My name is Courtney so I decided to try this place :) The service was great!! I let them know that I was in a hurry and they were right there with me! My food came within 10 minutes and it had a very homey feel. Food was deeelicious. Definitely heading back to try some other dishes that the server talked up! Glad I found this little place :)
Review Source:Okay, so I want to start by saying that I really love to eat local, and finding this place was like seemed super fantastic awesome, especially since they have tenderloin.
I have been twice now. The tenderloin is good. Its thin, but its hand breaded and has a decent taste. Their fries are pretty good too. (Fresh/hand-cut)
I knocked two stars off because of the frozen food.
I like to dine places that do simple things well. I am not super picky about what I eat, but what I eat should be good and fresh. They served us frozen fried mushrooms (at 6.95) that were absolutely gross, and my boyfriend had ordered the fish and chips, and when it came out, sure enough it was frozen fish. It had a bad aftertaste.
I feel like if you are going to have a good home cooking, local place, you should just leave the frozen fare out. There are so many options out there that can still be cost effective and the food honestly made me think twice about going back. I would have gladly paid 6.95 for half as many fresh, hand breaded mushrooms (even if they had used drakes or whatever they use on the tenderloin).
Aside-I know this is small/nit-picky but it actually bothers me that it says 'please no sharing' on their big tenderloin. I feel like if they had to say that, they should offer a sharing plate/price and add a side because it really is a large sandwich. I think encouraging people to share and not overeat is a good thing.
I gave them three stars because the service is pretty good. If it had been sub-par they would have gotten two. Seriously those mushrooms were gross.
We went for breakfast and found the service to be incredibly poor and slow. Less than half of the tables were taken, so I wouldn't say it was due to them being busy. Â It took over 30 mins to get our breakfast which wasn't anything more complicate than toast, eggs and hashbrowns. Â The waitress never checked on us or our drinks (I had to ask for coffee twice... they finally refilled it after the second time I asked). When the food was dropped off, they quickly left without asking if we needed anything else. Twice when I was able to get their attention and ask for something, they never brought it. We ended up having to get more coffee creamer off another table when they didn't bring it and I even had to go back to the kitchen to get ketchup that they never brought when asked. The food was mediocre and nothing special. Â we definitely will not be going back. Luckily there are plenty of other great breakfast spots nearby.
Review Source:It's just a little okay. Average food. I've only been there a couple times and it's just okay. I would suggest other places in Noblesville. If it was all there was in a town, I would suggest, but there's better things in Noblesville than this. Mediocre. I had to wait a while for my food too.
Review Source:OK I have lived in Noblesville for 18 plus years and remember when a good home cooking place was very hard to find! Great news now we have a bunch to pick from. even better news they are all great!! I base my opinion on their breakfast, lunch, and coffee! I'm from Detroit where a good breakfast will make or break you in a heart beat, next you coffee had to be hot and strong at all time of day or night! Courtney's is not a big city place but a home town charmer on all counts. The room is homey with out be to cute, nice art on the walls with a nice mixes of country with the tables and chairs. The food is spot on good and filling, they feed you not fool you. The home made taste is for real in everything they make. I love their pies, they are fresh and made in house! The coffee is the only thing that need help, it is hot and fresh but could be a bit stronger for my taste! Try it you will become a fan!
Remember to live well and to eat well, and please no chains!
Down home cooking at its best. There's not much else to say about this place. If you need comfort food, and you're in Noblesville, give this place a try. We took my 91-year-old grandmother there for dinner, and even she who has always made everything herself was impressed. The owner was out in the dining room several times throughout the night serving food, checking on customers, and even cleaning tables. He used recipes that his family has handed down for generations, and it shows.
We had several items that were great: ham & bean soup (fresh, tender, smoky ham!) with cornbread, pulled pork BBQ with homemade sauce (though my grandmother did acknowledge that her sauce is better...I have to agree, but only because that's what you do with family), and a fried tenderloin sandwich (voted #1 in Noblesville, though I'd probably expand that geographical reach, they seemed in no need to push any further than their local community...another reason to like them). The fries, by the way, are just like Penn Station - crunchy and delicious. If you only like McDonald's fries, save the $1 upcharge and just get chips.
We finished off with two of their homemade ice creams: oatmeal cream pie (are you serious?!) and apple cinnamon. Both were fantasic, but the OCP (they do give it that acronym) was the winner with little chunks of oatmeal cookie and a spicy sweet flavor.
The service was okay from our actual server. She was not overly friendly or knowledgeable, but she was prompt. The owners were by our table several times and interacted with us, though, and made sure we were satisfied. Even the second server on duty was happy to help when we needed some extra napkins. Not every place is like that anymore.
I would definitely return to try their chicken and noodles and many other savory dishes. It's worth the trek if you don't live in Noblesville, and it should be on your regular list if you do live there. Oh yeah, and it's really affordable too. The entire bill for four of us (there was a kids meal in there too) was less than $50 with tax and tip.
eeeh...I live in Noblesville and one night we decided to try places we have never been to in town, someone suggested this to us. Well i ordered the tenderloin, it comes with chips but i got fries and had to pay a $1 difference. I shouldve saved my dollar. I maybe ate one fry they looked and smelled burnt. Didnt really taste burnt but they were not tasty. The tenderloin was was very good though, Service was excellent. Atmosphere...ehhh it was really cold, it was a rainy day i believe so to come in from rain to cold kind of sucked. They get an A for effort though
Review Source:My husband and I went here for lunch, Being a beautiful day, we sat outside to eat. The waitress came out, not unfriendly, but def not friendly either. My husband ordered a hamburger , side of fries and diet drink. I ordered the chef's salad with water. Our drinks arrived quick, but the water had an 'off' taste to it. My husbands diet drink was good he said, but she never gave or offered him a refill. The lettuce in my chef salad was more soft than crisp. Not discolored, though. Turkey and ham were thin lunch meat and had the taste of not being from the deli area. The boiled egg was warm, as was most of the salad. My husband says his hamburger had no taste. She never asked how he wanted it cooked. It had to have been previously frozen. His bun was freshly toasted. He said his fries were good and were hot. 4 people sitting at a table beside us came right over to our table as I started to get up. One of the persons asked if they could have our table, before I even said 'yes', the waitress was there putting condiments on our table for THEM. (it was not a crowded atmosphere). We felt pushed out of our table at that point. Our meal cost us $18.02. This lunch was not worth it.
