    Overpriced hookah
    Terrible food
For a restaurant named Fairouz, they played nothing close to that kind of classy music. Nothing reflected a true middle eastern restaurant.
Do not go if you are over 21-years-old, especially on a Saturday night - the scene is very teen-ish.

Great food, great service. Loved the grape leaves and the falafel tasted very fresh.

not a huge fan of inhaling cigarette smoke while I try to relax at a hookah bar...  you can smoke cigarettes as well as shisha here.......
what you see  is what you get...   located in a strip mall next to high rise condos.... this would be my last resort for entertainment.....

this review is based on only hookah.... arrived on a weeknight...
place was full.. but not packed..
Hookah is overpriced.. and not the best.... this place is pretty trash-tas-tic... if you ask me...
tables are crowded next to one another.. and extremely uncomfortable...
I believe I paid $3.50 for a can of gingerale....on top of the $5.00 fee.. they added for waiter service or some crap...
won't be back... -- especially not when there are many other classier hookah options that are well worth your while.

This place is pretty interesting. Dimmed lights, dark paint on the walls, belly dancers, and hookah. I would came here again.

I heard some good things about this place so i went there with my friends. It was not a good experience.
    Good:
    Food, polite staff,
    Bad:
Dirty tables, worn seats, pricing, Interior is terrible.
I don`t think I will ever go there again. There is some better places to smoke hookah.

This place used to be my GO-TO spot for hookah. I loved the atmosphere and the hookah was always delicious.

For the last 2-3 years though its really gone down hill. The music is always blasting and it makes it impossible to talk or interact with friends. Seating is old and worn, tables are usually dirty, and the staff doesn't seem to care or pay attention a lot of the time. It used to be one of the only hookah bars around, so I had no choice though.

You can always find underage high school kids smoking because they rarely card people (I know because I used to go here very often when I was in high school). This is a minor annoyance though.

The real problem is the prices here. Paying the check is always a surprise. Sometimes the price of hookah is $15, sometimes $20, sometimes $25 or more. Most of the time the waiters who usually can't speak English literally force you and everyone at your table to buy drinks, which is really annoying since they're all overpriced (RedBull=$4.50). Also sometimes they have "live music" during which they charge a $10-20 cover charge and the music is obnoxiously loud and usually you can't understand anything anyways.

Recently a lot of Hookah bars have been popping up in the NoVa area and I haven't been pressed to go to Fairouz so I haven't. The hookah as been hit or miss, sometimes good but more often bad so I see no reason to trek out to Skyline for this place anymore. BTW Don't ever eat here!

The manager tired to rip  me and my friends off. Because we were not going to buy food or hookah, he asked us to leave which was strange because we had a pot of tea. When we got our receipt, he charged us $12 for a pot of tea when the menu stated $5. We argued with him stating that the menu says $5. He tried to justify it by saying that we did not order food or hookah.  We left the spot with complete dissatisfaction due to his dishonesty and integrity. If there was a policy stated that we would be charged extra, then i would have understand.

This is a nice hookah bar.  It's easy to miss in its tiny shopping center full of other hookah bars and restaurants, but it's a real treat once you get inside.

It doesn't get too smoky in here (they must have good ventilation) and the food is yummy if not outstanding. I've only ever had water here, so I can't comment on their drinks.

The staff is helpful and doesn't overcharge, and the atmosphere is nice. My only reservation is that it gets really loud at night, with a club feel, and sometimes it's too loud for me. It's perfect, though, for a lazy Sunday afternoon when it's raining.

We went there for dinner. The food is good and price reasonable. I would recommend beef and lamb sandwich.

This place is not a typical dining place though which we don't expect (we went there using a livingsocial coupon). It's mostly for people who smoke their hookah. We were actually the only table who were actually eating. All other 5 or 6 group of people were smoking. So... since I'm not smoking, I may not go back there again.

so it was sunday, the day after st pattys day.

my girlfriend and i were exhausted from the activity of the past couple days and decided we needed to have a chill day. we bummed around for a bit early in the day and by mid afternoon were both passed out on the couch. we ended up sleeping through a good portion of the evening and waking up at about 830.

because we had fallen asleep and slept through dinner, we decided that we needed to get something to eat. but woe was us it was 9pm on a sunday and most places would closed within an hour, if they werent not already.

so we scoured yelp for a solution to our predicament. and this is what we came up with. a middle-eastern hookah bar that is open til 3am daily. (2am according to the door.) we had been meaning to check out a different local hookah place for a long time but unfortunately that place wasnt open and this one was. a winnar is they. indeed the mere fact that this place is open until 2am every day is a huge selling point.

we knew when we pulled into the parking lot that it was going to be a good time, or at least an interesting one. the parking lot was completely full by the time we got there at about 1030. and at least half of the cars were off duty cabs. we were actually pretty lucky to get a spot relatively quickly.

the place is located in a little strip mall that is composed entirely of middle-eastern cafes, restaurants, bars, and shops. we did a bit of walking around and a few of the other places looked pretty cool, probably worth checking into. the place sorta seemed like it was the hotbed for all the middle-eastern business in the area.

the cafe which has unshaded glass windows looked like solid cloud of smoke from the outside. walking in, we were greeted by a nice older man in a red shirt who we presumed to be the owner. he showed us to our table and later on in the evening asked us how everything was. he seemed like a pretty cool dude and kept us laughing because he would frequently throughout the night start dancing or goofing around with other patrons who i assumed were regulars.

that reminds me, there was very loud, live, music. all the music was arab/middle-eastern themed but modern and techno-y. i think the guys performing were just a drummer, a keyboarder and a male singer. we couldnt really see the back of the place, where they were playing, because we were seated in the very front against the window plus there was a sizable crowd in the way. im pretty sure that every table was filled. either way, the music was awesome. i loved it. apparently a lot of other people did too because frequently people would just get up and start dancing at their tables and at one point i actually saw a guy make it rain on the singer. even though the place didnt seem to have a real dance floor it looked like that had a small sort of makeshift one back in front of the bar where the band was.

i was slightly concerned about how well the wait staff was going to be because at first glance out waitress was a bit flaky, she had to double check our order and almost brought us the wrong dish but realized her mistake at the last minute. once our food did arrive she seemed pretty well on top of things.

i ordered a falafel sandwich and my lady ordered a platter with rice, grilled chicken and salad, the actual name of which escapes me. we also split a turkish coffee and a code 69 flavored hookah, which we insisted on calling "chode 69".

the falafel sandwich was good, but nothing special, however the fries that came with it were very good. they kinda tasted like arbys curly fries but they werent curly and gave me the satisfaction of not being at arbys. the turkish coffee was also very good. it was very sweet and kinda sludgy. i suppose thats to be expected but i wouldnt recommend drinking it without some water by your side.

we couldnt discern the exact flavor combination of the tobacco but strawberry was very prominent.  it seemed to be fairly high quality. it remained smooth and flavorful the entire hour and a half that we were there. the coal seemed decent too, given that we didnt need to get a new one the whole time we were there.

the price was a little over the top but i think if you were coming here for hookah or food exclusively that wouldnt be a problem. a sandwich, a meat/rice/salad platter, two bottles of water, two turkish coffees and a hookah came out to about $70 according to my girlfriend, she paid. (THANKS, BABS! :D)

over all the place was pretty awesome, i think were will definitely be back. the two things that were a bit dodgy were the service and the price. other than that its a cool place, good music, good atmosphere, good hours, good food, good hookah.

Way out there for us DC folk, but worth the trip when I want to feel like I'm back in the Middle East.  More than any of the places in DC, this random little shisha cafe in a strip mall is filled mostly with people speaking Arabic and Amharic (minus most of the waitresses) and many people playing backgammon.

    PROS:
    -Starbuzz tobacco (amazing)
-Not ridiculously expensive for Starbuzz ($15)
    -Mint tea is awesome
    -Middle-East feel
-Food is decent (chicken shawerma sandwich)
-Plentiful seating and a number of outlets, so somewhat good for studying at off-hours
    -Alcohol

    CONS:
-Music gets ridiculously loud at times (especially when the DJ arrives later on in the evenings) and isn't Arabic most of the time
    -Service is super spotty
-Hate shisha places that have belly dancers (if I'm at a shisha place, I want to chill)
    -Random location/Far from DC
-Parking is a disaster on the weekend

Pretty chill spot. Shisha is smooth. The best is the blue mist with their mint tea. Difficult to get the waitress' attention when it's busy, which it is often especially on weekend nights. Parking can be a pain when it's busy since the shopping center has so many stores and not many parking spots.

Came to Fairouz on Christmas Day because I couldn't take anything being closed any longer!
The hookah was good, it was rather busy, tables were rather close together,to the point I kept elbowing people by accident,  so I wouldn't suggest this place for a group of 5 or more.  The service was good, although they kept rushing us to order food about every 5 minutes, which was rather annoying, I just wanted to sit and smoke my hookah. Cover is $5 for special singers, music was good and the TVS had a combination of soccer and football games on.
I didnt try any of the food at the time, since I'm gluten intolerant and almost everything is breaded (but thats not there fault, I know I'm odd) Overall, decent place only three stars b/c it wouldnt be my first choice in hookah bars due to space.

Fairouz has good shisha and very friendly staff. The owner is a sweetheart. Its very slow during the week with an older crowd. However, on the weekends it gets packed. The downfall is that the space is small so when it is busy your not very comfortable also the parking is almost impossible to find! Get there early if you don't want to do circles searching for a spot! They try to do a lot of promoting through deals and word of mouth. There is a belly dancer which I find pretty cool.

On the George Mason strip mall there are at least 5 hookah bars.  Out of all of them this is the best selection to go to.

The Pros: Their hookahs are very smooth.  They also use Star Buzz shisha, which is some of the best out there.  This place does not cheap you out and will give you charcole every 30 minutes.  They also don't rush you out the door, I once spent 3 hours in there.

The Cons: I am a fan of ambient atmospheres, especially for hookah lounges, this is not one of them.  It gets very crowded on the weekends, and its early hard to get relaxed.  I hope you don't mind sitting shoulder to shoulder with the table next to you, because more than likely that is the way it will be.

Overall: I would recommend Fairouz if you are in the area.  It is very Ethiopian authentic and worth giving it a shot.

So somewhere in a strip mall that looks like the little middle east in Arlington is this hookah bar with a fantastic dj. Sitting in this smokey tiny cafe, watching people smoke their shisha and play backgammon, it definitely feels like you're somewhere more exotic.  Being that every country I want to visit this year is having some sort of political upheaval I take what I can get.

Quite honestly I would sit here all night and smoke some blue mist and listen to the dj who is fantastic.  We did order a mezze plate, and I can say their falafel and anything with lamb is fantastic. The owner was very hospitable and made sure we had a good time, he also sent over some complimentary dessert which was much appreciated.

More about the dj though: finally an international dj that actually pays attention to the international charts. Thank you thank you thank you for not playing Tarkan's "Simirak" over and over like it's the only arabic song on earth that came out in the last decade.  There's no dance floor so you just kind of dance in between the tables.

Highly recommended for a fun night out in the burbs!

The SO and I were in the neighborhood, just checking out the Ethiopian places, and out walks Achmed (hope I'm spelling your name right!), who I think was the owner of Fairouz.  Gracious beyond belief, and showing a level of hospitality that I haven't seen since my trip to the non-touristy area of Cairo, I couldn't have asked for more.  We didn't do the hookah, but instead had a really fantastic lamb and couscous dish (enough that the two of us shared it for dinner the next night as well) and a chicken shwarma that was good but not nearly as fantastic as the lamb.  We'll definitely be back.

I like this place very much.  My wife even likes it, and she does not smoke hookah!  The food is excellent, prices very reasonable. My MEETUP group meets here often. The service is excellent, everyone calls me by my first name.

I give this place, an enthusiastic "thumbs-up"

I give it a 3.5  Fairouz was recommended to me from my friends new roomate while we were helping him move last night.  Not being new to DC but the area we wondered what was around and as soon as the roomate heard we both liked shisha this was the first place they said we should go.

We walked in and I wasn't disappointed by the decor but not overly impressed either.  Typical to any other place, except there were some neat paintings on a few walls.  They weren't professionaly done, just some neat paintings of some scenery in the Middle East.  The shisha actually never got harsh and tasted great, the hot mint tea (a pot for only $5.50) hit the spot, and the food was tastey.  I got the lamb kabob which came with a side salad and rice with some vegetables on top.  Nothing mind blowing but good nontheless.

The only downsides to the whole night was that they turned the soccer off the tvs and put on the football game, I don't wanna watch the NFL at a shisha bar come on!, and at the end of the night we had to go up to our waitress both to say we wanted to pay and to actually pay.  Up untill that point service was great though.

i went here with high hopes after reading some good reviews but i left disappointed.

had the chicken schwarma sandwich and it was ok at best.  the lettuce they put on the sandwich was spoiled and had brown spots on it.  i picked it all off but it was such a turn off i had a few bites and couldn't eat anymore.

maybe i hit them on a bad day, but any place that serves brown lettuce is not somewhere i plan to return

This is certainly one of the best places to eat in this shopping center.  The kibseh (kind of like a spanish rice) with chicken is delicious.  The rice is well seasoned and the chicken is very moist and tasty.  I recently split the large combination platter with my lunch companion.  It was 30 bucks, but it was a ton of food.  I would recommend this for someone who has never been here as most of the things are very good and you can get a feel for the place.  The ground beef kabob was excellent, even though I normally think they are dry and lacking flavor.  The meat pies and hummus are also good.     The down sides are that it is very dark, and they give you a bottle of water when you ask for water.  If you can deal with the smoke, I would definitely recommend this place.

An excellent shisha joint in a very nondescript location (a strip mall off George Mason Drive).

The shisha is excellent, the kind that you can smoke for hours without it getting too harsh on the lungs. Prices are reasonable, too, $10 on weekdays and $12 on the weekends. The food isn't spectacular, but the hummus is good and the shawerma sandwiches are fresh and tasty.

A few reviewers have said that the service here is unimpressive. That's true. Fairouz is run by Arabs, though, so you should *expect* the service to be unimpressive; that's part of the atmosphere. You wouldn't want a shisha place rushing you out the door, would you?

One other plus: Non-stop Arabic music videos. Though last time I was here, inexplicably, they muted the music videos and piped in... Spanish music.

I've been here several times and I love it.  They have the best sheesha and cheap hookah rates.  They're clean, flavors are great and the food is awesome.  The environment has a lounge feeling with music playing in the background.  This is one of my favorite spots.  The owner is very friendly as well as the waiters and waitresses.  They are very quick at exchanging coals and pack the flavors very well.  I definitely recommend this place for hookah.

There was a special event once where they had a bellydancer entertain everyone.  Even the owner is there most of the time and remembers people who come often.

The only downside is the price of the smoothies haha.

This remains the best shisha cafe in the area that I've been to, and the owner, Ahmed, is a saint. He will make any complaint you have, right. That's just his ownership style and it's a breath of fresh air if you appreciate engaged and friendly management. He also has a very friendly staff that will take the time to get to know you and will remember your name and what you like to order.

Do drink their mint tea, have a shisha, relax, and pretty soon this will be your favorite cafe too. When I first started going to Fairouz, it was a little smaller (pre-renovation) and mostly frequented by middle aged and older Arab men drinking coffee and playing backgammon or reading the paper. Now the clientele is younger and those authentic scenes of middle eastern men smoking as they would back home, is all but absent. I miss the old Fairouz, the one that reminded me of my time working in North Africa.

I couldn't decide between 2 and 3 stars so I gave it the third because as a hookah bar its probably better.  I went to this restaurant the other day to eat, not to smoke hookah and while the smoke didn't bother me and the ambiance was nice the food was unimpressive and the service was TERRIBLE.  WE had a table of 10 in the middle of the restaurant and it took us an hour to get the check!  And this on a tuesday night when the place wasn't THAT busy.  They also charged for bottles of water (apparently no free water available) and at $2.5 a bottle I'lll admit I felt a little cheated. I mean if you go to the middle east you pay for bottle water because the tap water isnt' safe to drink but at least its no where near that expensive! My food was OK, I've had better and nobody else at my table seemed that impressed with theirs either.

We got the hummus because I heard other people talking about it on here, but I wasn't impressed, it was very average.

It ranks #2 for my favorite hookah places anywhere.

They're always friendly and their hummus and other food is amazing!

I love when they have 1950s era middle-eastern movies on - they are hilarious to watch.

I love to take friends who visit the area here to chill and talk for a few hours.

Soooo.... what to say about my first Hookah experience?  Well, it was pretty fun.  Jose and his friend Lisa apparently come here a lot, so on Saturday I drove to DC from Richmond and this is where I ended up.

We ordered hot tea for the table and I had a steak and lamb sandwich.  I guess it was supposed to be pita-esque because it was wrapped in a tortilla (or whatever a more authentic name would be).  It was pretty good, although the large steak fries reminded me of a carnival.

The Hookah was okay (the cinnamon burned, but the melon was fresh tasting) and I only got slightly nauseous later that night (apparently it could have been worse).

Went there yesterday after work with a Co-woker to smoke Shisha.  I had never been before so I didn't really have any expectation.  Turned out to be a great place.  We had a little problem when I order a rum and coke, but the owner came over to the table and made everything better.  He even came back to the table several times to make sure we had a great experience.  I could tell he really took pride in his establishment.

The food was good.  We had some platter that had a little bit of everything we wanted.  All in all it was a great experience and would go again.  I would also recommend others to go as well!

I am not from the area, but turned to Yelp to find a kebab place near Falls Church.  I ended up here.

When I walked in, I felt like I was entering a restaurant in a third world country.  I don't mean this in a bad way, it just felt authentic.  The decor was dark, they had bizarre middle eastern TV on and people were smoking hooka pipes.

I had the mixed kabob plate.  Everything was wonderful, the lamb especially was tender and very tasty.  The food was top notch.  We also had hummus which was the best hummus I have ever had.

Their hooka bar and belly dancing at night looks like a great time.  Sadly, I had to fly out that night so I could not return.  Maybe next time.

I'm very excited that this place is near me, since I'll now be frequenting it often after my first visit today.

I went for lunch and loved it. The location is in a small off the beaten path shopping strip in the Skyline area close to 395. There are lots of tables and even a few people on their laptops during lunch.

The food was authentic with generous portions. I had the hummus nicely dowsed in olive oil, the chicken kabob and a banana pineapple smoothie. They were extremely accommodating (gave us an extra extra large salad) and great with customer service. One of the staff members had a shirt that said, "The customer is #1" and the employees were so nice and friendly.

They let me know that typically on weekends they serve food as late as 2 or 3am (might make for some great late night grub) with live music and belly dancers.

I saw the hookahs lined up in the closet so I'll definitely plan to return one of these weekends and continue to support our local establishments!

I've never been to a hookah bar before so I don't have anything to compare this to, but I enjoyed my first smoking experience at Fairouz. It is located in a weird strip mall that you don't see right away if you are following google map directions, but it's pretty easy to circle round and go back in. that said, the parking lot is a cluster and when we got there at 11PM one night we couldn't find parking so we left and came back at 1AM when some of the traffic had died down.

Fairouz itself is rather un-atmospheric and loud, but the serivce was prompt and we wore out before our hookah did. We tried Mandarin flavored tabacco which was nice and my friend CJ showed me how to smoke and I tried to enjoy it while thinking of all those anti-smoking ads with the shriveled blackened lungs.

But really, it was interesting and there were loads of people there and everyone was having a good time, and a college guy hit on me which was charming until he asked how old i was an i realized i was an old woman and should not be out after midnight anymore.

I like this place, A LOT! It's a good/bad thing this place is out of the way for me and my friends. If I lived close by, I'd be a hookah/shisha fiend since I would be here all the time.

I've been twice and both times were excellent. My virgin foray involved a friend who had just come back from Iraq, a pal in DC who was obsessed with finding a place to smoke, and of course me, who discovered hookah in Russia of all places....

It's located in a rather old-school strip mall and we had trouble finding parking. We got there rather early on a Saturday night so it wasn't crowded yet. We ate some really awesome food, some of the best Mediterranean food I've had in the area with really reasonable prices. We were thoroughly entertained by the random Arabic music videos that were playing on two screens. Our waiter, who seemed to be in charge (so maybe a manager or owner) helped us with menu selections, and provided suggestions for tobacco flavors. Guava is my new favorite! He also hit on my friend quite a bit, but hey I'm not complaining he brought us extra coals and kept things going for the hours (like 5!) that we were there. I'm all about pimping my friends out if it gets better service/free stuff. I don't think she minded either....

One note of caution: At night it gets super crowded and service can dwindle, I'd recommend going earlier to secure a place and to avoid the crowds

All in all a good experience, it loses a star for being so darn out of the way. It's hard to convince people to trek into VA, so the only other time I've gone is one quiet afternoon where I read a book, smoked, and ate. Still a good experience.

Great recommendation, all you other Fairouz patrons! I drove across state lines to come and enjoy Shisha here and it was all so worth it. We tried Starbuzz double apple with mint tea before we dived into the Middle Eastern delicacies. And I was finally able to find Kabsa here, we had both lamb and chicken Kabsa and a mixed grill platter with Hummus. Everything was delicious and authentic. Also, watching Saudi soccer on flat screens while you smoke away with occasional sips of mint tea, where else would you get that on this side of Atlantic?

Smoky, cavernous, mysterious and hidden in a strip mall in Bailey's Crossroads. After reading the Yelp reviews of Fairouz, I was determined to visit this exotic "gem" in Arlington. It is a hookah bar so be warned if you cannot handle smoke, even applewood scented. I went for Sunday lunch on a bright and sunny day. The restaurant is located in a brown single story mall with narrow shop fronts strung together like dried dates. There is a wide array of vendors, from stone baked pizza, many Ethiopian markets (small with sparse shelves but much bread, and many videos), and several cafes. Although we (two women) went during the day, the interior of Fairouz had the feel of the kind of place where proper women might not set foot. I loved it! There were many tables (a padded bench along one wall, and around 40 tables closely packed together); velvety maroon walls; large paintings appear small on the cathedral high walls; chandeliers twinkling from the ceiling; and two flat screen TVs. One of the TVs shows music videos from the Middle East (Oh Haifa!) and the other screen shows classic black and white belly dancing movies. There were a few groups of men and one young urban Arlingtonian couple sitting along the wall bench, puffing on a hookah, nibbling on on goodies, socializing on a lazy Sunday. We ordered hummus with pita (it was fine but not over the moon), chicken kebab with rice (oh, my gawd, such yummy chicken! Juicy, flavorful, alone worth going for), chicken with couscous (half a chicken, roasted atop a bed of whole roasted veggies on a mountain of couscous served on a ceramic elevated platter (the couscous was a little overdone but it was okay); and to drink, we had banana smoothie (yum-oh), mint tea (yeah, real mint leaves), and turkish coffee (sweet, thick and bitter - not bad).

So, the food gets four stars (but the chicken is a five). The service was okay. We never got any water even after we asked. But I give Fairouz five stars overall for the atmosphere... lots of groups of men (and some smoking hot women) sitting around enjoying hookah. I miss the Egyptian dive that used to hide up in Georgetown but this place might fulfill my desire for a smoky cafe with belly dancing, live Bolivian band (I can't wait to see the cultural blending going on there), and general anti-yuppiness.

AND A WARNING! Keeping up with the anti-PCness, don't come here if you're offended by the superflurous photos of scantily clad women on the hookah menu and on the drinks menu! Or the groups of men, men and more men hanging out. And, this place is not like the website at all, so don't be mislead, mistaken or misinformed. It's much darker and dive-ier than the website. Thank goodness. I can't wait to come back.

I happened upon this place while busy getting lost in Bailey's Crossroads and I believe I found a gem.  I had lunch, when they have specials for just under $7.

Best Lamb Schwarma I've ever had (outside of the middle east).  Lamb was tender and flavorful.  The sandwich is full of garlic and tahini.  mmm mm. It could possibly be laced with crack b/c I've been craving more ever since.

You really experience the culture here.  The atmosphere is cool - dark lighting, traditional decor and great oil paintings with traditional "homeland" scenes.  I really dig the paintings.  Also adding to the ambiance are two big flat screen TVs showing news in some middle eastern-origin language and music videos with lots of guys with cheesy mustaches.

I got great service here, too.  I was in a hurry to get back to getting lost, so I asked if they could serve me quickly and they pleasantly obliged.

C'est la creme de la creme.
C'e la migliore alternativa al Cairo.
...or I guess I should say al Libano, in respect to the cafe's name.

Don't mistake this for yet another hookah bar amongst the six or seven that already exist in this strip-mall-o-middle-east-slash-north-africa-slash-token-salvadorean-restaurant-too... because it really is better than all the rest. It has delicious Lebanese food. It has a relaxed, comfy, down-to-basics-in-the-homeland atmosphere. It has the (legal) smoke. It has the music... the (non-alcoholic) drinks... the people.

Really, the biggest difference between this cozy spot and the others is the people. It has an older, more relaxed, sophisticated crowd that come to truly enjoy the experience with all the wonderful ammenities that Fairouz has to offer. No longer does one have to watch obnoxious kids take pictures smoking their hookah in hopes of getting one new cool myspace picture... no no; there's none of that here.

Instead, you can enjoy watching a belly dancer... or a live musical performance... or your fellow patrons getting up and dancing to the music because they just can't help it... or Nancy Ajram or someone of the like on the Arab music videos that are put on repeat on TVs around the cafe... I think you get the idea. But yes, all the while you can and should do this while enjoying a pot of freshly brewed hot cardamom tea and your favorite flavor of hookah... that's if you're not the one dancing, of course... and if you are the one dancing, PLEASE DON'T SUCK AT IT.

I give you my word that everything's good here, so don't be scared to try something new. Just keep it on the downlow, okie?

And if your friends ask you about Fairouz and you don't think they're vip-cool-status enough to know about it yet, just send them next door to Oasis... or next next door to Aladdin... or if you really don't like them, send them on the other side of the strip to Prince. That'll definitely keep them away.
