Dada is the most consistently amazing place I've been to around these parts. I always make sure to bring my visiting from out of town friends and family here, confident the decor and snazzy mojitos will impress!
Bacon wrapped dates. Perfectly decadent. Kinda sad I missed the spelling bee Dada had a few months ago. I hope there are more events like that in the future!
I used to live in the area about 15 years ago and Dada became my favorite spot. Returned on vacation last week and took my girlfriend there and it was as amazing as ever. Such a cool, hip crowd, amazing food and the manager was such a great guy. I really can't recommend this place enough. My only suggestion is that a lot of the drinks are over-sweetened, but amid so many amazing aspects of this place, it seems like a small detail. Service, food and atmosphere are all top-notch, and the prices are pretty reasonable too. Thanks again to the manager for making our stay so nice.
Review Source:Charming, great drinks and appetizers, but they miss the boat on Entrees. My $28.00 Ribeye was half fat and gristle, serve with a precarious sweet and sour sauce. My partner had Chicken del rio, nothing special either, a Tex-Mex interpretation worthy of the now defunct El-Torito. Dessert was banana pudding, which tasted like super market bought. If they can raise the rest of their game to the level of their appetizers and cocktails, they just may get there. Service was good.
Review Source:My friends love Dada's so I often eat here when I visit Delray Beach... maybe I have been spoiled by New Orleans and Austin eateries offering lots of tasty vegetarian/vegan selections, but I just am not that impressed with my meals at Dada's. Â I can say that during my last visit, the soup special was AMAZING- grape and tomato gazpacho that just happened to be vegan friendly (score!!). Â However, the Mediterranean plate wasn't that great: I've had better hummus & baba ganoush & tabouli...
Review Source:I've been here twice and really enjoyed both visits. My first time I had one of their chicken dishes, it was so-so. It was supposed to have a little spice to it which I barely felt and there just wasn't as much flavor as I had hoped. Â However the fondue app was delicious. My second trip I had the shake n bake pork chops which were right up my alley. Nice breading, very flavorful and the chops were cooked just right. Modest but decent wine list and they specialize in mojitos which were too sweet for my liking. I def recommend this place
Review Source:A friend who lives in Ft. Lauderdale told me to check this restaurant out during my recent trip to Delray Beach. Â
As soon as I saw the exterior of Dada, I loved its eclectic, laid back style and chill vibe. Â It is a quaint and comfy house that has been converted into a restaurant with a patio and an indoor bar. Â
Luckily, we had reservations because it was very busy on a Saturday night. Â I did not know to book inside or outside when I made the reservations, so our table was inside. Â Having just arrived from cold and windy San Fran, we decided it would be more pleasant to sit outside and enjoy the warm Florida evening. Â
While we waited for an outdoor table, we sipped on ginger mojitos with sugarcane swivel sticks. Â Let me just note that I don't drink mojitos because I despise sweet drinks, but this one, without the simple syrup, was amazing! Â I instantly became obsessed. Â We also nibbled on the tuna tartare appetizer until our table was ready.
For the main course, I chose the beef short ribs with mashed potatoes. Â It was a huge portion, but super delicious. Â We enjoyed our dinner very much at Dada. Â So much, that we returned again. Â And again. Â We ended up eating there 3 out of the 4 nights we were in Delray Beach! Â The food was fabulous, the wait staff was professional and warm and I'm still thinking about (all of) those ginger mojitos!
Dada's is a definite MUST when we get back to South Florida... Loved it!
We had a reservation for 24 people and when we got there they didn't have all of our tables ready so they seated us a table at a time, as they emptied out. I can appreciate that they were busy but what's the point of making a reservation if they aren't going to reserve the table. It took about half an hour for the whole party to be seated.
The atmosphere is great and the wait staff that we had was polite and as accommodating as they could be. I had the kale caesar salad and gazpacho soup. Both were great.
We have eaten at DaDa twice and enjoyed the
ambience of the outside dining under the big live oak trees.
The menu is focused and service efficient and prompt. My wife
had their fish and I had meatloaf. It was rather uniquely
seasoned and very tasteful.
About half of their seating is inside and the other half outside.
Choose the former when the weather is favorable.
Such an awesome place to eat. Between the staff and the eclectic menu, it totally turns into a fun experience.
To keep it short, the food was amazing. We ordered a pork belly waffle stick which was delicious, and short rib and habanero honey glazed salmon. Both were simply perfect. Good fusion of ingredients in their food, it really is fantastic. Our server Lauren was also really awesome. She knew everything about the menu and described it all in such a way that I wanted to try it all! Even though our bread came out after our entrees, the rest of the service and food totally made up for it. (shit happens)
All in all, I will be back very soon! I recommend to anyone.
Charm with a pulse... that's the best way to describe this Delray Beach gem.
In an era of pretentious, over the top eateries, it was refreshing to dine and enjoy the entire experience from start to finish.
DaDa is a renegade.. an old 1920's historical house converted into an exceptional gastropub. You can eat outside under hundred year old banyan trees, or inside where the dade pine floors still tell stories about life in a bygone era.
A few words to the wise before I get into the food: DaDa is loud... so if it's a quiet, romantic night out you wish, then make sure you sit outside. If you plan on sitting outside, better make a reservation!
Our party of 4 made reservations using <a href="/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2Fopentable.com&s=897c359bd752b4f5407d5ea86453c82be2d1913c8d0b51b18d81fc58f52a6497" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://opentable.com</a> ( Strongly suggested! ) and had a short 2 minute wait once we arrived.
Within minutes, we had a fresh piping hot basket of exceptionally moist cornbread & another bread that was herbal in nature. The wines are very reasonably priced for Delray... but the real story here are the Mojitos... try the blueberry or the coco-loco mojitos... Â truly remarkable. For the appetizers, we chose the Brie, and the Cheese Fondue ( yeah, cheese overdose... for sure ) The brie was one of the better ones i've had. The fondue, piping hot gruyere with fresh veggies, fruit & pretzel bread... silky smooth pleasure at it's best!
Main courses covered the gamut: There is a sense of comfort food here... very evident in the 7 Cheese "Grilled Cheese" a blend of Cheddar / swiss / goat / blue / sheep feta / american / provolone with a piping hot bowl of tomato soup. I had the  Mediterranean Plate - Chick pea salad / cucumber salad / hummus / tabbouleh / grape leaves / warm pita... very flavorful & filling! Another hit was the crab cakes. Most crab cakes at local restaurants are over loaded with breading as filler... not here. The cakes were huge... with massive but tender chunks of blue crab accompanied by 3 different dipping sauces...
Sadly, we never made it to dessert... though we almost gave in & had the smores.. next time!
The wait staff are exceptional here... very personable, and very attentive.
DaDa is an all around great find!
The food was delicious and appropriately sized. The scene was cool and artsy and our waiter was charming. Coming from NY/NJ I find eating in Florida to be overwhelming because of the abundant portion size but this felt like a downtown Lower East Side kind of place. Anyone traveling from up north I totally recommend.
The only reason I didn't give it a five star waiting was because at 10 pm there was a comedy open mic night at which point I promptly asked for the check!
But there isn't anything else bad to say!
Beautiful setting, loved sitting outside with the lights and cozy atmosphere. Â The food was good--we split two appetizers and dessert. Â Loved the mediterranean plate, dada flatbread with beef and blue cheese and the dada smore was amazingly good!
Was a great meal and great place off the main route 1 bustle...
Dada has easily become one of my favorite places on Atlantic Avenue. Their menu and style is reflective of this trendy food scene that has become known to Delray Beach. Their menu changes by season so you know you're getting the best ingredients available. What makes this place unique is their venue, which still has a homey feeling because it used to be a residence.
They have a seasonal candied pork belly appetizer that I've been waiting patiently for it to be brought back. Their crab cakes, which seem to be a regular item on their menu, are also delicious and really well prepared. Their bacon-wrapped dates appetizer is a must for us and pretty much everyone who's ever had it before. Another one of my favorites is their braised beef flatbread-- delicious braised beef, water chestnut, scallions, blue cheese, and a sweet soy guava drizzle-- it's as good as it sounds! Lastly, you don't go to Dada without ordering their s'mores for dessert!
Service here is pretty good-- the staff seems to find the perfect medium between casual and professional. They are all knowledgeable of the menu and I was recommended a great wine to have with my dinner.
Although everyone talks about how cool the inside is because of the unique venue, but I definitely recommend sitting outside in the front or on the garden on the side. The atmosphere out there is perfect, especially when there's live music playing. Oh, speaking of music, even when there's no one performing live, they're always playing really good songs!
On top of it all, Dada is open until 2AM most nights so it's a perfect choice for a late night, romantic dinner date or to just hang out with a couple of friends.
Food: Spectacular. Grilled Brie, Salmon, and some fish as the nightly special that I've never even heard of were all top-notch.
Service: We had a charming and knowledgeable server. Hostesses and bartenders also very friendly. No douchebaggery there.
Atmosphere: Love it. Everything about it. Artsy and hip and a great departure from those awful South Florida suburban chains.
Small complaint: Bathroom sitch needs some help as there are 2 one room bathrooms for a large capacity restaurant meaning you gotta stand outside and wait for a loooong time standing right next to some table enjoying their filet and whatnot. There's something ew about that in a nice place.
Big complaint: They have late night live music, which in itself is not the horrible part. We were told  that "one of our most popular bands is playing at 11." Well we stayed to check them out. The band was called The Hard Richards (hahaha get it?It's a dick joke! EYE ROLL.) If Sublime and Mighty Mighty Bosstones had a baby, it would be these tools. The 90s are long gone, dudes. Why would such an awesome establishment ruin the end of my night with such an assault to my eyes and ears?? Good lord.
Whatever, food was great. Just stick to better live acts, please, Dada.
A "hip" place that's better suited to drinking than eating. Â We got a good seat outside on a lovely night. Â The wait staff was artificial. Â If I heard "party in your mouth" one more time, I would have to gag. Â The meal was only so-so. Â I had all starters: dates, crab cake and gazpacho. Â The mojito was delish. Â I wouldn't go back for the food.
Review Source:Dada was awesome! Â We went here for dinner by a recommendation from the nail tech at the NSpa (at Marriott, also wonderful!). Â Dada is truly a local standby. Â The staff is warm, and very knowledgeable of the food and drinks offered. Â The food was artfully prepared, and you can tell love was incorporated in the presentation. Â Everything was wildly fresh and delicious. Â The tuna tartare, and the kale caesar salad was YUM YUM YUM. Â Foodies will like Dada, as much as your Mom and Dad will :) Â
Lori, our waitress, was awesome too!
Everytime we mentioned that we now live in Delray Beach, almost everyone tells us to try Dada. So we finally did and we took some good friends from out of town. We did make reservations because we heard that place gets packed. And sure enough we are glad we did because there were no empty tables when we got there. We checked in with the hostess and she sat us at our table within 5 minutes.
We all loved it! Although, we were told the Meatloaf was amazing so my hubby ordered it didn't meet our expectations, bummer! It may have been just a bad batch. I did try the special of the blue cheese encrusted filet and it was truly amazing! Another favorite was the blue crab cake and tomato bisque. Then for dessert, my friend ordered the warm banana bread with ice cream and she said it was delicious. I was too full to try it!
We are definitely going back!!!
This past Saturday was my third trip to Dada in Delray Beach -- and I must say, the place NEVER disappoints -- Samantha was our server this time, and she was great, would check up on us at just the right time, and she was never intrusive.
I had the Mango and Melon mojitos this time, and holy cannoli -- I was feeling great after only 2 drinks haha.
We ate the Mediterranean Platter as a starter -- it was good, but next time, I will go back to my staple of the Baked Brie or Dada Dates, they're just better.
7 Cheese Grilled Cheese with Tomato Bisque was my entree -- huge sandwich, I ended up taking the other half home for lunch the next day. Â C got the meatloaf, which was also absolutely wonderful.
Dada is a great place to kick back, and have a few fancy cocktails, soak up the fantastic atmosphere and just people watch.
Definitely a 5 star experience from start to finish, each and every time I've been there.
Dada is a Delray favorite and there is no question why. Â Its just off the Ave, away from the craziness but still close enough to be a part of it, Â the decor is simple but makes a statement, the staff is friendly, and truly cares about giving their customers a great experience and the food is great... If you go to Dada you want to sit outside, its beautiful to be around the gorgeous trees and the artwork and to people watch as people shuffle down Swinton towards the Ave but I have only been to Dada twice now where seating was available outside.. I should start making reservations. Â I recently went with another couple for drinks and dinner on a Sunday evening. Â I ordered the kale salad which was good but pretty lackluster. Â One of our dinner companions ordered the flatbread which had peaches and I believe arugula... That was delicious. Â We also shared the Mediterranean plate and the truffle shuffle for dessert. Â I drank a ginger mojito and a Jai alai. Â The Jai alai is always a safe choice (if its fresh) so I was happy with that. Â The mojito was good as well and I would definitely try it again. Â
I always suggest Dada to friends who are coming from out of town because its beautiful, its unique, and its right in the middle of it all. Â Â As long as Dada can continue to grow with the trends I am sure it will be here for years to come.
Well, the place is so cool. We had a great waiter, Darius who was being trained by Lisa. They were personable and attentive. The food is what dropped their rating.
My friend had an 8oz filet that was smothered in blue cheese, bacon and not sure what else but it really took away from the taste of the filet. She scraped it off but the meat itself was not exceptional. I had Salmon and it was done well and i loved the crispiness the way it was cooked.
We both had broccolli and it was tasteless and there was alot of it. My friend had mashed potatoes which were ok and I had yellow rice. My sides were more like they were from Applebees.
So I would recommend it for the experience and just know that your food is ok.
I've eaten at Dada maybe only 4 times total, the most recent occasion being a few nights ago when some colleagues and I were meeting before a poetry reading at Crest Theater across the street. Dada was buzzing with many Palm Beach Poetry Festival participants, tags flapping on their lanyards as they moved among the tables greeting one another. Dada is the perfect restaurant for a night like that with its arty theme and literary salon-like decor.
The food was delicious and a little pricey but no more so than other places for which you'd pay the same and get food of lesser quality. I loved the mahi with a coriander sauce which our wonderful server, Heath, allowed me to pair with a warm kale that normally isn't served with that dish but which sounded great to me (and was). The wine list is pretty small, but nevertheless offered quite a few wines worth drinking, and even a few higher end wines for a special occasion, which I'm now associating with Dada. Once I attended a dinner there for a colleague who was leaving our fair state, and even with a huge crew of 15 around a gigantic table, the dinner and service were wonderful.
A few criticisms: the plates are nearly as large as some of the dining tables! Where to put your wine and water glasses when three or four of these gargantuan things sweep in, I don't know. The large square ones are the worst. Also, the grilled brie appetizer, while tasty, is hard to serve. It is extremely difficult to slice or tear or break off a bit of the brie that is bound to be a shared item (as it was with us). This is a problem that I'm sure can somehow be solved. If the brie were right in front of me, I could drill down and wrestle off a bit of this cheese more easily, but not so when it's in the middle of the table, demanding a reach.
I nevertheless love Dada and gladly will visit again, sometime perhaps before another occasion dinner when I can just relax and enjoy the funky atmosphere--and maybe a dessert this time.
I'm a girl that loves good outdoor seating, and this place brings it. There is booth-like seating built into a giant tree in the yard of what was once a normal house, and the rest of the tables are interspersed among an eclectic collection of Dada-esque lawn art.
The food. The menu looks amazing, but I've actually never eaten anything off of it because I'm always too tempted by their specials. They also have a mojito menu. I definitely recommend getting something off of the mojito menu.
The biggest recommendation I can give to anyone going to Dada is to befriend your server (which is not hard since they are all incredibly friendly and seem to love anyone who loves food). I think the reason why I never eat off the regular menu is because without fail we end up having a conversation about the specials and I end up just ordering whatever they suggest. I've never been disappointed.
This is definitely the place to go if you want good food, good atmosphere, and a chance to get away from the Atlantic Avenue scene/prices.
Ok ... Long review however, please note none of the other establishments in the area will get one.
We were in Delray 2 wks = 24 Plus places we ate at and need to finish up on reviewing! Not one other restaurant is getting 4 stars!
This was one of two places we went back to ... so that's telling right there! I can't say the food is 4 stars it's more like 3.75 but the over-all experience is for certain 4 stars. I'm a total ball busting hard ass so I can't wait to go back!, and they better still be holding it together! ;)
1. I LOVED the hipster casual servers in Jeans & T's Note** Yet they were extremely attentive**. RANT-----, (are ya with me on this anyone?????) That's a SHOUT OUT to all the RESTAURATEURS' that dressing your servers in stiff, penguin like or corporate mindless looking images is MEANINGLESS, and Ever Soooo Boring!
It seemed clear the servers take their job seriously and from my scrutinized observation of everything going on around me (yes I'm a watcher), it seemed like they enjoyed working there. Now, that's telling! Additionally, both times we were there the mgr came by and asked if everything was OK.
RANT, side bar note to the mgr: (the Latino bartender could drop the attitude & maybe SMILE a bit. Smiling at another guy doesn't mean anything other than "friendliness" .... my interaction with him was brief but I did notice he was chatting up the girls, here's a major life lesson when your tending bar. Â It's the $$$$$ that usually come from the guys! So take a break on flirting, make the drinks and even if it's a guy act like your not a sexist, cause it's Very annoying to be treated with less kindness and attention when your not potential booty!
Back to ..... Ahh the Great Food!
Please, try The Crab Cake, if crab cake is on the menu it makes it to my table. This was one of the best I've ever had and I'm way up past triple digits. We both had specials (seafood and they were very good not amazing but very good). Second time we went my friend had steak, she is French and she said "Oh this steak is perfect"! (I thought I was going to fall off my seat 'cause for an ex-Parisian to say perfect on steak, trust me it's rare)
I had a Flat Bread, & a 12 cheese grilled cheese w/tom. soup sandwich. The crab cake came again for the table ;).... I loved the flat bread, my friend said it was too healthy and vegetarianesque for her, but as I said to her "you didn't order it"!, I really enjoyed it, it was light and tasty! The 12 cheese (yes, I am almost sure it was twelve, I said "twelve", Grilled Cheese Umm It's so over the top anyone who can eat that in one sitting gets an award. It's served with an acidic (rather than cream based) tomato soup which is a great balance on the richness of the sandwich, good planning chef!. Again, Ubber rich! It was lunch/snack the following day.
The atmosphere can't be beat, the other pretentious establishments on the Delray strip just take themselves (visually) way too seriously!! Remember It's F- - - ing 90 degree's outside...!
Anyway, in my mind Dada gets it! The place is an old house, think 1920's wood frame, wrap around porch, Florida historic, & with 100 yr old trees all around the house. They have outdoor dining which is charming! (Although my Northern blood must have been sending out a come suck me dry scent cause i took some serious bites) Yet, on the flip side my friend didn't get a bite ...hate her!
Inside is a GREAT fireplace and I can imagine in winter on the one or two days it gets below 50 degree's it's great to see that old HUGE fireplace going.
The interior of the restaurant has Lots of eclectic art on the walls, great to see the diversity! The rooms inside, I think there are three in total all had a different ambience but come together cohesively visually. The place had an ever so slight, old world bordello/speak- easy feeling to it and reminded me just slightly of a wonderful restaurant called "Chez Josephine's" that was owned, no less  than by Josephine Baker's grandson. If you don't know who she was please Google her, Wikipedia her, because she's history en Francaise and the United States.
Merci, Dada, see you in a few weeks!
Excellent food and ambiance!
The stuff dates wrapped in bacon was crispy and a robust of flavor. The lamb shank was so tender and garnished with crispy beans with fluffy mash potatoes and a superb sauce. (be sure to suck the bone marrow out the the shank bones).
Our daily special, the seafood calm pasta was so an amazing combination of fresh cut pasta, sun dried tomatoes, kale and an exquisite sauce.
Desert was a toasted banana bread with caramelized bananas, caramel sauce with a fresh and fluffy ice cream.
A true winner!
Met some friends here on a rainy day. There is valet parking available or street parking nearby. Their seating had been pretty much cut in half since they have a great outside area so they were scrambling a bit.
It is basically an old 1920's home which has been remodeled into a restaurant. Each room has different decor and vibe. There was no place to wait really since it was crowded given the rain. We stood around here and there awkwardly until they came to get us (about 20 minutes). The bar was full too. I did see a party of 2 seating in a table for 4 and a table for 2 open with a party of 4 waiting. That was bad planning on the host's part.
Our table was on the small side. We kept moving things around and piling them high to make space for the menu, appetizers, drinks, etc. but we managed.
We started with the bacon wrapped dates with goat cheese and chorizo in a tomato confit. That was really good. We also had the brie as an appetizer and the ribs. The brie itself was very good. It comes with bread, apples, strawberries and grapes. I think it was missing a side of some sort of sweet jam. Not sure why I expected the ribs to be sweet but I did. I was surprised when I bit into it and the were very peppery. They were also warm and not hot.
My friends shared the skirt steak as an entree which they seemed to like. My husband and I shared the pumpkin ravioli with artichoke and the grilled cheese. The ravioli dough was just so thick that I could barely taste the pumpkin. The parts that did have pumpkin were enjoyable but it was just not enough for me. It was also not hot. The seven cheese (Cheddar, Swiss, Goat, Blue, Sheep Feta, American & Provolone) grilled cheese was the highlight of the night for me (along with the dates). That is worth going back for! I did not care much for the tomato bisque it came with. It was too watered down but wow was that grilled cheese just out of this world.
The desserts were simply spectacular. The s'mores and the dulce de leche pots could have been dinner all on it's own. If you have a sweet tooth, as I most certainly do, this is a must try. We ended with perfect cortaditos.
There were a couple of things that we did not like. There is only one bathroom (to my knowledge) and there was constantly a line for it. It was also very hot. When I mentioned it to the waiter (because all four of us were sweating) he said that he gets that a lot but it's an old house and that it was already at 65. They need to revise that because we do live in South Florida. Who wants to go out on a weekend night and sit in an uncomfortable sticky hot ambiance? At around 11pm, the front area which once had dining was taken over by a band and the tables and chairs were removed. I liked the band but given the small space it was REALLY loud. Night club loud. I am not sure if at some point all of the remaining tables are removed and it becomes just a bar. Â As long as there is dining going on though, it is impossible to have a conversation so be advised. Â
Other than that it was a great experience overall and I would go back if ever in the area maybe during cooler months to enjoy the outside seating.
Atlantic Ave has changed over the past couple decades... some good some bad but one of the better additions to the area is Dada; Â a restaurant transformed from one of the many cottage homes from way back when. Â
The atmosphere was artsy and the ambiance was upbeat. Â A white picket fence, string/accent lighting, wood bench seating, tropical landscaping, old chicago brick paths and a wrap around porch all contributed to the laid back exterior. Â The interior decor was as equally pleasant. Â Various pieces of framed art, murals of ants walking the walls and ceiling, grand wood bar, great use of millwork (door frames and such), cozy rock fireplace; all making the interior comfortable and homey. Â
Normally I'd complain about having to wait around beyond the reservation time, but since the rain pushed the outside customers to dine inside, I let it slide this time. Â
We began our double date with some shared appetizers:
*** Grilled Brie (nice presentation with fruit and toasted bread, good but lacked
flavor;  perhaps the inclusion of fig paste, honey or something sweet would
   improve the dish)
*** Korean BBQ Ribs with hoisin glaze (again good but I was expecting a
sweeter taste;  hoisin sauce is sometimes salty and/or spicy but always
sweet and the ribs were far from sweet)
*** Dada Dates (bacon wrapped dates stuffed with goat cheese and chorizo...
hands down winner of the appetizers)
For our main course:
*** our guests had the Butternut Squash Ravioli with thyme cream sauce and
the 7 Cheese Grill Cheese and added tomatoes and bacon (both looked
   great)
*** my girl and I shared a Flat Iron Steak with tomato confit and a salsa verde
dipping sauce (great cut of meat, cooked perfectly, the salsa verde was
   excellent, overall excellent dish)
*** we also shared "another" Dada Dates order with our steak (delicious the
   second time around as well)
The girls would not skip dessert, so for dessert:
*** Dulce De Leche (served in a glass pressure-release jar; delicious but
   very rich)
*** S'mores (also served in a glass pressure-release jar: not as good but not
too shabby, but I think we were expecting more from both)
*** Cappuccino & Espresso (both done extremely well)
As we wrapped up our dinner experience, tables were removed from the front dining area and a band set up. Â Once the band began to belt out some tunes (very reminiscent of the Pulp Fiction soundtrack), it was our cue to call it a night. Â Way too loud and conversation was futile at this point.
As much as I enjoyed my visit, small issues didn't go unnoticed; although nothing stood out as a "red flag warning" to leave (such as serving the food a bit warmer and turning the A/C cooler). Â Overall, I would say I had a great first experience at Dada and with so many more tempting dishes to try, I plan on returning very soon.
Came here late on a Saturday with a group and shared apps and dessert.
Dada is really homey; a charming old house has been converted into a cozy restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating. Â They often have live music and poetry readings. Â The food is fresh and delicious and they have very innovative cuisine.
We ordered the crabcake, burrata mozzarella, Dada flatbread and the warm banana bread. Â The crabcake was was pretty much pure blue crab, it was luscious and I didn't even detect any filler holding it together. Â It came with a succulent aioli, as well as a sriracha and habanero sauce on the side. Â The flatbread didn't sound like the ingredients would meld together well (braised beef, water chestnuts, blue cheese and guava?) Â but it was the perfect combination of flavors and tasted really great. Â The incredibly creamy burrata was served on crispy French bread slices with a very mild tasting tomato-basil bruschetta and was simply perfect. Â The warm banana bread was accompanied by caramelized bananas, caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream and was a perfect way to end our little meal. Â
I have eaten here before and have never had a bad meal. Â The menu items all have a bit of a twist to them, like the 7-cheese grilled cheese and the Shake-n-Bake pork chops with balsamic butterscotch onions.
This place is perfect for casual dining or a romantic meal, and I'd highly recommend it to anyone!
Dada's is an experience.
First the front entrance is a wrap around (it's on the corner of Swinton before Atlantic) it's like an Alice of Wonderland set up. These gnarly trees wrap around the benches, cool random props everywhere and light and airy. It has a few seats on  the wraparound porch, poetry of William Wordsworth....
It's a fun, rock, edgy atmosphere based on the servers... I have eaten here many times... Food is fresh, pretty local and always expect a few good staples, salmon, chicken... be bold my friends - go with Chef Bruce Feingold's explosive flavors on meats, fish, and desserts!
Dada's in Delray is a must... Never had a negative experience... the food is amazing, the servers are excellent, to the point where they will be honest if they like or dislike something (I hate when servers say, everything is good or, I didn't taste it...) I like when a chef has the staff sample everything before service, it's so important.
Love it... if you're in the area - just do it!!!
Awesome location, awesome drinks, awesome food, awesome service, awesome decor, awesome 5 star restaurant all the way.
I really love this funky little 1924 style home converted into a ultra hip restaurant with unique drinks and creative menu offerings.
They have free (two hour) valet parking in front of the restaurant, indoor or outdoor seating, long waits on the weekends, and service with a better than anyone else attitude.
Not only is the food the star here, the location, service, drinks, and experience is all designed to offer a fantastic dining experience unlike anything else in Delray Beach.
They have an extensive mojito drink menu and I chose the cotton candy mojito and it was delicious and sweet. I then ordered diet Cokes (not the brand name Coke, but some house brand) that was smooth and lower in carbonation.
The Crab Cake appetizer and special dipping sauces was out of this world and one of the best I have ever had, the Ahi Tuna Tartare appetizer was equally stunning and outstanding in every way.
I ordered the Caramel Spiced Chicken as my main dish and the skin on chicken breast with a caramelized serrano chili glaze was melt in your mouth good. I had no idea chicken could taste this good.
For dessert, everything looked incredible so I went for the Dada Smores which was graham cracker crust with rich dark chocolate mousse and marshmellow meringue served in an old fashioned mason jar. The couple at the table next to me was so impressed, they had to ask what I ordered and then placerd the same order.
If you have not been to Dada, take my word on this one....stop what you are doing and go try it for yourself....NOW!
