Dine

I was very surprised at the outstanding service and delicious food!... Had what was called a chicken pot pie " far from what I imagined".... Also had mussels to die for as an appetizer! I just may have lunch there again tomorrow!... Yuuuumy! :)

Came in and had dinner with a friend that lives down the street.  Service and food great overall.  Had the Tarte Flambe for an appetizer, excellent.  Will come back just for that! My friend had the salmon which looked and tasted perfect.  I had the pot pie which was their take on something classic, absolutely the tastiest pot pie ever. The Chef stopped over to see if everything was okay, nice personal touch,especially being a neighborhood restaurant.  Great bar atmosphere.  Will be back soon!

Skip this place and here's why:

I had made a reservation on Open Table for myself and 5 co-workers for a birthday lunch celebration for two of our team members.  We walk in and there is literally one other customer in the entire restaurant at a table.  Always a bad sign at the lunch hour, but I figured we were a little on the early side, so I'd give them the benefit of the doubt.  The hostess was on the phone taking what might have been the longest order ever.  She, along with two other staff members I spotted just let us stand there for at least 10 minutes while she continued to take down the phone order.  Finally she got off and I said we had a reservation, which was funny given no one was there. I let her know that we'd like to sit outside.  Mainly because the emptiness of the restaurant was awkward and it was also beautiful outside.  She then said, if you don't mind waiting a few minutes, I'll have someone push two tables together.  This was funny since clearly she had already watched us wait a long time, but I said that's fine.  Then, nothing happened.  We waited another 10 minutes....waited...waited....she was milling about, staff members were walking around.  Finally I see one guy go out and take the 30 seconds to push two patio tables together.  Then nothing happens.  We are still waiting at the hostess stand.  She is nowhere to be found, no one comes over to seat us, nothing.  I finally just took the initiative and told our group to follow me and we headed outside to seat ourselves.  That's when I noticed both of the tables were dirty.  One even had bird crap on it.  No set ups on the table and no staff in sight.  Now, all the red flags are going off while we continue to wait for a sign of human life at this restaurant to appear.  No one ever came back out.  After waiting about another 5 minutes or so, I looked at my boss and said "let's go".  We all got up and just walked off the patio and headed down the street to one of the other 50 restaurants within a 4 block radius.  I did call the restaurant while we were walking to alert them that their table of 6 (leaving one customer in the whole place) had just gotten up and left as no one seemed to want to serve them. I said no one cared we were there apparently.  The girl apologized.  I said that's ok, bad service equals a bad review.  Here it is.  Bottom line, there are far too many fabulous restaurants in this city to waste your time having poor customer service.  This place is not worth your time.  Wake up Dine, clearly there's a reason no one was in your restaurant.
