Red Wagon Creamery

Very tasty ice cream in sometimes adventurous, and sometimes just delicious flavors.

Also, love the proprietor's sense of humor. Within 60 seconds of meeting him, we were exchanging jokes about afterbirth flavored ice cream. It's rare that sick people like myself meet others who're willing to "take it there" in under a minute. Makes my heart warm - the perfect antidote to a brain freeze.

Well, well, well, I keep stopping by the Red Wagon Creamery when I walk my dog.  Every time it sounds like it's a good idea to pause and savor a cone.  I love that the ice cream is locally made, the prices are reasonable, and the owner is a fun and friendly guy.  So far I've tried the flavors Frozen Goat, Mint Chocolate Chip, Smoked Salt Caramel and Heart of Chocolate.  As far as the taste, great.  I think that the mint has been my fav, as I could really taste the herbal mintiness.  However, I think there is just something a tad off with the texture of this ice cream.  It is in fact, very creamy.  But, I actually think it's too creamy...(How could that be possible?)   Each time I have it, halfway through the single scoop, my mouth is coated in a creamy film, that frankly, I don't enjoy.

I'm going to have to stick to the sorbets from now on---better for my waistline anyway.

I'm curious to know if anyone else feels the same about the texture.  Maybe it's just me.
