Darress Theatre

No Folks, the Darress Theatre isn't closed as previously reported...

Friends of mine know I'm a big Beatles fan and a couple years ago they bought us tickets to see Beatlemania here at Darress Theatre.  The show was absolutely great. And we all had a wonderful time...including the kids all getting autographs from the 'Beatles'.  

This historic little theater used to be a vaudeville theater and has been around since 1919.  The place is really cute, but you aren't going to get full-fledged concerts here.  What you will get are a lot of small shows, movies (especially old movies-check out a screening of the original King Kong in April 2013), comediens, local talent, and a great place to have fundraisers.

I really love this little place and I hope they keep it going for a long time.  Yeah, it isn't a real modern theater and it could use some reservations, but it has class and personality...
