Share Wine Bar & Bistro

If it wasn't for the fact that the food was EXCELLENT and the beer selection was good, this place would have gotten a 0  stars if that was possible.

We came in and sat ourselves (it's an open bar type setting), to then wait for fifteen minutes before anyone helped us. I even went to the bar to get my own menu, even making eye contact with the waitress, we still didn't get a response.  It wasn't until I was using the menu as a fan and had stared a hole through the waitress as she walked by about a half dozen times.

Halfway through our dinner no one had come by yet to see how our food was and if everything was ok.  If they had, they would have got a resounding no as our drinks were gone. Shortly thereafter, our food was gone too. After five minutes of being done with our food, and still having not seen anyone since our food was delivered, I decided to stack all our empty dishes in a pile on the center of the table...you'd think that would be a hint...but it wasn't. People kept walking by and ignoring us for another ten minutes. Finally someone came by and says, "oh, you're done already!"

Since I had split a dinner with my wife I was still hungry and was thinking of ordering an appetizer. I asked the waitress about several of the appetizers on the menu and she could not tell me about any of them other than the one she just brought out that is on "the table over there."  It's almost like she expected me to get up and walk across the restaurant and ask perfect strangers if I can stare at there food for a minute...seriously strange!

While waiting for the appetizer I ordered, my beer went dry again, and guess what...no one cared except for me. If this was a bar trying to control over drinking, that MIGHT be one thing...but this is a 3 star hotel lounge and worse case scenario I stumble to my room...but I don't see how that could happen since I've been here for over 90 minutes at this point already and only had two drinks.

So 20+ minutes later my appetizer comes out and I'm finally asked if I'd like another drink (I'm tempted at this point to say no, pay my bill, cut bait an run...but I say yes). Just then, I realize there is a hair in my shrimp scampi.  Now my wife can't take any more and unloads on the supervisor about our less than stellar service.  The supervisor offered to replace appetizer, I told her that I didn't want it unless they can have it out in 5-10 minutes.  The supervisor was great in rushing it out (only 7 minutes), but then returns with the wrong appetizer...bruschetta with shrimp instead of shrimp scampi. Oy vey!!!!!

At this point I'm waiting for someone to jump out and say, "surprise, you're on candid camera!". But it didn't happen.

While the service was absolutely terrible from the waitress, other than the hair, the food was great and I appreciated the beer selection.  The supervisor did comp our food since there were so many problems, but it doesn't make me want to come back here again even if I am staying in the hotel.  I'd recommend 6th Street Bar & Grill across the street instead of this place.
