find one near the bar.

It's a big place, lots of seating area so you can count on spot to sit - some even have TV's attached to them. That's cool!   Anyways, I don't mind coming back but it could be better.

We ended up here because the TGIF's across the street didn't have the San Jose Sharks game (there was an nba playoff game the same time). I have never heard of this place and the waitress from TGIF's said they'd probably be playing the game (she was right!)

It's your standard sports bar, lots of TVs, a good selection of finger foods and burgers and a full bar.

The domestic beers are $3.75 for a pint and $5.00 for a 22 oz.  they have a couple of happy our specials (i think m-f: 4-7): $ 3.5 long iced tea, "sunday afternoon" ice tea, or a  Captain morgan kamikaze. The week end special is  $3 Busch cans.

Overall, the food and drinks are a little too much for the quality, but not unsatisfying. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed the hot wings and fries and other foods from the sampler platter. I think I would come back if I needed a place that I knew would have the sports game that I wanted to watch.

Sports bars. God, I love 'em. When they rock. Corner Office - you do not land in this category.

I have been here 5+ times. "Why would you go if you hate it?" one might ask. Well, because the people who invite me are pretty damn cool, that's why. And my theory is that your little group of chums can make even the crappiest of places fun, right? I think Corner Office knows this & is trying to disprove my theorem. Here are my reasons why:

    1) Sucky happy hour deals: Thank you for the 25 cent discount on the 16oz draft of Bud Light, buddy. Happy hour deals?? Fail.

    2) Service: What service? We got here 20 minutes ago and all I have are the salt shakers and a dry mouth. *Sad face*

    3) When service shows up: Kind of sketchy. Comes around once every 30 minutes or so (if you stay that long). And I think our waitress was medicated. It was...surreal...

This gets a 1 star because they have tons of TVs. That's about it. A place to sit and a TV. Kind of like home. But more boring.

P.S. Giving 1 star reviews suck. I hope this place gets better for the sake of happy hour goers everywhere!

Huge restaurant with no efficiency. Nobody greeted us as we walked into the establishment. "Ohhh k" I guess this is a seat yourself restaurant. I don't know, I'm an out of towner. As we sat down, we noticed that each booth had it's own personal 10-12" flat screen. I thought that was very cool, until I noticed our TV didn't work. lol. We moved to another booth since.... you know no service, so you can kind of do what you want. No service for another 10 minutes. Not even approached.

My friends and I thought about it. Why didn't we get approached?? And I think my buddy hit it on the nose. He said "We unkowingly stumbled into this reastaurant because it was literally right next door to the Marriot. But you guys didn't realize that we came in here 20 minutes before happy hour was OVER... WOW!! It all makes sense now. They saw a group of males coming in and they assumed we wanted to get wasted for half off or whatever their happy hour deal was. And they said "Forget That", avoid those guys for 15 minutes.LoL. All good. Just a theory and an educated guess. Wont be coming back to this dump. Is that how they do it in Costa Mesa??

    Short Version:

    I would never return here!

I'm of the opinion that the place is a sincere disgrace to the drinking man (and woman), as well as respectable bars who care about their clientele.

    Details:

Sadly, I was invited here in early June for the NBA Finals, and it was a madhouse. I don't even understand why people come to places like this and subject themselves to this terrible service, and utter carelessness by management.

Our table received two different servers - none of which knew what was going on with our orders. We ordered a few pitchers, received only one of them... then she never came back with the other.

We tried "nudging" her - kindly reminding her every time she passed us to no avail. She kept passing by and holding up her index finger, so as to say "I'll be right with you," but she never came back.

We let the manager (who was behind the bar that day) know, and he didn't seem to care.

We literally waited 1.5 hours for our second pitcher. I wish I never even set foot into this place - it was THE ULTIMATE BUZZKILL.

When the waitress finally returned 2hrs later, after the game... she brought back a small pitcher of what was supposed to be the large, claiming that they had run out of that beer. I'm sure it was there 2 hours prior, however.

I don't get off on writing horrible reviews, but if the service, attitude, establishment, and/or management are terrible - I'm happy to warn others not to set foot in the place.

The Corner Office is one of those exceptions. Don't waste your time, and go somewhere where they care about their customers. As for management - don't you care about repeat business?

File this place under "South County Suck Joints that People Who Don't Know Any Better Go To."

I'll actually give this 1.5 stars. The Corner Office is down the street from my boyfriend's apartment so it's easy for drinks during the game or if we're feeling too lazy to go out. His roommate says he's had better than my experience but I'm not so sure I'll be back to see if he's correct.
Let's start with the food..not great. We had the spinach dip and buffalo wings. Just ok.

What did it for me was that while this was a practically empty bar, the bartender was pretty aloof to any customers besides a few buddies she was chatting with. A bit annoying, but I could get over it.

What it didn't really care for is that when I was poured my margarita, the mix was clearly out, so my drink ended up looking like (and actually was) just tequila and water. The bartender slid me the drink, charged me, and as I examined the color and asked if she was sure this was a margarita, she said, "sure, try it". Needless to say it was disgusting, and she realized the mix was out, but I would think a bartender would realize this before serving a drink?

I guess this place is fine for beer and watching the game but stay away from the food and mixed drinks.

I'm so sad that I haven't been back here in so long!!! I love this bar!!!

Patrick and Tracey are GREAT bartenders!!!  Very attentive and knowledgeable, and super friendly. They've never had that "I'm so over this" look on their face- and I love that.

8ish big screen projectors- not sure if they're HD or not... Other flat screens surrounding the bar, and mini tv's on each table for you to watch the game of your choice.

Half the crowd is people who work locally stopping by on their way home, the other half is a kinda young and ghetto....  :(    It's also a Raider bar which kinda bugs me- but hey- whatever.

The food is not bad. My favorite thing BY FAR is the fajitas.

Great place to bring a group of friends or a casual "lets grab a drink" first date.

The great thing about Corner Office is football season. If you go on Sunday, every game of the day is on and if you are lucky, you can score a booth with your own personal tv (no sound though) to watch your team. For the most part the crowd is friendly, although like in any bar with sporting events, there will be a few douchers who try to start a fight from time to time.

The food here is average in my opinion, and not worth the price. Eat at Flame Broiler next door since it's healthier and cheaper, and then come over to drink and watch the games with 22 oz drafts for $5.

The place fills a niche in the area, but that doesn't make it a great place. It's average with average service.

I was told to go to this place by some friends and being the yelper that I am of course I had to see what you guys said.  I still kept an open mind though and when I walked in I was somewhat impressed by how big this place was with the amenities that it had!  A certain employee hooked it up and when I sat down I started to experience first hand why it had mediocre yelp reviews!

    The service.

OK so I don't think it's the waitresses fault.  You can tell she wanted to help, I seriously think they just don't have enough for the amount of people that show up.  I think it's a management thing.  The waitress seemed like she was trying hard to keep up, but you can only expect so much out of someone.  That left us beerless, foodless, napkinless, you name it.  The restaurant doesn't realize that the more servers you have, the more beer you sell!  In my opinion they're shooting themselves in the foot.  Not to mention a lot of people won't go back!

This place is 5 stars for a big Lakers game and 1.6 stars on a normal night.  Tonight is Game 7 of the NBA Finals and this place is going to be ELECTRIC.  It's the closest you can get to feeling like you are inside the STAPLES CENTER without actually being there.

Everything else is pretty average but there is great seating and tons of projection screens and TVs to watch the game.

This place is going to roar tonight.

There is one single reason I come here, it is the sports bar with big screen coverage everywhere....WAHOO!!

Beer selection and stiff drinks are really just average.

And the food is something out of a school cafeteria.  Throw a burger patty or a chicken breast and buns with all the fixins and lets throw in sub standard fries or onion rings.....WALLA.....charge $15 for it!

I have also tried multiple overpriced appetizers and salads which are really nothing to tasty or impressive to write home about.

As for the service, it is lackluster at best. They grab you because alcohol and sports does go hand in hand.

Will I return you ask....not by my choice.....

Honestly....a good decent priced Orange County sports bars are a dying breed.... Anybody....please name one....please let me know.....

    Only Two Yelp Stars.....

I'm really not that mean, honest.

The place was conveniently located 2 minutes away from 24 hour fitness, so we said - sure why not get a drink and ruin the calorie burn.

The place is pretty big with tv screens scattered about. No one really cared to seat us, so we strolled up to one of the waitresses and asked if we could have a seat at one of the booths. Each booth has a little screen that seemingly tricks you into thinking you might be able to watch tv.

    We got:
    -static.
    -more static
    -one channel of hockey

I wasn't too concerned with that considering there were TV's everywhere, including a nice big screen that I could watch the Spurs play in front of me. Somehow between me looking at it and looking where the waitress went, it was turned off.

Being a bar, I expected it to not be your intimate setting, but I had to scream every word it seemed since the music was bumping so loud. I won't even go into the Justin Timberlake and oddity music choices that were playing. My ears were bleeding after that.

What we should've done was actually have known what we wanted because after the waitress asked us initially she disappeared for about a half an hour. No joke. I was pretty close to walking out.

I have no loyalty for this piece of work.

We finally flagged our waitress down, ordered our food and more importantly ordered a drink (because by now I needed one)

Another 15 minutes or so passed by and I wondered if the drinks came with the food. I sure hoped to God they didn't. I could practically walk to the bar from where I sat.

Needless to say I would not come back here. I would not tell my friends to come here. And if I worked there, I'd be embarrassed, if not for the horrible music selection, then for the studded belt this guy was wearing with his regular business clothes. (no joke...he had to be in his 40's...early midlife crisis?)

I walked out of there feeling like trash, because that's essentially what that place was made of.

    THIS PLACE SUCKS!!!!
We went to watch the play offs and it took about 15 minutes to get a $20 pitcher. And 20 minutes to get 2 shots afterward. So i told the bitchy waitress to forget it. And the group in front of us ordered a pitcher and the same waitress never brought out glasses. I watched them for 10 minutes trying to get her attention...nothing... so I went to the bar and got them for the group. They were stoked but also pissed off at the shitty service. Never go here!!! Its a waste of time, money, and space.

A sports bar within 10 minutes of my house that isn't filled with Newport douche-tards?  SCORE!!!

Corner Office is pretty damn awesome for a strip mall bar in the middle of Costa Mesa.  First off, it's HUGE.  Second, there are WAY more TV's than the annoyingly more popular Rudy's Pub in Newport or Mutt Lynch's (where it's pretty much impossible to find a seat on any game day).

Third, it's got a really nicely sized bar area as well as plenty of large group tables and booths with--are you ready for this?--YOUR OWN PERSONAL TV.  Yep folks, you heard it here!  YOUR OWN TV.  (omg!!!!)  Fourth, I ordered the oh-so-non-sports-bar-friendly Chef Salad and was pleasantly surprised that the salad was not only decent, but actually... good!

Here's my final little secret for "all my single ladies, all my single ladies, put cha hands up!"  Ryan Seacrest just said that Sports Bars are the #1 place to meet a man.  Girls, you will not be disappointed with the ratio of men to women here (it's like 10:1).  As a bonus, many guys that stroll in on the weekdays (I came in on a Monday) are the "I just got out of the office" type with collared shirts and dress shoes, and decent pants.  Heck, in this area, it's amazing that the men are even WEARING pants!!!  And you know what else that means?  They PROBABLY have a job.  (Double Score!!!)

Next game day, I highly suggest you low-key dudes and gals check out Corner Office.

No lie- I went in there for a job interview for a waitress position and as I was sitting and talking to the management at the bar, a cockroach strolled past my arm as if IT owned the place. Maybe I should have been talking to it instead for the job.

The owner didn't even flinch! I had a sudden change of heart about applying and got the hell out of there as soon as possible.

This place isn't anything special.  It is good if you like to watch sports but I am not planning on going back anytime soon.  I like that it is close to where I live.

The service pretty much sucks.  We were sitting at a booth and were waiting for a good 20 minutes  The server told us that they stopped serving  the booth area at 10pm.  It was only 9:40 and we had already been there for 20 minutes.  We only wanted one drink so she could have taken our order.

We ended up moving to the bar area and just ordered drinks from the bar. The prices aren't too bad so that is one thing Corner Office has going for it.

To me the corner office is the Sports Bar for techies.

It's in an office park location, where I am sure many cubicle dwellers blow off some steam after hours. The bar itself is very big and very nice, Really high celilings probably add to the vast feeling when walking in. All of the fixtures are nice, and the clientale is rather clean cut as you would expect from the neighborhood.

Good Beer selection, decent food selection; I like you can pick a game from your Table, because of the massive amount of TVs.

For example I was trying to catch the my alma mater, (Oklahoma State) on ESPN when the Lakers were on. In most bars it would have been impossible, but with so many screens, I was able to, while the other 99% were on the purple and gold.

Drinks were a little on the expensive end, and I doubt many guys will pull a number from here. Just too much emphasis on the sports, and girls need all the attention they can suck out of you (which isn't nessecarily a bad thing if you think about it ...LOL)

This is the perfect boy's night out place...for Samir, Peter, and Michael Bolton

This is the worst bar I've ever been to. The first 2 times I went there with a group of people and it took forever to get served, the food was cold and the waitress screwed up our order twice!

The last and final time I went I ordered the San Francisco burger and found hair in it.
    Thats enough for me

Don't go here if you're not a true sports fan?  Why?  It's noisy, filled with loud yelling and screaming for the boxer or team of choice, and the food is nothing special.

If you ARE a sports fan, you have to try this place at least once.  They even have flat screen TVs on the edge of each of the tables in the main dining area (booth seats, not the free standing table area).  What?!  TVs at each of the tables?  Throw in the fact that this place has all the huge screens on each of the walls and over the bar, and it becomes probably the best sports bar in all of south Orange County.
