Get thechicken Pad See Ew. Drum does it a bit
different than you may be use to. They use very tiny little noodles
instead of the thick kind commonly used. I am hooked on this take
on the dish. I also get the thai fried rice which is amazing. The thai tea is $1.50 here which is almost to cheap because it is addictive. For the price of about $6.50 a dish this is my favorite thai place around Lane County.
Got there at 6:55, made it known we were at the window and then waited for him to open the window. Â He 'greeted' us at 6:59 and rudely told us he was closed. Â I asked if he closed at 7 and he said he decided to close early. Â When I told him I'd driven from across town he handed me a menu, pointed to a phone number and told me to call ahead next time. Â
I ate here with some friends a couple times a month but never again. Â Completely in disbelief.
The second star is awarded for the fried rice, which is the only thing you should order here. Â It's decent, but ridiculously expensive for a tiny portion.
I don't understand the insistence that Eugene has great Thai. Â No, Thai food in Eugene is better than all the other Asian options. Â It's not great. Â It's not even good. Â
Drum Rong Thai adds that extra Eugene sparkle of unbelievably bad customer service to food that ranges from lackluster to vaguely gross. Â I've given this place a lot of chances, but I'm going to let another establishment aggravate me in the future.
