Okay, so I have to start off by saying that I'm a huge fan of both Mercadito and Tavernita so I was really intrigued on trying out this place with it's French influence to the American bistro. I made our reservation and we were seated when everyone arrived just like the other restaurants. The place has a very European, adorable, casual yet still trendy vibe. I really like it. It's not as glitzy as the other two restaurants, but it still has that unique, cool element to it.

Okay on to the food, it was good, it wasn't amazing but definitely good. I guess I just prefer Mexican and Spanish cuisine but this stuff was definitely worth trying once. Here is what we got:

-Pull apart bread with honey butter-very yummy, flakey and savory. Plus, it's a big portion for the price of $5.50.

-Mushrooms on toast- Served with toasted bread and red onion marmalade jam. Yummy as well.

-Their famous poutine-For $14.50 you get a huge portion and I've had the original in Montreal but this was very good. Pieces of short rib, cheese curds and gravy. Very fresh and my hubby really enjoyed this one.

-Lobster roll sandwich-This was our fave dish of the night, also served with warm crispy fries. The lobster roll was $18.50 and a decent portion with the amount of lobster you get. It comes with this spicy cole slaw that makes it very fusion and different than we've had before. But honestly, fish bar still does it better, but shhh.

Overall, we had a nice time, our friends had drinks that were tasty (but come on, what's not tasty with tequila). The service was okay, much better than I've read on here. Definitely no complaints. Unfortunately, we were too full for any desserts. But still Mercadito has my heart as #1.

The food is good. Not anything special. The sodas are good. For the price they charge. I would recommend a different spot.

My boyfriend and I tried out Little Market on a whim last night and we were quite happy with our experience. Our waitress, Sarah, was really great. She explained the food and drink options to us and didn't rush us at any point. My boyfriend ordered a Ginger Smash and I had a Vodka Smash and both were great. We started the meal with the Sunchoke Salad, which Sarah said was the most popular of the salads. I was not familiar with a Sunchoke Artichoke and I really liked the texture and taste of it when combined with the arugula, white cheddar, pear, and red wine vinaigrette. It was a delicious salad. Next, we could not resist ordering the special pasta- Gnocchi with Alaskan Snow Crab in a garlic cream sauce with breadcrumbs. The gnocchi melted in your mouth and my boyfriend said it was the best he has ever had. Next we had the All-Day Grilled Cheese. It was pretty good for a grilled cheese sandwich. All of the ingredients really worked together, and the french fries were GREAT. There was quite a delay between the gnocchi and the sandwich and our waitress was extremely apologetic and said we could pick any dessert on the house. We also ordered the Mac and Cheese as a side (hard to resist Mac and Cheese at a restaurant..) and it was good, but a little too runny for my taste. We were also pretty full at this point. For dessert, we had the black bottom sundae and it was delish.

Despite having a menu that was on the smaller size, there were many other items that sounded good to me and I think we will definitely be back to try other things that Little Market has to offer!
