Noli Italian Cafe

OMG.... That stands for holy f&$/@ng s&@" batman!! Noli has quickly vaulted to a must try if in Eugene. For me the first time was today 1/17. Had the white bean and pancetta soup, garden salad with a fantastic Gorgonzola dressing and for the main a gnocchi Bolognese with grilled shrimp. I have had a fair amount of gnocchi in my time, and this for me anyways was arguably the best I have ever tasted. Great lunch size portions this small quaint setting on Monroe St in Eugene is sandwiched in an eclectic neighborhood just outside of the downtown area. Located next to Sweet Life bakery before you ever walk in the door of Noli you are greeted with the warm sugary tones of a great bakery.

With a small cozy feel, and a minimalist Tuscan kind of feel, Noli hits all of the taste buds right in the mouth. Come here ready to strap on the old feedbag and step into another country as you enjoy an authentic meal with great flavors and great ambiance.

Good, simple, quaint. We had the lasagna, which had great flavor. Quantities were right on and prices were reasonably inexpensive. Service was fast and professional . I like the new location in the Whitaker neighborhood.

My co-worker and I were in town to meet with a client. I was in charge of dinner reservations. Not knowing the client well, I figured Italian was a safe choice. Noli's Yelp reviews was the deciding factor.
It was a Tuesday night and we were surprised to find how busy Noli's was. All table filled and a few people turned away when notified of a wait.
Another surprise, the Pasta was Fantastic! A few glasses of wine and a friendly server, we ended up shutting the place down (which was pretty early if I remember right).
