If you haven't been here for awhile and you decided to go in one day you'd think you were in the wrong place. They remodeled the place and it looks more modern. I know some of you had a love hate thing going on with the shag carpeting but it's now gone. They also have 2 big flat screen tvs behind the bar on the wall. Go check it out you'll be surprised how different it looks now.
Review Source:Shag carpeting on the walls. Â F'ing great. Â I would give this place 5 stars if it wasn't across from a police station. Â That could be a problem if you want to get really f'ed up here. Â And you will want to. Â It is very small, it is attached to a shitty hotel, the bartender was nice and didn't bother us too much. Â The clientel is all walks of life. Â I like that you could go here on a tuesday night with one or two people and even if the place was empty the room would not seem very empty. Â Its really that small. Â And the shag makes it look even smaller.
Review Source:this place is a trip!!
brown plaid shag carpeting on the walls, old school gold veined mirrors on the wall, kinda reminds me of a creepy old mans basement!.very small motel bar, limited selection of alcohol and normally frequented with an older crowd.I give it 3 stars cuz ya cant beat their drink prices,..$2.75 for a Gin and 7-Up in a pint glass!
Growing up in Niles I drove past this place countless times. If you drive past the Niles police station you know the place: it's in the Travellodge that's at the corner of Waukegan and Milwaukee. After a night of imbibing at a friends house nearby we got the nerve to check it out.
For some reason, before we got here I had this feeling there would have carpet on the walls. I was right- shag plaid carpeting. I have the feeling that if I was really craving a cigarette, I could have sucked on the wall and been sated. The crowd seemed nice enough, although I was feeling some sideways stares when we walked in. Bartender was very friendly. There's also a mp3 jukebox- nice.
