Spicy bbq chicken wings. 14 pieces for $17. Â I can smell the barbecue. The sweetness was overpowered by the spicy heat. Beyond medium heat I'd get at Great Seas, buffalo Wild Wings, or Hooters. This was equivalent to a habenero. Numbing. The chicken tasted marinated. Good crisp, salt, tender, juicy after chicken rested for few minutes. It took thirty minutes for order to be complete. Wore glove and used chopsticks. Too messy to eat. Pickled daikon, strawberry milk from H Mart, or coconut water did not kill the Scoville. Bought ranch dressing. Poured half a bottle to "rinse" the sticky sauce off crispy batter. It helped a bit. The spice gave me heartburn. I will go back to try non spicy. Number 2 recommended for kids.
Review Source:Good stuff.
While I don't think the size of the wings is a complete ripoff, with tax it was almost $19 for a box of chicken. I'd say I got around 10?
We ordered a box of split original and garlic. Honestly, I'm not sure which was which... one was quite sweet and very flavorful, the other not so much. I suspect the nonflavorful one was garlic but completely devoid of any garlicky goodness. Â They come with pickled radishes, which are absolutely essential for cutting the fattiness of the chicken, just simple but very good. The honey mustard on the side is fairly ordinary... doesn't go well with the flavors on the chicken I don't think.
huge plus that it's fried fresh, and it's hot and crispy when it comes to you because it's not totally drenched in an overwhelming sauce (I think the order I got had significantly less sauce than I'm seeing on some of these pictures...) So I'd place my order and wander around Hmart for ~20min. Pretty convenient.
Beware that they close much earlier than Hmart does. I'd guess around 7 just judging by the times I've visited Hmart to see it closed/open, but don't quote me on that time.
3.5, mainly because of the sucky garlic one.
