The good news: The drinks were affordable and the pool table was fun. There was a lady giving away earrings that she made, which I found interesting. Staff seemed pretty friendly....
However. I am always leery of bars that have the faint aroma of puke. It was the strongest sitting at the bar close to the corner. Which makes sense if you think about it. Â Overall, I probably won't make plans to go here anytime soon.
Good Times is a sports bar. Â Nothing less, nothing more. Â
On our way down to the coast for a long weekend, it was time to get some lunch and we decided to stop in Eugene. Â One friend had been here before. Â He knew where it was and we really didn't want to waste time looking for a place to eat.
A few beers were ordered and the menu was perused. Â I decided on a French Dip. Â Not sure why. Â Can't say I was even in the mood for a French Dip, but I hadn't had one in a long time and wanted a burger or a wrap less. Â The menu is dominated by sandwiches. Â Your usual suspects.
The meat on the sandwich was a bit dry. Â Guess that is what the au jus is for. Â Pretty inexpensive though at $6.25 so that lifted this sandwich up a bit.
There is better food to be had in Eugene. Â It is a college town. Â If you are near here, you'll get a standard meal. Â If you want to explore around town more, the payoff should be better.
