Context: Thursday afternoon around 2:30pm with about 6 existing diners seated and already eating.

This is really a follow-up to a non-posted previous experience.  Since it is fresh in my mind I will say the Pollo here today surpassed expectation.  I remember the chicken being decent but today it hit a note with me and strutted itself around the coupe.  The recipe for flavor is a bit different than the other well known spots and I would dare to say that all the flavor on these birds resides in the skin.  Be sure to cut each bite so you get some of the crispy flavor packed skin with the juicy chicken inside.  Without the skin the chicken was overly moist (good thing) but was not seasoned in the least.  The skin is texture walked that fine line between perfect and over done and stayed on the right side of the fence....crunch, hmmmm, crunch, hmmmm with each bite.

Quickie Tippy: Time your visit so you're not standing in a line out the door.

I seemed to have hit this spot at the right time (after lunch rush but before dinner) and I fairly confident my experience may have been different during a peak hour. The inside of the establishment is small and holds, i'm guessing, 25 seats for customers.  It's easy to see how the time of day at The Chicken Place could weigh heavily on your experience. Don't expect the Ritz Carlton ambiance or even a Ruby Tuesday's but if you can deal with a small roadside dive you'll make it fine with their decor and setup.

The sauces here could be worked and improved in my opinion.  Their 'yellow' sauce looks like a 'orange/pink' sauce and the main take back I got was it was almost pure liquid. I literally poured the remained of one of my dipping cups into the other and it was as fast as a waterfall.  I didn't really mind it though as I came for the chicken and their chicken arose to the occasion.

Just ate here a few minutes ago,

I usually go to Edy's across the street but I thought I would give this place a try.
The rumor is that the owner of this place and the owner of Edy's across the street were once married, but when they split up they opened competing restaurants.
This place is pretty spartan, not as clean as Edy's and most of the employees are women.  Edy's definitely has a women's touch, and most of the employees are men, I think the rumor is true.

Anyway, the chicken is solid as far as Peruvian chicken is concerned.  Compared to Edy's the the ingredients are just a tiny bit lower quality.  The salad for example looks old, they should just cut their costs and not serve it at all.  Another thing they cheap out on is the yellow sauce, it's watered way down.  On top of that they are really stingy with it.

If you find yourself here, just focus on the chicken.  It's salty, juicy, and falls right off the bone.

If you have a choice head over to Edy's it's a bit pricier, but worth it.  Even the cassava fries are better there.

    Logistics:

Beware, park only in the spaces allotted to the restaurant, my friend had his car towed after a spotter saw him park by the Chili's across the lot.
