We used to come here when it was Feast. Not sure when it changed over to Cru but they haven't really changed the decor much, if at all, which is a good thing. It's cozy and contemporary and dark, all of which I like. Unfortunately, the new menu does not include the great pizza they once had. I don't know how to describe the cuisine- all over the map? Prices are inflated, too. We opted for several small plates, including "hand cut fries," a house salad (that was $8- really?? For lettuce, tomatoes and cucumber?), grilled shrimp and calamari (it came with exactly two shrimp), the special parsnip soup (very good but why does it need nuts?) and the potato gnocchi (think Asian style- the gnocchi themselves were light but rather tasteless- the accompanying sauce, however, was very good). For dessert we opted for strawberry sorbet which comes from Black Dog and was excellent. We may have opted for gelato but the flavor combinations seemed sort of gross. I will say that they have a nice wine list and the service was quite good- laid back but expedient. I would give it four stars but when the bill came, to my horror, it listed the fries we'd eaten as being "duck fat fries." The waiter confirmed it. Had the menu stated that they were fried in duck fat, we NEVER would have ordered them. I find it reprehensible that people wouldn't be advised of such a thing. It's bad enough that the menu is so nut-centric but for vegetarians, the duck fat is unacceptable. They need to state it plainly on the menu so diners have a choice. I'm not sure we'll be going back, for that reason alone.

A group of us went out for a co-worker's birthday, and it was fun and delicious.  It was a little pricey, but I fully intend on going back for the following:

    Mushroom flat bread
    Marguerite flat bread
    Blue cheese - amazing!
    Swiss char
    Mac and cheese

    I definitely recommend this place.

Stopped here on our way to dinner and were impressed with the wines and drinks.  The bartender was great! And even though they had to close due to a power issue, she took great care of us and bought us a round! We will definitely stop back.

A group of us stumbled upon this place during a chocolate tour. It looked so inviting we decided to make our way back to it at the end of the tour. This was a pleasant surprise.  4 of us sat outside on a nice fall day.  Although it is on a busy street and there is a lot of  traffic noise it was still a nice patio area.  The prices for the wine were pretty average for the area.We split the CHARCUTERIE BOARD-with pickles, crackers, whole grain mustard, nuts and the CHEESE BOARD-with seasonal accompaniments and it was plenty of food.

My only complaint is at first our waiter was totally nagging us to be ready to order then when we did it was a very long time to get our glasses of wine and it wasn't that busy.  Also, One of my friends ordered a wine flight and they brought the wrong one and he didn't even notice. Ordered a red one and got a white one....cant be that hard to distinguish.

Had the service been better I would have given it a solid 5.

I've been here 3 times now... and each time I am less impressed. Most recently, their wine list appears to have been chopped in half - not to mention somewhat outrageously priced for what meager offerings are left. Food was below average, service was spotty at best - 3 different people took care of us last time... and no one person did a very good job. And, for the record, an aioli is most certainly not mayo mixed with whole grain mustard!

The decor is charming, the service is great and the food is really simple and delicious.  The fireplace and the music make for the perfect ambience.  Cru is a wonderful spot for brunch and it is reasonably priced.  Also, I have never had an issue getting in and it's never too crowded.  I'm sorry they don't have more business - they deserve it - but on the plus side it is very relaxing and charming.

Thank you SO much to Catie and Ben for such a wonderful night for my cousin's bachelorette!  We planned a progressive dinner beginning with a sparkling wine sampling and tutorial at Cru.  Each selection was more delicious than the next, everyone had such a nice time and the cheese and charcuterie boards were the perfect pairing.  It was a great night and we really appreciated the special attention and service.  Thanks again!

i stumbled on this wine bar while looking for a place to have a drink (or four) close to my hotel. although the patio looked super cute, it was a rainy evening and we just wanted to find a warm, dry place to sit and have some beverages.
i went on a sunday night, so it was not crowded at all, however the weekend crowd had depleted the wine selection...they were out of our first two choices! Regardless, i still had some great service...turns out our server was a fellow texan! it was a nice, chill atmosphere with a good 90's playlist.

a good place to check out if you're looking for some wine (and apps) while you're in Chicago.

I've been here quite a few times, as it's down the street from the bar I work in. Sometimes after getting off work, we want a low key place to go and have a couple nice cocktails or glasses of wine to decompress. This place hits the spot every time.

Normally I just go to drink, so I never really thought it justified a Yelp review. However, I recently took my mom there while she was in town visiting and was really impressed!

We started with the escolar which was super fresh and topped with jalapeno, candied ginger, wasabi tobiko, and slices of scallion, lemon, lime and avocado. It was DELICIOUS! I've since fallen in love and have ordered it every time I've been back. We also split the cheese plate, which was adorned with crostini and a couple fruits and spreads. Finally, we split the braised short rib, which was a good portion for it's price, had obviously been cooked forever, and came with mashed potatoes (delicious), swiss chard and fried broccoli (delicious) covered in some (delicious) sauce.

The wine list is extensive and most is offered by the glass, as well as the bottle, which, in my opinion is nice, and unpretentious for a wine bar. I mean, even if you drink the whole bottle every time, it's still nice to have the option, right?  The staff is always super-knowledgeable and makes great recommendations. As I usually go at night, Lexi or Noah are my bartenders, while Greg, the brunch bartender has also been there a few times. They are all outgoing and witty and offer up as much clever conversation as wine recommendations. They always suggest some new red that just came in, as it seems like they frequently update the list.

The service has always been perfect. Before the staff knew I was industry, they all welcomed me in, from the greeter at the door, to the bartenders, to the manager, Jonathon, who is always smiling. They are super friendly and remember your face and what you drink every time you come back. I once made a comment to Lexi, about how no place in Chicago can make a proper Cortado (a simple Spanish espresso drink). Apparently she listened, and surprised me with one the next time I came in! Super surprising since I had only been there a handful of times at that point.

I would recommend this place to any of my friends who come visit from out of town or any local looking for a new place to have a nice dinner. With plenty of seating and intimate setting, it would be a great date spot before hitting the gold coast nightlife or after a long day of shopping.

I recently went to Cru for a girlfriends birthday.  She lives in the area and chose Cru. There were 8 of us girls and usually service is not to great anywhere we go (probably cause we're 8 girls), but it was amazing at Cru.  Our server Anthony was super friendly and didn't even flinch when we told him that we needed separate checks.  He said it would be no problem to do separate checks, but if we'd like he could prepare a family style dinner with wine pairings and just divide the bill equally between the 8 of us. We discussed it and it sounded cool so we did it.  Anthony asked us what we were comfortable each spending that evening and we said around $50 a person.
Anthony totally delivered and so did the FOOD!  Cheese platters, Seared Tuna app with Edamame Hummus, Crudo of Escolar with citurs and avocado, Quinoa Fries with pulled pork and slow cooked egg, mushroom flatbread, and Wagyu Burger with Cambozola cheese and duck fat fries. Anthony had the burger cut into 4 so they were easy to share.  So amazing!  We started with prosecco, a nice sauvignon blanc next, and finished with a red wine. We finished with a dessert platter( Red Velvet Cheesecake, Chocolate Bread Pudding, and Carrot GInger Cake).
With Food, WIne, and Tax the bill came to just under $400 Just as we discussed with Anthony. $50 a person.  Side note: Anthony was very engaging the whole dinner.  He asked what our plans were the rest of the evening and we said we didn't really have any, but planned on bouncing around the river north area. Anthony called a friend for us at Untitled where none of us had been yet and put us on the list.  Which came in handy cause there was a line of like 70 people when we got there. NO line, NO wait, greeted by a manager and given really great service there also. We all agreed this was above and beyond service and one of the nicest inexpensive dinners we've ever had.  Thanks Cru and Anthony!!!! We plan on returning soon and asking for Anthony.  If you read this Anthony we are dragging you out after work with us!!!

Jenny and I came here over the summer and had a fun flight and some great wine by the glass. We came back last week and it seems to have changed, the wine options seem to be slimmed down quit a bit and defintely weren't as good and more expensive.
Not bad wine, just boring and overpriced. We had a few snacks at the bar, they were fine. Not a destination, but if your walking by,sure.

Went here for a Saturday brunch. I ordered the Benedict Royale and it was so delicious. Our entire party was pleased with the service, the cocktails, the food presentation and the taste of our meals. I would definitely come back. It also helped that it wasn't crowded at all for a Saturday morning brunch, and the classy atmosphere was nice and didn't feel stuffy.

Even though Cru was on my list as something I'd want to check out, we kind of just stumbled in on a Monday night. I was surprised how large the space is. I really like the bar area - a few TVs, large U shaped bar, chalk boards with menu items and a really nice back bar with wine and spirits galore. It certainly has the feel of a sleek wine bar that belongs in the gold coast. I have no idea if the regular seating area on the other side of the place gets full, but I think if they didn't have the separation I would just add a few tables to the bar area and call it a day. The wine list of course is large and probably impressive if I knew what I was reading. Plenty of wine by the glass and I had two of a very nice cab franc. For food we started with the fritto misto, and had the steak frites and salmon as main dishes with a side of green beans.

Everything we had was just ok with nothing really surprising or particularly tasty. The best flavor of the entire meal was probably the mashed potatoes that came with the salmon. The salmon as also probably the next best thing as it was well cooked and seasoned. Liz liked the steak and I would agree it was a good piece of meat, nice char marking and cooked to order. It didn't wow me but was fine and a good size for $23, and the fries were cold and not very good either. I have no idea what the fritto misto was supposed to be - it was just a bunch of random stuff deep fried and the batter didn't even stay on the items. Not recommended. The green beans were very bland and I easily could have made better ones myself. Finally, we tempted fate just a bit too much with the brownie sundae that arrived in a very awkward glass. Neither brownie nor ice cream were worth finishing and we left most of the dessert on the table.

Overall I don't think I'll be back any time soon. The bar area is really nice and a good spot to have a drink and maybe a dish, but mostly drink. The food was very mediocre, our service was spotty and the value not great as our bill was over $120. Maybe the move to a larger location was a mistake as I think the bar program would be a great addition to many restaurants or hotels in the area.

Reliably solid dinner, but not good enough to justify the price bump from when it was Feast.

My wife and I went for dinner the other evening.  Service was friendly and polished but unfortunately quite slow, especially toward the end.

The charcuterie/cheese/spread appetizer was definitely the highlight, along with a tasty cocktail.  The salad that followed was also very good.

Entree: The pork chop was excellent, but the brussels sprouts on the side were too salty.

I have been coming here since 1999 before I even moved here. This has always been my favorite wine bar. Glad it is back as Feast really did not work for me on so many levels. The wines by the glass are always carefully curated. The ambiance is classy but not pretentious.

    Had lunch here Saturday.

Great service and an amazing charcuterie and cheese spread but the entrees were hit or miss.

I had a Greek salad with shrimp that was fairly underwhelming and my date had a BLT that had what looked like 1/2 a head of lettuce on it.

This place would've earned 4 stars had we stuck to the charcuterie, cheese and drinks. I know better now.

I'll give them another try soon.

After aimlessly wandering all over downtown Chicago looking for a sophisticted, tucked away place for a gourmet turkey burger and glass of red, i spotted this former Feast location.

Their moist, flavorful turkey burger is among the best. It hit the spot with a sip of cab franc this beautiful afternoon.

Bar service is syrupy sweet. ;)

    Going back!

    3.5 stars

This cute wine bar is across the street from the Talbott Hotel where I stayed. It was a raining afternoon, so we decided to cross the street for quick food and some vino. Cru Cafe & Wine Bar is charming, intimate, and a nice spot for a glass or 2 of wines on a lazy afternoon.

We stayed at the bar area instead of the cafe side. Cute spot for people watching. The lunch menu for the weekend was a lot of food. My friend and I just want something to share.

    - Caesar salad romaine, white anchovy, shaved parmesan, romaine, croutons with Amish chicken, it was a bit soggy.

    - Cru lobster club poached lobster, roast beef tenderloin, avocado, watercress,
remoulade, brioche - The lobster was perfect. The Beef was nice, the Fries was too much oil, and there was only 5 leaves of watercress. I wish there was more watercress and less fries - see photo. I didn't eat any of the fries.

As their concept mentioned on their website:" We proudly support small producers and sustainable farming. every wine on the menu has a story and a soul. Whether it's a grower champagne, small family owned domaines, winemakers from multiple generations or just passionate winemakers, they all share a common philosophy about farming and wine making.

There was about 12 cocktails, 5 or so beers on the menu. The wine list  by the glass: 5 spakling, 10 white, 12 red, and 2 flights are high mark up.

The white wine by the bottle, range from $36-$72, about 20 styles. The red wine range from $36-$125, about less than 30 styles. That is a very decent list, the mark up is not so bad by the bottle.

On Sunday, they offer industry night, so you can have special discount on drinks. The server Gregory was very sincere and attentive to us. Will come back next time I'm back to Chi Town.

I made a reservation for 7PM for two people.  The very young and seemingly inexperienced "host" took almost 15 minutes to seat us at an outdoor table.

We sat for another 8 minutes looking for our waiter.  Finally, he came to our table and we requested two small samplings of red wine to help us select our choice for a bottle with dinner.

We waited another 10 minutes and our wine samples still had not arrived so we got up to leave.

We told them there service is insufferable and and painfully inept.  Unfortunately even though we live in the neighborhood we will not go back to Cru Bar.

There are just too many other choices in the area.

I'm in a good mood today so I'm going to give Cru the benefit of a doubt and give it 4 stars, though I think 3.5 is more like it.

I had the day off from work so I went for lunch on Monday when it was beautiful outside and took a table right on the sidewalk. I felt very chic dining al fresco on Delaware. Everyone who helped/assisted me that day was very nice.

I started with the gemay noir and the chilled corn soup. Both were good. The corn soup was soooo tasty, perfect summer dish and a nice portion size to boot. I then did the Alexander Valley Sweet Spot cab with the mushroom flatbread. The flatbread is no joke, it was a very sizeable dish. The wine was excellent. I ended with the strawberry shortcake. This was a bit of a disappointment as it was more shortcake then cream and berries, however, the small aperitif glass of prosecco was a nice touch.

I can't say I would make a trip to Old Town just to go here, but if I had other plans in the area I wouldn't mind stopping in for a small bite and a glass of wine. Good date night place, but in the colder months the number of tables will dramatically decrease as the inside area isn't that big.

Stopped here on a lazy Saturday while shopping on Michigan Ave, pretending we were tourists. I love the outdoor seating, I kinda felt like I was in Europe sitting under the trees sipping vino.

The wine selection is great, I had a bubbly flight and my hubby had the Cab. We ordered the Chefs tray or something like that. 1 cheese, 1 charcuterie, and 1 spread. We had the cheddar, salumi, and English peas spread. All were delish! I loved the fresh warm crusty bread as well. We also tried the beignets with raspberry or strawberry jam. Yumm! Super light and fluffy.

Service was great, I will definitely be back. I am always looking for a great alfresco wine and cheese spot and this one hit the mark!

    Lunch review.

    More specifically, salad review.

It was gorgeous on Saturday afternoon and we were out shopping. Drawn by the tables under the rustling leaves and light breeze of a 75degree perfect afternoon for sitting outside, we settled on this place to try it out.

I wouldn't say I'm disappointed necessarily, I just wasn't impressed either. So yea, I'd go back, I just would probably ask for things a little different.

    Two salads: Caesar and Chopped.

Both were good, they just weren't dressed quite well enough. Maybe it's my fault for not asking for more dressing. They both tasted good, just a little dry.  I blame my not asking on the fact that I was probably still too mellowed from the previous night's libation-extravaganza to care.

The crusted bread with white anchovies was great on the Caesar.  The hearts of palm in the Chopped were a great addition.

I'd go back if I'm in the area, but I'll probably try something else, or ask for a properly dressed salad next time.

Really like this place, and not just because it is next door to the bf's digs.  The food selection is a bit more fine tuned and less confused than the feast menu, which was latin, asian, american, french and anything else you want to throw in there.

better wine selection than feast, great outdoor seating, and the charcuterie and salads we tried were stellar.  The chicken pate spread rivaled that of Paris Club (yes, I said it.)  At 10 PM on a sunday night, the outdoor patio was packed with diners so it looks like there will be more than a hint of lime tostito feast in my late night eating future.

The breakfast is totally yummers.  The sweet potato chips are clever and tasty, yet not overly greasy.  The traditional breakfast stuff is beyond servicable, as well.  The interior is very classily done.  I wish I did not have to hit the road, afterwards, so I could grab a drink.  Next time!

Stopped here for dinner after picking up our race packets. Nice, low key, quiet place. The food was good, our waiter Matthew was excellent. We had a basil tomato flatbread as an appetizer, and I had the lamb, my husband had the duck. He was annoyed because I kept stealing bites of his. Too bad sucker, you married me!

Coffee brownie dessert was definitely good, but tasted nothing like coffee. It was chocolatey and delicious though, so I'll let it slide.

I loved the atmosphere of the place, sometimes I just wanna get a drink and food in a quiet place and not be be bothered. Good place for a date.

We would definitely go again, but I wanna try a cheese board next time.

I believe all the low rated reviews are for the previous restaurant that used to be here. This place just reopened 5 weeks ago and IT IS CLASSY INSIDE!

My girl friend and I were looking for some place to have a glass of wine and I randomly saw this place walking down Rush St on a Wednesday night. I'm glad we stopped!

The interior is so nice. I was amazed that they had 2 fireplaces, hanging chandeliers and beautiful layout.
Even though I didn't get a chance to eat, the menu looked delicious. This seems like a perfect place for date night (hint, hint).

We're very happy to see Cru back in the neighborhood.  Before it became Feast it was one of our favorite spots for Friday evening drinks.  Now reopened, the outdoor seating area is twice as large as before.

Great wine list, with lots of interesting choices.  It'll take us a while to work through all of them.  The menu showed too much effort to be upscale.  For example, scallops with pork belly, lemongrass, and bok choy.   And how are you suppose to taste the scallops with all that strong flavor competition?

We tried the chicken pate only because we'd never heard of chicken pate.  Now we know why - it's tasteless.

So the food is not-quite-there.  And the service:  Wow, it's a long way for even being not-quite-there.  From "What would WE like today?" to empty wine glasses, to ignoring comments I'm making to interrupt with "Is there anything else you want?" we'll be sure to avoid this woman on future visits.  I miss the rude uninterested waiter at the old Cru, who knew his wines and also how to take care of a table.

But great setting, great wines, and great people watching on Delaware.  Hopefully the rest improves.

Wow... Let me just say I woke up in an amazing mood this morning excited to go to a late 4th of July lunch with three of my girlfriends!

We arrived and were the 6th table in the restaurant at 1:45pm 7/4/12.  The hostess sat us promptly and we sat at a high top in the bar.  Our waiter was BRAD.  Oh, Brad, Brad, Brad... Brad took our drink order:  One Bellini, One Pino Gris and one cup of coffee.  After sitting for about 15 minutes waiting for Brad to take our order, we flagged him down to take our order. We asked for a few recommendations on the menu and commented multiple times how we were starving and that everything sounded good.  A couple of us were debating on the quiche of the day or the breakfast sandwich sliders.  Brad recommended the sliders.  GREAT!  One of my girlfriends and I ordered the breakfast sandwich sliders with sausage, another order the sliders sans sausage and ant other the burger.  SUPER EXCITED FOR OUR LUNCH!

About 25-30 minutes later after commenting if they were killing the cows and pigs had to be killed in the back to make our meals or even waiting for the chickens to lay the eggs our meals finally arrived.  Again, we were one of 6 tables inside and out.  The place was not even remotely busy... The presentation was LOVELY!  I pulled out my knife and happily cut one of my two breakfast sandwiches in half and took a scrumptious bite. But.... then I looked at my sandwich.  OMG.... the pork sausage was pink.  Too pink for consumption... I put my sandwich down.   Told the busboy I had rare pork.  Brad came by shortly after to see how everything was.  Told him I had rare pork.  While I was eating the side potatoes,  Hey- I was HUNGRY!  He agreed and said "OHHHHHH!  Let me show this to the Chef."  Brad returns and half heartedly apologizes... "Well, I can get you another order, but this is the standard way that the chef prepares the pork."  Um... No... My friend's order was prepared properly without blood.  I ask to see a menu because I am super disgusted after ingesting what I just ate.

Approximately 5 minutes later I hear Brad talking very loudly to his bartender through the pass through at the bar "I have the WORST F**KING TABLES EVER.  OMG!!!"  He pops out and given we were sitting 10 ft away from the bar I share that we could hear him...  "Oh... Sorry," says Brad.  Brad storms off... Note:  No manager ever came out to apologize for the food OR the waiter's indiscretion.  Really?

After being MIA for the remainder of our meal, (My glass of wine was empty for at least 20 minutes and I would have gladly drank my calories since I didn't eat...)  We flag down the busboy and ask for our check.  Check is received.  Brad shares "oh- I removed yours."  Oh- gee thanks for removing my food poisoning.   10 minutes later, Brad picks up the check.  We share how we would like the check split.  Brad cannot even get this right... There were three cards, not thirteen.

In conclusion, I will say that I cannot remember a time EVER that I and a group I have been with have left ZERO TIP.  Congrats Brad.  You're the big winner...

    THUMBS DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Say goodbye to Feast and hello again to Cru Cafe and Wine bar (if I remember correctly this was the same name before it was Feast . . .am I remembering that right?)

Well anyway- you'll hardly recognize the place cuz it's gone fancy as the bar is now marble, the chandeliers are back in place twinkling overhead, and the tables are what you might find in a french bistro accompanied by a banquette that runs along the one wall.  Quite a nice complement to the dark floors.  There is also a large patio out front to enjoy your food in.

We went for Sunday brunch , , ,er , , ,"linner"?  Anyway- it was around 1:30 when we finally strolled in.  I had tried to make a reservation and while they take them for other dayparts, they don't take them for brunch so it was a gamble.  And one that paid off as while it was busy- there were still plenty of tables for us to choose from.

The menu was perfect . . .plenty of breakfast choices as well as their "rest of day" menu was available at this time.  My friend ordered "The Meaning of Life"; a flight of champagnes that was perfect for this day, and my Bloody Mary was equally as good.

I vacillated between breakfast and lunch and finally decided on my old standby of a ham and tomato omelet.  The omelet comes with breakfast potatoes and nothing else so know if you want toast- you are going to pay an additional $2.  The food was good and the service was even better.  Julio took excellent care of us asking us our names and suggesting a few of his favorites on the menu.  We never felt hurried or rushed yet he was always there just in the background to see if we needed anything.

Our meal for two with drinks was comparable for a higher end brunch somewhere else at about $70 (before tip)  Parking is tough on the street but there are garages within a block of Cru (there was no valet during the day . . I don't know if that changes at night)

Cru is owned by the same people who own the Goddess and Grocer next door.  They are trying to make this more of an all day spot again versus just a breakfast place as it was when it was Feast.  The menu looks like it should encourage that.

I will be back as I'd love to sit outside with one of their cheese plates and a glass of one of the many wines they carry and watch the world go by.

I work in the area and had wanted to stop by to check out the new and improved Cru.  The space is great and wine list is perfect.  Menu is a little selective and pricey in my opinion.  I wanted a salad and asked to add chicken - not allowed here at Cru.  I asked the waitor if he was kidding.  He seemed to think it was as incovenient as me!  Went with the burger instead...which was delicious but hard to mess up a burger.  I come from a mindset that customer service is the one thing you can control in a business.  Why not make it perfect!?  Bottom line - good food, good wine list, ok prices.

After reading the few negative reviews about this place I feel compelled to write my own review, since I think the place is great.

I stopped by Cru with my husband with the intention of just popping our heads in to check out the new place, but the patio looked so nice we decided to stay for a drink. We had some very nice wine, with the best and most unique being an earthy Greek red wine. The setting was so nice that we decided to linger  a bit longer and ordered a cheese plate, which was nice.

Although we did not stay for a full meal experience, I was particularly impressed with the level of service, especially since it was the first day they were open (it was the soft opening). The waiter was extremely friendly and willing to provide advice about wine choices. What I think was one of the chefs brought out our cheese plate.  I asked him if he could just tell me a bit about each of the 3 cheeses since I was unfamiliar, and he gave very knowledgeable descriptions of each without coming off the least bit pretentious.

An outdoor patio is always a plus this time of year and I look forward to returning to try the rest of the menu, which looks great. It's a welcome change of pace from some other the other restaurants in the neighborhood. Only reason my review is at 4 stars instead of 5 is because I have not yet had a more complete dinner experience.

Bottom line: Poor communication in wait staff + terrible food = Worst breakfast experience ever.

I went to Cru with my friend for breakfast on Sunday. We had been to Feast and hadn't realized it had been bought and decided give it a shot. We were there at 10 AM, so they were not extremely busy. After we were seated, a young man approached us and introduced himself and said he would be taking care of us and asked if he could bring us a mimosa or bloody mary. We declined but my friend asked if the kitchen might still be able to make the oatmeal pancakes that she had loved from the feast menu. The server did mention that he would check and went off. We were then approached by another server who also introduced himself as our server and asked to get out drink order. We told him we had already been helped and he said the other server was a trainee supporting him. This was weird, but we didn't think anything at the time. We ordered shortly thereafter, my friend getting the blueberry pancakes and me getting the eggs benedict. Our food arrived FORTY MINUTES LATER. For not being busy, this was extremely ridiculous in my opinion with both of our servers not paying close attention to our table during our wait (I ran out of coffee and had to ask for a refill that didn't come quickly). When our food arrived, we were starving only to be greeted by our food that I will say was reasonably well presented, but tasted like a salt lick. Even my friend's pancakes were incredibly salty and she ended up just eating the area in the center with the blueberries. We considered sending our food back, but realized it would probably take at least another twenty minutes to get our food again. I asked our server instead for pepper, hoping to distract my taste buds from the heavy salt. A hostess brought us salt and pepper... And our server brought us another salt and pepper shaker combo about ten minutes later. This front of the house staff has no ability to communicate... And judging by the time it took to get food when they weren't busy, I would guess the kitchen doesn't either. I would recommend steering clear of this place... At least until the staff can get adjusted and maybe the cooks learn go easy on the salt.

Food was a complete let down.  Great location doesn't always mean you can get away with average (at best) food.  Greasy boring flatbread and the scallop dish was the worst I have ever had.  Small dry scallops and an unimaginative preparation lacking flavor (are you kidding with that lemongrass skewer).  I will not be returning anytime soon.
