Empire Szechuan Restaurant

A-OK. Take-out quality, American Chinese food in a stand-alone restaurant. Clean interior with 80's decor (mauve walls, lots of hanging pothos plants, etc). No surprises or blunders. Had shrimp chow fun/wonton soup & General Tsao/hot & sour lunch specials; under $20. Attentive & friendly staff a nice feature.

I could not even rate this but  this site  made me give it one star because their lunch special that I took out was horrible.  I actually threw it out after two bites.   I ordered Shrimp with Broccolli.  The shrimp were small, rubbery and tasteless, maybe there were about 4 in all and the broccoli was overcooked.  The brown  sauce was so runny and had no taste.  The soup that came with the lunch special  came in a  very small coffee cup with two wontons and had no flavor whatsoever.  $8 and so disappointed and I won't be going back.
