Not only great food, but saves marriages!  I work and my husband is home with our little girl.  Every day, same story, I'd ask what's for dinner and he'd have no idea....well, the dog days are over!  Thanks to Jodi and her wonderful team, we have 12 dinners pre-made per month.   I assemble them, take 3 out of the freezer on Sunday, and we eat well for the whole week.  My daughter (picky 4 y.o.) loves them too.  I always add a little extra sauce to things, and tone down garlic and spice, but you can do anything you like and make each meal your own.  The beauty is, the intructiions are in each dinner, so my husband can cook them himself without me there!!!!.  SO easy, and we both contribute to dinner that way.  Clean up is a breeze b/c I did all the prep at Dream Dinners.  And the meals are so delicious and healthy.  I must say it would take me at least 2X the time and 3X the money to make anything close to this on my own.  Also, I'd be a nutcase trying to cook 12 completely different healthy meals a month, I'd for sure be divorced and probably weigh 300 lbs from eating takeout pizza and beer....but I digress, Dream Dinners is a lifesaver, and gives us stress free time as a family, which is what we all wish for.  Their store is also gorgrous, like a dream kitchen, and spotlessly clean, and it always smells so good.  The assembly sessions are fun, friendly and go by very fast.  It's a just a wonderful way to have a family meal and make new friends on the way.  I'll see you next month!

Initially I was blown away by the concept of Dream Dinners, however, after coming home and making some of the stuff, it just didn't taste home made. I am a total food snob and cook dinner from scratch about 5 nights a week. So I think that if I was lacking in the cooking department, this place would be for me, but nothing beats a true home cooked meal.

I absolutely love Dream Dinners. They have some really tasty dinner items and perfect portions for a couple in the city with limited time to cook on a nightly basis. I definitely recommend giving it a try. Even if you are single and would like some healthy meals. It's also a lot of fun to put the meals together at their location.

My husband and I LOVE Dream Dinners! It has completely changed the way we think about dinner. We are both busy professionals that never have time to cook dinner. I highly recommend that if you like food, like variety, are busy, and/or don't like to cook, you should TRY IT !!

Here are some fun facts about Dream Dinners if you want to read on:

    1. It's fun! About once a month we go in for our session with some wine or beer and make our meals. It is a fun thing for us to do together (my husband really likes to cook so it scratches that itch!) and the staff is extremely friendly. We often do it on date night :-)

    2. The meals are yummy!! We are so amazed that pre-made, frozen meals could be this could. The proteins and ingredients are fresh and full of flavor. We also like the variety, we have never eaten the same meal twice! Also, highly recommend the chocolate chip cookies - they are to die for!

    3. Easy! Most meals take about 25 - 30 minutes to make so if we get home at 7:00 pm we can still make a home-cooked, healthy meal quickly and sit down and eat dinner together. Clean up is also very simple.

    4. Weight watchers - if you are a weight watchers fan like me, DD has all of the nutrition information you need to enter into Weight Watchers right online.

I could go on and on. 5 stars from me!

My wife, crafty and beautiful as always, served me the most amazing tortellini one night after a long hard day making the Internet do my bidding (I work at a technology start up). I was a little shocked, as she doesn't usually use many hot spices in her cooking. With every bite I found myself making comment after comment.

"Is this a new recipe?" I asked. "The flavor profile is so balanced; almost sophisticated." "I can't believe you made this."

Her answers were coy and a little evasive, in her cute little way, and in the moment I didn't think anything of it. As I was finishing my dinner, and (almost) preparing to lick my plate clean, she looked up at me with her sweet brown eyes and inquired, "So, you really like it?"

Hell yeah I did. It was such a refreshing change of pace; like eating out, but at home.

"Well I'm so happy you like it", she said, face as straight as a poker pro, "because I just bought 12 of them".

That was 6 months ago. We've been going every month since.

I've even taken to going with her to the prepping sessions. We've made it a kind of date night. Every month we get a chance to spice up our life with a terrific variety of meals, enjoy each others company, and make our lives a little easier and a little sweeter. All thanks to Dream Dinners... and my awesome wife.

What a great time!  I actually didn't get to make my "first" meals because everyone else in my session cancelled - so they offered to put them together for me free and all I did was pick them up!   Just finished my first session of assembly, and it was so easy and fun.  I'd recommend going with a friend, but even if you don't you'll have a good time.  The staff is super-friendly and more than willing to help - and what a boon it is to have ready to cook (delicious) meals lined up in the freezer!   My husband commented every evening I served something that was made there.

I came here for the first time a little after Mother's Day.  My kind MIL got this as a gift for me since I am pregnant again, a horrible cook and poor time manager. All of this a wonderful reason for Dream Dinners. Here are the wonderful selling points of it.

    1. Its clean. I may have stated before but I am a bit of a germ nazi and this place is OK for me.

    2. They have the really great meals planned out  and suggestions about what you can add yourself.  Like this Apple Cider BBQ Chicken will taste great with a salad and small potatoes.

    3. PORTION CONTROL. Yes, I screamed it. This is a big one. You order everything in portions, either 3 or 6 servings. I seriously find that 3 servings is enough for my husband, my preschoolers and myself.

    4. They have ingredients you would never dream of owning. I mean seriously liquid smoke? I would never have thought of that.

    5. Time Management. I mention before I am a poor time manager. It is not until I am usually hungry is when I start planning what I should eat. These meals are great cause they till you XXX meal takes 15 mins prep and 20 minutes to cook. Oh now I can plan my time better and not have to settle for peanut butter and jelly.

    6. Rock star cooking. Now you look like a great cook. One not everything is saute; which is my husband's code word for burnt food. To which my children have decried, we don't like saute. After the first dream dinner I cooked, my husband said we need to get more.

    7. Menu. The menus are great. For instance the July menu is lite on calories and light summer food. But the menu does change from month to month. Sometimes the store makes meals that were on previous menus that you can buy and take with you.

Somethings, if you want to bring a friend, let them know in advance. They are cool with my mom or husband coming with me cause I am pregnant and get tired. Don't forget to bring a insulated bag or some way to transport your meals home. I have found the ladies that work there to be extremely nice, friendly, chatty and helpful. They have drinks available, coke, water, coffee, and wine. They seem to have a sampler dish each time I go. They always taste pretty good.

The reason why I didn't give this place 5 stars is that sometimes the food still taste pretty bland. My kids have left it on the plate and just eaten their salad.

Try it out and make your opinion.
