I've eaten at Dukkos several times since they opened. Every meal I've  ordered has been delicious! One of my favorite meals was their fresh wild caught salmon served blackened with fresh fettucine in alfredo sauce. Their alfredo sauce will make you wonder if you've ever eaten afredo sauce before...OMG! Their smoked salmon benedict is to die for! Today I had an Italian sausage sandwich that came with a mixed green side salad. All of their sandwiches are good but I am especially fond of the roasted vegetable sandwich. My mouth waters just thinking about it! Prices are reasonable and the 5th Street Public Market location is relaxed and comfortable. Dukkos is my new favorite!

We had just finished shopping and were looking for a place to grab a bite. I don't usually care for Italian but this place caught my attention. The owners and staff were extremely pleasant and the food was amazing. They recommended a beer that was one of the best local micro's I had enjoyed recently. So if you're looking for some great Italian that stands on it's own this is the place. They also have an amazing selection of wine by the glass to enjoy.

Dukko's is okay.  Nothing too delicious, nothing too bad.

Straightforward Italian food is what they serve here - lasagna, Caesar salad, fettuccine and spaghetti and meatballs.  They also offer some tasty-sounding sandwiches which we didn't try, like the Dukko's - smoked turkey, provolone, roasted red pepper, portabella and pesto aioli.

What we did try was spaghetti and meatballs ($9.50).  The pasta (actually a small linguine) was cooked right, the meatballs were bland and dense and the marinara was pretty decent.  It was served with three pieces of garlic toast which didn't taste that much of garlic.  Nothing enticing, nothing I'd drive down to 5th Street for.

They have some big shoes to fill: Noli was a delicious institution in Eugene, and they've continued on in their own space.

The saving grace here is that the owners are genuinely nice and friendly.  They might be able to cultivate a clientele by making people feel as welcome as we did.
