A hidden gem!!!
The drinks are DELICIOUS, the food smells amazing (we just drank :) ) and the atmosphere is historic exposed brick. Â Love it!!!
Take the 100 extra steps and stop here for a Confederate ( sweet tea vodka, peach snaps, orange an pineapple) or a mimosa (holy spice. Jalapeño vodka, SRIRACHA, beef jerky, pepperochinis).
Love.
Apparently "Team Massey," aka the chef and most of the waitstaff, have moved on to greener pastures. Their absence was felt, as both mine and my fiance's burgers, ordered medium rare, were delivered well done, sans the obligatory green tomato pickles. The bartender, who has waited on us before, apologized and said "the next round's on me." It wasn't. In fact, I ordered a draft beer and never got it (luckily he didn't charge me for it), and I also had to ask for the SIN discount on my burger (which was the reason I chose that item in the first place). If you aren't going to follow through on your compensation, just don't offer. Looks like Dub's might be headed down that path of mediocrity sooner than expected.
Review Source:This has become a favorite of mine and my husband. Â They have a limited menu, but it's packed with tasty burgers, sandwiches, and southern favorites like shrimp and grits, pork belly, and fried chicken. Â They claim to get their meat and produce from local farms and make everything fresh. Â So far, everything we've ordered there we'd order again.
Service has always been friendly and informative about the local menu, and we've never felt rushed; we like places where we feel like we can tuck in, talk over a few drinks, and then order our meals. Â
Dub's also has a great craft beer selection and a handful of unique cocktails. Â
The prices are moderately high for a pub, but it's really more of a gastropub that takes traditional pub fare to the next level. Â
It's definitely worth the walk a little farther down the west end of River Street.
Horrible service! Nice clean place and food is GREAT!! the tacos were described by my friend as "unbelievable"! Presentation is great on 7 layer salad and burgers were awesome! I would recommend EXCEPT for the service!! Awful service. Waitress had a serious attitude and acted like everything was a problem. She never smiled and just threw the food on the table. Â If you go be sure Kim doesn't wait on you. She is not cut out for the hospitality industry!
Review Source:Awesome little bar on River Street. They have a great menu; we grabbed the charcuterie plate and the hummus. The complimentary wasabi peanut brittle is the best bar sneak I've ever found. Chris, the bartender/manager takes good care of his clients. Try the bourbon barrel aged Savannah brown ale if you are a beer fan.
Review Source:I ordered roasted chicken tacos with cilantro and my friend ordered a pork sandwich. Â We also tried the shoe string fries which were excellent. Â Their menu is very modern, inexpensive, and well executed--not at all what you would expect for pub fare. Â We went here since there was no wait and everything else along the river was crazy busy with long waits. Â Dub's Pub also has an excellent range of draft and bottled beers and mixed drinks. Â You will not be disappointed! Â I was shocked this place was not in YELP and felt compelled to add it.
