The Oyster Bar

Food was not very good  and service was not that good.

Stopped here on our first night in Savannah, having been recommended by our son.  He was correct.  This place had the best oysters (we had raw and rockefeller), and the cheapest well drinks ($3.00 each).  Sometimes, you just want to go sit in a bar and drink and eat oysters ... if so, this is the place!

This place was ok. Very touristy and the oysters really weren't that amazing. I was sitting at the bar, and I saw the bartender pull a plate of pre-shucked oysters out of the fridge and set them in front of me. I was hoping to get fresh ones. The whole place just seemed kind of gross and dingy. It was severely overpriced, too. I ordered a pasta dish, and it was almost $20. Ridiculous.

The only positive is the location, which is on River Street.
