I am done giving this place anymore chances!  If you don't read all that I have to say, at least get that the MANAGER upstairs (blond woman) shoves her patrons around like cattle.  But i'll address that at the end.

Wine bar: Second level, is of course expensive, but the furniture is uncomfortable and falling apart.  They didn't have our first two wine choices so it's like we're on a treasure hunt. . . or they are trying to up sell you.  We didn't enjoy any mixed drinks because we were there for wine.

Rooftop:  Um, yea, there is no wine.  AND the drinks are expensive for the quality drinks you are getting and the bartenders are so, so very rude.  Here are some of the many problems -
Right when you walk in (on a weekend night when it's full of people thinking they are going to dance at a night club) you hit the bar line....which is long.  The actual bar part is very small and crowded, so be ready to wait for a LONG time.  My husband is forced to order us doubles in a tall glass just so we don't have to go back in line very soon.  When you get your drinks, they are awful and expensive and the bartenders again are very rude.

Right beside the long bar line, is the cash bar line, so there is just a ton of people just standing around waiting.  If you get through all that, you get to the restroom line.  Yep.  ONE restroom, gas station style-disgusting.  ONE restroom for both guys and girls, so ladies you have to deal with drunken piss allover the place.  And never mind how dirty it always is, because no one goes through to clean it since there is a constant line for it.  ALSO, this restroom is steps away from the DJ/ and dance "floor", so get used to the smell.

There are some seating around the area so the actual place to dance is very small.  Most of the rooftop is taken up by these private area tents and seats for parties who have rented them. . . and they are often empty because they charge a ton to get them.  So they would rather have there regulars crowded around and these spots empty then to open them up.  I have heard they are $800 to $1200 for these tented areas.

Crowded and Texas weather to contend with.  Wonderful.  Think. . lots of gross, muggy sweat.  Not sexy.

What really did it for us this time was last Saturday night, we were walking toward the bar (again by the front door) when this woman comes barreling through my friend and the person in front of her, so she straight up shoved my friend over.  My friend put her arm up and pushed back a little so that she didn't fall back.  The woman whips around with her mouth open. I thought she was going to hit my friend, so I put my arm up between them and said "hey!".  The woman shoves my arms aside and says something to the bouncers and took off out the front door.  The bouncers then told US to leave!  ( If you knew us or could see us, this would be very funny)

We were so confused and asked why.  This woman shoves us and WE'RE asked to leave???  We asked who is that woman... where she can treat people like that?? and these two guys are so quick to ask us to leave when we did nothing. . .they didn't wanna say!  Finally, they fessed up. . .they said that woman was the MANAGER!!!

Wow. . .to have the manager of the bar, shoving people around like they are cattle and she is just SO important, I guess. . . i don't think so.  That place needs some serious help.  No wonder the bartenders are so rude if this blond woman is there manager!  but I'm sure they are on there way out of the Woodlands.  There is so many other nicer choices right around there...Who treat their patrons with RESPECT.

If you've never been, you are not missing anything.  Go somewhere else.

What a waste of an awesome roof top!

They charge big bucks ( someone said $ 1200 but I haven't verified) to reserve a table up there & what's so funny is there's never anyone sitting at their tables.

Additionally it's impossible to chill due to the extremely loud Latin Hip Hop blasting 24 X 7.  Not sure if they play it all the time but they do on Thursdays & Saturdays.

This review only pertains to roof top.  FYI the downstairs is chilled w a nice atmosphere.

Horrible service at the bar. Was ignored with only a couple people at the bar. When we had to flag her done to put in a order she mumbles "uh I hate people" really! Then find a new job. Horrible.

I was at this bar Saturday Night at the top called Crush Wine Bar, and there was this 45 year old man at the door who wasn't allowed inside because he left his ID in the car. I went to look for the manager and he was a short, dwarf looking guy. I explained the situation and he pushed me on the shoulder and said no one is allowed without an ID.

Tried the roof this afternoon, but it was empty and all the staff ignored us. Ended up on the 2nd floor, ordered happy hour sangria which was opaque (maybe OJ and red wine). My cocktail was better. My brother and friend ordered hummus and said it tasted fermented and fizzy. Told it was made daily, but it didn't look good either. Disappointed. Have been there 3 other times and had a nice time and enjoyed the view outside. Too many places around the Waterway are lackluster.

    Dear Yuppies,
With all due respect, please read and comprehend the restaurant name clearly, and then manage your expectations.  It is a lounge.  It is a place to relax and enjoy a good conversation with friends.  Enjoy the patio on a nice cool night, and take it easy.  Put your phones away and sit down.   It is not a trendy dance hall / bar / let's all take pictures and show off your kissy duck faces.  If that is what you want, walk your sorry ass across the street to Bakerstreet, and enjoy the douche-infested waters.

OK back to Crush.  Sure, drink all the wine you want - it's good, but just do one thing, and I beg you:  Order the Blackberry BRIE off the food menu.   It's absolutely delicious.

The service is good.  Remember... this is a LOUNGE.  If you want the staff to drop by your table every 3 minutes to check you for a dirty diaper, you won't be happy - but the staff did a great job making themselves available.  Don't be shy to grab their attention.

It's a great place to relax - have some wine, or a nice cigar...  I've been here with a party of 10+, and a relaxing date with just my wife.  In both situations, we all had a good experience.

    The end.

It's in the Woodlands, it's trendy and that's about all I can about this place.
The wine selection is nice and the view is great but it's a bit stuffy. Would probably be well suited for a business happy hour.

Trendy bar. Good place for groups and worth taking people who aren't from the area. especially to take them to the rooftop bar. I Agree, with other reviewer that it's a woodlands experience, no matter what your opinion is on that subject. Top level chic rooftop bar, first level cozy wine bar with balcony. Don't touch the heaters the bouncer will get mad but don't ask the waiters they don't know how to operate them. haha. Staff is friendly and attentive if you get a good waitress.

Came here with my wife and had a blast. Was looking for a classy place to enjoy quality time but still get the feel of being out on a date, this place was it. The music was not that loud, drink prices were great, the scenery was awesome. As a single I would also come here as well; you may have a find a woman that classy and has a  brain. I would definitely come back. I wasn't too happy about the smoking though but other than that it was great.

Hey when you live in surburbia the night life is a lot different than city life. Crush is what it is a wine bar in surburbia, not a bad place to chill out and have a few drinks with friends on their roof top and listen to some good music. I really like to people watch out there. All in all I'm glad Crush exist in the good ole' Woodlands.

I went with a group of friends to the rooftop.  We had to wait in line for over 20 minutes to get a drink.  When we got to the front they didn't have really anything.  Every drink we mentioned they were out of.  The bartender told me to hurry up and make a choice...WOW...carry what your menu says you have jerk and I would have already had a drink!  I made a selection, but did not leave my tab open or a tip due to his rude attitude.  After we got our drinks it was very packed and we could barely move.  We decided shortly after we wanted to leave.  My cousin had started a tab & needed to close it, but also go to the bathroom and the line was very long for both.  I told her I would close her tab.  After waiting forever to get to the front of the line. Both bartenders ignored me & waited on people behind me.  I kept saying excuse me & finally one of them said...you didn't tip so we are not waiting on you.  I then told him to have a better attitude and treat people with respect & he would get a tip.  Tip are earned not just a given.  I then told him I didn't want one a drink just the card.  I was ignored further while a few more customers behind me were waited on.  I then raised my voice, and informed him I was calling the police.  He quickly got the card, but instead of handing it to me he threw it on the counter and walked away.

I want you guys to know I am not a cheep skate.  I have worked for tips before and take care of (I always do 22%) anyone who deserves to get it.  If you don't deserve it...your not getting my hard earned money!!!

Been here many times, but lately - the last two times - service beyond lousy: No-show on the food this time ... and no-show on the dessert ... and no-show on the bill  ... and we had to go searching for our waitress to even check out ... and then when we complained were given excuses. We were told the waitress was having a bad night, and "any other night, she'd be great." Meanwhile, she's laughing & picking out a bottle of wine to begin drinking. It was shockingly unprofessional; the worst was we were never given that magic managerial word: "Sorry." It's so easy to placate if you try just a little.
I want to like Crush. We had some amazing fun times with friends on the roof in earlier days. But lately, the ambiance has changed and they just won't let me like them. That's all there is to it. Here's a tip, though: If you are the type to walk out on a bill, they probably won't notice. The maager was waving goodbye when we informed him we still had to pay.

I like Crush. When I lived there it was one of my favourite haunts. It's kinda like a place to hang out and have a good time without having to work at it. You know?? Like a club for old young people like me. This is a place where you need to have a big group of friends, or a couple who wants to hang out alone. Do NOT come here to make new friends or to meet new people. Although, I DID meet a future friend here who introduced me to my current fiance. So...maybe ignore that;)

Pizza IS good. And I had this dessert with lots of berries, don't remember the name, I was a little sloshed.

Mehhhh, got dragged here by friends.  It was amusing, but only because I pregamed, but not enough to actually wanna dance with the weirdos that come here.

IT IS SO WOODLANDS!  lol, it is actually a great people watching spot, but it's expensive, and you can't carry your drinks between levels.  Wanna party on the roof, gotta fight the crowd on the roof to get a drink, apparently you can't go down a level get a drink at that bar and then come back upstairs.

Oh well, I think it's because the stairs aren't only connective to Crush.

But yeah, expensive place, hilarious crowd, but just not my kind of place overall.

BUT I don't like dressing up to go get sweaty at a club like place, I don't like hoity toity Woodlandy things that feel elitist, and I don't like being restricted on where I can take my drinks in an establishment.

My friend did get a dance circle going for a few minutes, that was funny.

Inexperienced staff, horrible management and so so cocktails. I realize it is a wine bar, but your EARLY 20'something bartender needs to know how to make basic cocktails. Even when it first opened the food was bland and generally sub par, the band was basically taking over the entire place and the service was s-l-o-w. But at least then there were a few people there to add a little energy to this place. On a recent visit I realized things have taken a turn for the worse.  It was so empty I swear I saw tumble weeds blowing by. This was at 10 o'clock at night. The only upside to the place is the view from the balcony. Bye bye Crush. I have a feeling you won't be around much longer.

The atmosphere is fun.. The roof-top is unique and has a bit of a big city feel.  The bathroom situation does look like something out of a 7-eleven (I can't imagine it during the summer as Megan mentioned).  The drink are priced a bit high for my tastes... but this is The Woodlands, so it's not anything you don't expect.

$800+ minimum to secure one of the tents on the roof... Needless to say they were empty haha.  Maybe A-Rod picked one up when he was in town a couple weeks back.

The whole place is one building. Check id's at every level, so keep it out! There is only one bathroom for both levels of the place, so it gets crowded. 2nd level is lounge level, i.e. quiet level with crappy service (20 minutes to get a bottle of wine and a beer.) 3rd level is rooftop, which was a little much for what we were looking to get into that night. Over priced drinks, no wine. WHAT?! No wine at a wine lounge! Ordered 2 Cranberry vodkas and a beer, $20. Loud music and hardly any way to get around. We sucked down our drinks and went back down to the second level. Overall, service wasn't good, wine list was great. They have food, we didn't order any. Would definately go back and give it another try, we love our wine!

Atmosphere, ambiance, and view are truly 4-stars. (Okay, 5-stars for Texas)

Ordered by the glass. The waitstaff could not describe wines, which did not include a description on the wine list.  The wine list upstairs and downstairs were different. BTW, you cannot migrate from the chilly (November) rooftop to the cozy lounge with a drink.  I was not impressed by the two wine selections themselves.

Also, pretty sad that other reviews thought it was good to add a full bar; as this is after all supposedly a 'wine' bar.

Is ordering PBR at an upscale Wine Lounge crazy?  I didn't think so either.  This place is on the second floor of the building and the view from the patio was very relaxing.  Enjoyed my PBR up there.  It was oaky with a chocolate overtone and lingering cherry aftertaste.

We've been to Crush 4 or 5 times now. I don't think we've ever gotten the wine we've ordered...either they don't have it in stock or they bring a different vintage without informing us. I'd expect a place that specializes in wine to have what's on the menu most of the time. Additionally, the service is all over the map. We've had excellent service on one occasion but twice the service has been very substandard. On these occasions the wine and or food was served and the waiter essentially disappeared for the night.
I do have to say the ambiance is quite nice and the view is terrific on a nice night. Just wish the service was better and they actually sold the listed wine selection.

This was a great place to unwind at after a long Tuesday of conference stuff, but it could just as easily be a great Friday night hangout (as long as you're not expecting any dancing). The wine list was extremely comprehensive, ranging from $30 bottles to $1,000 bottles. Since our group wasn't that baller, we opted for $40 pinots and the $30 Purple Cowboy Tenacious Red (cab/syrah blend... not as good as the pinot). Between six of us, we managed to put away four bottles, plus the odd cocktail or two.

The purpose of the food is to complement the wine, not serve as a a full dinner. I was able to try the hummus trio as well as the steak and blue cheese pizza, hold the steak for the full-time vegetarians as well as the "no meat for Lent" vegetarians. Both were tasty and about what I expected.

We were sat upstairs in their cabanas, which would have been more enjoyable were it a bit warmer. The service was good, but given that it wasn't packed, I wouldn't have expected anything less than their (practically) undivided attention.

Overall, a great find in the Woodlands that would do just as well in downtown Houston or San Francisco, or even in Napa. I'll definitely be returning if I'm ever in the area.

This place is cool. I love the outdoor patio. Douche factor is pretty high but tolerable. They had a DJ there the other night and kicked a couple out of their table so he could setup. They were pretty pissed. Prices seem a little overpriced for the measly serving you get, but the atmosphere is still pretty cool.

This is where I had my 25th birthday at. I can never get enough. They have extended the bar with liquor now which is great because then it can accommodate to everyone.
The dining is on the 2nd floor. They have a delish Sunday fun-day buffet for only $12.99. They play chilled reggae music which I love!
Upstairs on the 3rd floor is the rooftop with more cabana style feel; kind of like being in Miami but not. They have a DJ who mixes and the specials on food and drinks are easy on the wallet.
I am always down for a great time here!

The Good- It's nice to have a bar with a roof top deck and fun atmosphere in the Woodlands. I applaud the effort. It's better than you would think for suburbia. We have now been a few times with friends and I know that once the weather gets cooler the upstairs bar will be packed.

Bad- Wish they could find a decent DJ and the bathroom situation upstairs is a little ridiculous. Granted the summer time heat has some impact, but the stench wafting from the bathrooms is unbelievable!!! They need to find a resolution to this problem ASAP!! Not to mention you either wait forever for the one available upstairs or you have to go all the way downstairs.

The Ugly - The first time we went with friends and sat inside the nice bar area. The night started off OK, but then my husband and I had an entire tray of drinks spilled on us. Initially, I felt bad for our server (she was just AWFUL) but the fact that the manager didn't come over and at least comp our drinks and offer to pay for dry cleaning makes me wonder who is running the place.

I won't be changing my opinion of this place until either the staff, management, DJs, or bathroom situation improves.

I have since spoke with the GM and he was all too eager to get me lined out with the appropriate credits.  I'm waiting for them to hit my banks still. We'll see.  I gave him my feedback.  Again it was great service and very friendly staff but the handling of the bill was horrid.  I'll keep you all posted.

I've gone to Crush a few times with coworkers and had a relaxing time on the cushy patio chairs ate some crab pizza that was tasty and sip on my Blood Orange Mimosa that i get everytime I'm there.

I decided that I wanted to spend my birthday with about 10 of my friends at Crush. So It's Saturday night we all meet up on the roof. I didn't feel the need to buy out a cabana because we got there early enough where my guest could have two tables side by side but told that we couldn't push them together. That's no problem. I think my other issue was that the staff seemed to be short handed on a Saturday night so our server wasn't making her rounds as often as my guests would have liked which they ended up having to wait in a long line at the bar. I was a little bummed out that they have run out of the Blood Orange juice that I liked with my champagne. I've gone there on Saturday nights and the place isn't crowded it's just hit or miss. My friends really enjoyed themselves and made my birthday a great one. I loved being up on the roof overlooking everything especially at night. It's the laid back attitude when I'm up there that keeps me coming back.

We all thought better than to go to this bar after the ZZ Top and Aerosmith concert last Friday night, but we didn't feel like waiting in the line to get into Baker's Street.  I realize I look like I'm seventeen years old and to make matters worse I have a tendency to wear pigtails when I go out at night.  So it's inevitable to get some questions about my age when I go out.  However, I was not expecting what came next.

We were carded at the door by the doorman, which is natural.  The girls and I then headed upstairs to the top level of the bar.  I will give this place credit for having style and adding a Miami style bar right smack in the middle of Pleasantville (The Woodlands).  We get into line at the bar for our drinks... it's been awhile since I've had a nice glass of Malbec so i was looking forward to it.  A manager or one of the servers decides to grab me and my four friends out of line and re-ID us.  A little bit annoyed, we get back in the line which has grown since our rude snatching from it.  A minute or two later we are asked for our IDs yet again by another waiter... before we had even gotten to the bar to order a drink.

At this point in time, a space on the bar opens up and I happily approach the bar to place my order because after our two interruptions and the fact that the couple in front of me was only looking at a menu, I thought no big deal.  The bartender then yelled at us for getting out of line.  Okay, I can understand the fact that I'm not in Austin anymore, but getting carded three times before ordering and being yelled at to get in line?  No thanks.

I'm a wine noob, so although my comparison & review won't include a background of other wine bars, I did really enjoy this one. The staff was very friendly & I've been there 3 times and my bar tender knows me by name now & has helped me find wines to my liking each time while not going crazy & requiring me to sell a kidney to afford it, lol. It can get pricey but considering I usually go out in Midtown, Rice Village, or off Washington, my tabs are about the same. The other thing I like is that if I recall, they had a full liquor bar, and I know they at least have a selection of beer on hand for those that don't like the grape juice =)

They have a menu so you can also grab a bite to eat there, although I haven't viewed it, a friend did order a variety of cheeses on our last visit that were quite tasty.

Finally a nice upscale place to go relax near my home. I hope this place thrives & stays in business for years to come.

The first time I went I met my date at the bar on the 2nd floor & it was a nice laid back place with attentive bar tenders. The 2nd time I got there around 7ish on a Friday & it was rather busy with an older crowd & we were there for a while & by 9-10ish, the crowd was getting younger & there seemed to be a more trendy singles type crowd coming in. Last Friday I went, it wasn't as crowded but I think that was due to it being Father's day weekend.

I really enjoyed Crush & would recommend giving it a try if you like wine. I'm not positive on the spelling, but I'm pretty sure my bartender's name is Leath, he's a tall guy, hard to miss considering I think everyone else that works there is not tall, lol. He was very helpful & always offered great service with a smile!

I have had the opportunity to visit twice now.  Both times we opted to go up to the outdoor deck and enjoy the evening.  First time was during the week and it was quiet, but a few people on the roof.  The second time the place was busy.  A friend of my date had a cabana reserved and the place was jumping.  The atmosphere is definitely great, I will say that it is on the expensive side, but not much different than any other wine bars I have been to.  Much different vibe than Baker St which is across the street, which is great depending on your mood you can go back and forth.

the decor and location are easily five stars.

i left work at 24 waterway avenue friday at 5pm and walked over with a coworker we will call "stylish peruvian accountant".

we found some cushy chairs in a room full of picture windows and parked ourselves in the corner.  crush is a two level wine lounge facing the woodlands waterway square.  it has a rooftop patio with what appeared to be canvas cabanas and many other patio seating options. the atmos is immediately appealing.  the price list, not so much.  however, this premium piece of real estate requires some level of expense.  hopefully, crush has the funds to stick around until they are well established.

we arrived around 5:15pm and left after 10.  we sat at the bar the later part of the evening.  the owner and a manager came around to greet and meet.  it was very comfortable to spend an uncomfortable amount of dough.  no regrets.  great date place.  great place to be with friends or a drink after work.  did i mention the curved underlit bar of marble or glass is gorgeous?  beautiful!

the salted almonds were a bit of a chore though.  slivered almonds to eat with your fingers....or a fork?  not sure.  the flatbread "stylish peruvian accountant" ordered was very nice.

one of the more impressive events of the evening:  our waitress asked what we were looking for (referring to the wine list). in two or three descriptions, i attempted to explain the qualities of my favorite wines.  she suggested a taste of an argentinian malbec.  i took her up on the offer.  SPOT ON.  she seemed young and inexperienced.  i'm thinking she either lucked out or, maybe, she really knows her stuff.  either way, i enjoyed it immensely.  thanks kim!

the music selection is on the right track, portishead, downbeat, but coldplay?  maybe they should check into the hotel costes series by stephane pompougnac.  the interior is begging for a more high minded sound.

all in all, a perfect fit.  looking forward to trying more overpriced menu items when the budget allows.  those kobe beef sliders looked amazing.

great job crush.  good luck to you.  i'll be rooting for you each and every friday night from here on out!

    ok, not every friday.
