Icing is way too sweet. Sometimes I can feel granules of sugar in my mouth. Don't like that. Sometimes the butter is overpowering. Don't like that either. These cupcakes just aren't for me. I prefer moderately sweet cupcakes with smooth icing... cue Tasterie Truck.

Hell Yeah!  Cup Cakes on the mobile.  Damn wish I'd thought of that idea!  Nice doing Denver Cupcake Truck.  If you sold stock, I'd buy the preferred voting kind!  Wow, the Red Velvet cupcake is da Bomb!  Take it from someone born souf of da Mason Dixon line!  And, get this they have gluten free cupcakes!  How can you have a bad day with cupcakes as awesome as theirs.  If you're on a diet, don't try it.  They are addictive.  I think one day I had 3 cupcakes thinking (when I bought them I'd eat them over 2 days or so.  I think they were all gone in 2 -3 hours.  The chocolate mocha is incredible.  I learned about them from a work celebration.  My office ordered them to drive by and bought cupcakes for everyone.  Huge moral booster.  Who can have a bad day with cupcakes as awesome as theirs.  Oh wait I already said that.  They rock!

This place just makes me want to say holy balls. Yes, it's THAT good and now know why so many people have given them five stars. I love supporting local business. And I love cupcakes so two birds with one stone if you will.

Support I did by getting one of their specials of the day -The Elvis, complete with peanut butter, banana and real frickin bacon bits not only in the frosting but also in the cupcake itself. Again I state, real bacon. My mouth hadn't experienced a joy like this in a long time. It was total mouth-gasm league, well played, Denver Cupcake Truck, well played.

Finally! I was never able to chase this cupcake vendor down. Recently at a food truck event they were there so naturally I ordered a cupcake first. The Denver Snowball sounds interesting, but not as demanding as the Bacon Chocolate cupcake. It turns out to be the best bacon-added dessert I've ever had (I've had bacon maple sundaes before, meh). The bacon bits are tender and flavorful but not overwhelming. Their frosting is very soft and not as outrageous as Gigi's cupcakes'

Oh. Em. Gee ... I normally would not give a 5-star review on the basis of trying just one thing, but the Elvis cupcake deserves it.  Tender banana cake.  Airy, not-too-sweet peanut butter frosting.  A generous sprinkling of crumbled bacon (and yellow sprinkles) on top.  The King would definitely approve.

2012 Review #215: Warning: the authenticity of this review was influenced by large amounts of free wine.

Denver Cupcake Truck was at the UnWined event I went to a few weeks ago. I should mention that we did buy tickets for the event, but the tickets included all the food-truck food we wanted, which the food trucks provided at their own pace, so I don't have much knowledge about the cost of these cupcakes. Denver Cupcake Truck provided mini-cupcakes, and had them in giant tupperware containers. I bet they had several thousand cupcakes with them.

The night we were there, they were featuring Red Velvet, Lemon, and Maple Bacon. Now, I just don't like Red Velvet, even if Sugar Bakeshop temporarily got me to enjoy it, so I went with Lemon. My husband and I have both tried many a maple bacon/chocolate bacon/chocolate maple bacon, cupcake, and most fail. The bacon is too smokey, the flavors aren't balanced, and it seems more like an effort in originality than an effort in flavor. Boy, does the DCT get it. The Maple Bacon was truly incredible. This was the only cupcake I've had (Besides my own) that has bacon baked into the cupcake. You'd like it might be tough, or disrupt the texture, but no. The light maple cupcake held onto the bacon very well and that created a great flavor combo. And all maple buttercream kept the bacon from being too, well, bacon-y. My lemon cupcake was also light, with a delicate and consistent crumb, and the cake and frosting both had bright lemon flavors. Also, none of the cake stuck to the wrappers, which I find happens more with mini-cupcakes.

My husband enjoyed this truck so much we ended up coming back later in the evening, and saw people getting 4-5 cupcakes at a time, so it was definitely popular. We expressed our praise to the owner and she seemed to know she had a great product, though not at all in an arrogant way. She was nice, talked with us for a few moments, and was definitely the type of business owner I like supporting. In short- follow this truck!

I love walking to Civic Center park in the summer to visit The Denver Cupcake Truck.  Here is a bakery with masterful recipes: the cakes are moist and with just the right crumbly texture, and the frostings are flavorful, whipped, frothy confections.  They are pretty to look at and can be served up solo in dainty little white boxes.  Cupcakes are reasonably priced and rotate throughout the summer - the Denver Snowball (with cocoa and coconut) is delicious and not overly sweet.  The red velvet cupcake is also a decadent treat that won't leave you with a sugar hangover.  Zippy Lemon is phenomenal with an iced tea.

I'm not sure why other food trucks don't head down the food desert that is the DTC, but the Denver Cupcake Truck made the trek and sold out in record time.

Now, the important part, the sweets. I'm out of words. Wow? Holy sh*t? Dear god? All suitable overly dramatic descriptions of these cupcakes. The red velvet cupcake was my choice on this day and it did not disappoint. Just what I needed to get through the rest of my Wednesday at work.

Lesson to the other food trucks in Denver? It's time to stop servicing downtown all the time and head down where there are plenty of hungry, willing and able people just like me who want some damn good food. And desserts, as this truck has proven.

I look forward to attending any food truck event if Clementine, the Denver Cupcake Truck, is going to be there!  She is always full of tasty treats.  My favorite is the Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting.  The Triple Chocolate Overload is great, too.  Chocolatey cupcake with fudgy frosting speckled with chocolate chips and sprinkles - mmm.  Zippy Lemon and Red Velvet are great, too. Daily mystery flavors are always a fun surprise - Maple Bacon is yum!

The other Cake Crumbs Bakery Truck, Clyde, has now turned into....wait for it...a PIE TRUCK!  Can't wait to visit him, review to follow soon.

Since I am typically trapped in my Aurora office building during the week, I rarely have a chance to chase down one of these cake-toting trucks.  So, when I hit Jazz in the Park at City Park during the summer months, I'm sure to stop by The Denver Cupcake Truck that is always parked near the Pavilion.  What better on a warm day than jazz music by the lake, homemade sangria strategically poured into a big water bottle and sweet, sweet cupcakes?!  The lemon cupcake is phenomenal...the curd in the middle just seals the deal for me.  The red velvet (I'm a sucker for rv and cream cheese frosting...and these people do it right) and pistachio (delicious...with nuts on top!!) are awesome, as well.  Can't wait for some more tasty treats this summer!

Don't even bother with the other shops. I've tried them and this one is as good as it gets. We ordered a couple dozen for the Bronco's play off game decorated with a little orange "T" resting on a bright blue "Bow" nestled in a cloud of white cream cheese frosting on top of tangy orange flavored cup cakes. It was a hit at the party! Ok, maybe we were all looking for a little sugar hit after half time to lift our spirits - but these little gems did not disappoint. And here's the really great part. I called ahead and ordered them earlier in the week. Alissa (sp) met my call with lots of great info, selection and suggested the time to pick them up up on Saturday based on where we live and where their store is located. I called them on our way to pick them up to confirm (this is not my first rodeo ordering and picking things up at any establishment - enough said) and was again met with a pleasant "yep, they're ready, we'll see you soon".  I walked in, there they were, as cute as ever, ready to go. I also ordered two cupcakes gluten free for a friend and they were decorated exactly the same but in tiny little individual boxes so we could tell them apart. I was so impressed by the great service. This place is really getting it right!

OMG the cupcakes were divine and the frosting perfect. Not synthetic tasting but just plain good. As for the price, I winced slightly at the "artistic" charge for the special design - but it was very much worth it. I don't mind paying for something out of the ordinary and these indeed are "out of the ordinary".

The place is a little hard to find smack dab in the middle of a neighborhood but it looks like a nice little breakfast/lunch/coffee place too. Plenty of room to sit and enjoy a treat!

I always *think* about getting and exotic cupcake flavor and then go for the chocolate cupcake. What can I say, I figure even if it isn't that good, it is chocolate right?

So faced with all kinds of yummy selection from the cupcake truck I went with chocolate overload.  Man, they got the name of that cupcake right!  I am still on a sugar high from the chocolate cake, chocolate frosting and chocolate chips on top.  It was great (good cake to icing ratio and very moist).  My mom got the vanilla sparkle and liked hers too (she said just the right amount of sweet).  I also love that they put each cupcake in their own individual box (no paper bags! Yay!).

I will be chasing down the truck if I see it again.  Maybe I will go more exotic next time, but at least I know that I can easily get my chocolate fix anytime when I see that white and blue truck!

In the past couple of weeks I've tried a couple of different cupcake trucks and this one is by far better.  Although I still find myself trying to get my mind around paying $2.75 for one or $10 for four cupcakes.

I went out on a limb and we tried 4 different ones.  Lemon, Pumpkin, Snowball, Pistachio.  I think that the lemon one was my favor.  With a nice amount of lemon curd inside - very nice.  I think the snowball one was my least favorite.  It left me wanting something a little more.  perhaps if it had a coconut cream filling this would elevate it a bit - I thought it was nothing more than a vanilla cupcake with chocolate frosting with some coconut on top, just a little lacking.

The pumpkin was nice although a little dry - cream cheese frosting was very nice and was a nice compliment to the cake.  My second favorite was the Pistachio.  It has large pieces of nuts and then there is a back note of cherries or something like that - I couldn't quite put my finger on it.

So, I think my final thoughts on paying $2.50 per cupcake is this is okay - it helps keep my willpower in check and only allows me to buy only one cupcake if I'm in the cupcake mood - instead of making and having 24 cupcakes in my house.

On note of sadness - I was very very sad when I walked up to the truck and they were not selling maple bacon cupcakes.  I had heard raves and really wanted to try one but it just wasn't meant to be.

This is definitely the best cupcake around. I have tried the cupcakes both from the Cake Crumbs bakery, and fresh off the truck, and I must say that these are my favorite cupcakes in Denver. The lemon cupcake is my absolute favorite with lemon curd on the inside, cream cheese frostingand lemony sugar sprinkles on top. YUM. I also love the vanilla cupcake! My boyfriend is a huge chocolate lover, so the chocolate overload is his cupcake of choice with chocolate cake, chocolate frosting and chocolate chips on top! One of my good friends swears by the red velvet cupcakes, she has been known to eat two in one sitting! It is definitely worth the effort to check these guys out on Twitter so you can catch them while they are on the road!

[SIDENOTE] The mocha is killer as well. Best frosting in the WORLD.

While I personally have not laid eyes on the cupcake truck, a coworker spotted it last Tue at Civic Center Eats, called me, and brought me back a cupcake (as I was not allowed to leave the building while with a client).  Of the options he read to me over the phone, I selected the lemon cupcake.  it had bits of lemon curd in the middle that were phenomenal.  The frosting had sprinkles and sugar on top, adding a lovely textural component along with the yummy taste.  The whole cupcake was a little slice of heaven.  The frosting-to-cake ratio was exceptional and didn't leave me wishing I had more of either.

I LOVE cupcakes.  It's difficult for me to find a cupcake I don't like, but some are definitely better than others.  The one cupcake I had would definitely bring me back looking for more.

First tried the Denver Cupcake Truck at Civic Center EATS--and, fyi, they are only out there on Tuesdays!

Love love love the carrot cake cupcake, most certainly because of the frosting.  I'm definitely a fan of cream cheese frosting, because it generally tastes less chemical-y than some other icings often are. Consequently, I didn't like the vanilla cupcake... too much of that chemical taste.

Love the look of the cupcakes and the cute little boxees they put them in. I don't believe these were the best cupcake I've ever had, but the convenience of baked desserts from a traveling truck is definitely the selling point in my eyes!

I am giving this a 5 because I was so excited to finally go to the truck myself and eat a glorious cupcake.  I am not into cupcakes really.  I can take or leave them but the cupcake I thought was yummy.  Chocolate and a mocha topping.  Maybe a Denver something?

I got there and it was parked near Mikes2Kitchen.  There was a line at Mikes so I got the cupcake first.  Glad I did as most flavors were gone
as was the daily special.  A  Lavender flavored cupcake that was suppose to be very pretty.  The truck left before I had finished my lunch. Phew! I would have been so disappointed had I waited.  I think I would have followed it to wherever it was headed.

So today the Denver Cupcake truck is very close to work but I splurged yesterday and it was enough.  I could have gone but I am working.  Now if I had not had one yesterday I would have been tempted to leave and go get one.

I think I am now a cupcake fan.  Hope I don't find the truck too close to work or home often.

I was excited when I came across The Denver Cupcake Truck last week. I've been following them online for quite awhile but we're never in the same place at the same time!

I love cupcakes and these did not disappoint ! These cupcakes are not huge, they are your average sized cupcakes, but they flavor is great!  The lemon and Red Velvet were my favorite !

You know, I didn't understand this cupcake zeitgeist at all - I mean, they're CUPCAKES. Why the hysteria?

That said, the concept seemed fun, and my three year old got a big kick out of the idea of trying to "find" the Cupcake Truck, so we drove down from Westminster once Clementine was parked somewhere we knew how to get to.

My sincerest apologies for the long time I spent dogging the people who were cupcake devotees. Seriously, I get it now. OH. MY. GOD. These are cupcakes like no other. The Red Velvet is better than pretty much any other baked good I've ever had (the sugar and silver topping is awesome - we just had them on Valentines Day with sprinkles and hearts on top, and it wasn't as good, sorry Cupcake Family).

You can't beat the fun factor of chasing down a vintage van full of sweets, and what you get when you find them is worth every turn on your GPS. We've come down regularly from Westminster since the first time, and are so glad that they're back on the road after the brouhaha with the city!

Sorry cupcake truck.  The last time I visited you, (before the city decided to make you a news story), the cupcake was just good.  But I really don't think it's your fault.  My tastes buds have changed from sweet to salty.  Though I still love your lemon cupcake.  Maybe add soft pretzels?  Or a salty caramel, that I will run after you for.

But the people are so nice and helpful.  I will still visit when I see you again.

The Cupcake Gods truly smile upon this vehicle.

Truthiness time: Refined sugar and I don't get along very well (same with chocolate), but we all have our exceptions. Godiva have mercy upon my soul.

Though I feel like complete crap for an hour or so after I indulge in any cupcake, the time it takes to eat one of these (usually a few seconds to a few minutes) is worth it.  As George Costanza - arbiter of all wisdom - would say about the sugar thing "it's not you, it's me", so I must say with Da Truck Man. Not his fault my constitution doesn't groove with cane.

If Monsieur cupcake can make me buy and eat his delights when I know I'm betraying my very body and soul, then I'd say he's not half bad.  Call it a pact with the Devil's Food.

Can't believe it took me so long but I FINALLY got to visit Cupcake Truck at the November First Friday and it did not disappoint.

I got the Red Velvet and it took every last bit of mental effort to not eat it before dinner at Hops and Pie.

I couldn't wait one more second and I ate it after dinner at the table and it was amazing. Not dry and didn't have too much frosting which is where I usually find cupcake weaknesses. It was simply delicious!

Thanks Cupcake Truck. Come to Glendale!!

Dear Clementine & Clyde-I love you!!  I stalk you on Facebook & now have my husband hot on your tail as well.  I'm happy to hear you are getting a tri-county license and hope to see you out in the burbs where I am stuck working.

I can't wait to try more of your flavors, but my favorite remains the pistachio.  I have to eat it in private-it's a special moment.  Nothing beats that first decadent bite.  I have to say OMG out loud!  The icing can't be beat, it's not sugary, but very rich.  Then you hand roll it in sweet chocolate chips and bits of pistachio.  HEAVEN!!

Each cupcake has amazing flavor and richness.  And each cupcake is hand rolled in a lovely topping such as coconut or sprinkles.  I love the unique mystery flavors-Maple Bacon, Strawberry & Lime-crazy good!  The standard fixtures you have chosen for your trucks are just as good-Chocolate Overload, Rockin Red Velvet or the infamous Denver Snowball.

Thank you for what you do and what you have done for the Denver food truck scene.  You seem to have started something quite special. I wish you so much more success and hope to see you soon!

    Yours Truly,
    Angie

    Awwwwww, Yeahhhhh!!!

So, I'm no longer a Clementine Virgin!!  I have tasted my first, and it was GOOOOOD!  Pumpkin Chocolate Chip with Cream Cheese Icing, Dusted with Sugar Crystals.

    FREAKING.  YUM.

    I mean, serious Yum.

I had the conversation with the proprietors that I don't necessarily like *cupcakes* per se, but I enjoy the *idea* of them.  Then I took a taste of the Pumpkin Chocolate Chip.  Then I took another bite.  Then I stole some icing.  Then I went back and told them that, apparently, I like cupcakes.

    Omg! Cupcakes! Yay!

Is it crazy to drive all over town to follow a mobile food vendor? If it is, then lock me up, because I would drive to China if I could get one of those pistachio cupcakes (that's right...China).

I just discovered the Justice League of Food and their gathering at the Bag Factory. It was such fun, and it got me even further into this gourmet food truck craze.

I know that hyperbole is used on the Yelp more often than the word "ambiance", but the pistachio cupcake is literally the best baked good I have ever eaten.

If your not already following @CakeCrumbsTruck on the Twitter (or you're not even on the Twitter) login my friends. I promise you'll thank me.

Experienced the heavenly edibles of this terrific truck at the first Justice League of Street Food this August. Happened to be the first few in line (!) so I snapped up a lemon zinger (lemon cream cheese frosting, yellow cake with a lemon curd center). I was starving so I ate it immediately. It was still cold from the fridge, but I didn't care. Delish.

However, a few hours later, a friend gave me most of his (second) maple bacon (flavor of the day) cupcake. By then, it had reached room temperature...WHAT A DIFFERENCE! I thought my cupcake was good before, but now I will never eat a chilled Cupcake Truck cupcake! Though it takes considerable willpower, let it warm up. You won't be sorry. Oh, and never, ever skip the maple bacon should you see that flavor offered. It's pure genius.

Really, all I need to say is Total Mouth Orgasm!!!!

But that's not all I will say.  I'll say this, too - Clementine turned my shitty day upside down.  Superman, your cupcakes are my kryptonite. No really, Superman was manning the truck today, and he was magnificent in rescuing my notsogood day.  I had to be honest when he asked how my day was, and he chuckled when I told him I was having a shitty day.  He laughed as if he knew that my day was about to get MUCH better.

I lucked into the truck as I crossed Lawrence on my way to Biker Jim's.  Not only was there no line at the truck, but it looked like he had perhaps just arrived, AND he was parked in a nice shady spot under the walking bridge from the Tabor Center to the Westin.  At first I thought it was a mirage, because I have never heard about the truck without also hearing about or seeing a huge line.  Again, there was NO LINE!  I walked right up, ordered up 4 cakes, discussed my day in 2 words or less, and was on my way to grilled roadkill in less than 30 seconds.

I'm saving the red velvet cakes for later.  I did chow down on the mocha cake like there was no tomorrow.  I inhaled it as if I've been breathing cupcake my entire life.  It was mocha bliss!

Anyway, I highly recommend heading to The Denver Cupcake Truck.  If there is no line, even better.

I finally had the opportunity to try a cupcake from the Denver Cupcake Truck!  I've seen the truck all over town... but because I'm lazy, never signed up for their twitter feed.  Lucky for me, a friend subscribes, so last night we were expecting to see Clementine at the JL of Street Food, but it wasn't there -- it was at Skyline Park giving away free cupcakes.  Score!

The man in the truck was kind enough to give each of us two flavors (they were out of chocolate by the time we got up to the window) but that's OK, I got Red Velvet with cream cheese frosting and a Vanilla with fluffy white frosting (that's a flavor, by the way, "Fluffy White.")  I'm someone who typically likes more cake than frosting, but the trend at the cupcake places around town is to load up the cake with an equal amount of frosting.  Fine.  I just scrape it all off (heresy).

I will say this.  The cupcakes I had last night were the most moist, delicous I've had from any cupcake vendor -- this means that after I hit "post" here, I'm going to sign up for the Cupcake Truck's facebook fan page so I can find these guys again and again.

Weird that I was not at the Civic Center or anything, just randomly came from the Gastro Cart and stumbled upon the Denver Cupcake Truck....rolling dessert.

The owner was great to talk to.  He had a variety of interesting cupcakes, and was hesitant to tell us what the mystery cupcake was since he was out.   I think a lady forced it out of him and he said it was chocolate raspberry.  No wonder.

I walked away with a red velvet cupcake which, by the way, was the perfect size for someone like me with not much of a sweet tooth.  The cupcake was great.  Good find.

Oh I am so happy, I finally made a visit to the Denver Cupcake Truck happen. I have been cursing myself for working in the Tech Center instead of downtown now that downtown is super cool and home of most of the Cupcake Truck visits as well as other awesome stuff that we certainly didn't have five years ago... but I digress. Finally the location of the truck and my schedule allowed me to try it out for myself.

First of all the truck is SO stinkin' cute!! Oh I just love it!!! It was way cuter than I expected, it's like a little food cart on wheels. Freaking adorable. Second, the line was not too long - maybe 10 minutes at the most? So that was not so bad. Third, Sean (Mr. Cupcake Truck) was so friendly and nice, and he even said he will be coming to the Tech Center soon so I will not feel like I am in Cupcake Siberia for much longer. And of course the cupcake was fabulous. I had the vanilla party (I think that's what it's called - vanilla cake, vanilla frosting, and tons of sprinkles). It was amazing. For some reason a cupcake out of a truck just tastes better. I am so happy that I found the truck!!!

Clementine is my friend... on Facebook anyway! I've followed the Denver Cupcake Truck (aka Clementine) for a couple of months and look forward to reading the posts each day to see where the truck is headed, and what they have created for the mystery flavor of the day. I think the concept is great, and love the grassroots feel of their marketing via Facebook and Twitter.

The cupcakes I've tried have always been wonderful. The Denver Snowball was a tasty chocolate-frosting and coconut topped dream come true! I've had tastes of a few mystery flavors (strawberry cream cheese is yummy!) My overall favorite is the pistachio... it's not for everyone (so my husband says) but I think it is a perfect mixture of sweet and nutty!

Obviously, I can't track down cupcakes every day, it's a once-in-a-while splurge. But still, I love to know the Cupcake Truck is out there, even if I can't make it down for a treat. Just knowing that Clementine is roaming the streets makes me happy!

I had been avidly stalking Sean aka The Denver Cupcake Truck for at least a month via Facebook.

Finally, on a lunch break, TDCT was within walking distance.  I hustled down to the truck, Clementine, and purchased a "Denver Snowball".  For those not "in the know" that is an almond cake with chocolate frosting and coconut shavings and yes it is as delicious as it sounds.  I have had 4 other cupcake flavors from TDCT:  Strawberry Cheesecake (delicious), Chocolate Overload (overload for me), Nutella (needs more Nutella), and Zippy Lemon (hello delicious!).

I can't tell you how excited I get when TDCT is within walking distance (please refer to the stalking statement above) and I know that a lot of Denver feels the same way as Clementine now has a line everywhere she goes.

OMG! I have a massive lemon cupcake craving...must find truck again soon.  I have raed about it to everyone in the office and they all know me fr a blueberry anything type of girl.  Hmm, maybe a blueberry lemon cupcake perhaps?

The pistachio was yummy - alittle nutty/savory with a lot of sweet frosting as was the red velvet and chocolate ginger.  I can't believe how dense and moist they are.  The vanilla is next on my list since it's my standard for comparing all these up and coming cupcake places.

Today was my lucky day! Not only was I in need of a nibble around lunch-time but I was actually craving a cupcake (yeah I sometimes eat cupcakes for lunch, so what?) I was enjoying a day out shopping with my mom at the time and she mentioned that a cupcake would make a tasty mid-day nibble as well.

So then I think to myself "hmm I wonder where The Denver Cupcake Truck is today?" Sure enough, it turns out they were actually pretty close by! So we went and ordered a Snowball - complete with almond flavored cake, chocolate buttercream, and coconut on top and we also got Lemon - lemon cake with lemon curd and vanilla buttercream. Both were very delicious and quite moist, the buttercream was the heavy dense kind that I love. The snowball flavor tasted like an Almond Joy made into a cupcake and lemon as a cupcake is always fantastic - yum!

I always am a fan of unique business concepts and this is no exception. As the first of its kind in Denver, it feels like a little tiny piece of NYC has been transplanted in Denver...perfect and very cool. I just wish I had dreamed up this first...what a fun job it would be!

I was so happy to be able to try out Denver Cupcake Truck today! It made my day for sure! Very much looking forward to the Truck being in the neighborhood again very soon!

Just in time for summer and another sign of Denver's fast-paced movement towards a place a food lover can happily call home! Dessert trucks were all the rage when I left New York (and they continue to be so). But as those sugar peddling entrepreneurs were famously rogue, showing up unpredictably and often in conflict with brick and mortar bakeries, the Denver Cupcake Truck is taking the social media route. By following the truck on Twitter and Facebook, you'll not only get the heads up on where they'll be, but the low down on mystery cupcake flavors and giveaways. Day 3 brought the truck downtown, where I could take advantage from my office and bring you this early take.

The Cake Crumbs Bakery has retrofitted a delivery truck into the hard-to-miss sweets on wheels. In addition to roaming around town, they plan on "renting" out the truck for events. Sean, the man behind the wheel, seems to have a fairly creative mind in regards to building this thing. There's some interesting customer appreciation giveaways in place (I won a tee shirt for mentioning a Twitter post) including one for someone who can down 100 cupcakes over time.

As far as the menu's cupcake standards, there's a Red Velvet, Vanilla,  Mile-Hi Mocha, Chocolate Overload, tangy Lemon Cake, almond and coconut "Snowball" and my personal favorite, the Pistachio...loaded with the tasty nuts and little chocolate morsels. The butter cream frosting is just loaded with toppings. No skimping here. Wash them down with a Coca Cola or a Jones soda if you'd like.

I'm very excited about this latest development in Denver's non-traditional food offerings, but also happy to report that the product is as tasty as the concept.
